The sun was shinning through the window the next morning when Tess woke up. Zan was still sleeping besides her, she looked at him and thought of how much he looked like his past life self. He woke up while she was looking at him, he looked at her then pulled her near him. She stayed there for a few minutes, then went to take a shower. They were going to visit the Zomads again that day, Tess hoped they were able to learn as much as possible about the group.
The subway was a bit crowded, and Tess stood in the corner, to have a better grip during the ride. Zan stood next to her and helped her not to lose her balance. They arrived in New Jersey after a hour of riding the train. Tess walked behind Zan as he led them to the Zomad estate. The same man answered the door and he went to find Denny for them. Denny came in the room shortly after and told them that Marsha and the other were at the small park in the estate like last time. Zan followed Denny to the park bench area, and they saw Marsha sitting at the table. After approaching the table Masha said hello, then asked if they wanted to hear another story about their gifts. Zan answered that he would, Rath and Lonnie also said yes, and Tess nodded.
Marsha said that she was going to tell a story of her planet. Her planet was the third one from Antar. She was 10 years old when Zan, Ava, Valandra, and Rath visited the planet. Ava and Zan were newlyweds and they were at her planet to bring the solar system together traditionally. Ava was having a hard time adjusting to her shield when she used it with Zan. They were both great with their powers separately, but they couldn't get use to sharing their space. The shield would dim out and their colors separated until it was divided. Marsha had walked up to them and said they should try to coincide with something. Ava asked like what and Marsha responded that it should be their pick. Ava picked the water in the lake, and Marsha offered to have a countdown of the waves coming in. Zan and Ava agreed to give it a try, and it worked. Marsha then said that they were known from that day to be great power wise together. After the story Tess started to remember what Marsha was describing, and looking at the girl she could see the similarities to the 10 year old she remembered.
Denny had came into the area shortly after and offered to show them the rest of the yard. There was a swimming pool in the tour and Denny asked if they would like to take a swim. Zan answered with a yeah, and Denny said they had some guest swimming suits in the pool house if they want to use them. They were new and Denny kept them in stock in case of visitors. After changing they came out and saw that Marsha and three others joined Denny in the pool. The pool was warm and after swimming for awhile Marsha informed them that it might rain. It happened shortly after Marsha warned them. They stayed in the pool while it was raining, and left when it started to rain more. After walking around with Denny, it was time for them to leave. Zan announced that they would be leaving and Denny showed them to the front of the estate.
When they got home, Zan asked Tess if she wanted to go on a date with him to a pizza place. Tess answered that she would, and they walked thought the rain to get to the pizza place 3 blocks away from their house. At the pizza place, they ordered their food then sat at a table. Zan asked Tess what she wanted to happen with their Antar plans. Tess said that she wasn't sure yet, but hopefully it would be something she could figure out when she was ready. Zan then told her that him and Ava had wanted to return to Antar someday, but she was killed before she knew they had connections to their old life. Tess told Zan that she was sorry for his loss and he said that it was fine, and it was a faultless accident. On the way back to the apartment Tess watched Zan walk in front of her and was at ease with his capability for balancing his old life and new life.
