Chapter Thirty-Four:

Undisclosed Bar

The whole room itself was quiet except for the sound of a TV. A familiar pale-skinned villain was watching intently, but he was glaring at the current match-up: the green-haired brat against the peppermint brat.

"Damn little brat... he's gonna become a bigger threat." the villain growled clutching at the spot where his hand used to be.

"Young Tomura, there's no need to feel that frustrated. Another opportunity will come."

Tomura grumbled a bit, but Sensei was right, another opportunity would come. The next time, he'll crush that fucking brat!

"Oh, I almost forgot. We have company coming within the hour."

"Who?!"

Haiguan City, Shura-Kokka

It was a coastal city on the north side of Shura-Kokka, known for being the center during the typhoon season from April to October. On the coastline, it was occupied by high-rise apartment buildings and hotels, the issue? It was hard to tell apart. Further inwards is where it resembled more of a town than a high-rise city, complete with smaller buildings with a more traditional look in terms of design and architecture.

"Wǒ kào! Kid's a fucking natural!" exclaimed a heavyweight man with a small grin with two striking features: ash-white hair and swarthy skin.

"This says your cousin all over it," replied a tan-skinned woman with short ear-length hair, likely his wife. "I'm surprised Kensei was training someone."

"Yep. It fucking does. Though I'll say this, that peppermint brat, Todorodo? Kodoroki? Fuck it, Icey-Hot. He has a powerful Quirk but no fundamentals as a fighter. Okay, there was that boxing but any amateur can do that."

"Your opinions on the rest, Ryuki?"

Ryuki's tone changed for a bit, going analytical. "In terms of who fought at their best, I'll give it to that Yorucho girl, Kirishima, and definitely Kendo. Gourai-Ryu means that bearded geezer's still around."

"Wait... is that the same guy who fought your father to a standstill?!" exclaimed the wife.

"Correct, Yara."

"The same guy who fought on an island that was sunk by an earthquake the day after a local tourney concluded? THAT GUY!?"

"Exactly."

Yara's face went from normal to absolute shock, then sputtered a response. Or at least what passed for one.

Ryuki just laughed hysterically in response. "Trust me! That's just the cover story."

"C-C-Cover st-story?!"

Midoriya Apartment, Musutafu City

Inko was many things, overprotective was one of them, especially seeing how her boy performed in the Sports Festival. She was always on edge, wondering if Izuku would be okay, but his match against Todoroki brought a different feeling.

"Keep away from him, Izuku, and you'll be fine," Inko said, still worried.

BAM!

The first strike silenced her, wondering if that was the same Izuku she raised. On top of that, her baby boy was controlling the flow of the fight!

BAM! POW!

SMACK!

Inko was covering her eyes, becoming a bit disturbed about how brutal her son was getting.

POW!

SMACK! SMACK!

"I-I-Izu, is t-that t-truly you..." said Inko. One thought was running through her mind, 'What type of training did Kensei make my baby boy go through?!'

Detnerat Branch Office, Deika City

There was a whole meeting room headed by a man with a pointed nose, who was waiting for another meeting within two hours. In an attempt to pass the time, he watched the UA Sports Festival.

"Huh, interesting batch."

The Calvary Battle aspect was something he enjoyed: it involved the usage of teamwork and careful timing when it came to offense and defense. It was the combat tourney that truly got his attention.

"What...?"

A green-haired boy who looked plain, for a lack of a better term. He was dominating his fights.

"Hmm... this Sports Festival had my interest, but now?" said the man. "It has my full attention. Especially the green-haired boy, Midoriya, was it?" the man responded to no one in particular.

"Chitose would love to take a crack at this, wanting to know what his motivations, interests, and maybe... just maybe... convince him to join our cause."

The man was lost in thought until he got a call from the intercom.

"Sir, we would like to inform you that Ms. Kizuki and Mr. Hanabata will be arriving earlier by a period of 45 minutes."

"Hmm... alright, anything else...?"

"Ichikawa, sir. And no, there's nothing else to report."

"Carry on then, Ichikawa."

The City Eyrie

It was a simple office with a flat-screen TV in the middle, but there was something keeping the sole occupant's attention. The UA Sports Festival, or more specifically, a green-haired kid.

"Well, shit," said the occupant who had blonde hair. "I never thought Hokuto Shinken was still around. Well... there goes my day off."

BRING! BRING!

"This is Hawks."

...

"Yea, I definitely saw. Looks like an easy day I planned for has gone out the window, huh?"

...

"Yea yea, I get you. Oh, the kid's name's Midoriya? Not like I'll meet the kid anytime soon."

...

"Anyway, I knew you weren't making a social call."

...

"I know, I know, I have a big debt to you," Hawks responded. "In all seriousness, thanks. I owe you for keeping the Commission at more than an arm's length."

...

"Yea yea yea, I know. Again, thanks, Master."

The convo soon ended, Hawks exhaling for a bit and saying to himself: "Well, Midoriya. I hope you're enjoying that victory... my training is gonna skyrocket in difficulty. So thanks for that, thanks..."

UA Stadium

"Shichisei..."

All-Might was in a mix of emotions. On one hand, he was shocked by the audacity of the vigilante being here. On the other, it seemed like he reformed genuinely despite his combat performance saying otherwise.

"You... you did this to Midoriya," All-Might said through gritted teeth. "You made him into this."

As events came to a close, the awards ceremony was going to be in a few minutes.

"Hey, All-Might, you okay?" asked a fellow pro hero.

"O-O-Oh no, just a bit lost in thought..." said a sheepish All-Might. However, the Number One thought he would need to make a move now, steering Midoriya from Shichisei's clutches.

The Infirmary

"Your master is... terrifying to say the least. Kaibara did not a chance at all," responded Shoto in a matter-of-fact tone. "I'm curious now, where did you find him?"

"Oh, it was by chance. He saved me from three bullies, no, saved wouldn't be the right term. He destroyed them, pride and everything. Last I heard, those three became former shells of themselves."

Shoto took this in, it sounded like something you'd hear out of a Shonen battle manga, but the proof was right in front of him. However, that moment would be interrupted by a loud scream from the other infirmary room.

"FUCK! FUCKING BULLSHIT! Deku's master could have ended the match quicker! But no, fucker had to play with him for a bit."

Izuku and Shoto both sighed in response.

Nighthelm

The official name for a five-story building but the inside was a bit more interesting to see. It was a small office inside, perfect for an office manager, but with a twist: the overabundance of All-Might posters!

A stern-looking man in a white suit was paying attention to the UA Sports Festival.

"Wait, no... that's-That fighting style! There's no doubt about it, that's HIS style."

The stern-looking man laid back in his chair, quite the dilemma he was in, was he going to potentially ruin a young hero's career or let HIM walk away once more?

"No, no. Calm yourself, I need to be thorough about this," said the man to himself. "For all intents and purposes, it's safe to assume that HE did not get weaker. On top of that, he likely picked more combat styles to add to his arsenal too. However, this boy can potentially add another problem to this investigation."

The man exhaled, calming his nerves.

'I'll need to make a call, especially to Yagi.'

As he was thinking to himself, a door opening interrupted his train of thought. "Sir Nighteye, we recently got a report on the drug shipment, it's connected to the Yakuza group we have been investigating."

"Progress? Let's hear it and make it quick."

UA Stadium

The whole event was coming to a close, just in time for the awards ceremony. It took some assistance to get Midoriya, Todoroki, and also some coaxing for Yorucho to come to the newly-made podium.

"ALL FIRST-YEAR WINNERS, STEP RIGHT UP!" boomed All-Might as he handed the medals to each winner.

"Young Yorucho, you have demonstrated wit and skillful usage in your Quirk. On top of that, you sent an effective message! Class 1-B is not to be taken lightly!" exclaimed All-Might as he placed the third-place medal around her neck. The white-haired girl nodded, appreciative of it, considering that her Quirk was called borderline villainous in the past.

"Young Todoroki, you have done excellently in the Sports Festival!" as All-Might placed the silver-medal around his neck. "Your face seems different, almost as if a burden was lifted off you."

"There's a lot on my plate, plus my match with Izuku opened my eyes, though I lost, I gained and learned something in the end. I was limiting myself the entire time out of spite. That's not the hero I want to be."

"AH! You have accepted both sides? An excellent step forward I say!"

All-Might moved on to the first-place winner, putting the gold medal around his neck.

"Young Midoriya! I will admit this, your performance completely caught me by surprise! All of that martial arts expertise shows how diligent AND driven you were, if I had a chance to meet your mentor, I would happily shake his hand! This gold medal? You earned it and more!"

Midoriya felt elated. All of that harsh training, endless spars, along a few sleepless nights all lead to this. However, he did notice a shift when All-Might said, mentor.

"Though they are the winners, anyone, I mean ANYONE could have ended up on the podium! All of them competing, improving, and learning from each other! I can say without a doubt, that the next generation of heroes is growing! Now, the final thing to wrap this up.

Everyone! SAY IT WITH ME!"

"PLUS ULTRA!"

"Good Job!"

A collective murmur of surprise, following by "Wait, what?" or "Uh... you said the wrong phrase, All-Might."

"What? I thought everyone did their best... right?"

Iida Residence

It was a two-story house in a Tokyo suburb, mainly detached and sandwiched between two other large houses. However, there was a more pressing matter. A blue-haired woman was on the phone, frantic in tone.

"W-Wait, you mean... Tensei was-"

...

the blue-haired woman was relieved for a bit, only for another bombshell.

"Tensei was mutilated! W-W-Who d-did it?! Who?!"

...

"No, the Hero Killer..." the woman responded, starting to crack. "Why him... why him?"

...

"Which hospital? Where is he? I want to see him, now!"

...

"Did I fucking stutter. Which. Hospital."

...

"Hosu General Hospital. I understand. Thank you and bye."

As soon as she hung up the phone, she fell, immediately crying, wondering if her son was going to make it. She needed to be strong for him, but her other son needed to know too. She mustered up some courage and immediately dialed her other son, Tenya.

Author's Notes: Haiguan comes from the Chinese words for 'sea' and 'crown'. The crap is gonna start hitting the fan and Tensei's fate... oh boy, flip a coin for that one. Now, I wonder... should I cripple some of 1-A in later chapters?
