Chapter 14: Jason Chapter 4 Part 3

Summary:

Jason wakes up from his coma with new aspirations. A new threat rises. Remnant begins changing, for better or worse, who's to say?

Name: Jason Todd

Physical age: 15

Mental age: 26

Two Years Later

Jason woke up feeling well rested for the first time in... ever. What happened? How long had he been asleep?

"DIE!" A voice shouted.

Jason went to move, but he couldn't, his arms wouldn't respond to his thoughts. Activating his Semblance, a Shadow Clone appeared and punched the person with far more strength than a clone of his should have.

The wall cratered and shattered, letting a draft into the... where was he? An infirmary? Why? He kind of remembered telling Weiss that he needed to go to the hospital. Had she taken him to the hospital? How long had he been here?

A nurse ran in and saw the destruction of the wall before looking at Jason, "Oh, Mr. Todd. You're awake. I'll tell General Ironwood and Miss Schnee."

"Okay." Jason said, his voice raspy and cracking from disuse. "Why can't I move my body?"

"You've been asleep for two years Mr. Todd."

Jason stared at the destroyed wall, pondering what the nurse had said. He was out for so long that he didn't hear Weiss call his name and run to him, jumping into bed with him, hugging him, and planting a kiss on his lips.

"Jason!" Weiss said. "You're awake! I knew that you would wake up and you woke up!"

"Weiss." Jason said, looking at her, she had grown. He looked at his wife and was overcome with need and desire. He hadn't seen his wife in two years. He wrapped her in his arms and kissed her long, hard, and full of passion.

"Am I interrupting something?" General Ironwood asked.

"Yes." Jason said at the same time Weiss said. "Yes, but no."

"We can't." Weiss explained to Jason. Not for another three months, two weeks, six days, twenty hours, forty-two minutes, and seven seconds."

Ironwood and Jason stopped and looked at Weiss.

"Someone's excited." Jaune said, walking in.

"I thought that you were supposed to be watching him!" Weiss shouted.

"My bad." Jaune said.

"Were you and Pyrrha occupied?" Weiss snipped.

"What!" Jaune blushed. "No! Why would we! How could we! A friend was in danger. We would never."

"Uh huh." Jason, Weiss, and Ironwood said in unison.

"So, uh, you and Pyrrha?" Jason asked.

"Yeah! She totally remembered and as soon as she could afford it, she told her manager to fuck off and came here, after asking where I was."

"Good for you." Jason said. "Now, can someone please help me get the use of my body back!"

"That will take about a year of physical therapy." Ironwood said. "That's the time it will take to get you up and not a normal person."

"Ugh!" Jason moaned, slamming his head into the pillow. "What happened to my companies? What about the mines? What about Remnant? I need to..."

Weiss stopped Jason's rant with a kiss. "Shut up and do the physical therapy." She smiled.

"Don't make those eyes!" Jason whined. "I can't deny you anything when you make those eyes."

"Please." Weiss made sad puppy dog eyes at him. "Don't make me call Frost in, she's perfected the puppy dog eyes."

"Don't tell me that. She'll be impossible to discipline if she's done that."

"She's perfectly behaved as she is now, we don't need to discipline her... except for the occasional slaughter, but I blame you for that."

"Ugh. Fine. I'll do the physical therapy."

Weiss whispered something into his ear and his mouth dropped. "Okay?" She asked, kissing him on the cheek. "Okay."

"Okay." Jason breathed.

"Okay. I have to go to a meeting with daddy dearest. He made me the heir again after his mine started going off the rails after you went into a coma. Turns out that my method works, and he's been begging me to help him, and I know that it hurts him to ask for help, but it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy knowing that he's in pain because it's so cathartic, be back later, bye."

"What did she say?" Jaune asked.

"She said that if I do the physical therapy then she will get body enhancements for a present for completing physical therapy and I get to choose the enhancements, no matter how many."

Jaune shuddered at Weiss's ability to get Jason to cooperate. That was too much power.

"Hello." A girl with hair the brightest red, dressed in a pair of sweats and a zip up hoodie that looked like it was going to smother her, said.

"Pyrrha?" Jason asked.

"Yes. I woke up in time two years ago after Jaune came and watched one of my matches. I ran over and hugged him and kissed him to the astonishment of the crowd. Then my manager, Augustina, tried using her Semblance on him and I smacked her in the face... I figured out what Jaune gave me as part of our Soul Bond."

"What?"

"I can pull and Repel Aura now."

"That's awesome."

"I know right! It's really quite grand."

"That's great. So, what happened after Augustina?"

"Jaune and I left to catch up... not like what you're thinking or anything, we just got lunch and talked for a while, though, as soon as we both turned sixteen, we haven't been able to keep our hands off of each other... sorry. We thought that we could go away for a few moments, and you would be fine. There hasn't been an attack in over a week, so we thought we were safe."

"It's fine. Even if they managed to kill me, they wouldn't be able to kill me."

"Really?"

"Yeah. I don't know how much Weiss has told you, but yeah."

"She's told us everything." Pyrrha said.

"Really? Even that she likes..."

Jason was cut off by Weiss shrieking across the bond. 'I swear on the brother's that if you tell them, I am going to tell the nurse to slip laxatives and sleeping pills into your I.V. bag.' Weiss said.

'Okay, okay.' Jason sent back before looking at Jaune and Pyrrha. "...cake." He spoke.

"Gotcha." Jaune said. "Weiss told you not to tell us or you would face the consequences?"

"Yup."

"Then no, Weiss did not tell us that she likes whatever you were going to say."

"Okay."

"Mr. Todd." A nurse said. "We need to do a physical, then you will start physical therapy tomorrow."

"Okay." Jason said.

The nurse began the physical and eventually Jason was given a clean bill of health, the nurse began to leave. "Nurse." Jason said.

"Yes?" She asked.

"What should I expect from this?"

"Oh, you will eventually get feeling back in your body, and you will eventually feel a pins and needles sensation."

"Okay, thank you."

"You're very welcome." The nurse said as she left.

"That's not going to be pleasant." Jason said.

"Not at all." Pyrrha said.

"I'm going to use my shadow clones to get some work done. What's happened since I've been out."

"I caught Adam trying to attack my village." Jaune said.

"What happened?"

"I kicked his ass, it was awesome."

"Spill." Jason said. "I need to know."

"Okay." Jaune began. "So, I was just going through some katas for School when..."

Jaune swung 'Redeemers' Blade' faster and faster until he was moving at speeds that not many people, who weren't Jason, could follow. It was only during practice, near his home that he could go this fast without risk of hurting someone, and it made his instincts sing. He wanted to be the best that he could. He wanted to protect everyone that he could, he needed to be faster, he needed to be better.

Swinging his sword, he felt a shiver run up his spine. They were in danger.

Grabbing his gear, he ran back home and saw a familiar figure in the road. "Adam!" He shouted, running into the road and standing between the village and Adam. "Leave my village alone. You'll have to get through me to get to my village."

"Pathetic!" Adam shouted. "What gives you, a pesky human, the right to approach me, let alone challenge me?"

"Walk away Adam. Before you get hurt."

"I'm going to kill you, and then I'm going to slaughter your village."

"If you aren't going to listen to reason, then maybe you'll listen to fear." Jaune used the Semblance that Pyrrha had given him and called his shield to him, putting it on his arm, he drew 'Redeemer's Blade', and beckoned Adam forward.

Adam roared, and charged Jaune who seemed to loosen up, and go slack. This fueled Adam even more, and he swung at Jaune who deflected his strike with his shield, getting out of Adam's way at the same time.

Adam turned around and tried attacking Jaune again, but Jaune used his improved footwork and dodged Adam each time.

"STAY! STILL!" Adam shouted.

"No." Jaune said. "I'm not going to stay still, I'm not going to let you kill me, and I'm not going to let you destroy my village."

Adam sheathed his sword and glared at Jaune. "If you aren't going to move, then I will move you!" He shouted, unsheathing his sword, and sending an arc of energy at Jaune.

Jaune swung 'Redeemer's Blade' at Adam, sending an Arc of Aura out towards the opposing arc. Both arc's collided and Jaune's arc cut though Adam's for the sheer fact that Jaune had much more Aura, making his arc that much stronger.

Adam snarled and ran at Jaune, intent on killing him.

"You lose Adam." Jaune said, picking up speed with each hit, eventually pushing Adam back with the sheer speed of his swings, he didn't need to rely on ferocity when he was just too fast for Adam. Spinning, his blade, leaving false openings, and backing Adam away from his village made Adam all the angrier, fueling his rage, and cause him to headbutt Jaune, but Jaune activated his Aura creating an Aura harder than the hardest barrier, causing Adam to break his horn against Jaune's Aura.

Jaune swung 'Redeemer's Blade', through 'Wilt', and cutting his mask in half sending them flying, leaving Adam a broken, shattered wreck of a man.

Adam fell to his knees and shouted at the ground before looking up and Jaune. "Well! What are you waiting for! DO IT!" He shouted at Jaune.

"Do what?" Jaune asked.

"KILL ME! I threatened your family! I threatened your village! I would kill you if our roles were switched! Just do it!"

"But I'm not you." Jaune said. "I'm not Jason, I'm not Yang, I'm not Blake, I'm not Scott. I'm me, and I can see that you are in a great deal of pain, so, I'm going to heal you, and send you on your way."

"I don't need your human pity!" Adam bit out.

"Then don't look at it as pity. Look at it as me saying that you only live because I allow it."

Adam looked at Jaune in shock and awe. "Why?"

"Because. I've seen enough bloodshed. I don't want to see anymore." Jaune placed his hand on Adam and allowed his Aura to cover Adam, healing his body, including the brand, unfortunately he couldn't do anything about the eye, but the brand was Child splay. "Go on. Get out of here. Maybe a healer or someone can heal your eye of give you a prosthetic. Not everyone hates Faunus you know."

Adam just sat there as Jaune grabbed his gear and headed home. Adam had never felt like this. What should he do now?

"And that's what happened." Jaune said.

"You're a paladin now." Jason said. "You've earned that sword. Good for you."

Jaune blushed. "Thanks."

"What else happened?"

"Getting out of Argus was annoying." Pyrrha said. "People kept asking Jaune what gave him the audacity to put his hands on me, and asked me what I was thinking, letting someone like Jaune even think about touching me."

"So, what happened?" Jason asked.

"I kissed Jaune." Pyrrha said. "And I told the people that I'd been secretly seeing Jaune for years, and we were in love, and to leave us alone... politely of course."

"Of course." Jason said. "Sorry that you didn't have access to my Shadow Portal."

"It was fun, pushing ourselves without any cheat codes."

"Wait. Since when have you gone gamer girl?"

"Since Jaune asked me to be his player two." Pyrrha said, hugging Jaune's arm and laying her head on his shoulder.

Jason's jaw dropped. "Since when have you been so smooth?" Jason asked.

"Since I got laid and set aside all my dad's lessons about building confidence." Jaune said.

"I missed a lot, huh?"

"Nora and Ren have been moved to Vale and are under Coral and Loki's care, Loki remembers now, Pardus is with Coral and Loki, and they have adopted her, Dawn too, Ebon and Hele are safe, Hel has been found and is under Ozpin's care, Coral has reconnected with her family, and we can't find Scott, Geoff, Jose, and Gale, any idea where they are?"

"No, but I'm sure that they will turn up eventually."

"Yeah."

"What about everyone else?"

"Weiss is going to the Mines almost every day, Ruby and Oscar are helping her, your dad has been coming here every day with Weiss's help, Yang is training, Summer and Qrow are happy, as for the others, they are getting ready for Beacon."

"Okay. Does Velvet remember yet?"

"No."

"Okay."

"Oh, and Weiss killed all three of the Jokers."

"SHE WHAT!" Jason snapped, using his shadow to pull Weiss into the room. "WEISS! YOU HUNTED DOWN AND KILLED ALL THREE OF THE JOKERS! THAT'S DANGEROUS! WHY!"

Weiss looked at Jason and smiled before she started laughing and crying.

"Weiss?"

Weiss hugged Jason and kissed him. "Now you know how I feel every time you do something stupid and scare the shit out of me."

Jason looked at her and felt tears burn the corners of his eyes. "Did they hurt you?"

"No. They didn't even know that I'd killed them until after they were dead. I kind of traumatized your doctors."

"That is so hot."

"Thank you. The doctor said that you should be stronger, that you should heal faster, and that your Semblance will be much stronger."

"Semblance?"

"They were under the understanding that you have only one Semblance."

"Oh, okay."

"Also, like General Ironwood said, you'll have to do Physical Therapy, but the doctors said that it could take anywhere from two months to a year, General Ironwood wanted you to take recovery slow."

"I didn't know that he cared so much." Jason snarked.

"He does. I told him that it wouldn't work."

"No, no. I'll take a year of Physical Therapy."

"In your Shadow Realm?"

"In my Shadow Realm." Jason dropped himself into his shadow with Weiss and was gone for a long time. Jaune and Pyrrha sat down to wait, and wait, and wait. They waited for four hours before Jason and Weiss walked out of his shadow, both dressed in designer clothes as if nothing had changed since they had been in the future past."

"Wow." Pyrrha said. "You two look great."

"Thank you." Weiss said.

"Did you really go through physical therapy in there?" Jaune asked.

"Yes."

Four hours ago

Jason and Weiss appeared in his shadow realm and a figure walked out of the shadow. "About fucking time."

"Who are you?" Weiss asked.

"My name is Jason Haywood. I come from a universe where everyone has superpowers, but not everyone is allowed to be a hero."

"And what does that have to do with us?"

"I came here to help you fight Montgomery. I said that we needed to talk."

"Oh shit!" Jason said. "Have you been stuck here since we fought Montgomery?"

"No. The Omni-Montgomery pulled me out when he saw that you went into a coma and allowed me to come back when you woke up."

"Oh. Who's the Omni-Montgomery?"

"Welcome to the Multiverse. You are what's called an Anchor. An Anchor is what holds a place together, this place. Remnant. You are holding Remnant together."

"How?"

"Just by being you. The Omni-Montgomery has made it his mission to save the multiverse, and to do that, he brought you here."

"What if I don't want that?"

"You don't have to. The Omni-Montgomery can make it so this conversation never happened."

"I won't remember this?"

"No, you'll forget about us having this conversation."

"Good. Do it."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

"Okay, once I leave, you won't remember this conversation ever taking place."

"Good, now leave."

"Until we meet again." Jason Haywood said as he left.

Jason Haywood left, and Jason and Weiss forgot about him.

"What were we doing?" Jason asked Weiss.

"Physical Therapy."

"Right. Physical Therapy."

Jason slowly but surely made progress. He felt the instant his body was overcome with pins and needles, and he had to deal with that until he regained movement in his body.

"Ow." Weiss complained. "That hurts."

"Really? I hadn't noticed. I thought that this was just a relaxing massage. Where would I be without you?"

"Alone probably."

"I'm not sure what hurts worse, the pins and needles sensation or the thought of not having you in my life."

"Let's not dwell on that." Weiss said.

Jason eventually got to where he could stand, then to where he could walk with Weiss's help, then to where he could walk without her help, then to where he could walk fast, then jog, then run, until he was at peak, or beyond peak condition. Looking at the wall, he saw that it was time and the calendar to see that in the real world it had been four hours, but in his Shadow Realm it had been a year. "What do you say that we get out of here?" He asked Weiss.

"Let's go." Weiss said.

They showered, Jason

Walking out they saw Jaune and Pyrrha waiting for them.

"And that's what happened." Jason said.

"Wow." Jaune said. "Has anyone ever told you that you are way too OP?"

"Constantly."

"It's almost not fair."

"I know, but thanks to Weiss, Frost, and I being overpowered, Montgomery and Salem are dead."

"True."

As if on cue, Frost appeared out of Jason's shadow and hugged him. "Daddy!" She cheered.

"Hey baby girl." Jason hugged her back.

"Are you all better?"

"Yes I am. I'm all better."

"YAY!"

"Now, what should we do today baby girl?"

"Let's go to the mines! Mommy has been taking me and father to the Mines."

Jason looked at Weiss.

"Jaune has healed all the miners, and Pietro has been helping with Prosthesis." Weiss explained.

"Oh. All right, let's go baby girl."

"Yay!" Frost teleported them all to the Mines with her Semblance."

Two years ago.

In the depths of Salems castle, a chamber sat, undisturbed until now. All around the chamber eighteen tanks stood in silent vigilance, fourteen around the perimeter with four in the center. The battle above caused the ceiling to collapse, crushing seven on the fourteen tanks around the perimeter and leaving all four of the tanks in the middle alone, but covered by debris.

Two years Later.

The surviving tanks, not being maintained in two years, cracked, Grim Tar leaking out, exposing the Grimm inside. Seven Hounds broke free of their tanks.

The four tanks in the Center shattered showing four much more terrifying Grimm. These Grimm looked like the people they had been before, but they were anything but. These Grimm were the ultimate predator. Salem was going to save them until she had to unleash them. They had a tendency to, as their name stated, cause Carnage. As if to showcase this, the four Carnage looked at each other, and in a movement too fast to track, they attacked each other, and after seconds, only one remained standing, absorbing the other Carnage into themselves, making themself stronger. Looking at the Hounds, they cleared the debris and left their prison, they had one job, and one job only. Find the ones responsible for slaying their Queen.

Jason, Weiss, Frost, Pietro, Jaune, and Pyrrha appeared in the Mines, and they looked around.

"Is this the same Mine?" Jason asked, looking around.

"Yes." Weiss said. "We just put a lot of work into it to make it safer for everyone."

"Wow."

"Let's go talk to Johnathan and Shim."

"Okay."

They walked through the Mine until they found Johnathan and Shim.

"Johnathan." Weiss said. "Shim."

"Miss Schnee." Johnathan said with a bow. "Mr. Todd."

Jason shook Johnathan's hand.

"Weiss." Shim nodded. "Jason."

"Shim." Jason said.

"You feeling better?"

"I am. Way better."

"That's good."

"Young Jason." Johnathan said. "Have you put anymore thought into being a gentleman of society?"

Jason hugged Weiss around the waist and placed his chin on her shoulder. "I think so. Weiss and Frost are the two most important people in my life, and their safety takes priority above all else. They are my everything. my sun, my moon, my stars, my life."

Weiss felt her face flush, and held Jason's hands around her middle, and turned to kiss his cheek.

Jason kissed her neck and Weiss pushed him away. "Not yet." She gasped. "Not yet. Just a few more months."

Jason looked down at the floor. "Sorry." He spoke.

"It's not your fault; you just need to wait a while longer."

"Worst No Nut November ever." Jaune snarked. "And it's not even November."

"Shut up." Jason said.

"Okay, but only because you can throw me at Atlas at Terminal Velocity."

"You'd survive."

"Until gravity took over and suplexed me into the ground."

"Fair point."

Johnathan looked at Jason. "You are so close to understanding, so close."

"What am I missing?"

"Are you able to turn a crowd of enemies with only your words, not cruel or sadistic words, but calm and collected words."

Jason thought about that. "No."

"Work on that, and you will. Your resolve is not an issue, but if you can turn enemies with your words, heart, and conviction you will have become a true gentleman of society."

"Okay, I'll try."

"And I am confident that you will succeed." Johnathan said.

Jason looked at Johnathan and nodded.

Weiss grabbed Jason's hand and took him on a tour of the Mines, and Jason was impressed to say the least. "Wow. You did so much while I was in a coma."

"Yes, we did. we even went back and drained the other sections of the Mine and filled it with dirt and sand from the new sections. It turns out that the mountain was unstable, but not anymore, or at least not as much."

"That's amazing."

"Yes, it is."

They walked through the Mine until they had seen everything.

"Is this really the same mine?" Jason asked.

"Yes. But with all the help we've gotten, it's been made even safer."

"That's great."

"Yes, yes, it is."

"And all of the Miners are looking better than ever."

"Thanks to Jaune, Joske, and Pietro." Weiss explained.

"That's great."

"Yeah, it is. Now that you've seen the Mines, why not go spar with Whitley to see how strong he's gotten."

"How strong should I come out swinging?"

"Definitely not. I don't want him to die, let him throw the first punch."

"Okay, bring it."

Whitley ran at Jason with his arm pulled back, and punched Jason so hard that the air distorted, creating a spark that caused the molecules in the air to ignite until it created a vacuum and exploded, sending Jason into a pillar. "So?" Whitley asked. "How do I compare to before your coma?"

Jason walked out of the pillar and brushed some dust away. "How much strength was that? Was that all your strength into one punch?"

"No."

"Then come at me with everything you've got. I don't want some arbitrary number; I want your all. I want everything, and to give you some extra motivation, Neo hits harder than you when she's still asleep."

Whitley jumped at Jason and put everything into this punch, creating a distortion in the air that created a sonic boom cracking the air, igniting the molecules in the air and creating a vacuum force that pulled all the oxygen from around Jason, pulling him to his knees because he couldn't breathe. Whitley hit Jason with enough force that it shattered his ribcage and broke his spine and left Whitely with a fractured arm, dislocated elbow, and dislocated shoulder.

Jason pulled himself out of the wall and looked at Whitley. "Much better, can you keep that strength consistently?"

"Yes?"

"Good." Jason jumped at Whitley to a point where Whitley could barely counter him. It pushed him to and past his limits faster than any fight he had ever fought. He had to adapt in order to keep up with Jason.

Jason kept power creeping until Whitley couldn't keep up with him before kicking him into the wall. "I'll be back tomorrow, pull yourself together before then."

Whitley pulled himself out of the wall, hunched over and huddled into himself. His body ached and hurt. Did Jason honestly think that he'd be able to fight like that again tomorrow?

His Aura activated and healed the physical damage but couldn't heal the aches and pains. He struggled up to the bathroom and made a hot bath to try soothing his aches away.

Sliding into the nearly scalding water, his Aura activating, he felt his aches ease, and he stayed in the tub until the water turned cold before draining the water and taking a shower.

After his shower he grabbed some water and some painkillers to ease his pain. "Brother's above." He sighed. How was he going to deal with Jason tomorrow?

The next day Jason and Whitley met at Atlas Academy in order to train. "You ready?" Jason asked.

"No."

"GO!" Jason snapped running at Whitley.

Whitley threw a punch at Jason and shattered Jason's eardrum.

"FUCK!" Weiss shrieked, holding her ear.

Jason spun with the hit and punched Whitley into the ground.

Whitley spun around and kicked Jason's legs out from under him only for Jason to flip and kick Whitley into the air. Whitley spun and landed on the ground and rushed Jason headbutting him, breaking his nose before grabbing his throat and slamming him into the ground only for Jason to spin, knocking him away kicking him into the wall.

Whitley caught a pillar and spun back at Jason, kicking him in the stomach, sending him into a pillar. Jason slammed his fist into the ground and stopped his momentum, destroying the floor.

Whitley looked at Jason with a black eye starting to form.

Jason pulled his nose back into place and blew air through his nostrils sending semi coagulated blood through his nostrils.

"Gross." Weiss said.

"I'm going to pick up the pace now." Jason said.

Whitley gulped.

Jason ran at Whitley and threw a Volley of Punches that forced Whitley to defend himself, pushing himself past his limits. Whitley looked over and saw Jason comforting Weiss and felt rage engulf him, Jason wasn't even trying, and it pissed him off. He began pushing against Jason until Jason was on the defensive. He pushed Jason into a pillar and destroyed the Pillar along with Jason's Shadow Clone.

Jason appeared out of Whitley's shadow and Round House Kicked him into another Pillar. Whitley jumped up and clotheslined Jason, throwing him into a wall, and the beatdown continued until the training room was destroyed.

"THAT'S ENOUGH!" Winter Schnee bellowed at the top of her lungs. "HOW DARE YOU! HOW DARE YOU DO THIS! WE GRATIOUSLY OFFER YOU THE USE OF THIS ROOM AND YOU DESTROY IT!"

"I needed to push Whitley past his limits, and I did, you should say thank you." Jason said.

Winter Froze Jason in ice and glared at Weiss. "Sister. Please try and keep your fiancé in line."

"This is Jason we are talking about." Weiss said. "I can't control him anymore than his dad can."

"Hurtful." Jason said, leaning against the Ice Prison Winter had trapped him in. "You are way more attractive than my dad, you just have to give me puppy dog eyes or flash me and I'd stop in my tracks for you. I would give you my last Ten Lien or my firstborn child."

Winter glared at Jason. "My sister isn't a side of beef for you to ogle for your amusement."

"No? Isn't that why Jacques asked me to take her?"

"WHY! YOU! HOW DARE YOU!" Winter rushed Jason and tried to stab him, only for Weiss to step in front of her.

"SISTER!" Weiss snapped. "Jason is baiting you. He genuinely cares about me and only treats me poorly in front of father. When it's just us he is kind and gentle and tends to hate himself for anything that he's done to "hurt" me."

Winter looked at Jason. "Is that true?"

"Yes." Jason hugged Weiss from behind and nuzzled her neck. "I love Weiss more than my own life. If she would let me, Jacques would be dead."

Winter looked at Jason with shock. "You'd what?"

"I would kill Jacques Gele if Weiss would let me."

"No." Weiss said. "And before you start whining, you know why."

"But why?" Jason whined, hugging Weiss's waist.

"I already told you that you could torture him, don't push it."

"SISTER!" Winter snapped. "Why did you allow this ruffian to torture father?"

"Just because Jacques shot his disgusting sperm into our mother's womb doesn't make him our father!" Weiss snipped.

"SISTER!"

"What?"

"When did you get this... crass?"

"Jason is a bad influence."

"Ugh!" Jason said, insulted. "There's no need to be insulting." He held his hand to his forehead like someone who'd had their delicate sensibilities insulted.

"Drama Queen."

"Tranquil King."

"What is going on?" Winter asked.

"They're flirting." Whitley said.

"This is flirting?"

"Yes."

"I am not a bad influence; I am a great influence." Jason said.

"Sure you are." Weiss said.

"I am!"

"Yeah, yeah."

Jason hugged Weiss's waist while she dragged him out of the training room. "I am though!"

"I know." Weiss ran her hands through his hair. "I know."

"I knew that you loved me." Jason stood up and kissed Weiss with so much passion that it stole her breath and made Winter and Whitley uncomfortable.

"Wow." Weiss slurred. "What were we talking about?"

"How much you love me."

"I do, I really do. Wow. You are a great kisser."

"Thank you."

"You're welcome."

"Get a room." Jaune said, him and Pyrrha walking up to them.

"We will, eventually." Weiss said.

Jason hugged Weiss and she melted into his embrace.

Winter looked at them and couldn't help but feel... what was this that she was feeling? Was she jealous? Was she jealous of her younger sister?

"Jealousy is unbecoming." Jason said from beside her.

"WHAT!" Winter jumped when she heard him speak. Looking back at Weiss she saw Jason still holding Weiss. "Shadow Clone?" She asked.

"Yes, you are talking to a Shadow Clone."

"I suppose that I am jealous of my sister, a little."

"I'm sure that you'll find someone eventually. you might just have to look in Mantle or the Mines, or even in another Kingdom."

"I see."

"Weiss had to go all the way to Vale to find me."

"I see."

"You can't have him sister." Weiss said over her and Jason's shoulders to Winter. "He's mine."

"I don't want any of... that." She waved her hand at Jason and Weiss. "You two are cavity inducing."

"That's so sweet." Jason smiled.

Winter stalked away, leaving them in the training room.

Jason picked Weiss up and carried her out of the room, bridal style, with Weiss leaning her head against his chest and placing her hand on his chest.

Whitley looked at them, and leaned against the wall, sighing in relief that it was over.

A Shadow Clone appeared out of his shadow. "I think that your training is almost complete."

"Really?" Whitley asked.

"Yes. You only need to do one more thing."

"What's that?"

"Take the rest of the week to rest up. Next week, I'll fight you, and if you can beat me, your training will be complete."

"Really?"

"Yes. You are holding yourself back because you can't get over this fear you have of me, but if you can let that go, you will find that you are stronger than you seem."

"Really?"

"Yes."

"Okay, I'll rest the rest of the week and kick your ass next week."

"Good, and to make sure that you have every advantage, I have something for you."

"What is it?"

Jason held his hand out to Whitley who took it, and was shocked when he felt Jason transfer a Semblance over to him, and he was filled with the instinctual knowledge of how to use the Semblance. "Whoa." He spoke.

"You'll need every advantage, and in the event that you can't beat me, I'll take it back."

Whitley looked at Jason. "I understand."

"Good. Now, I have business with General Ironwood."

"Bye."

"Bye." Jason said as he disappeared.

Whitely went to his room; he had to plan his assault on Jason.

Winter was walking through the Academy to give General Ironwood her report, she was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't notice when she bumped into someone, knocking them back.

The smaller person raised their arms up and tried to be menacing but looked anything but. "Back off." The androgenous individual said, while shaking.

Winter looked at them.

"Oh, Ace Operative Schnee." The individual said, lowering their arms. "I'm sorry."

"It's all right... Pan, correct?"

"Yes." Pan blushed. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to menace you."

"You didn't." Winter said. "For one, you were shaking like a leaf."

"I know. I just don't like conflict and don't have a menacing bone in my body."

"How did you get hired?"

"Pity mostly." Pan said. "I'm a Faunus living in Atlas. I'm lucky that my uncle has connections here."

"Your uncle is Captain Nap, correct?"

"Yes. He took me in after my parents died, and got me my job here, I'm just a gopher, and I do enjoy the work, but I'm just too timid."

"I see. You should probably consider a different line of work if you can't do your job without jumping at your own shadow... either that or find someone who will work while you keep the home for them."

"Probably, but not many people would be interested in me, either because I'm a Faunus or because I'm just too timid."

"Well, maybe you should try to gain some confidence."

"It's not as easy as you make it sound."

"Very well, carry on." Winter strode past Pan.

"Ace Operative Schnee!" Pan called after her.

"What?" Winter asked, looking over her shoulder.

"Please let me know if this is out of line, but... would you... would you go out with me!"

Winter was taken aback by Pan's abruptness, but she was also intrigued by their courage, whether it was bravery or foolishness she didn't know, but she was at the very least intrigued. "Normally I would turn you down, but you intrigue me, I'm not sure if you are being brave or stupid, so I will give you one date. Impress me." With that, Winter walked away.

Pan watched after Winter and let out the breath they didn't realize they were holding. "Did I seriously just do that?" They asked, holding their hands to their face.

Winter walked into the Command Center and stood by General Ironwood.

"Schnee." Ironwood said.

"General." Winter said.

"Are you okay?" Ironwood asked. "Your face is flushed."

"It is?"

"Yes."

Winter schooled her emotions. "Yes, everything is fine."

"I know why she's blushing." Jason said, appearing from Winter's shadow.

Winter froze Jason in place.

"It seems that not even you are safe from Jason's antics." Ironwood said.

"It would seem not."

"I play with Weiss." Jason said from beside Ironwood. "If I play with my food, what makes you think that her sister is safe?"

"What did you call Wess!" Winter demanded.

"My food, considering that I'll be eating her out in a little under four months."

"How revolting."

"Just because you've never had anyone go down on you doesn't make it revolting." Jason said.

"Not that, that you would so casually talk about your, currently, nonexistent sex life in front of people."

"It won't be nonexistent in under four months."

"Does Weiss know that you are talking about her like this?"

"Yes."

"And how does she feel about it?"

"She is incredibly horny right now. She's currently taking care of herself."

"How do you know that?!"

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you."

"Try me."

"My and Weiss's soul is connected on a soul level." Jason said with a straight face.

Winter looked at him. "You're not lying."

"Nope."

"How?"

"We gave each other a piece of our soul and we know each other better than any one of our family members knows us."

"I don't believe it."

"Want me to prove it?"

"Yes."

"I know what Weiss's period feels like." Jason said. "I know how she feels while her uterine walls tear down because she isn't pregnant. I know how her cramps feel. I know what it feels like when she bleeds through. I know how embarrassed she feels. I know how shitty she feels. The first time I experienced it I had no idea what was happening, and I freaked out."

Winter looked at Jason. He wasn't lying.

"Likewise, sister." Weiss said, appearing from Jason's shadow. "I know what it feels like to be malnourished even though I've had everything I could have ever wanted. I know what it feels like to feel my body canalize itself because I haven't had proper sustenance. I know what it feels like to go without food for days at a time. I know what it feels like to have lived on the streets even though I have lived in the lap of luxury for all my life."

"Sister." Winter said.

"Yes sister. I know this is hard to accept, but yes, and even though Jason doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut, I am excited for our first time together. I crave it. I can't think of anything else. Every day is sheer agony."

"Sister."

"Forgive me sister. I let it get to my head. Please, excuse me." Weiss left through her shadow.

Winter and Ironwood looked at Jason. "Yes, she's going to release the tension. I can feel it too. I want nothing more than to give us both release right now, but I won't, not for nearly four months."

"That is incredible willpower." Ironwood said.

"Yes, very much so."

Winter looked at Jason and for the first time, she realized that while he was crude and crass, he was also very caring and respectful. He only did what he did because Weiss consented to it. What was this feeling?

"Probably guilt." Jason said from beside her. "You feel bad because you thought me a sick and twisted pervert who is only using Weiss, when the truth is that I came for her more than anyone could ever know, and you feel guilty."

"What!? How!?"

"Your face. You're more or less an open book to me."

"Jason?" Ironwood asked.

"Yes General?" Jason asked, pulling a single cat hair from Ironwood's Lapel. "How's Fluffy doing by the way?"

"He's doing well, thanks, but I want to know what you are doing here."

"Oh, come on General. I'm here because I haven't seen you in two years and I missed you."

"Doubtful, but okay."

"I did."

"I didn't miss you." Ironwood said.

"Not even a little?" Jason held his fingers apart about a quarter inch.

"Nope."

"UGH!" Jason held his chest as though he'd been wounded. "General. I'm hurt."

"While you were in a coma, we got a lot of important work done, including that console."

"Ooh, buttons." Jason said. "What do they do?"

"Please don't push them."

"Ya know. I know that you're baiting me, but I don't care. There's buttons." Jason said, going over to the panel and began pushing buttons.

"General!" Winter snapped.

"Don't worry Schnee." Ironwood said. "I had that console designed specifically for Jason."

"How so?" Jason asked, pressing a button that caused a bear trap to snap his leg. "Ow." He spoke.

"OW!" Weiss snapped across the bond.

Jason ripped his leg off and it grew back.

"OW!" Weiss snapped again.

"So, this console is an anti-me console?"

"Yes." Ironwood said. "We used the time that you were in your coma wisely."

"Hurtful."

"Truthful."

Jason pressed another button, and the console poured a cup of coffee. Taking it, he took a sip. "UGH! Is this decaf?"

"Yes."

"You villain!"

"You're the one who can destroy the world on a whim."

"Maybe, but I'm not going to."

"I can't afford to take that risk. You are the most dangerous person on this planet. There is literally nothing we could do to stop you if you thought that we needed to stop living, hence the console, buttons, traps, decaf, and cat videos."

"Cat videos?" Jason asked.

"Yes."

"Show me."

"I'll leave that to you to figure out. Press all the buttons you want."

Jason went back to pressing buttons.

Ironwood looked out at Atlas and smiled.

Weiss was in her room when she got a text.

Tai: Hey Weiss, is it all right if I come over and see Jason?

Weiss: Sure, come over.

Weiss reached through her shadow with a shadow arm and pulled him through her shadow, Tai appearing out of Weiss's shadow and Weiss led him into her shadow and out of Jason's shadows in the command center where Jason was pressing buttons on a console.

"Jason?" Tai asked.

"Sup dad." Jason said.

Tai looked at Jason and felt a lump in his throat. "Jason?" He asked.

"Yeah?"

Tai hugged Jason in a gripping bear hug. "JASON!" He sobbed.

"Dad." Jason said. "You're crushing me."

"JASON!" Tai sobbed. "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! Brother's above, I was a fool! I'm sorry!"

"It's fine dad. I'm fine. I know that I'm a little shit, but I really do care about you, about everyone. I love them. I love you."

"I love you too kid." Tai sobbed.

"I have one question." Jason said.

"What is it?"

"How long am I grounded for?" Jason asked.

Tai wiped his eyes. "Brothers above kid. I'll just say that being in a coma for two years is punishment enough. I'm sorry kid. I thought that I knew everything that I needed to, but Weiss bit my head off and made me think about things that I hadn't thought about before. I thought about them and realized just how much of a fool I'd been. I'm sorry."

"It's not your fault. I don't make it easy being a dad. I'm a pain in the ass, just ask Ironwood."

Tai looked at Ironwood.

"We installed that console to keep Jason distracted so we can do our job." Ironwood explained.

"Jason, why are you distracting the General?"

"Because. It literally benefits everyone that I annoy Ironwood."

"It does." Weiss said. "It really does."

"Okay?" Tai asked.

"I've gotten used to it by now." Ironwood admitted. "Hence the console."

"Okay."

Jason looked at Tai. "Dad, you have to believe that I am not doing this to be cruel or anything. I really do have the best of intentions."

"I believe you kid."

"Thanks dad."

"You're welcome."

Jason hugged Weiss from behind and nuzzled into her cheek.

"Jason." Tai said. "Is Weiss okay with you hanging off her like that?"

"Yes." Weiss answered for him. "If we were both sixteen, we wouldn't be here."

Tai looked at her confused until he saw Jason smirking, the others blushing, and General Ironwood and Winter not showing that they noticed. "Wait, what?"

"We'd be doing the horizontal tango." Jason explained.

Tai looked at Jason, shocked.

"Like father like son." Jason smirked.

"Just make sure that you use protection."

"We will, don't worry."

"Thanks."

"You're welcome."

"I better get home." Tai said.

"Here." Jason said, returning Tai's Shadow Portal and locker to him. "I'm sorry for taking it from you, it was immature."

"You were scared. It's understandable. Are you going to come back home soon?"

"Yeah. I just have to finish up some stuff here."

"Okay. See you soon kid."

"You too." Jason hugged Tai.

Tai hugged Jason back and disappeared into his shadow, heading home.

Jason looked back at the others. "Now, it's time to take care of some unfinished business."

Jacques was in his office when his Scroll rang, answering it he nearly choked. "Hello."

"Hello Daddy Dearest." Jason Todd said over the line. "This is Jason Todd, you know, the man who is going to marry your daughter. I just woke up from a coma and heard some news about the Mine and wanted to discuss it? How about we do so over tea? I'll be there momentarily, bye."

Jacques nearly had a heart attack as Jason Todd appeared out of his shadow. "YOU!" Jacques shouted.

"Itsa me!" Jason said, hugging Jacques in a bear hug that could have broken Jacques back if he wanted to. "Now, let's discuss the Mine.

"What?" Jacques asked.

"The Mine. I just got back from looking at it, and I must say that you have really let the Mine go since I went into the Coma. I mean, seriously. I'll have to call the Miners Guild and tell them that you are mistreating your miners. I mean Really. At least turn your Mine into a Penal Colony. Seriously. You could at least do that."

"What?" Jacques asked.

"The Miners Guild. I'll have to call them up. Your Mine is trash, garbage, it looks like no one has been there to reinforce it for a while. Think of your Miners Jacques! Think of them!"

"Why should I?"

"Because they are people too Jacques! They are people too!"

"They aren't people, they are Faunus and Slaves. They have no rights but to work the Mines."

"Well, I never!" Jason snapped. "Miners are people too Jacques!"

"No, they aren't!"

"Does that mean that you don't pay them an equal wage too?"

"Why would I pay them an equal wage! They should be happy with the scraps they get!"

"What scraps?"

"As Miners they should be paid twenty-six dollars, but they are lucky if they get six. They have homes and clothes and that should be more than enough! They won't take my hard-earned money from me, and neither will you!"

"So that means that you don't keep up with the Mines Maintenance?"

"Why should I! They are just slaves and Faunus! I can replenish them easily enough if I run out of them."

"Did you hear that General?" Jason asked.

"Clear as crystal Mr. Todd." General Ironwood's voice said over Jason's Scroll.

"WHAT!" Jacques shouted.

"Sucks to suck Jacques." Jason said, dropping into his shadow.

Jacques called his lawyers. "I need you."

"On our way Mr. Schnee."

The door to Jacque's office opened and Winter walked in. "Jacques Gele, you are under arrest for corporate corruption, abuse of power, wage theft, workplace bullying, exploitation, and employee discrimination. You have the right to an attorney, if you can't afford one then one will be issued to you. Anything you say or do can and will be used against you. If you understand these rights, please acknowledge that you understand them."

"You can't arrest me!" Jacques shouted. "I am Jacques Schnee! Without me! Atlas would go bankrupt within a year!"

"Not so Jacques." Weiss said, walking into the office. "Over the last five years you have taught me how to run the company, I am confident that I can run this company just as well if not better than you."

Jacques looked at Weiss and saw red. "You! You used me!"

"The same way you used me, Jacques."

"Mr. Schnee." A man in a suit said. "Don't say anything else. We will take it from here."

"I am Jacques Schnee!" Jacques shouted. "You can't arrest me! I'm the richest man in the world!"

"Not anymore Jacques." Jason said, popping out of Weiss's shadow. "I am since you've been wasting your money on trying to kill me."

"WHAT!" Jacques shouted.

"This way Mr. Schnee!" His lawyers said, leading him out of the room with Winter following to take him to Atlas Academy.

Once Jacque was gone, Jason grabbed Weiss and a hug and spun around the room. "We did it!" He hugged her. "We did it! Jacques is out of the picture, and we can fix Atlas!"

"Not yet." Weiss said, trying to keep the smile off her face. "Not yet. He has to be convicted, tried, and sentenced first."

"How could they not sentence him? I was an equal part of the conversation; there's proof that he's been hurting Atlas; there's proof that he's been paying assassins to kill me. They have to sentence him."

A few hours later.

Jason and Weiss sat in the court room waiting to see if bail would be posted.

"Your honor." The prosecutor said. "If Jacques Schnee, nee Gele, were to make bail, he could flee the Kingdom. His assets not only make him a fight risk, but there is no amount of Lien that makes bail high enough to risk letting him go."

The judge looked at the defense. "What say you counselor?"

"Jacques Schnee should be allowed to make bail, but he should have to wear a tracking anklet and stay under house arrest under the stipulation that he cannot run or have anything to do with the Schnee Dust Company. He could have no access to his accounts and would have to have someone put in charge of his finances until after the trial."

"Who would look after Mr. Schnee's accounts?"

"We'd like to hand control of the company to the board until Weiss Schnee reaches the age of eighteen and can lead the company.

"With all due respect your honor..." The prosecutor said. "...for all we know Weiss Schnee is just as guilty as Jacques Schnee. The entire family could be guilty."

Weiss had to grab Jason's hand and not let him do anything to the prosecutor. "He's just doing his job." She said across their bond. "Unless he's corrupt, leave him alone."

"Fine." Jason sighed across their bond.

"Your honor." The defense said. "The Schnee Dust Company isn't a little company. It is one of two of the biggest Dust producers in the entire world. Letting just anyone run it would take weeks if not months or years to learn."

"If it pleases the court." A second defense attorney said. "We have, in writing, an agreement that upon the marriage of Weiss Abigale Schnee and Jason Peter Todd that the SDC and Todd Import/Export will be merged into one company. Our options are to let the Board of Directors to run the company until Weiss Schnee turns eighteen or Jason Todd and Weiss Schnee get married, or we let Weiss Schnee or Jason Todd run the company until the trial."

"I see." The Judge said. "Bail will be posted at five million Lien, Jacques Schnee will be fitted with a court mandated tracking anklet, and his company will be run by the Board of Directors until the trial, three years from now." The Judge tapped his gavel on the bench.

The prosecution and defense looked at each other, Jacques looked pleased, and Jason tried slipping into his shadow to deal with things.

Weiss grabbed his hand. "Don't." she said across their bond. "Let Jacques have his fun so we can pull the rug out from under his feet when he thinks he's going to win."

"Fine." Jason sighed across their bond.

"Thank you."

Jacques turned to look at Jason and Weiss and smiled a smug grin.

Jason flashed a predatory grin that promised pain and suffering that wiped the smugness from Jacques' face.

Jason got up and looked at Jacques. "Daddy dearest." He spoke. "I didn't know that tracking anklets were so fashionable, but if anyone can make it work, it would be you."

Weiss elbowed Jason in the ribs. "Let's go." She spoke.

"Of course, wife." Jason said, kissing the top of Weiss's head, wrapped an arm around her shoulders and they walked out of the courtroom, much to Jacques's shock and confusion.

Jason took Weiss home and walked her to Willow's room before he left so they could discuss the trial before he disappeared into his shadow and out of Tai's Shadow.

"I'm home." He spoke.

Weiss looked at Willow. "Have you heard the news?" She asked.

"Yes. Jacques has made bail. He can't run the SDC until after the trial."

"Yes. It's a win, one of many I hope."

"Let's hope so." Willow said.

"Jason won't allow Jacques to win, even if he wins, he won't win."

"True, Jason won't let Jacques win, no matter how much Jacques wants to."

"No, he won't." Weiss said, sending love across their bond.

Jason looked at Tai. "I'm home." He spoke.

"Jason." Tai said, hugging his son.

"Dad?" Yang asked. "Who are you... Jason!" She shouted, running for her dad and brother, hugging them.

"So?" Jason asked. "What's for dinner?"

"What sounds good to you?" Tai laughed.

"Let's cook together." Jason said.

"Sounds good. What are we cooking?"

"What kind of meats do we have?"

The family cut up different meats, cheeses, and vegetables before grilling the meats and vegetables, bringing out some crackers and ate meat, cheese, vegetables, and crackers.

They made small talk and talked throughout dinner.

"So..." Yang said before swallowing her food. "What's your physical therapy schedule looking like?"

"I finished with physical therapy." Jason explained.

"What? when?"

"This morning."

"Didn't you wake up this morning?"

"Yes. My Shadow Realm gives me the ability to do things that would take months if not years to do."

"Really?"

Jason dropped Yang into her shadow and back out onto her chair.

"WHAT!" Yang shouted. "What happened? I was... I was falling for thirty minutes!"

"I know."

"But... she was only gone for a second." Tai said.

"I know." Jason said.

"A second!" Yang shouted."

"Yes. I haven't shown you my Semblance's true power. My Semblance is very strong."

"I'll say."

"If one second was thirty minutes, how long would I have to stay in there to spend six months to one year?"

"What?"

"That's how long it took to get through physical therapy." Jason explained.

"So how long were you in your Shadow Realm?" Tai asked.

"Four hours."

"Four hours!" Yang shouted.

"Yeah." Jason said.

"If one second is thirty minutes, how long is four hours?"

"Ten months." Jason explained.

"Ten months!"

"Yeah. Why?"

"You can just casually spend a year in your Shadow Realm and be fine?"

"Yeah. Why?"

"Wouldn't you get bored?"

"No. It's not like there's nothing to do in there."

"So, how old are you if you spend so much time in there?" Tai asked.

"I don't know. Like thirty-seven?"

"THIRTY-SEVEN!" Tai and Yang shouted.

"It's not like I keep track of how long I stay in my Shadow Realm, but if I had to guess, yeah."

"Jason..." Tai said. "You are growing up too fast. You need to take time to be a child before growing up. You've already had to grow up so much and I'm sorry, but please, take time to be a child."

Jason looked down at his lap before looking back up at Tai. "Okay, dad. I'll try."

"Thank you. I don't know what I would do if I woke up one day and you were suddenly older than me."

"How old are you?" Jason asked.

"Knock, knock." Summer said, opening the door. "Anyone home?"

"We'll talk about that later." Tai said. "In here." He called.

Summer, Qrow, and Ruby walked in.

"JASON!" Ruby shouted, glomping Jason.

Jason grabbed Ruby and hugged her. "Hey Ruby." He said, holding her up under her arms.

"You're awake!" Ruby shouted.

"Yes, I am."

"How did physical therapy go?"

"Four hours."

"Nice."

"How are you doing?"

"I'm doing okay. I'm getting better with my scythe."

"Nice. Working hard or hardly working?"

"Yep?"

"Work hard, play harder?"

"Yep."

"Nice."

"Hi Jason." Summer said. "How are you doing?"

"Better now that I'm awake."

"That's good."

"Yeah."

"We brought cookies."

"Ah, hell yeah!" Jason shouted.

"Language." Summer said.

"Oh shit. Sorry Auntie Summer."

Summer looked at Jason. "Seriously?" She asked.

"Shit, fuck, shit. I'm going to stop talking now."

"That might be for the best." Summer said.

Jason nodded.

They watched movies, ate cookies, and enjoyed each other's company until it was time for Ruby to go to sleep, and Summer and Qrow ushered her back home so she could sleep.

Yang and Tai headed up to their rooms, but Jason had something he needed to take care of in Atlas.

Dropping into his shadow, he appeared in the brothel in Mantel and let what he heard harden his resolve, dropping the entire brothel into his shadow realm.

The next morning the people of Mantel found a pile of dead bodies where the brothel had once stood. The owner of the brothel was exsanguinated with a message written in his own blood.

Faunus are people, not objects.

In Kingdom's across Remnant, Faunus and humans alike were found in hospitals being treated.

Across Remnant, places that tortured, used, and abused the people of Remnant alike were destroyed and the victims were put into places of healing while the abusers were left for dead with some exceptions. People who Jason could not find guilty were left alive to tell the tale of how the shadows came alive and shallowed places whole, spitting out corpses and disappearing.

The world of Remnant was becoming a place of fear, a place where the shadows became the stuff of nightmares. Parents would tell their children stories of how if they didn't behave then the shadows would take them from them.

Was Jason really making Remnant a better place, or was he replacing Montgomery and Salem with something far more terrifying?
