A/N 1 - hey guys! Sorry it's been forever since I updated The One At Theater Camp. I've been sick, celebrating both Christmas and the New Year, having my best friend visit, among other things. I've also been writing The One At Horse Camp, which is a lot of fun to write.

A/N 2 - there are only four chapters left until this story is done.

A/N 3 - I don't own the song Barry Is Going To Prom or the intro to Unruly Heart. They belong to their respected owners.

CHAPTER FIFTEEN
(chapter title - Barry Is Going To Prom)

Bruno gathered everyone involved in The Prom to the Performance Space the following day.

"Everyone, I present to you - your costumes!" Bruno said with a flourish, "please take care of them. The costume team will clean and steam them after dress rehearsal, then they'll be ready for you at the end of the month for the show."

Everyone squealed and cooed over their costumes.

"When I call your character name, please come forward and see your costumes" Bruno said over the noise, "Sheldon!"

Ted came on stage and went to where a clothing rack was with his name - all sorts of costumes hung there.

"Go to the boys dressing room and try on your outfit for Act 1, Scene 1" Bruno said, "we are doing a run-through of the show and a dress rehearsal, so please hurry in getting your costumes on, darlings! Next - Emma!"

Once everyone had their costumes, it was time for not only the run-through of the show, but the first ever dress rehearsal.

It was time for the sixth number in Act 2 - Barry Is Going To Prom, sung by Barney.

Barney was onstage by himself as he sang one of his favorite songs in the musical.

"I'm oddly excited
Perhaps that's because
Although it shouldn't matter
It somehow does

It's strange but I feel like I'm in a time machine
'Cause, guess what? It's like I'm suddenly seventeen
So, book a white limo, uncork the Dom

After 21 years, I am finally going
To Prom

I once thought a night like this wasn't in the cards
Now I've got a date, a tux, and the whole nine yards
A rational person would just stay calm
Oh, since when am I rational?
Barry is going to Prom!
The Prom!
I wish I could tell that sad kid I was
To stop crying into his Cheetos
They say it gets better
Guess what? It does!
Who cares if you're a big ol' girl
Just get into that gym
And twirl!
Barry's going to the
To the freakin' prom!
Going to the prom
In showbiz, I never felt such a thrill drive
My date is a high school lesbian - still it's fine!
And though it's been years, I might call my mom
And tell her that though it's overdue
All of my waiting is over, too
And if you're not happy, I'm over you
'Cause Barry!
Yes, Barry!
Look at me, mom!
Barry's going to
Prom!
" Barney sang as he danced around the stage, remembering Bruno's choreography.

Once Barney's song was over, everyone applauded before going into the next scene, which was Unruly Heart.

Monica rolled onto the stage sitting on a bed with her guitar on her lap and a laptop in front of her. She pressed a button and cleared her throat before speaking.

"Hello Interweb. Okay. Well. My name is Emma Nolan; I'm a 17-year-old girl and I'm a lesbian. Maybe you heard about the fake prom in Indiana? Well, that was me. It was truly awful in every way. I was feeling sorry for myself, but then after talking with some friends, I decided to take all that awfulness and maybe make something good out of it. So, I wrote this song for all the people out there, who just love someone in a way that the rest of the world can't understand. I'm sure we've all got stories to tell. Here's mine" Monica said, strumming her guitar and began to sing Unruly Heart.

By the time Monica was done singing, everyone had tears in their eyes.

The rest of the dress rehearsal and run through went well. There was a few fumbled lines, but nothing major.

"Darlings, you're all free to go. Please hang your costumes on the rack before you go" Bruno said.

Everyone did their own things, then met in the Mess Hall for dinner, which was hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, salad, fruit and for dessert, freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, brownies, cheesecake and parfaits.

Everyone went to their cabins with full bellies and full hearts.
