Ch.6 Save yourself.

-A pact?- Castiel sputtered, a flush creeping up his cheeks. -You caught me off guard... This isn't how I pictured this happening,- he muttered, nervously pacing back and forth, adjusting his attire.

- You thought about this?- Abaddon said with a knowing smile.

-Well I…- even more color when up when he realized what he just said -I…thought hmm…Maybe we could…potentially…-

She giggled.

-Yes!- Castiel cleared his throat and kneeled before her -I would love to…- he sounded a little bit shy – I want us to make a pact…-

She smiled at him. He then fumbled to his feet and sat beside her. -Okay, I am ready!- he announced and closed his eyes.

She gave him a weird look and chuckled –How many times have you done this before?- She asked, amused.

-Well…hmm, the opportunity never presented before…-

-Are you joking with me? Never? Not even Dean?-

-Well…How many times have you?-

-Not as many as you had, obviously…But at least, I understand the gist of it…- she stood up and walked away -hmm, maybe you are not ready…pitty … I should try the hunters instead… what do you think of Bobby?-

-Bobby?- Castiel sounded hurt. Abaddon giggled again and turned around.

-Relax…I'm just kidding. If you are not ready, he is eons behind you…Here! – Abaddon said with a playful smile and presented Castiel with a pin. -Just hold on to this for the time being…- She fastened it behind his lapel, close to his heart

-Just so you know Castiel, a pact with me can be hurtful so, take that pin off if you change your mind…-

-Not a chance…- he placed his hand over the lapel. Over the pin.

It was early morning at Bobby's house. Dean had finished explaining to Sam his encounter with Castiel the night before. They are both looking through books distractedly while talking to each other.

- Well, you know what, at least you tried.- said Sam

- Yeah, fat lot of good it did. Why did he even come here in the first place, right?- Dean tried to sound jokingly but he reminiscent on the book he was holding. His simile faded quickly.

Sam shrugs and sighs. Dean slams the book shut.

- Well, Samuel's journals are pointless. I mean, I'm sorry, but, Jebediah Campbell has squat to tell me about how to stop Cas from cracking Purgatory.-

Bobby walks in at that very moment, carrying a large envelope.

- Well actually, it's not about the journals we have, it's about the one we don't.-

- Meaning what?- asked Sam

- Well, that's the bad news. Our pal Cas didn't stop in last night just to mend fences.-

- What did he do?- Den walked to the desk.

- Stole something.-

- What?-

- The journal of one Moishe Campbell.-

- Moishe?- asked Sam.

- Of the New York Campbells.- expanded Bobby

- Well, uh, so we gotta get it back, right?- suggested Dean.

Bobby holds up the envelope and hands it to Sam. -Or just read the copy I'd already made. Hi, glad to meet you. Bobby Singer. Paranoid bastard.-

Moments late, Bobby sat across the table in front of Sam. He was reading pages of the journal. Dean came back from the kitchen carrying two mugs. Sam is reading another book.

- I think I zeroed in on something.- declared Bobby

- What do you got?- asked Dean handing one of the mugs to Sam

Bobby hands him one page from the copy pointing an specific paragrahp. Dean reads it out loud.

-"Went to talk to Howard Phillips about the events of March 10th."-

Dean sits at the desk holding the page.

- That's March 10th, 1937.- clarified Bobby.

- Alright. So who's this Phillips guy?- asked Dean

-Phillips ain't his last name. It's Lovecraft.- corrected Bobby

- Wait, H.P. Lovecraft?- Sam asked interested, Bobby nods.

- Let me see that.- asked Sam, excited. Dean gives him the paper.

- Am I supposed to know who that is?- asked Dean.

Bobby looked at Sam, who returned a blank stare, and they both looked at Dean.

- Horror writer. At the Mountains Of Madness, The Call of Cthulu?- clarified Bobby.

- Yeah, it's - no, I'm - I was too busy having sex with women.- Dean gloated.

Bobby and Sam rolled their eyes.

- Well, anyhow. There's one notion that comes up over and over again in his stories—namely, opening doors to other dimensions and letting scary crap through.- further explained Bobby.

- You don't say.- said Dean in a mock tone.

- Wait, so you're saying you think Lovecraft knew something about Purgatory?- interjected Sam.

- All I know is Moishe paid him a visit, and for some reason, Castiel found that interesting enough to steal the diary from us-

They were still discussing their findings when Dean's phone rang. He sees the number and immediately answers.

- Ben?- answered Dean hearing the child speak frantically over the phone.

- There are men in the house.-

- What?-

- They killed Matt. They got Mom. They're coming, I hear them.-

- What are they?-

- I - I don't know.-

- Ben, stay with me on the phone. I'm coming…where are you now?-

- In my room.-

- Can you get to your mom's closet? I left a shotgun in there.-

- No. Dean, what do I do?-

The child sounds desperate. Dean's head went through several scenarios in a matter of seconds. Sam and Bobby were standing by.

- Okay, Ben, listen to me. Go to your window and jump.-

- What?!-

- Any bones you break won't compare to what they're gonna do to you, Ben. You've got to jump and try your best to hide until I arrive.-

- Okay, I'm going.-

Ben pushes some things off his desk. He climbs up and opens the window.

- I'm on my way; do not lose the phone…- Dean continued to talk as he prepared himself to leave the house, but he heard much noise and paused listening carefully.

The demons kick Ben's door open. Ben looks back in horror.

- I'm coming to get you and your mom, I promise. You with me, Ben? Ben?- There's no answer.- -Ben?- Dean shouted over the phone.

Crowley picks up Ben's phone from the floor in Ben's room.

- Hello, Dean.- Dean is horrified, he recognizes the voice -Fancy a chat? God, how long's it been, Dean? Since my so-called demise, yes?-

-Crowley, let 'em gonow, or I swear...-

- Right, right. You'll rip me a cornucopia of orifices. Let's get to the bit where I tell you how this goes. Your chocolate's been in my peanut butter for far too long.-

- I am going to kill you.-

- Oh, Dean, ever the wit. I've got your uh, what are they? Ex-lady friend and not-kid, and I'm keeping them until I'm satisfied that you've backed the hell off!-

- I'm telling you, last chance to let 'em go easy.-

- You're adorable when you get all threatening. Don't worry, I won't hurt them. Provided you and Jolly Green stand down. Got it? Splendid. Kisses. -Crowley hangs up.

Dean hung up, a destroyed look on his face.

- What's the story?- asked Bobby.

- He said Lisa and Ben keep breathing as long as we sit on our thumbs.-

Sam sighs- You think Cas knows about this?-

-We gotta assume he does.-

- So what are we gonna do?- Bobby asked

- I'll tell you what we're not gonna do: sit here. I'm going after 'em.-

- I'm coming with.- Sam moved after Dean.

- No, Sam. You and Bobby stay on the Lovecraft thing, okay? Cas is already way ahead of us.-

- You gotta be nuts if you think I'm gonna let you do this alone. Bobby can take care of the case.-

- No, guys...- he was about to protest, but Dean stopped him.

- Bobby, this is a big ball, okay? We can't drop it now.-

- Fine. But how are you two gonna find Lisa and Ben?- Dean and Sam looked at each other.

Bobby drives off to his appointment with a contact who promises to be an expert Lovecraftian. Meanwhile, Sam and Dean prepare themselves to summon Balthazar.

-Are we being too desperate…I mean…is Baltazar…Wouldn't we have better luck calling Aby instead?- asked Sam as they laid out the ingredients.

-Sam, I'd love to call her as much as you do. Believe me, she would be a much better help, but we don't know what happened to her; Cas didn't say. we ought to assume the worst here… and even if Castiel found her…He might have swiveled her into his web by now….who knows-

-She is a smart girl…But I understand…I get it-

They light the match, throw it in the bowl, and wait. The lights go out, the floor trembles and Balthazar appears, still holding a drink in his hand.

- I'm sorry, boys, do I look like a man-servant to you? No? No? Then quit ringing for me, please.- Baltazar protested.

- This is important, Balthazar.- explained Dean

- I was drinking '75 Dom out of a soprano's navel when you called.Thatwas important.-

- Crowley's alive. – Sam informed him.

- Well, you've been scooped. Cas already told me.- Baltazar stepped down from the car he was standing on. There was a pause before he answered. He sounded a little bit unsettled but tried his best to cover up.

- Well, did Cas tell you that he is Crowley's butt-buddy, you smug little dick?- follow up Dean

- Excuse me?- Baltazar could not avoid a raising in his voice, almost outraged.

- Handshake deal. Go halfsies on all the souls of Purgatory. He fills you in on that?- Sam continued.

Balthazar seems lost for a moment- Well, yes, yes. Yes, of course, he did. Yes.- It was evident to the two brothers that Balthazar was lying. He was thrown off his game.

- Oh, yes, of course. We can read it all over your face.- smudged Sam.

- Look, Crowley and Cas took two very important people to me…- continued Dean.

- And I care about this because?-

- Because maybe there is a shred of decency underneath this - this snarky crap.-

Balthazar sipped his drink but said nothing.

- They're innocent people, and I'm asking for your help.-

- Hmmm. I see. Fair enough.- Balthazar said and disappeared.

- Son of a b*!- shouted Dean in frustration.

- Look, Dean. Let's just call Cas. Maybe he doesn't know anything about this.-

- We are not calling Cas.-Dean refuted strongly.

- Okay then, let's try Aby…we got nothing to lose at this point… and we need answers fast….-

Dean gave it a hard thought. He seemed to be struggling but agreed in the end.

-Aby…please, if you can hear us, we need your help -Sam called -Can we talk…?-

As Sam spoke, Dean unconsciously put his hands together and rubbed them. He was feeling anxious and impatient.

-Please, Aby…-Dean said under his breath. As soon as the words came out of his lips, he felt like a gong rang inside him. His whole world shook violently. He found himself standing in a dark forest, and Aby was before him. She was so pale and shriveled. She was covered in dark smudges, maybe blood. She was holding a bow and arrow. She seemed like she was hunting something, or something was hunting her.

-Aby?- called Dean confused. She turned around and met his eyes. Her expression changed to pure surprise. She said something, but Dean could not understand her.

-Aby…I can't…I can't hear you – he explained. She tried to say something else. Dean just looks at her blankly. She puts the arrow away, looks nervously around, and closes her fist on her chest in something like a short prayer. Just like a professional baseball player, he throws at him something that he catches, but the force he receives is such that it blows him off his feet.

-Dean…Dean!- he heard Sam's voice. It was far away at first, but then it approached.

-What the heck happened?- Sam kneeled near Dean and helped him sit up.

-What was that?- Dean asked, confused.

-You were standing right there, and suddenly you flew off-

It took Dean a moment to recollect his thoughts -Aby!- he stood up, but his knees failed. Sam catches him.

-What?-

-Aby! She was right…there…- but as Dean details the area, he finds it is not the same; there were cars piled up where she was supposed to be, and no forest.

-What are you talking about?-

-I…I don't know…I saw her…she was right there- Dean pointed at that place, and that is when they saw it. Dean's hand was glowing.

-What the heck is that?- said Sam. Dean turned his hand around, and in the middle of his palm, something inlaid was shining.

-She threw something at me- explained Dean.

-That's it hurt?- asked Sam. Dean was passing his fingers through it.

-No…it's warm to the touch…- he explained and held his hand up to Sam. He took it and ran his fingers on it. Immediately, he straightened his back like shook by electricity. His head raised up, and his eyes glimmered gold.

-Sam?-

-Finally!- came a voice. They turned around. A walking-dead warrior version of Abaddon was standing in front of them, where Dean had pointed out.

-Aby?- they said at the same time, baffled.

-Stop drooling, boys, and tell me what's going up with the world today…-

-We don't have time for that…Crowley has Lisa and Ben- Dean explained quickly seizing the opportunity.

-Crowley…the demon…?- but Sam could not hear the rest. Abaddon disappeared as soon as Dean parted hands with him.

-Did Aby just leave?- he asked

-What are you talking about? She is right there…Wait! You didn't know about this?- said Dean turning around at the nothingness.

-Wait! You can still see her?- approached Sam. Dean gave him a weird look. Then he turned around again. He seems to be listening to something.

-Oh!- he finally said after a few seconds of silence and, standing next to Sam, gave him his hand to hold. Sam looked at it for a moment and then, a little confused, took it. His eyes glimmered gold again. He could see Abaddon now.

-Okay…- said Sam and cleared his throat – you were saying?-

-Let me see if I remember correctly…- she resumes -Crowley is that sneaky demon usually escaping your clutches…and that Lisa and Ben characters where you make up family, right?-

-My make-up family?- repeated Dean, quite insulted.

-Well, yeah, the producers thought it would lower ratings if they settled your character so soon with a family, you know…with the whole Destiel on the raising, so they made the obvious move: A hunter's life is no place for a helpless damsel dragging a child- she air quoted - so you have to abandon them in order to keep them save…which I understand just backfired now… –

-ABY! Please… – interrupted Sam, giving her a weary look. she turned at them; Dean especially had a broken look over him.

-Oh! Right….This is supposed to be the real world now…- she muttered to herself – I…I am sorry, I talked too much. I assume you want them back…?- she gave them a half smile in apology that faded fairly quickly – Why call me? Where is Castiel?- she looked around.

Sam and Dean looked at each other – Interesting! Don't you know where your other half is? -Dean replied in an acid tone.

Abaddon lowered her sight; she admitted she had it coming from Dean -Did something happen?- she asked slowly.

-The new prince of hell is in cahoots with Castiel to crack open purgatory…- Sam informed her.

Abaddon looked at them blankly.

-You serious…You didn't really know about all this bull…?- demanded Dean with an irritated tone -Where have you been?-

Abaddon continued to look at them blankly.

-you think we lost her?- whispered Sam at Dean.

-I think we did..or maybe we are having a bad connection – Dean whispered back and raised their hands like they were looking for asignal.

Abaddon finally sighed -Darn you, Castiel!-

-Seriously, Aby, we have doubts about calling you… You both were always together…we thought you would be involved in this…- Sam was when Abaddon interrupted.

-Typical humans! So, you thought I no longer have a mind of my own because we are sleeping together or something? Waking up in each other's arms every morning, skipping our way to the bathroom so I can help him hold it while he did his business?-

The brothers looked at each other.

-Well, that's a picture we did not need in our brains – said Dean -But, …Yeah!- they answered together.

Abaddon rolled her eyes. - First of all, angels don't sleep, eat, or do business in the bathroom. Second of all, If it looks to you boozos like we were together, I have a news flash for you. Since arriving in this dimension, Castiel has got me rolling from one safe house to another. Everything here is conspiring to kill me for some reason, so what was his solution? To have me under surveillance 24/7…until that day I escaped… and I prove him right…- she sighed- I got beaten to a pulp and poison…He never took me anywhere unless he was coming to see you two! He thought I was safe just by being in your immediate vicinity as if you were my lucky charms or something. Hence, I never saw daylight unless he was around, which was not often…anything wrong with me seemed to have a solution just by being around you two…or so he thought… He thinks way too highly of you.- she scoffed. Sam and Dean stared at her.

She passed around -In truth, he would disappear for weeks at a time while I remained a prisoner being babysited by a bunch of angels that hated MY GUTS… unable to help him wage war and being a general burden…I didn't blame him for not sharing his day with me. He was always rushing and preoccupied… -She crossed her arms and looked at the hunters up and down – Well, I have to admit he was not wrong. You both do have something… Here I am; I made my way back to my lucky charms after all. I have the slightest idea of Castiel's whereabouts or what he's up to, but I am grateful I can finally speak to another being who is not viciously trying to kill me.-

-Angel hospitality for you…- Dean commented to Sam.

– He was going to ask you guys to babysit me. I said NO…But I am starting to wonder now how that tune would have played otherwise…He might have been right all along while it was me refusing help…But, seeing how Lisa and Ben had been kidnapped…well…-

-Really? Now you have complaints about how I run my business?- argued Dean – You understand it is YOUR boyfriend, A POWERFUL MIGHTY ANGEL, who is plotting to heist purgatory along with his best buddy, THE DEMON LORD, while kidnapping MY FAMILY in the process…-

Sam turned around at Dean; he definitively heard him right. Dean expressed of Lisa and Ben as his family. Dean never dared to admit that much to him before. Sam turned back to Abaddon, who was looking back at him with a knowing smile. Sam wondered how much Abaddon could lead Dean to admit on a sober day.

-Of course not…- answered Abaddon very slowly – you would never jeopardize the whole world just to save a couple of souls…- Dean looked at her apprehensive -Did you ask Castiel about it?- continued Abaddon -This whole thing sounds to me like you are assuming…-

-NO!- Dean interrupted her.- and I am assuming nothing!-

-Oh! I see, so now he is the bad guy… we won't question that…-

-We talked to him, Aby. He is determined to open purgatory after we asked him not to do it- explained Sam

-He lied to us…he manipulated us… He even robs us! An Angel….now mugging people; what has the world come to?- Dean was upset, but there was pain in his voice.

-You call him your friend…once, now that he needs you the most, you toss him aside like disgusting soggy paper…-

-NO Aby, no…He hid the truth from us and sneaked about with his new bestie…- defended Sam

-But, now you know the true…You can help him…-

-And we tried…we have tried to talk to him so many times, we did! But, he is not listening to us- Sam's voice lowered.

Abaddon's face fell -This is all my fault…- she muttered.

-Are you going Stockholmie on us now?- mocked Dean.

Abaddon turned around as serious as she could be -Castiel is being highjacked…- Sam and Dean flinched at the words.

-You notice something…- she caught them – What was it?-

The brothers looked at each other. Sam spoke – We trap Castiel in a holy ring of fire…-

-You what? Why?-

-He was not listening to us, and…we just uncovered his plan with Crowley, so we captured him to use him to lure Crowly out…- Dean explained it -…and it worked…Only…-

-He went nuclear Aby…He exploded in flames just like you did…-

-Or kind of…- interjected Dean – His flames were not as powerful as Aby's, don't you think?-

-Oh yeah! She was all blown up, but he was kind of…puff…- mimic Sam

-Oh yeah!..-

-Okey…Okey I get it!- she said more to herself -No worries… I am here now…Your favorite ghost is on the case…I'll find your family's whereabouts… and check on Cas…-

-Wait, wait, wait…What did you just say… GHOST?- interrupted Dean

-Oh! Well yeah, I am haunting you now, Dean- she pointed at his glowing hand currently holding Sam's hand – Thanks, by the way…-

-WHAT? How'd you….NOOoooo…- protested Dean. Sam was debating whether to laugh or remain calm.

-Oh! Don't worry guys…I am not going full ghost mode on you… I don't really have any unfinish business -she joked - but, if you really want to stop me, all you have to do is… chop off that hand and burn it away; it would also work if you burn the whole body… take your pick – she gestured at Dean and smiled- See ya!- and with that, she banished.

Both brothers sighed. -Great!- Dean throws his hands in the air.

-Your own personal ghost….Aby nonetheless- admired Sam, obviously joking.

-Don't start with me Sam…-

-What do you think Castiel do if he finds out?-

-Sam, shut up, or you gonna get it!- they both start to pack and move to the car.

-Would she haunt you 24/7? Would you ever have privacy again?-

-Sam! Last warning-

-Hahaha wait 'til Bobby hears about…Ouch!-

-You'd been warned…- Dean hit him on his arm as soon as the car door was closed.

-Fine! Okay, genius. Now what?- Sam rubbed his forearm.

-I am not about to let my personal ghost do all the work…We go demon hunting…- Dean turns on the engine.

-We never asked her how is she a ghost.- commented Sam as they go -Wait! Is she dead? I mean…she is an angel…or was…if angels died….-

-I thought they just disappeared…- Dean reflected. The two brothers looked at each other apprehensively.

Bobby had a productive day so far. He met with Judah, an H.P Lovecraft enthusiast who led Bobby to learn about the existence of some letters regarding the incident back in 1937. Unfortunately, the letters were missing after a man with a trenchcoat came asking the same questions. Nevertheless, Bobby got the list of the guests at that event. After a night of research, he found thatmost of them were dead or disappeared. He was explaining this to Sam over the phone the following day.

-I dug, and every guest invited to the hoedown died or disappeared within a year.-

- Wow, um, so where are you off to now?-

- Have a chat with one of the guests.-

- Wait, didn't you just say that everyone there died?-

- Yeah, everybody Lovecraft invited died. It seems the maid had a nine-year-old boy. He was there.-

- So, he'd be what, 83 years old now? Where is he?-

- Same place he's been ever since the big night. Locked in a mental ward.-

A fight can be heard inside the garage behind Sam - I see, um... Well, keep me posted, huh?-

- Sure. How're things going there? You got a lead on Lisa and Ben?-

-Kind of…We have an agent on the field but have not reported back yet, and well, um, we're making a few inquiries ourselves.-

-You have an agent? You manage to subdue Balthazar? I got to hand it to you guys!-

-No, not Balthazar. It's even better but, let me fill you in when we see you…I need to check on Dean – whispered Sam as he walked into the garage.

-Sure…talk you later…-

Inside the garage, there are screams. Dean kills a demon with Ruby's knife. There are several other dead demons on the floor.

- Next customer.- Dean called, cleaning the bloody knife. He straps a demon into a chair over a devil's trap. Dean paces around him with the knife.

- Look, I don't know anything.- protested the demon.

- Yeah, we'll see.- Dean walks away to take a sip of whisky from a nearby table. There were all sorts of tools on it, too. Sam walks in.

- Look, man. You - you're running on what, uh, whisky and - and coffee and whatever else you're taking.-

- Yeah, and?-

- And we're grasping at straws here, man.-

- Look, I kill enough of these demons, eventually one of 'em's gonna tell me where Crowley is. So we good?-

-Aby is out there…She will bring back something for sure…She…she's still not here yet, right? -Sam looked around, and Dean did too.

-Nop…No friendly ghost on sight…- he took another sip.

- Well, look, you've been at it for a while; why don't you at least let me take over? You deserve a break.-

- No thanks.- Dean placed the glass down and walked up to the demon.

- Dean.- Sam grabs Dean's arm.

- Sam, back off. Lisa and Ben, wherever they are, that is a hundred percent on me. And if they are hurt...I… I'll yell if I need you.- Dean had a stern look on him. Sam let go. Dean resumes the interrogation. Sam sighs and walks out. The screams continued.

-Aby, where are you? – Sam paced outside in the backyard, then, taking a deep breath, took another decision - Castiel, it's Sam. Um, so look, I don't know if you're in on this whole Ben-Lisa thing, but if you have any heart whatsoever, bring 'em back to us, man. C'mon. Please. I'm begging you. I am begging you, do you understand?- Sam looks around. Nothing. He scoffs. As he walks away, Castiel is standing next to him, unseen, and right next to him is Abaddon, unseen to Castiel as well. She follows Castiel.

Crowley is reading an anatomy book.Smiling Faces Sometimesby The Undisputed Truth was playing when Castiel walked in.

- Sweetie. You look tense.- Crowley greeted cheerfully.

- You took Ben and Lisa. Smart move to throw them off your scent. Now they are busy going after your demons…How many of those do you have left? Hell must feel empty by now…-

- Oh. That…-

- I told you… -

- Not to touch Sam and Dean. And I've respected that. I'm merely exploiting the obvious loophole. As long as I have the woman and boy, your fop-coiffed little heroes will be scouring the earth for them, therefore not you and not me. Everybody wins... except my demons, but…I can always find more. There is always evil around, ready to be ripe-

- You should've talked to me first.-

- I'd rather ask forgiveness than permission.- Crowley chuckles.

- Where are they, Crowley?-

Crowley smiles and makes a motion of zipping his lips and putting the key in his coat pocket.

- You are not to harm them, do you understand me?-

- You know what? You're all maxed out on putting humans out of bounds. I'll do with them as I please. Want to stop me? Go find freaking Purgatory!-

There is a high-pitched sound, and Castiel touches his temple.

- Call on the bat-phone? Never call during business hours, do they?-

- I'll be back.- Castiel said and disappeared. Abaddon gave Crowley one last look; at least she knew now where he was, but that was not good enough, so she decided to follow Castiel.

- Cas, Cas, Cas. So good of you to come.- came Balthazar from the woods.

- Balthazar. Why'd you summon me here?-

- Can I ask you a direct question?-

- Of course.-

- Are you in flagrante with the King of Hades?-

- Of course not.- Castiel didn't even stuttered.

Abaddon was surprised -Was he always this forward at lying?- she asked to herself. -No, there is something else…and that was a pathetic lie anyway…- she observed Balthazar.

Balthazar laughs - Always were such a terrible liar. So it's true. Alright then, why?-

- It's a means to an end. Balthazar, you understand that.-

- Oh, absolutely. But what's the end here exactly? You know, raid Purgatory, snatch up all the souls?-

- Win the war.- Castiel answers plainly.

- And I can only assume that you'd be the vessel, correct? Suck up all those souls into yourself? All that power?-

- It's the only way.-

- Or too much juice for you, in which case you explode, taking a substantial chunk of the planet along with you.-

- That won't happen.-

- Sure, sure. Of course. – Baltazar scoffs- Just - just tell me that it's entirely risk-free.-

- I'm sorry that I didn't tell you, but I need to know. Are you with me or not?- They both stare at each other.

-There are many things we are not telling each other lately. For example, how is our mutual friend? I haven't seen her for a while, since you took her for a ride on that rainy day…-

Castiel sighed. -The Mother of All was no help… Balthazar…I just want this war to be over. Time Is running out…Are you with me or not?- Castiel repeated with annoyance.

-So…she is dead? Pitty, I was starting to like her…-

-She disappeared…- interrupted Castiel.

-Disappeared? Disappeared how?- He wanted to hear more about it, but he noticed Catiel's thin patience; a vein seemed to be popping in his forehead. Balthazar cleared his throat. There was no point in wearing Castiel off. He chuckled -Ah. You know, you may be certifiable, but fine. In for a penny, in for a pound. You…let me help you look for her, right?-

- Yes…yes, you would be of great help. How'd you hear about this anyway?-

- Oh, your howler monkeys, of course. See, they're just a touch worked up about that kidnapping business, you know?-

Castiel sighed. -I'll see to that- Castiel said in a tired voice and disappeared. Abaddon remained behind. Balthazar was visibly upset. He stays looking after Castiel; in that second, Abaddon puts her finger on his forehead. For a moment, he seems to calm down. He breathes in deeply. There is a gold glimmer in his eyes. Balthazar disappears.

Abaddon went then after Castiel.

Back at the garage. Dean fills a syringe with blood. He walks over to the demon that is bound in a chair over a devil's trap.

- I promise you, pal. Start talking.- But this time, Dean makes a grave mistake; he is too tired to notice. He walks over to the devil's trap. Unknown to him, his shoe rubs away part of the devil's trap—the demon notices it.

-Or I swear, I will rip your skin off, strip by strip. And then I'm gonna kill you.- Dean leans in front of him.

- Yeah.- the demon answers back. His eyes go black.- I hear you.- Dean is surprised. The demon telekinetically throws Dean against a nearby van. The demon breaks out of his bounds and walks towards Dean. He puts his hand around Dean's neck and starts choking him. Dean cannot yell for help, and there is no weapon around him.

Castiel appears behind the demon. He lays a hand on the demon's head, and light emerges from the demon's face as he dies. Dean looks at Castiel in shock.

-My, my…so your plan is to squeaky clean Hell out of its demons?- Abaddon walked out from behind Castieland looked around; there were so many bodies pilling in the place by now. -One at a time, I see…This won't look good if the police arrive…- she smiled at Dean, who was still on the floor coughing.

Dean catches his breath. His eyes darted from Castiel to Abaddon. It didn't seem to him that Castiel was aware of Abaddon's presence. He was just there staring at him with a worried look on his face.

-I came as soon as I found out… -Castiel started to explain, but Dean could not hear the rest as he focused on Abaddon mouthing over his shoulder -He is lying…-

Dean looked a little dispersed to Castiel; he kept staring over his shoulder. -…I…I am really sorry…- Castiel said and looked around, but there was nothing there -… I didn't know Crowley…-

-I didn't ask for your help. What are you doing here?- exploded Dean, finally able to talk.

-That at least was true- intervened Abaddon -He didn't know what Crowley was doing…he had to make a pit stop before coming here- she walked away and sat on the table. Dean was looking after her. Castiel was thrown off; he tried to follow Dean's eyes in the same direction, but nothing was there.

- Well, regardless, you're welcome…Are you…feeling okay?-

- What do you want- answered Dean annoyed, and walked past Castiel. Placing himself right next to Abaddon. As close as he could be, he moved things around the table and stared at Abaddon, irritated. She only smiled back.

Castiel felt something was wrong. He cleared his throat and continued - I had no idea Crowley would take Lisa and Ben.-

- Yeah, right.- Dean interrupted him, annoyed, and turned around, crossing his arms. Abaddon wasted no time; she passed an arm over Dean's shoulders. He looked at her arm sliding over his left shoulder and tried his best to get back to Castiel as composed and upset as he could be, but she suddenly pinched his cheek and shook it. Dean's eyes peeled open; he was trying his best to keep his sight on Castiel, who, at this point, was giving him the weirdest of looks.

Abaddon then let go pushing his head to the side. Dean turned around at her, furious but quickly composed, and looked back at Castiel. There was still no reaction from him, just a confused look.

Abaddon used her arm and dragged him to her. They were now cheek by cheek. -Oh! So you figure it out…he can't see me…- she whispered and exploded in laughter. She kisses Dean on the cheek. That was it for him. She pushes away, face completely red. He pointed at her, about to protest, but remembered Castiel andthen cleared his throat.

-Castiel – he said in a shaky voice – This is not a good time…I am drunk, and I may be acting stupid…- he grinned at Abaddon, who was still laughing.

Castiel approached Dean slowly. He looked at the table and then back at Dean – So, you don't believe I am not part of this… Are you okay? You look a little…- Castiel deviated from the conversation and raised his hand to touch his forehead, but Dean immediately walked away from him.

- I don't believe a word that's coming out of your mouth, that is right!.- he quickly answered defensively. Castiel stops.

- I thought you said that we were like family. Well, I think that too. Shouldn't trust run both ways?-

- Ha! More like lies running both ways. But he has a point; you did call him family; now that he needs you, you turn your back on him; it is Lisa and Ben who you are truly worried about…-instigates Abaddon with a mock in her tone.

-Not now, Aby- Dean answered by reflex, but it was too late to take it back. He turned at Castiel to see the most hurt look on his face.

-I'm… I am sorry Cas. I am way more tired than I thought…-

Castiel looked at where Dean had looked. There was still nothing there. He stared at that place for a moment.

-Look Cas…Is just that Aby was always with you, contradicting whatever I said…I am tired and…definitively drunk…-

Castiel turned to Dean; he was not happy -Are you trying to be hurtful?- was all he could muster in the lowest of tones.

-OF COURSE NOT…ARE YOU?- Dean defended.

-Dean, I do everything that you ask. I always come when you call, and I am your friend. Still, despite your lack of faith in me and now your threats… I just saved you. Has anyone but your closest kin ever done more for you? All I ask is this one thing.- Castiel protested.

- Trust your plan to pop Purgatory?-

- I've earned that, Dean.-

Dean scoffs.

-Poor Cas…When would he learn that he gains nothing being around humans… He will always be an outcast, taken in by pity- Abaddon dropped down the table and walked around them. Castiel notices Dean looking again away at something. Dean looked like he wanted to say something but contained himself.

- I came to tell you that I will find Lisa and Ben, and I will bring them back. Stand behind me, the one time I ask.-

-What a waste of time- said Abaddon, standing right next to Dean now -You obviously would never stand behind him; after all, he is just a fallen angel, totally expendable, not even your kin, not ever your family, because we all know where your real family is… being hostage by a demon…and Castiel is a mere accomplice now…-

-What are you trying to pull here- muttered Dean trying his best to keep his eyes on Castiel.

-Curious and curious- thought Castiel as he witnessed Dean's behavior, his breath shallowing like he was building up rage. He clutched his fits; his eyes moved to his side for a second. -There is someone there- thought Castiel.

-I AM NOT THE ONE TRYING TO BE HURTFUL HERE!- finally exploded Dean – If it was the other way around…if it was Castiel held hostage by a demon, I would do this all over again to try to save him!- Dean suddenly stopped. They both fell silent, a hot flush in Dean's face -DARN YOU AB…- Dean stopped himself again and took a deep breath, frustrated - You're asking me to stand down?- Dean redirected to Castiel.

- Dean!-

- That's the same damn ransom note that Crowley handed me. You know that, right? Well, no thanks. I'll find 'em myself. In fact, why don't you go back to Crowley and tell him that I said you can both…Three…-Dean corrected himself with his finger pointing everywhere - kiss my ass.-

Dean storms out. Castiel stood there for almost a solid minute, not knowing what to think. He took a deep breath and placed his hand over his left lapel.

-Abaddon- whispered Castiel when he found himself alone. He bowed his head and closed his eyes -Are you…Are you really here?- pain in his voice. Abaddon was standing by his side. -I have been…looking for you… everywhere- his voice breaks.

Abaddon is looking at him, the saddest expression on her face. Castiel sighed and looked around; he was still all alone. He disappeared. Abaddon could have followed him, but this time, there was another fish to fry, so she went after Dean.

Meanwhile, Bobby had another productive dayafter following the lead of the maid's child. He found an old man in a mental instituteCastiel had unfortunately visited just before Bobby arrived, but there was a piece of information that was not given to Castiel at that moment since the man didn't really like him but favored Bobby instead. That is when the old man shows him the photo of his mother, the maid. Bobby knew this person, only he knew her by another name. Bobby rushed to find her. He was sure they had finally beaten Castiel's advantage.

Very late at night, Bobby got out of his car. He has been driving nonstop for a good while, only stopping for coffee and the bathroom.

He finally arrives at his destination. He walks to the door of a cabin in the middle of the woods and knocks. Bobby notices there is some sort of protection symbol drawn on the door. He looks around and waits, he is sure he is in the right place. A woman answers. It's Dr Visyak. Dr Eleanor Visyak. The same doctor who tried to help them beat the dragons before they could bring Eve to Earth, which did not work, as we all know.

She exhaled sharply when she opened the door - Bobby?-

-Ellie. It's been a while.- he greeted.

- Come in.- Eleonor exhales sharply again.

Bobby enters the cabin. Eleanor looks around, then closes the door. Bobby sits on the couch. Eleanor pours some drinks and offers Bobby one.

- So, how did you find me?-

- Well, we weren't together long, Ellie, but, uh, I know a thing or two about you. I know your safe houses. And let me tell you, this one ain't all that safe.-

Eleanor sits down next to Bobby with her drink.

- So, did you come here just to um, chat?-

Bobby takes a gulp of his drink.

- I know what you are, Ellie.- He pulls out a copy of the picture of young Westborough, the man he just visited at the Mental institution, and his mom and hands it to her.- You're not exactly from Milwaukee, are you?-

- Not exactly. -She puts the picture down.

- And, not that I'd have minded, but you kind of fibbed about your age too.-

Eleonor exhales sharply yet again - Just slightly... 900 years.-

-So what's your game, then?-

- Game?-

- Yeah, why are you here? Eve came through and raised all kinds of hell quickly. You've been here how long, what's with the slow burn?-

- Well, you know, we're not all alike.-

- Monsters?-

- Okay, if it makes you feel better to call me that? Fine.-

- You're from freaking Purgatory. You never thought to mention that the whole time you slept with me?-

Eleonor scoffs - I am what I am, Bobby. And I happen to be a friend.-

Bobby remembered Abaddon's words: -Do you guys always kill everything on sight?- she had asked.

-Well, monsters are monsters…- Dean had answered

-Really? You never sat and talked to them…See what their real motivations are?-

-Their real motivations?- thought Bobby as he took another sip of his drink. -Let's give it a try…- he said to himself. - You wanna explain that to me?- he asked Eleonor.

- I didn't ask those idiots to crack the door. I just happened to be the thing that fell through. And let me tell you something, you are lucky it was me.-

- You're saying you're on our side?-

- I'm onmyside. I happen to like it here. I don't want to see this place turned into some bloody wasteland.-

- So you killed H.P. Lovecraft?-

- Please. That guy couldn't even write "hello".- Eleonor stands up.- Look, I have spent 75 years trying to keep Purgatory closed. Why do you think I gave Dean the sword?- Bobby sighs.- To stop Eve. Hell, you guys were supposed to kill the damn dragons.- she protested.

Bobby observed that Eleanor was visibly upset, with genuine distress etched on her face. Her voice wavered slightly as she paced around. 'Boy! Does he know her…' he thought as the whole picture was bringing him memories. Not really sad ones, but mostly feelings about those little things that one grows accustomed to and misses about another person.

Bobby stands up and joins her - Look, this all comes down to one angel. He wants Purgatory, and he's looking for you.-

Eleonor sighed - Well, thanks for the heads-up.- she smiled at him wearily.

- I know him, El. He's gonna figure it out. One way or another. Now, the only way I can stop him is to get ahead of him, so I need to know how you open the door.-

- No. No, Bobby, I would rather die with the secret if that is what it takes to keep it close…. Not even you…- she whispered.

- If I found you, he ain't far behind. At least let me take you somewhere, protect you.- he offered but his voice came unintentionally more like a plea.

- No. Thanks. I have a couple of other places lined up. Don't worry… Bobby, you're just a man. I'm better off protecting myself.- she argued.

Bobby had something of a revelation that day. Back in the day, he would have killed Eleonor if he had found out she was a monster. No questions ask…But for some reason she let him go; he was never sure why she just walked away from him.

But now, as she again walked away, Bobby understood. She could never truly trust him. She was all alone in this world, struggling to maintain her anonymity and protect the secret of accessing Purgatory from both sides. Humans saw her as a threat and monsters as a traitor.

He remembered Dean's answer to Abaddon: Monsters are monsters! He said so surely and emphatically that time. And then here he was, offering protection to a monster after talking to her and understanding her story. Certainly, his younger self would have never considered offering the slightest of help to a hideous monster, but this Bobby Singer had every intention of saving this one if he could.

Abaddon's words made sense; if he had talked to her and tried to understand back at that time where she was coming from, who knows where they would be now.

The image of some monster-human kids jumped into his brain and he quickly shook them off.

-El…please…- tried Bobby again.

-Bobby! I thank you for the heads up – She smiled at him. -Please go home and worry not…-

Bobby is a seasoned hunter. He knows one or two things about killing monsters, but he had to admit he was playing for the big leagues now. A powerful angel and the lord of all demons together. No book in his collection with the right answer. She, on the other hand, is an ancient monster; most likely, she indeed had a trick or two under her sleeve to repel angels like Eve had, or so Bobby thought.

-Goodbye Ellie…- Bobby whispered, his voice barely audible.

-Good luck Bobby – she answered back. Bobby gave her one last look. She was standing there with a smile. Her wavy blonde hair cascaded down her shoulders, her face as youthful as he remembered it.

He closes the door behind him.

Sam sighs. He walks through the kitchen and pours himself a drink. Balthazar appears out of nowhere in the dark kitchen. Sam was startled.

-Drinking your feelings, Sam? I thought that was your brother's bag.-

- Stressful times.- he simply answered and drank away.

- Well, we need to talk.-

- Now we need to talk? What's the catch?-

- No catch - I know I'm gonna live to regret this - but I'm officially on your team… You bastards.-

At that moment, the kitchen door opens, and Dean storms in. He freezes at the sight of Balthazar and Sam standing in the kitchen.

-Oh great! Charlotte it's here…you two kids need privacy? Don't mind me, just don't forget to wear protection…- Dean said in a tired voice and was about to go upstairs when Sam called him.

-Dean! He is actually looking to speak…with BOTH…of us…-

Dean took a deep breath. -Fine…but be quick about it…-

-Sure, so as I was saying to your darling brother – Balthazar gestured at Sam. He, in time, rolled his eyes -I am now on your team…- Balthazar announced.

-Oh good! My inside man is finally here! Just like I ordered- Abaddon popped out from behind Balthazar. Dean scoffed at her and rolled his eyes. Sam noticed it.

- And we should believe you why?- Dean demanded at Balthazar.

- Would you believe I had a shred of decency?-

- No.- answered Sam.

- Oh. That hurts.- complained Balthazar. Sam raises his eyebrows.

- No, guys! You have to believe him; he is totally on your side now – recommended Abaddon -Dean gave her a weird-out look. Sam cleared his throat, trying to call Dean's attention back into the conversation.

-Okay, you're right. It's survival. You see, I asked Cas some questions, and I disliked his answers. He seems awfully sure of himself for a man who wants to swallow a million nuclear reactors. I mean, these things can get a bit Chernobyl, you know? So, voilà. Consider me your double agent. Oh, and I took the liberty of searching for your friends. Uh, took a while. Crowley's a clever one.-

-But not as clever as you…- Abaddon celebrated proudly.

- You found them?- Dean said, hopeful.

- Well, the upside is yes, uh, the downside is no, I can't get them for you.-

- Why not?- Sam replied.

- Because Crowley's angel-proofed the whole bloody building. I guess he doesn't trust Cas. Seems that marriage is going swimmingly.-

- Okay, well get us as close as you can.- Dean negotiated.

- Sure. But then you're on your own.-

Dean smiled at Abaddon, who smiled back. Balthazar gave him a weird look as Dean seemed to be smiling at the air in the kitchen. He looked at Sam for answers. Sam gave him a nervous smile back.

Balthazar teleports himself, Sam, and Dean outside of the building where Lisa and Ben are being held. It was packed with demons.

- Alright, boys. This is where I get off. God be with you and what have you.- Balthazar disappears.

-Oh wow! I knew getting that guy would pay off… he is good!- said Abaddon next to them.

-You are not invited…go away – said Dean upset.

-Aby is here?- jumped Sam and took Dean's hand -Hi Aby – he greeted

-Hi Sam – she greeted back

-If the two young ladies have finished your cups of tea, can we please get a move on? Not you, Aby, you are grounded, go home…- Dean was clearly upset.

-What did you do, Aby?- intermediated Sam

-Well, I felt we all needed a good group soul search, so…- she said frankly.

- Oh! Don't start with me, sister, trying to make all that charade look serious…I swear you are going to be the first girl I hit…-

-Just tried it, you man-child-

-Okay, okay, enough, you two, or I swear I will turn this suicide mission around… Aby apologized to Dean… Dean apologized to Aby…-

-I regret nothing…- dared Abaddon.

-YOU…you said it yourself right there first row, he was lying to our faces… And he wanted me to do exactly as Crowley said, stand down…-

-Wait, wait wait…you both meet with Castiel?-

-yes, he…came around when I was doing the interrogation…-

-He answered your call -smiled Aby to Sam.

-You call him?- Dean was beyond himself.

-I…Thanks Aby…I just asked him if hecould come, but he never did-

-Oh! He did. You just couldn't see him…I was there…- she whispered to Dean.

-ARGH!- growled Dean exasperated -Enough of this. We are wasting valuable time…-

-OKEY…okey! We'll ALL talk about this when we get back home…for now, heads in the game – Sam was super serious now. Abaddon and Dean looked at each other and finally agreed -Okay, we move on. Aby, can you pleaseshow us the way?- asked Sam politely.

-My pleasure…-she answered and went straight ahead.

They made their way quietly to a side of the building and waited for Abaddon's signal. A demon exits the building; Abaddon points at him and passes her thumb through her throat. The demon was doing his round.

Dean sneaks and stabs him in the chest with Ruby's knife. He groans as he dies. Dean pushes the body over the gate to Sam, who leaves the body on the ground.

-Wow! You two are fantastic- admire Abaddon. Dean rolled his eyes and entered the building. Sam follows and after Abaddon.

Sam is carrying a shotgun. Dean is carrying Ruby's knife and a duffel bag containing other weapons. They all move quickly, guided by Abaddon at the front. They soon find a door heavily guarded.

Lisa and Ben are sitting on the ground, tied to a post in a room that has stairs at the entrance. A demon stands at the table in front of them.

A fight is heard outside the door. The demon goes to investigate. More punches and groaning are heard. The door breaks off, taking the demon that was investigating with it. Sam and Dean come in. They quickly subdue the demon and kill it. Dean comes down the stairs where the demon had fallen and pulls Ruby's knife. He then approaches Lisa and Ben. Sam remains by the door to secure it.

Abaddon walks slowly around Ben and Lisa. There is something wrong. Getting there was relatively easy.

-Oh, Dean. Thank God- exclaimed Lisa in relief.

- Still gotta get you out of here. -He grunts as he cuts Lisa free and moves to Ben next.

- Alright, let's go. Let's go.- Dean rushed both of them, leading the way when he saw Abaddon staring back at Lisa. Dean turned around, but it was too late. Lisa grabs Ben and Ruby's knife. She holds the knife to Ben's neck and backs up.

- Brat's not going anywhere. And neither am I – She hissed. Her eyes go black -Crowley thought you might come, so he had me jump this hot little piece of ass for insurance. Can't go losing our leverage now, can we?-

Dean takes a step forward.

- Ah. Another step. Free appendectomy.- Lisa flashed the knife to Ben -You know she's awake in here, your mom. I can hear her thinking.-

- Don't listen to her, Ben.- warned Dean. Sam sees he whole situation and aims at Lisa but is carefully observing his brother.

Lisa says to Dean - What? I was just gonna tell him that you're his real daddy. -Dean stares. Lisa laughs - Just kidding. -She speaks now to Ben - Who knows who your real dad is, kid? Your mom's a slut.-

- You shut your mouth.- Dean snapped back.

- Or what, you're her white knight now? She wishes she never met you, Dean. You're the worst mistake she ever made. – Demon/Lisa shouted at Dean, then to Ben hissed- Second worst, after keeping you.-

- It's not your mom, Ben. She's lying.- intercepted Dean.

- Says the C-minus lay with 10 miles of daddy issues. Whatever gets you through the night, Tiny Tim.-

Dean sees Abaddon walk behind Demon/Lisa. He slowly moves his hand into the bag and ready a bottle.

-Ever wonder what a three-way with a human, a demon, and a ghost would be?- Abaddon winks at Dean and jumps into Lisa.

Demon/Lisa stops moving. Her eyes turned white like there was no one home. Ben feels the hand loosen, so he tries to take it off and run, but the demon comes back and, in a swift move, is about to stab Ben when Dean throws the holy water. The demon screams and lets go of Ben. Abaddon is also affected and is expelled from Lisa.

-What the heck Dean! I am on your side- she complains. Her body is smoking.

-Okey! Noted…I am sorry- Dean tried to apologize, but the demon jumped him.

-Go!- shouted Dean at Ben. The kid runs past Dean. Demon/Lisa, and Dean struggled. He pushes her against the wall. She drops the knife. Dean kicks it away.

- Ben, knife! -Sam called him, seeing the opportunity, as Ben was really close to it now. Lisa pushes Dean. Ben picks up the knife.

- What's the matter, Dean? Hit me! Oh, you don't wanna hurt poor Lisa. – She laughs

Dean begins a Latin exorcism. Ben retreated to the stairs where Sam received him. He shields Ben and keeps pointing at Lisa.

-Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus…-

- Shut your mouth.- Lisa shouts and lounges at Dean, but Abaddon jumps in again and paralyzes her. Dean continues the exorcism. Lisa struggles to breathe. She groans in pain.

- Stop it.- demanded Demon/Lisa, her voice crackling in nasty sounds. - I'm warning you.- she roars and, using all her power, manages to overcome Abaddon. She jumps immediately at Dean and chokes him. The two of them struggled, but a demon is always more powerful than a ghost and even more powerful than a human. In seconds, she had Dean against a wall and was choking him.

- You can go to hell, you black-eyed bitch.- said Sam as he connected a hit to Lisa's head. The demon let go of Dean. He catches his breath. Lisa stumbles to the table and grabs a straight razor.

- You sure about that? – Lisa stabs herself in the stomach.

- Mom!- shouts Ben in panic.

Lisa laughs. - Exorcise me now. She's just a dead meat suit. Now what was it you wanted to say?- laughed the demon victorious.

Dean pauses and looks at Ben. Ben understands and nods. Dean continues - Securi tibi facias libertate…- Lisa starts to bleed from the mouth - servire te rogamus, audi nos…-

Lisa screams as the demon is expelled from her body. She falls to the ground.

- Mom!- cried Ben, running at her and dropping to his knees beside her.

- Lisa!- calls Dean and rushes to tend her wound. Sam isright behind.

- Lisa. Here, put pressure on that, okay? -He gives her a cloth and puts her hand over the wound. She moans in pain.- I know, honey, I know. We need to go now- urged Dean. Sam helps Dean secure the wound quickly using first aid from the bag. He then stands and moves out back to the door.

-Alright, Ben, we gotta get her out of here, okay? Ben. Ben?- Ben is frozen with fear, his eyes staring at his mom's blood dripping from her shirt. - Ben.- Dean slaps him. - Hey! Listen to me. I need you to pull it together, okay? You gotta be strong. Your mom needs you right now. Go open that duffel bag, grab the salt gun. I gotta carry your mom out, so if anything comes at us, you got to help Sam.

- But – the child tries to protest. After all, he had such little experience, next to nothing, to say the least.

-Go, now!- Dean shouted to the trembling boy. He did as Dean said and fumbled through the bag until he found the shotgun.

-How unfair of you- Dean heard Abaddon's voice at his back -You teach him nothing, and yet you expect him to rise up to the occasion…-

-Not now, please…- muttered Dean

-Dean! Is Aby still with us? I can hear them coming…- Sam called. He discharged his gun twice. -There are too many of them, we need to go now!-

-She is down here!- shouted Dean back.

-Okay, child, peel your eyes because this is a master class in demon hunting 101…- Dean turns at Ben, who just happened to speak with Abaddon's voice.

-What are you doing!- tried Dean to protest, but the next thing was the child putting the bag as a backpack, taking Ruby's knife and securing it in his belt like a seasoned soldier, charging the gun and running past Dean, up the stairs to join Sam.

Dean picks Lisa up, she groans.

-Sam left!- ordered Abaddon/Ben. Two demons were approaching from the left, and two others from the right. Abaddon/Ben takes down the ones on her side, and Sam does too.

-Follow me!- Abaddon/Ben says and moves down the right corridor. Dean joins Sam at the door.

-That's Aby, right?- Sam asked him.

-Follow the child, Sam…we follow the child…- said Dean, moving quickly behind and Sam following behind.

At every turn, more and more demons come to meet them. Ammunition is running low.

-Where are we going!- shouted Dean. The brothers recognized they were not going the same way they had come in.

Abaddon/Ben kicks a nearby door and enters an empty office room. -All of you, get behind me!- Abaddon/Ben ordered it, and they did so. The boy slams the bag on the floor and quickly pulls out the salt container. He takes a pinch of salt. They can hear a hoard of demons coming.

-What are you doing?- Dean demanded. The office was completely bared. It had a panoramic view of a beautiful free-fall second floor. There is no other way to go; it's the end of the road.

-This was a trap, Dean; I hope you at least recognized that much. The way we came was sealed away the moment we stepped in. This was Crowley's idea to get rid of you both without Castiel's intervention. A tomb ready, sealed away from any angel help, but you have a wild card. I am not an angel…at least not now…-

Abaddon/Ben blows into the pinch of salt he is holding between his thumb and his heart fingers, and the whole room air is covered in white dust, becoming a minefield of salt. The demons poured into the room, but as soon as they touched the salt in the air, floor, and walls, they burst into flames. The whole room catches on fire very quickly.

Abaddon/Ben uses her other hand to create a gush of air that breaks the panoramic windows. The air comes in, making the flames rage even more. The fire surrounds them quickly.

-Got to handed to demons not to do their job thoroughly – laughed Abaddon/Ben -This room is clear now from any angel proofing…Call Castiel!- Abaddon/Ben urged Dean.

-What! No…- he protested

-If you don't, not only will Lisa die…, but you all will…This is all I…can…do…- Ben vanished. Sam ran to him and carried him to Dean.

-Castiel please…help…- called Sam.

Dean looks around. The door was now blocked because of the fire, and not even the demons could come in. The windows were open, but it was a straight jump from a second floor with a child and an injured woman. He sees Lisa half vanished in his arms, her blood making a puddle at his feet. Dean closed his eyes – Please, Cas…please…- he murmured.

Sam sees Castiel emerge from the flames; he doesn't need an explanation; he quickly approaches them and transports them out of there.

They are back at Bobby's house. Castiel didn't wait for any cue; he put his hand on Lisa's forehead.

-She's fine now. She'll wake soon. Dean, I said I'm sorry, and I meant it.- Castiel steps back. Dean walks to the cough and lays Lisa down carefully.

- Thank you. I wish this changed anything.- Dean replied in a raspy voice. Sam moved and put the child down next to his mother. He could not say anything. He looked back at Castiel with sadness.

Castiel starts to walk away.

- There's one more thing you could do for me.- Dean called. Castiel turned around. Sam looked at Dean, intrigued.

It was very early in the morning when Dean and Sam walked out from Lisas's house, down the stairs, and across the street to the Impala. They were both very silent. Dean gets in the car. Sam clears his throat and gets in the car as well. He sighs - Dean, you know, you've pulled some shady crap before, but this… - Sam shakes his head - has got to be the worst. -Sam scoffs -Whitewashing their memories? Take it from somebody who knows… -

-Is YOU and Abaddon together! Why don't the both of you get married and get off my case…- exploded Dean - If you ever mention Lisa and Ben to me, I will break your nose.-

- Dean...-

- I'm not kidding.-

-Give me your hand…-

-SHE IS NOT HERE- Dean shouted. Sam is about to protest, but Dean looks at him, and he sees the tears in Dean's eyes, so he nods. Sam closes his door, and they drive off.

Meanwhile, that night, Dr Visyak was leaving her cabin. She had already relocated to another safe house by now. She walks to her car, presses the remote control to start it, and reaches for the door handle. Castiel appears behind her. She sees his reflection in the window and turns around to face him. He puts his hand on her shoulder and teleports them both away.
