Vi dodged left, narrowly avoiding the incoming punch. With a step forward and twist of her hips she punished the overextension, though not as harshly as she would have liked as her opponent brought up their guard in time to absorb most of the blow.

But Vi was Vi and such an impact left a mark.

The brawler surged forward, smelling blood and launched a series of quick jabs to try and capitalize on the moment of opportunity.

Any lesser opponent would have flagged, unable to deal with such an aggressive rain of fists and elbows.

Not this one though.

Befitting the holder of the heavyweight championship title, Sevika did not quail under even such a fierce assault.

But nor could she exploit it.

The older fighter was forced back until her back hit rope and suffered a few more blows before the referee could interpose herself between them, blowing a piercing whistle which was shortly followed by a ringing bell.

"And that's round six ladies and gentlemen!" The announcer shouted as he jumped from his seat, "Round six of this absolutely stunning fight between Iron Queen Sevika and the rising star Violet "Vault Breaker" Marrani! What a match! Have you ever seen anything like it Krast?!"

"Absolutely not Bolero!" His fellow announcer responded, "A fight like this comes only once a century! The old Iron Queen who has defended her championship title for seven years running is facing the fastest rising star in Zaun's League of Legends! A true Contender Bout the likes of which Zaun's Glimmerstar Arena has never seen!"

Sat on the blue corner, Vi took the opportunity to breathe as Vander poured cool, refreshing water over her sweat-drenched face.

"You did good champ!" Vander said with excitement, "Keep up the aggression and put her in her paces. Sevika's old now, she won't have much left in the tank."

Vi nodded wordlessly.

"But this will be where she's most dangerous." Silco said as he came up and handed Vander a bottle of water, "Be careful Vi, and keep your guard up. She's felled many an opponent who thought she was too tired for her left hand."

"Mhmm." Vi grunted, "I thought the same."

The fighter felt a big hand on her head that gently turned her attention to a point in the crowd, the front seats specifically.

"Vi! Vi! Vi! Vi!"

Vi laughed, feeling her heart warm.

Powder was there with the most ridiculous looking giant foam hand that must have been custom made because she doubted anyone sold anything like it.

Or at least, anyone who didn't want Sevika on their bad side as on the hand was her cartoonish face being beaten by an equally cartoonish Vi, all drawn with the most eye-catching colours one could imagine.

Next to her sister, and with not much less ridiculous paraphernalia, was her mother with (of all things) a vuvuzela which she was blowing with great energy and enthusiasm as she cheered her daughter's name.

Thankfully, her father remained the only reasonable one in their family and simply held a small flag with 'Go Vi!' written on it, which he was happily waving.

Soon enough, she heard the bell ring.

"It's time champ." Vander patted her shoulder as she stood. "Go show them what you're made of."

Vi put her fists together as, opposite her, Sevika did the same.

They met in the middle, fist to fist.

"Last chance Vault Breaker," Sevika said with a fierce, grinning snarl. "Think of your family, they won't be happy seeing you laid out on a stretcher."

Vi laughed. "Thanks for the worry, but no need. Gonna need you to hold up your end of the deal though."

Sevika raised her brows, "Oh? I made a deal?"

Vi grinned, "Yeah, didn't you read? You were gonna let me autograph your cast after the fight."

Sevika narrowed her brows, then jabbed at her.

Vi danced back with a laugh.

The crowd let out a cheer.

Powder put on the last finishing touches to her most recent invention slash science project slash last practical exam of her second university term.

"Aaaand…viola!"

Her new machine danced beautifully under the light, bands of intricately worked brass spinning around a lightly glowing hex-crystal. At the base was an analogue readout with dials and gears, embedded gemstones acting as decorative highlights and practical indicators at the same time.

It's beautiful!

She sat back and, for the first time in weeks, relaxed.

"Whatcha' workin' on." Vi said over her shoulder with a mouthful of chewing gum.

"Ahhhh!" Powder screamed, limbs flailing in every direction. Notably, this included her knees which met the underside of her desk which caused everything on top of it to jump.

Including the highly sensitive hex-crystal container-regulator trial #22.

(It was a month-long practical where it was expected you cram in three months worth of work, the name of the damn thing was not on the priority list)

Powder watched with horrified eyes as her newest invention took to the air. Time seemed to slow and she felt incredibly sluggish even as she willed her arms to stretch out and catch the device.

But Vi was quicker, the older sister snatching the thing mid-air to have a closer look.

"Oh neat. It's shiny."

Powder crumpled to the floor.

"VIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!"

"...That's my name, yes?"

With a grumbling face Powder turned over and pointed at her sister. "You do this on purpose."

Vi looked around, seemingly perplexed. "What? Me?"

Powder glared, "Yes you, you big oaf! How are you so sneaky!?"

Vi shrugged, looking at the hex-crystal container-regulator trial #22. "This is neat. What is it?"

Powder groaned.

"Use your words Pow."

"...I hate you. I hate everything about you. You are the architect of my discontent."

Vi blew a bubble, "Love you too. Now, you actually wanted me for something or what?"

"Ughhh…." Powder gave a truly olympian groan that would have rated highly with all judges. "Get your good jacket on, and your trousers. We're going to campus, I need to hand this in."

If skeptical looking was a sport, Vi would have rated very highly. "Riiiight. You need me for that?"

Powder, still on the ground, waved generally towards one side of her room. "I need to bring all the stuff I borrowed back."

Vi assessed the stacks of boxes, barrels and bags filled with materials of all kinds and coming in at all sorts of sizes.

A little worryingly, about a third of them had some form of hazard labelling.

"Ah. Figured."

"Ms Young!" Powder waved to the older woman.

"Ah, Powder!" Sara Young waved back, then looked over her student's shoulder to see a muscular redhead that was highly likely to be Powder's famed sister drag along a cart full of containers. "And Miss Violet as well, what a pleasure."

Vi tapped two fingers to her temple and gave her a wink.

Before Sara could react to that, Powder held out her hand and revealed the thing she had been carefully cradling.

Sara's eyes widened behind her glasses. "Oh my!"

With a proud grin and an entirely too formal bearing, Powder began her proclamation. "I have come to officially report my progress on the project preliminarily titled 'Controlling the Future: Methods of harnessing hex-crystals for the development and benefit of all people."

All around them were other students in the courtyard, who were in witness to Powder Marrani's announcement.

Some scoffed, turning away to mutter or converse with their fellows with unkind words bandied about. Others merely glanced and did little else. Others didn't even hear.

Most, however, rolled their eyes.

"We get it Powder." A student said, a blonde woman that looked just older than Powder. "Blah blah blah, you're a super genius. Please move along-"

"Oh shit that's Vi! Vault Breaker!" Another student said, excitedly pointing at Vi who lifted a finger to point at herself.

More than a few heads lifted up to look.

Almost none of them turned back to whatever they had been doing.

Sara saw Powder grin.

Oh no.

The bluenette handed her the gently glowing hex crystal container.

Oh yes.

"Ms Young, I would love it if we could examine this latest model in your very fancy laboratory." Powder said with all the innocence of a grinning cheshire cat, "You know, the one with allll the fancy gadgets and monitoring equipment and-"

Sara, fighting her crying heart, closed her hands over the device and moved to return it. "Ms Marrani," Sara said, attempting to bring up her authoritative voice even while her inner conscience (that looked too much like a gilded PhD certificate) vehemently objected. "You are well aware that I have a seminar in short order, one that YOU are in I might add."

"Hey Vi," Powder shouted suddenly.

"What?"

"You're on your rest period yeah?"

"Yeah?"

"So you wont be training be training for the next few weeks?"

"Yes, yeah. You know this, why are you-"

"Oh my," The blonde student interrupted, seemingly crossing ten feet in an instant as she appeared by Vi's side, "So Violette, you're saying you're free tonight?"

"Uh-"

"Back off Lily, you got coursework to hand in tomorrow." Another student interposed himself between Vi and the blonde, doing his best to ward the latter away while addressing the former. "Violet, I'm such a big fan! My friend works at a movie theater, I was gonna go watch Gangs of Zaun-"

"Vi, can I get an autograph!"

"Vault Breaker! Do a pose, show us those championship weapons!"

"Get your sweaty hand off my face, Miller! Vi, I got tickets to KDA!"

"Vi!"

"Violet!"

"Champion! Champion! Champion!"

Sara could only watch in bemused shock as the surrounding student body, which included nearly all of her next class, suddenly found something -someone- far more important to pay attention to.

"So…" Powder said as she slid up next to her and gently took her arm to guide her towards Sara's own lab. "Now that we have time, I was wondering what you made of rings number four and eight, I think they might need some adjustment…"

"You whored me out."

Powder coughed mid gulp, which was not conducive to her continued breathing and her throat let her know it as she continued coughing.

"Vi…" The younger sister took a moment to get in a few gasps of delicious air.

Vi appeared in front of her, standing across her lab table, arms crossed and angry.

"They mobbed me. Students. YOUR classmates. YOUR Nerd Patrol." Vi said each word like it was a weighty accusation.

Powder struggled to contain her choking again.

"I can't believe it." Vi shook her head despairingly. "My sister's a pimp."

Powder gave up and put her face on the table, scattering a few sheafs of paper and causing a few beakers to shake.

If Vi heard the very obvious fit of laughter that had Powder in stitches, she did not show it.

"How much Pow? How much was I worth?"

Powder slammed a fist on the table, raised herself up as she sucked in a great gulp of air, then held her breath as she stared at her sister.

Vi slowly leaned in, then blew air into Powder's face.

Powder let her breath go.

"Bleh." Vi waved the breath away. "You need to brush."

Powder stuck her tongue out. "I do!"

"Doesn't smell like it…"

"Pfffff." Powder blew a raspberry.

"You're eighteen years old, grow up."

"PFFFFFFF."

Vi slapped her with a stack of papers.

"Ow!"

"Don't spit at me."

"Don't be mean to me."

"I wasn't, I was being sisterly and giving you life advice."

"I repeat, don't be mean to me."

"...Excuse me?"

Both sisters jumped a little and turned towards the door.

Powder's expression shifted from surprised to suspicious in the snap of a finger.

Vi's expression turned from surprised to pleasantly surprised.

"Ahem." Caitlyn Kiramman cleared her throat, "Hello there, I was-"

"What do you want?" Powder cut in, turning on her stool.

Caitlyn's eyes narrowed a little at the younger woman, "Professor Jayce expressed great interest in your project, Miss Marrani. He is with Professor Viktor, I just came by to let you-"

"Not interested!" Powder held her hand up and motioned Caitlyn away. "You can go now."

Vi, having rounded the table, brought Powder's arm down much to the girl's annoyance as she growled at her elder sister with clenched teeth.

"Powder! Don't be rude!"

Caitlyn smiled.

It was a rather vicious smile, all things considered.

Vi smiled at the well-dressed cadet. "I'm sorry for her, she's not housebroken. Im-"

"-Violet Marrani, heavyweight champion of Zaun's League of Legends, former fastest rising star in the League and pupil of the famed Vander."

Vi quirked her brows, expression impressed and curious.

Powder growled.

Caitlyn stepped up to Vi, striding with purpose. "I am…a big fan. I have tried to get your sister to introduce me…"

Vi snapped to Powder, "You never mentioned this!"

"I have never seen this woman in my life." Powder said quickly, "Never met her, never seen her-"

"-Im Caitlyn Kiramman, in that case." Caitlyn cut her off, then she extended her hand, "It is my great pleasure to make your acquaintance, Violet."

Vi slowly took the offered hand and shook it, meeting Caitlyn's eyes.

Neither were particularly inclined to let go.

"I have watched all your matches. You are…a fine fighter." Caitlyn said, eyes quickly tracing Vi's arms, "It would be a great delight to…see how you prepare. You always seem so carefree, yet so motivated. I have never seen anyone have such a smile as you when they are in the ring."

"Oh." Vi felt the heat on her cheeks that reached her ears. "Well, if you want-"

"No she doesn't!" Powder cut in, quite literally as she brought her arm down to separate both women. "Vi's busy, lots of training, no time to meet anyone."

Caitlyn's eye twitched, "I heard that you were on break-"

"You heard wrong!" Powder shouted as she wrapped her arms around Vi and dragged her sister towards the exit. "Busy busy busy. Like you. You need to be busy. Get on busy out of here."

"I merely wanted to-"

"Byeeeeeeee!" Powder's voice trailed off as she left the room and went down the corridor outside, an amused Vi in tow.

Caitlyn let out a long suffering sigh, then raised a brow when she noticed something on the doorframe.

A single glove, fingerless with brass buckles and modest decoration.

Inside, a maker's tag.

Caitlyn smirked.

"Pow, slow down." Vi called out.

"No."

"Powder…"

"No."

"Pow, you're heading-"

"No."

"Look ahead!"

"N-Ouch!"

With a clang that made Vi wince, Powder met a light pole with her face.

Vi sighed and jogged to catch up, pulling Powder closer to inspect the damage.

"You okay?"

"..."

"That sounded like it hurt…"

"..."

"Pow, I cant speak silent."

"..."

Vi rolled her eyes and sighed.

Then she brought Powder in for an embrace and a kiss on the forehead.

"...Mhhmh…"

"Hm?" Vi pulled away slightly.

"Thanks…" Powder muttered, eyes looking down.

Vi planted another soft kiss on her forehead, where there was a very noticeable red line on Powder's pale skin.

"What's bothering you? That woman gave you any trouble?"

Reluctantly, Powder shook her head.

"Huh. You must have known her, the way you acted."

Powder shrugged.

"Not too well then. Just someone who kept asking about me?"

Powder tilted her head side to side.

"A little bit?"

Powder nodded.

"That annoyed you?"

Powder nodded.

"But she didn't do anything bad to you?"

Powder grumbled, but she did not move her head.

"Pow, what's all this about?"

The younger sister sighed, then planted her head on the elder's shoulder. "She's a Piltie."

"...So? You have Piltie classmates, you literally go to a Piltie university. Hell, your Nerd Patrol friends are all Piltie."

"...She's rich."

"She's a Kiramman Powder, of course she's rich. Her family owns shares in the mine mom runs, remember?"

Powder gripped Vi's vest, "You know her?!"

The eldest shook her head with a roll of her eyes, "Just recognised the name Pow, never met any of them. Think mom and dad met with her mom though. I remember they said they liked her."

Powder's brow furrowed, "What?"

Vi shrugged, "Beats me. I think mom did say she was one of the good ones. Cait's mom, not Cait. Never met Cait."

"Caitlyn," Powder grumbled into Vi's chest. "Don't be so familiar…"

Vi laughed and rubbed the back of Powder's head. "Sure, sure. So, wanna tell me why she's got your panties all twisted?"

Powder stuck her tongue out, "First of all, ew. Second, she does not…"

"...Third?" Vi prompted after a moment of silence.

"...I knew you'd like her." Powder whispered.

Vi brought her in a little tighter. "How so?"

Powder glared up at Vi.

Vi looked away with a small laugh, "Sorry. Still, if she hasn't done anything wrong to you…"

"SHE WILL!"

The shout was unexpected and drew some attention from the people nearby, though they quickly went back to their business as Vi waved apologetically.

"...How do you figure?" Vi asked softly.

Powder wrapped her arms around Vi's chest and held on tight. "She'll take you away…" She mumbled into Vi's vest.

"Really? You pimped me out Powder if you were worried someone-"

"-They weren't Caitlyn Kiramman."

"...Pow," Vi said after a few moments, "You seem to know a lot about Caitlyn…"

Powder suddenly let go, spun around and started walking. "Right, we need to get some shopping mom said she was wanted to make-"

Vi's solid hold on her shoulder stopped her dead. "Powder, my dearest sister," Vi spoke in hushed tones, suddenly very aware that, while they were in a quiet residential area, they were still very much in public. "Were you maybe…spying on the daughter of a Councilwoman?!"

Powder said nothing for a moment.

"Mom said-"

"POWDER!"

Felicia shuddered.

Connel looked up from the ledger he was examining, "You okay dear?"

"...One of them did something."

She got a raised brow in reply. "...Meaning?"

Felicia narrowed her eyes and looked out one of the windows in her office in the Last Drop.

The one that faced Piltover.

"Which one…" She muttered.

Connel sighed, turning his attention back to the ledger, though he did so with a roll of his eyes and a small smile on his face.

Just a fluffy little slice of life going off the premise that NOTHING AT ALL BAD HAPPENED TO THIS HAPPY FAMILY.

NOTHING.

I haven't watched S2 Act 3 yet, but the ending of episode 6 is soooo reminiscent of 70% of Season 1 concerning Jinx and Vi, where they reunite only for something heartbreaking to happen and they are sundered once more and man I need to prepare for that pain.

So this is pre-copium.
