So um.. I'm posting the other chapters!
Yep, and why is that?
...So people can't complain when I don't post for a long time once I lose motivation?
No, you just want to catch up with LegendEmperess' 3,000 word chapter she posted.
Whaaaaat? I would neeeeveeerr!
Uh huh, Sure you wouldn't.
"We made it!" Jesse shouted.
"Making it is relevant," Soren said.
We all fight the mobs. Jesse and Soren talk about something, but I'm too distracted to hear. Suddenly, iron golems spawn.
"That DID turn out to be pretty cool!" Jesse exclaimed.
"Hah, I wouldn't lie to you, Jesse!" Soren beamed. "..Oh no, wait a minute, I would. I DIDN'T lie to you, that's what I meant."
I snorted and followed them out.
"Did you guys hear that?" Asked Axel.
"Hear what?" Jesse inquired back.
"All that stuff whispering. Take me, take me now."
Olivia joins in, "I think it's saying Olivia should get to take more than Axel! But why? Because she's cooler! "
"Aw, c'mon, loot. I thought you and me were tight!
"I know this is cool, but the only things we need in here we need are the ingredients for the Formidi-bomb," Jesse reasoned.
"You're no fun," I muttered under my breath.
Axel glared at him. "The loot says you're wrong!" He grumbled.
"I'll just fetch the super TNT," Soren said toward Jesse. "It's right up… there!" Soren climbs the iron golems dramatically and pulls out the super TNT. "Oh, and feel free to help yourselves!"
'Don't need to tell me twice!'
I ran over to some chests and found a bunch of iron. 'I wonder..'
"What?" Whisper asked.
'Oh, nothing..'
I walk over to a crafting table and make a set of iron armor. 'I hope Soren won't need that, heh.'
"You made armor? How come?"
'You'll see!'
Suddenly, I got a terrible headache.
"Zenna, are you alright?"
"Momma?"
"Wow, didn't know you had a kid," The redhead joked.
"She isn't mine," The lady snapped back.
"Then who's child is she?" The third asked.
"She's just some kid I found wandering in my town alone."
"Ah, so you adopted it off the streets!" The redhead snickered.
"I'm. Not. Her. Mom."
"Then who are you to her?" The third inquired.
"I am her new caretaker."
"Wow, you can't just claim the thing," The redhead muttered.
"I can and will," She spat. "I have taken her in as an apprentice."
"How come?" The third asked.
"Nona has chosen the girl to be her champion once she matures. As a resident of my town, she is my responsibility. So, I will care for her until she is ready."
"Hey, it's your decision, not mine," The redhead starts. "Just don't expect me not to say I told you so when it becomes too much to handle."
"Oh trust me, I'll be fine. She's just a mere kid, after all."
"And if you get attached?" Asked the third.
"I won't. Besides, it's not like she'll have to leave. She can live near here if she wishes to stay."
"But once she's a champion, everything will be different for her. It induces people to act appallingly."
"He's right. You know as well as I do how the human race is." The redhead retorted.
"I'll teach her to be humble. It's not as hard as you think."
"..Whatever you say." The redhead replied.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I say. The vision was longer than the other ones I had seen, but I remembered it as clearly as day. My headache eventually wore off, and I continued looting.
Sadly, I didn't find anything else that I wanted to loot. At least I had found the iron.
"Hey, Soren?" Jesse called out.
"Jesse!" Soren shouted back.
"I think I've almost got enough gunpowder now!"
"Glad to hear it! And Jesse, I'm sorry for not keeping this place as organized as I should. It's very embarrassing."
I wanted to laugh at that, but it was obvious he wasn't joking, so I kept my mouth shut.
"And this is my Super TNT," Chirped Soren. (Tweet tweet)
"Wait, but I thought Super TNT WAS the Formidi-bomb?" Olivia questioned.
"Ack- of course not! They're two completely different words, aren't they?" Retaliated Soren.
"Let's build us a Formidi-bomb!" Jesse exclaimed.
"Yes, let's! Build away!"
"Um.. how do we build us a Formidi-bomb, exactly? Do we just combine this with the gunpowder we collected?.."
"Well, the crafting recipe is quite simple, really. Super TNT in the middle, and gunpowder all around."
"Got it!"
Jesse reached for the Super TNT, but Soren pulled it away.
"No! No, no, no! The ingredients are highly unstable, even putting them in close proximity to each other is a risk!"
"Okay, well, we may not have the Formidi-bomb yet, but at least we finally have the ingredients to build one. Progress!"
"And now that we have them, we.. Ahem, we…" Soren stared at Jesse expectantly. "I literally don't remember. You're going to have to help me out a little, Jesse."
Before Jesse could say anything, we heard a noise. Soren turned to see an enderman and immediately covered his eyes, as did the rest of us.
"Oh, oh dear.. I was afraid of this. With the End underwater, the endermen will try to escape. To the minecarts, everyone!"
We all fled toward the minecarts and began to hop into them.
"..I've been waiting to say that. To people, I mean."
Jesse and Reuben got in the same minecart so I'd have one. The minecarts flew along the tracks. The minecarts crashed into a creeper and derailed.
"There you are!" Yelled Ellegaard.
"So glad you could make it! Hah, could've used you earlier, heheh.." Shouted Magnus.
"I'm glad you're okay," Jesse said to them.
"This looks like okay to you?!"
"I thought Ivor was coming to get you!"
"Ivor?" Questioned Ellegaard. "We haven't even seen him!"
A creeper rushed towards the three of them and they just barely dodged it.
"Uh, what's going on?" Asked Lukas.
"You don't have to worry about the monsters, they're running away! ..Worry about what they're running away from." Soren shouted.
"I feel like that got bigger.." Axel mumbled.
"It did." Olivia groaned.
Ellegaard, Magnus, and Soren have their little reunion, but now's not the time for sentiments.
"It's time to go. We only get one shot at this. Remember, once the Formidi-bomb is crafted, it'll explode in a matter of seconds… It means whoever does the crafting will be in grave danger. I was hoping, well, perhaps we could draw straws?"
Jesse steps up and offers to do it. I sure as heck didn't want to, and I knew he wouldn't die, so what difference does it make?
Before either Magnus or Ellegaard could offer up their armor, I pulled out my set of iron armor and handed it to him.
"Here, take this armor, you'll need it," I said gravely to him.
He nodded and pulled on the armor. We all rush off toward the wither. Jesse went straight towards the wither while I helped the others build. Jesse quickly made the the Formidi-bomb, but the ingredients got sucked up.
Jesse quickly floated up to grab the ingredients. Once he had gotten them all, the wither struck the build we were working on, and guess what?
You guessed it! Not only did Ellegaard and Magnus get hit, but so did I! Aren't I lucky?
I could feel my shoulder dislocate, and dang, it was painful. Unfortunately, I passed out from the pain and didn't get to see Jesse be super cool.
"Momma!"
"Don't call me that."
"...Auntie?"
"Wow, you're persistent. Sure, you can call me auntie."
"Auntie!"
"..What is it, kid?"
The young girl points to the door.
"..You want to go outside?"
The girl nods rapidly.
"Well, I suppose it has been a while.."
The lady got up and opened the door, the child waddling after her. The Lady took the child's hand as they walked outside into the colorful town beyond them.
The beautiful picture changed drastically as the scene warped into a destroyed version of the old world. The child sprinted to the house, throwing the door open to find nobody there.
She ran towards her uncle's home, surely she'd find her there. But as the child ran into the other town, she saw...
I bolted up into a sitting position, which reminded me why I had passed out in the first place.
"Ow!" I felt pain shoot through my body, specifically my dislocated shoulder. I took a deep breath, then swiftly forced my shoulder back into place. I bit back a scream, instead making a muffled shriek.
In my world, you're not supposed to relocate your shoulder without professional help. You might accidently worsen your injury. Luckily, this world works differently.
I got up slowly, making sure I didn't fall. I moved as quickly as I possibly could towards the body of the witherstorm. I saw the others, but I knew Jesse wasn't with them.
I ran between the witherstorm's tentacles, racing towards the center.
"Somebody, help!" Shouted Jesse.
I raced up to him and grabbed his hand, pulling him out of the witherstorm's beam. Of course, that hurt a lot more than I ever wanted to feel.
"Jesse! We've got to go!" I shouted.
We both sprinted away as fast as possible.
'...oh hey, it's the next episode'
"Now's not really the time, Zenna!"
'Oh yeah, it isn't. Almost forgot.'
We rushed over to the others and they ran with us. Soren wanted to go help the endermen, but we forced him over to the horses so he wouldn't get himself killed.
Then I remembered there wasn't a horse for me, nor Ellegaard… no wait, there was a black horse not that far from the other four horses. Me and Ellagaard climbed onto it and followed the others. We hastily dodged the explosions happening around us.
Sadly, the wither destroyed the bridge. While the others rebuilt the bridge, I kept the horses from running off. I couldn't help build the bridge, seeing as I had one foot in the grave and couldn't muster the energy.
Once the bridge was built, we all jumped onto our horses and went across. We finally made it to the cave and took shelter there. Yes, it took a bit to get situated, but it was better than nothing.
I laid on the floor and used my jacket as a pillow. I somehow managed to force myself to fall asleep before anyone could annoy me. Luckily, nothing disturbed my sleep. At least, not until it was the middle of the night and I woke up from a nightmare with enough energy and fear to write an entire horror novel.
I carefully got up and walked outside to see everyone talking about stuff I was too tired to pay attention to. They started grabbing the horses and walking off with Ivor, so I just followed. Eventually they got on the horses and and I got on behind Ellegaard.
It didn't take long for me to fall asleep once more. When I woke up, We were in an ice biome. '..okay then..' I was starving and thirsty.
"How long was I asleep?" I asked.
"Around four days." Ellegaard replied.
"Oh."
'Dang it, I'm at it again…'
"Yep, you always sleep for a super long time."
I reach into my inventory and pull out some food and water. '...Wait, where did I even get this?'
"I gave it to you so you wouldn't die and force me to reload to the last checkpoint."
'Oh, thanks.'
"No problem."
I quickly ate and drank, then went back to sleep. Why? Because I need to heal, and because I'm tired still somehow. This time when I woke up, we were in a swamp.
"..How long this time?" I asked.
"I've honestly lost track," Responded Ellegaard.
'I'm hungry.'
"Well, there's plenty of potatoes, go collect them. As for water, I gave you more."
The others started arguing, then decided we're taking a break. 'Thank goodness..' I got up and started collecting potatoes. After eating several potatoes and drinking some water, I brought the other potatoes back for everyone else.
...Then the witch came out. We all got on the horses and rode off as fast as possible. Then we were at the far lands. 'Wow, that was quick.'
"Yeah, you were asleep for most of it!"
'Yeah, but still.'
I finally zoned into the conversation the others were having.
"It's like we're at the edge of the world!" Olivia gasped.
"Actually, we seem to be at the corner of it," Explained Soren. "Welcome to the Far Lands, my friends."
"I'd feel a lot better about going into this crazy wall thing if I wasn't still hungry," Grumbled Olivia.
"I'd rather be a little hungry than a lot dead." Said Lukas.
"I'd rather be eating cake!"
We kept walking while Soren and Jesse talked. I once again zoned out. 'Why do these people never talk about exciting stuff?'
We eventually walked into the "weird wall thingy" after a ton of blabbering. I then suddenly realized that Axel and Petra went off to distract the witherstorm. 'Huh, forgot that happened.'
We walked into the maze, then some monsters chased us and we climbed up the vines on the walls of the maze. I of course got stuck on Jesse's side. I mostly just followed him around until we eventually found the flying machine.
"Hello, anyone?" Called out Olivia.
Jesse and Olivia talked while I collected the materials in the chest. I crafted what we needed for the flying machine and waited for them to shut up. Eventually, Olivia stopped complaining and figured out how to fix the machine.
I handed Jesse the things and he placed them where they needed to be. Once he fixed the flying machine, I stood there and waited for the others.
'I'll pay attention when we get to Ivor's house thing.'
"No you won't."
'Yeah, you're right. I still won't.'
So anyway, I'm going to have to write more now I guess.
Noooooooo! Let me rest, I'm tired of getting bashed around!
Too bad! Anyway, I put a lot of backstory in this one. But, the second bit of backstory doesn't really do much more then show emotions and stuff that I've already shown in other flashbacks.
Yep, you're putting in backstory bits that don't matter until way later in the story.
I'm sorry, but I need to get them down or else I won't remember them!
Ugh fine. Anyway, bye!
"Bye!"
