How does one write that much?! It was brutal trying to re-write it all in one day...
Also, sorry for basically recycling your chapter, Legend, but it seems that's all we can do to keep things consistent to eachother's stories.
"Come on everyone, let's huddle up in the dining room." Sparklez sighed, walking into the room.
The other YouTubers also came in. Of course, I recognized more people who practically raised me. Stampy, Stacy, Dan, and Lizzy came into the room.
'Wow, how many people practically raised me without knowing it…?'
-A lot.-
'Hush your invisible mouth.'
I silenced the conversation just in time to see Midnight's gleeful expression. She looked as though she had seen her idol. In fact, maybe she had.
'Good to know I'm not the only excited one!'
"I can't wait to hear the big news!" Dan exclaimed, turning his head toward Stacy.
"Me neither!" Stacy replied happily, staring back at him.
"I hope there's cake!"
I both brightened at seeing him, and also became slightly glum.
The conversation they were having.. wow, did it make me want to laugh my lungs into extinction. In fact, now that I think about it, my lungs burned a bit. It was most likely from not breathing enough. Sometimes in my world my ribs would hurt from not breathing enough.
Darn breathing problems that I need to talk to a doctor about, why did you have to follow me into this realm?
The introduction was a bit awkward. Well, there's no point in going on about how long it took for people to just accept it and leave it alone.
"You said there was news? Is it good? Good news?" Asked Dan.
Sparklez answered a few seconds afterward, most likely having to recollect his thoughts. "Ah, yeah. It's, um.. bad news, I'm afraid. TorqueDawg… is dead."
"But TorqueDawg was so tough, there was nothing that could take him done! What happened?"
"These are what got him," Mumbled a Jesse, pulling out the tipped arrow.
"Tipped arrows?"
"Does this mean someone set a trap for TorqueDawg? That's nasty," Said Stacy, crossing her arms.
Dan took a seat, which caused Midnight to eye the table. She must've been looking for a button.
"I can't believe TorqueDawg's gone, just like that!"
"So.. what happened to his stuff…?"
It was a simple question. A simple question that sounded terribly insensitive, and slightly was.
"Whoah, how can you say that?!"
"What? It's a valid question!"
Midnight answered before anyone else (when I say anyone else, I mean the Jesses and only the Jesses) could.
"There was this hopper that opened up, and it fell into it."
"Are we just supposed to take your word for that?" Stampy questioned, sounding a bit accusatory.
"Guys, I saw it too. The Jesses were poking around in TorqueDawg's stuff right before it got sucked up into the hopper."
Wow, that sounded a bit rude. I mean, it's true, but still.
"So I'm looking at this situation, and I'm trying to figure something out. Is this just about TorqueDawg, or is there a bigger picture?" My Lukas asked.
The other Petra joined in, "Yeah, why have our portraits?"
"I dunno guys, knowing TorqueDawg, I think this might just be about him."
"What, you think he deserved it?" Asked Midnight, sounding more curious than accusing.
Well, that sounds pretty harsh, but, uh… I dunno, maybe?"
"Well, someone brought us all here for a reason, including TorqueDawg."
"What if we're all in danger?" Panicked Dan.
"Hey… Come on everyone, if there's one thing I believe in, it's teamwork! If we all stick together, we'll be fine!"
Sparklez stared at him for a bit, possibly trying to muster up some positivity to fool everyone with. Maybe he was trying to make himself believe Jesse's words, even if the attempt was obviously just in vain.
"There you go guys, teamwork makes the dream work!"
It was quite obvious that me and Midnight were holding back laughter. However, Midnight looked much more amused than me. I doubt she took notice of his pause the way I did.
Most likely because what I think is most definitely just me being over-dramatic…
"Wow," Muttered Ivor.
Stampy mumbled, "Ooh, all of this 'danger' talk has my stomach all queezy…"
"Stampy, come over here…"
Stacy grabbed his arm and started dragging him toward the table without thinking about the fact she was most likely overstepping his boundaries.
Next, it was Dan's turn.
"Lizzy… Psst, Lizzy!" He whispered, rivaling Jesse in how loud one can whisper..
Hmm, 'whisper'. That was a pun.
…I should focus now.
Lizzy went over to Dan. So, naturally, Sparklez went along with the murderer and her ghastly fur-ball. What made MY stomach all queezy was the fact he took a seat near his deathbed without even knowing it.
"The more I think about it, the more I think that there's something these people really don't want us to know," My Ivor whispered, doing so properly instead of extremely noisily like Jesse and Dan.
"I say we talk to everyone and gain their trust," Stated Jesse.
Midnight seemed quick to turn it down.
"Good luck with that," She muttered.
She reached over and grabbed my arm, dragging me like Stacy did to Stampy. She sat down at the table. Me, being the pushover I am at times, simply sat beside her without protest. It was obvious she didn't mean to be so aggressive about it, after all.
"I wonder how this happened…"
Her statement caught me off-guard.
"You mean how we're both stuck in this game, or how our groups got mixed up?" I asked, puzzled at her choice of words.
She seemed to stiffen at my question.
"Actually, don't answer that, It'll give me a headache just thinking about it…"
Oh no, was the question rhetorical?
'Crap, I always do this…'
-Yes, yes you do.-
'You've lost speaking privileges, cease your taking.'
-Fine by me. Your obsession with these people is irritating me anyway, so I'll just leave.-
'Wait, what do you mean by leave?'
But no reply came.
"Though, I can't help but wonder how long we've actually been here," Midnight continued.
It seemed as though she was going to say more, but was inturupted by Sparklez calling everyone to gather around the table.
Sparklez at at his usual spot, meanwhile Midnight's Lukas sat beside her.
Wait, is the table bigger than usual? Did Cassie just pull out another table from literally nowhere and connect it to the original?
All of a sudden, my Lukas sat next to me, filling my mind with absolutely nothing but how close he was compared to usual. I was feeling very confused, slightly uncomfortable, and honestly, as much as I hate to admit it (especially after I swore off such feelings during my time in my 'treehut'), a bit flustered. It was an odd feeling in my stomach that I was mostly unused to.
Unfortunately, but also fortunately, my train of thought reeled to a stop. Captain Sparklez spoke up, nullifying my thoughts.
"Whoever killed TorqueDawg, whoever invited us, they're after the enchanted flint and steel-!"
And just like that, he was gone. Dead.
That hurt. It was really a kick straight in the stomach. What made it worse was the fact I didn't have a moment to compose myself like I did with Jesse's companion. The lights had gone out, and the show had begun.
I could hear everyone panicking, but nothing was all that interesting other than Stampy's repeated 'panic!'
One of the Jesses yelled for someone to get the lights, but the lights appeared on their own. A bunch of ghost-white pumpkins hung there as if they didn't break the laws of the game.
"GREETINGS. I, AM THE WHITE PUMPKIN!" The jukebox screamed.
Sparklez's inventory floated up to the surface of the sand and I stared in pure horror. Now I understood how brutally terrible Axel and Olivia would have felt if their idols had died.
"ONE OF YOU HAVE THE TREASURE I DESIRE, AND I WILL NOT REST UNTIL IT IS MINE! EVEN IF I HAVE TO RESORT…"
The lights went off, then on again. A suit on an armor stand was suddenly visible, crammed within a missing chunk of the wall that was once covered in a painting.
"TO MURDER!"
Lightning, thunder, the whole shebang. It merely irritated me more.
"MORE PANICKING, MORE PANICKING!"
"White pumpkin?!"
"I'm too cute to die!"
That disgusting murderer.
And yet, I couldn't bring myself to stand, to walk over to her, nor to punch her straight in the face like I so desperately wanted to. I was frozen there. Or at least, for the time being.
And just like that, the room was back to it was before. Minus one of my idols' grave, of course.
"They killed Sparklez, they killed Sparklez!"
No need to rub it in my face.
Stampy was talking and moving too fast to hear him, so I'm not even going to try and translate him.
"Woah! Hang on, hang on!"
"This is awful! Terrible!"
"Who was that guy?!"
"And there's no such thing as white pumpkins!"
"Tell that to all the white pumpkins hanging all over the place!"
"I don't like it, I really don't like it!"
Finally, I sobered up and focused on not forgetting to breath again.
"I actually saw him in the window when we first got here!"
I choked on a breath, sputtering loudly. Everyone was loud enough not to hear it though.
"You mean he was here the entire time?! I am so getting out of here!"
Why on earth would he tell them that? That was a terrible idea!
I could hear Cassie's shrill screams from all the way over here. That tells you a lot about her vocal range.
"So we're stuck in here, and if we're stuck in here, we're doomed!"
All who stayed within the dinning room all collectively looked through the door into the portrait room.
I'm so tired, and I have stuff due tomorrow... I'm just going to go to sleep. Hopefully late is better than incomplete.
'You know you should do it...'
Please, just let me sleep... also, I'm sorry for missing your birthday.
'It's fine, just... okay, go sleep. I'll be waiting for you in the morning, okay?
Alright, thank you! Bye...!
'Bye!'
