(The Battle with Blaze)
*January 15th, 1907*
Iv Plains*
*One Hour before Betsy woke up*
Dorothy reverted back to her base form as she burst into the door, happy that she moved the rock.
"Guys! I've moved the rock!" Dorothy cried in joy, smiling greatly at her friends while everyone was pleased to hear the news.
"You did?! How wonderful. I knew you could do it. Now the next phase of the mission is to have Rose forge you a sword." Flynn congratulated Dorothy, patting her on the shoulder which made the girl smile.
"Thanks. I wouldn't have done it without you and Keiko, especially Keiko with her teachings." Dorothy responded while Flynn smiled at this, nodding in agreement.
After this, Keiko entered the living room, a proud smile on her face as she walked over to congratulate Dorothy.
"I knew you could do it, and I might have been harsh but I want nothing but the best for you, and trust me, I truly mean that." Keiko congratulated Dorothy while sitting down on the couch.
This was followed by Dorothy and Flynn sitting down on the couch as well, partaking in the victory.
"Oh yeah, Betsy is out getting some fruit while Rose has an errand to run so it's just going to be the three of us for the time being, but I know Rose would be proud of you." Keiko spoke to Dorothy, stretching her legs while doing so, and of course, Dorothy nodded understandably.
"I see, and It's all fine to me. and.." Dorothy responded to Keiko; however, her words were interrupted by the sounds of electricity.
Following this, Dorothy grew quiet along with Flynn and Keiko, the air getting quiet before the silence was interrupted by the sound of Blaze bursting through the roof, smiling at the trio.
"So, you must be Dorothy, Flynn, and Keiko, right? I have orders to dispose of you so be sure to say your prayers!" Blaze spoke to the trio, chuckling in the process while this quickly caused Dorothy and her friends to remain on guard.
During this, Keiko and Flynn quickly grabbed their swords, ready to fight the electric woman.
"So you were sent by Zorya, my sister, right? Just know that we won't allow her to achieve her goal!" Flynn spoke to Blaze, clenching his sword as he was ready to battle with his opponent.
Of course, Blaze shook her head, denying the allegation before speaking once more.
"No, but I was sent by someone whom I work for, but I also work for her as well…" Blaze responded confidently while she got ready to attack, sparks of electricity sparking in her hands.
"We won't let you win. We will defeat you here and now!" Dorothy cried out to Blaze in a motivated tone of voice, transforming into her super form while Keiko and Flynn drew out their swords.
Seeing this made Blaze chuckle with confidence before speaking once more.
"We'll see about that. But let's fight outside, shall we?" Blaze responded in a cocky voice, exiting the cottage through the roof while Dorothy, Flynn, and Keiko followed her.
The beautiful sun shined upon the fighters as they exited the cottage and made their way outside, eager to begin the battle.
"Three against one, huh? More fun for me! Now prepare to die!" Blaze spoke to the gang, cackling madly, wasting time as she charged directly at our heroes.
Soon after, Blaze quickly focused on Dorothy, attempting to deliver a punch; however, Dorothy quickly caught it.
Dorothy and Blaze soon exchanged blows, each punch growing more fiercer by the minute as both opponents ascended in the air.
"Shining Star Buster!" Dorothy cried out while a star-shaped energy attack appeared, and the girl kicked the attack toward Blaze.
The attack rushed toward Blaze with such speed, catching Blaze by surprise.
"She's fast!" Blaze uttered before quickly using her hands to block the attack, destroying it in the process.
"You fool as if that…" Blaze attempted to speak to Dorothy; however, she noticed Keiko appearing from behind her, ready to attack.
Keiko quickly appeared in the air along with Flynn, and she was ready to attack her opponent.
"Flower Petals: Rose Blitz!" Keiko cried out, swinging her sword while it managed to slice Blaze, making her wince in pain.
Following this, Blaze was consumed by roses, the small being too strong for her.
"Heh, they're much stronger than Betsy. This should be fun." Blaze spoke out with a confident voice before preparing another attack.
"JetBlue Burning Blaze!" Blaze cried out, her hair spiking up while she managed to break free from Keiko's attack.
Immediately after this, Blaze quickly flew toward Keiko, using her fists in an attempt to hit her; however, Keiko used her sword to block each hit.
The fierce exchange of blows continued as Blaze's fists connected with Keiko's sword by the second, and during this, Flynn and Dorothy nodded, finding a way to attack her.
"Hurricane Bliz: Beryl Shine!" Flynn cried out, swinging his sword directly at Blaze in hopes of hitting her with the attack, and not just that, Dorothy quickly joined in the fray.
"Gaia Sunlight Flash!" Dorothy cried out, firing an energy attack from the cusp of her hand, hoping to hit Blaze with the attack as well.
The combined attack of Dorothy and Flynn formed into a harrowing gust of wind mixed with bright yellow energy and this came rushing toward Blaze, and it successfully impacted her, making her yelp in surprise.
"Serves you right." Keiko spoke to Blaze in a mocking voice, smirking confidently as the dust slowly settled, Blaze still being in good condition.
"Shut your mouth!" Blaze uttered in annoyance before quickly dashing toward Keiko, preparing another attack for the girl.
"Blazing Blue Electric Blitz!" Blaze cried out once more, her speed becoming much faster as this even caught Keiko off guard, her expression being a surprised one.
Immediately following this, Blaze delivered a punch toward Keiko, making the girl cough up some spit as the impact of the attack forced Keiko to be sent flying back.
Blaze wasted no time in following her opponent as she wanted to continue the assault.
"You see! I'm much faster! You're nothing but an amateur." Blaze insulted Keiko, catching up to her while she delivered a hard and swift kick toward Keiko, causing her to crash on the floor; however, she wasn't done.
"Once the world is turned into darkness, you will be nothing but trash!" Blaze continued to spit at Keiko, going up in the air, preparing for another attack.
Soon after, more sparks of blue electricity formed around Blaze's body, her spiked hair growing more thick.
"Now, be a good girl and die!" Blaze cried out while charging directly at Keiko, whose body was still on the floor and she had every intention of killing her; however!
Keiko slowly rose up, wobbling in pain, her once pigtailed hair falling out, revealing her natural longer hair, her expression being serious.
"Rose Petals: Jasmine Peril.." Keiko uttered in a quiet voice, swinging her sword as a slew of jasmine flowers came rushing toward Blaze.
The attack quickly alerted Blaze as she shielded herself from the upcoming attack.
"What the hell?!" Blaze uttered, bracing herself for the attack.
Soon after, the thorns rush toward Blaze, hitting her in the process as she is slowly being pushed back before finally succumbing to the attack.
Blaze yelped in pain as she was knocked to the ground while Keiko slowly walked toward her.
"Jeez, just shut up already. You're so annoying. Now, tell me where Zorya is!" Keiko asked Blaze in an annoyed voice, pointing her sword at her with a serious look on her face.
Following this, Dorothy and Flynn finally caught up to their friend, standing by her side.
"What's your name? Be honest.." Flynn asked Blaze, pointing his sword at his opponent as well, waiting for an answer while Dorothy remained on guard as well.
After hearing this, Blaze looked up with an annoyed expression on her face.
"My name is Blaze, and I won't be defeated by the likes of you three.." Blaze responded, slowly getting up while putting her fists up, hoping to resume the battle.
"Fine by us, I can't wait to send you back home crying to Zorya or whoever sent you here.." Keiko responded in a cocky voice, preparing herself for battle once more alongside her friends.
Following this, everyone was about to attack; however, this was interrupted by a voice calling to them, it was Rose.
Rose had a bag of groceries in her hand while carrying the unconscious body of Betsy on her shoulder.
"So you must be the punk who destroyed my roof and harmed Betsy, eh? You got some explaining to do!" Rose called out to Blaze in an annoyed voice, pointing at her home that wasn't too far from where everyone was currently.
"So, you must be Rose, right? I've been looking for you, so I'm going to cut straight to the chase, do you happen to have the Sword of Oz.." Blaze asked Rose in a serious voice, hoping to get a straight answer while she turned her full attention over to Rose.
During this, the sight of Betsy's body shocked Dorothy as she ran toward Rose, hoping to know if her friend was okay.
"B-Betsy?! Is she okay?!" Dorothy asked Rose, gently touching the unconscious face of her friend and to her relief, Rose nodded, smiling down at her.
"No worries! She'll be okay! Just knocked out, but don't worry, you take Betsy back and head back to the house." Rose responded to Dorothy in a comforting voice before handing Betsy over to her student.
Soon after, Dorothy sighed in relief as she reverted back to base form while carrying Betsy in her arms, heading straight to the cottage without question.
Once that was done, Rose looked over at Keiko and Flynn, motioning her head over at Dorothy, signaling for the pair to follow her, and they did just that.
"Sword of Oz? Does my sister seek such a powerful sword..the sword that can tear through worlds.." Flynn thought to himself before quickly running over to catch up with Dorothy.
Unknown to them, Enzo watched everything with great interest from afar.
"Alright, let's see if Rose has that sword or not.." Enzo spoke quietly to himself, continuing to watch the ongoing conversation.
*Cottage*
Back in the present, Betsy was amazed at the story she heard from Blaze.
"I-I see, so you came here because you believed Rose was keeping the Sword of Oz, right? But how exactly did you end up in my shoes?" Betsy asked Blaze in a curious voice, eager to know more about the story.
Right when Blaze was going to speak, Rose entered the room, sitting down on a nearby couch.
"I told her that I didn't have such a thing, Blaze got mad and I knocked her down, once I was done, I used my sister's magic tricks to seal her in the shoes, perhaps the one good thing Mombi provided was her book of spells." Rose explained, smirking while Betsy let out a sigh of amusement.
"Wow, so now what? What's next.." Betsy responded, eager to know the next phase of the plan.
"Well, it's time for me to whip you and Dorothy into shape! You'll harness Blaze's powers while Dorothy learns her sword.." Rose responded in a serious voice, getting up from her couch as she walked toward the closet, taking out a sword.
The sword was black and had an imperial look to it.
"Perfect, I just know this sword will choose Dorothy.." Rose thought to herself, smirking at the sword as she had faith that the sword might choose her.
Dorothy and Betsy's training begins!
