Chapter 2: Tough customer's

Josiah was walking down the street, a package of meat under his arm, and a piece of paper in his hand. He was four foot seven, he wore a navy blue button-up shirt, brown pants, and black sandals. His hair is black with white highlights and in dreadlocks, he has his hair tied in a ponytail just like his mother.

He was making a delivery for his dad since his employee, Mason, called in sick. They only got the name of the place that ordered the meat, The Devil's Best Bar.

"Where the heck is this place?" Josiah thought allowed in frustration. He saw an old man and decided to ask him for directions. He got his answer, but it wasn't what he expected.

"It just had to be in this part of town." The bar was in the bad part of the town, and Josiah hated it because he had an uneasy feeling in his stomach since he got there.

He eventually found the Devil's Nest. At the entrance stood a large man Roa. He was still smaller than His dad, Sig, wore an old green military uniform, and carried a big hammer. He had short gray hair and mutton chops.

Josiah approached the man with caution. Roa looked down to child that just walked up to him. "You need something kid?" Roa asked. Josiah cleared his throat and puffed out his chest in false confidence.

"I have delivery from Curtis meats for a Mr. Avarice, is he here?" Josiah said in a 'I'm not scared' tone. Roa raised an eyebrow at the boy. "Thanks kid, I'll take it." Roa said, holding his hand out for the meat. Josiah held the package back and shook his head.

"Sorry sir, but I need to hand this to the person who ordered it." Josiah said, narrowing g his eyes. "Trust me kid it'll be fine now hand it over." Roa said, frustration leaking into his tone. The two then stare at each other for a few moments.

Inside the Devil's Nest, a cloud of smoke is floating overhead, everyone was living their best lives, drinking, smoking, anything they wanted.

In the back, there was a man with short spikey brown hair. He's wearing a skintight black shirt, a black leather vest with a white fur collar, black leather panther, black leather boots, and black round sunglasses. This was Greed, the owner of the bar. He smirked, showing off his sharp teeth, while sitting three different beautiful women sat around his.

All of the sudden, a crash shook the front door. Greed looked over to his bodyguard, Dolcetto. He's a short man with short spikey black hair, wearing a white karate gi top, black wushu pants, and brown boots.

"Hey, Dolcetto, go see what's going on." The man ordered. Dolcetto nodded, he grabbed his Katana and headed for the door. Just as he was about to open the door, it flew open sending him flying back into a table.

Everyone in the bar was shocked. Just then, Roa stumbled in, his underwear stretched over his head, and a kid gripping onto his shirt and punching in the part of his face that was still visible.

"CALL ME A BRAT AGAIN! SAY IT AGAIN! I DARE YOU!" Josiah shouted as he was beating on the much larger man.

Greed's sunglasses fell past his nose, but were still on his face as he watched this. The show continued for a few minutes until a blonde woman grabbed the back of Josiah's shirt and pulling him off of Roa. Roa fell on his butt trying to get his underwear off of his head while Josiah still trying to attack him.

"Hey kid, calm down!" the woman shouted in Josiah's ear making him stop struggling and wince in pain

The woman was average height with buzz cut blonde hair, she had a dark pink tattoo on her right shoulder that reached up to her cheek. She wore a black tank top T-shirt with a knife strapped to her left shoulder, army green baggy pants, and black boots. This is Martel.

She let the kid down as he rubbed the ear she screamed in. When Josiah looked back up he saw that he was surrounded by five people, including the bouncer he just beat up, the lady who screamed in his ear, and the guy with sharp teeth and sunglasses.

"Whatcha doing here kid?" a small, bald man in a green poncho with large scales all over his body said as he got in Josiah's face. "Back off Bido, he's just a kid." Dolcetto said, getting the man to back off.

Greed then crouched down Infront of the kid. "Alright kid, why are you here beating up on my guys?" Greed asked. Josiah gulp, but didn't lose his composer. He pulled out the note the had the order information and showed it to Greed. "I have a delivery for Mr. Avarice from Curtis Meats."

Greed took the note and stood up, he took a moment to read it before he looked back at the kid on the ground. "Then why did you attack my guard?" Greed asked.

"He would let me Come in here to get the guy to sign for it, then get called me a brat!" Josiah explained, glaring at Roa at the end.

Greed looked to Roa and punched him over top his head. "What the hell, do you wanna get us banned from the last butcher shop in town?!" Greed shouted, scolding Roa.

"Sorry boss, but he is a kid and this is a bar, it just didn't feel right to just let him in." Roa said, rubbing the top of his head where greed had hit him.

"So, where the meat?" Martel asked. Josiah turned to her, after he got a good look at her he turned away with a light blush and held out the wrapped up meat.

"H-here." Josiah said, still avoiding eye contact with the woman. This made Martel raise an eyebrow.

Dolcetto took the package of meat and help the kid back up to his feet. "Alright kid, take this and go. Let's just forget what happened today?" Greed said and handed Josiah a small wad of cash for the meat.

"The people here do like to have good meat, so be sure to bring us more next time, okay?" Martel said with a small smile, petting Josiah's head, and making Josiah blush even harder. The others laughed at this. After Josiah left, Greed and his friends went back to relaxing in the bar after cleaning up the mess from earlier.

On his way home, the eight year old alchemist thought about the group of people he met and wondered if he'd see them again. His thoughts then drifted to the woman with the tattoo, he bushed at the thought and shook away thought.

"Mason better be back tomorrow or I'll make him wish he got more than a fever." He mumbled to himself as he saw his home in the distance.
