It was finally winter break and we were heading home to visit mum and dad. I had woken up early to finish getting packed. I grabbed my clothes which were carefully folded on my bed and placed them in my trunk. I grabbed a sweater and jeans and left to change. After i changed i fixed my hair and brushed my teeth. When i came back to the room Hermione was awake as well and had finished packing. "Good Morning Sam are you ready to head down to the train?" she asked as she stood up. "Yeah, we should hurry, we don't want to miss it" I said. We both then hurried down the stairs and out of the common room. After a few minutes we arrived at the train where our trunks were waiting. We grabbed our trunks and shut them in a compartment in the back where we were sitting. " I cant believe its already winter time went so fast!" I exclaimed while looking out of the window. "Yeah but i'm happy we can finally visit mum and dad though" Hermione said happily as she opened up a new book.
"Yeah you're right I can't wait to finally be home after all the chaos that's happened so far" I laughed. "So… what have you gotten Ron and Harry for Christmas?" Hermione asked placing her book down. "I got them a few chocolate frogs and bertie botts of every flavor of beans, how about you?" I asked. " I got similar things too but did you get anyone else gifts?" She asked."Yeah, I got each of the twins those rings that zap someone when the high five," I said smiling over the first transfiguration class. Hermione on the other hand turned to me , her face full of confusion, " Are we talking about Ron's older brothers? Why would you ever get them a gift, they always get on my nerves!"She exclaimed. " I mean they are funny and plus it's a memory on how George electrocuted Fred" I said keeping myself from bursting into laughter over the memory but Hermione wasn't amused. "But their bad role models! And they get into way to much problems!" She said. I quickly tried to turn the conversation around.
"Hey! We're almost at the train stop! Only like 6 minutes left!" I tried to Change the topic. " Oh, that train ride felt short," She said, packing her things up. A few minutes later the train came to a stop. We grabbed our trunks and lugged them off the train. "Wait here I'm going to grab a trolley for our things" I said, eyeing a nearby trolley. I ran over and grabbed it as fast as i could i dragged it over to hermione. We both placed out trunks on top before running through the wall. When we emerged I spotted mum and dad talking to a woman who looked around their ages, and next to her where to kids in our grade. Joshua, and Samul parker. Before we reached them mum spotted us and waved us over. "Sam, Hermione meet Gemma parker and her kids!" She said introducing us. "Hey girls, you can call me Gemma, this is my son Joshua and his friend Samuel!" She said enthusiastically. "Hey, I'm Samuel but you can call me Sam," Samuel said. "Hi and I'm Josh, " Said joshua. Samuel had tan skin, black hair, and brown eyes, but Josh had Ashy brown hair, hazel eyes , and light skin. I knew they had just met this year but from the looks of it they seemed to have known each other through childhood. "Well anyways you wont believe this but they just moved in next door. We will meet here after you guys leave!" Mum gushed. "Well Gemma we will see you at home we have to leave, it was lovely seeing you!" Mum said as we got in the car and left.
