A/N Chapters 8 and 12 have been updated to make them fit properly with my "new"ish lore behind how Josh actual;y exists, in chapter 12 its only a minor change. But in chapter 8 its a major change so I suggest re-reading it.
Jeremy was typing at the supercomputer trying to work on Aelita's anti-virus. "Hey Jeremy, take a short break and I will explain how I destabilized that spector the other day." Josh said. "Sure, I have been starting to long at this anyways." Jeremy said, turning on the chair towards Josh. "Recall that spectors are stabilized by an electromagnetic field, well I simply touched the super computer and the spector and used the super computer's processing power to quickly calculate an electromagnetic field with the appropriate strength and configuration to destabilize the spectors." Josh explained. "Even for me that sounds a lot more complicated than you just explained, and how were you able to interface to the supercomputer so easily, it takes a lot of time to even write simple programs on the system." Jeremy replied. "I honestly don't know, just like I don't know how I was able to just touch the scanner and know exactly how to interface to it." Josh stated. "Maybe Xana wasn't lying when he said your program was integrated into Lyoko's core programming." Jeremy stated. "Welp, I am going to keep working, sooner I get Aelita's antivirus done sooner we can get a solution for you." He added going back to working. "I am going to head back to the dorms." Josh said having been there a good bit of the day trying to help Jeremy.
About an hour later Yumi and Ulrich headed to the lab to check up on Jeremy who they hadn't seen for most of the day. Jeremy was running a test on his latest version of the program and ended up failing. "Ugh… Oh, I'm…I'm so darn lame!" Jeremy said to himself annoyed, just before the elevator opened. "Hi, Einstein." Ulrich said, walking over to the computer. "You look awfully down today. What's the problem?" Yumi asked. "I've been spinning my wheels for days now on Aelita's antivirus and trying to decode Franz Hopper's diary! And don't get me started on trying to help Josh work on his program to free himself from the supercomputer." Jeremy said, rubbing his head a bit. "It's just a question of time, I am sure you will figure it out." Yumi said. "You think so? Even with the latest data we got from Sector 5, I haven't moved ahead one micron! What if I'm just…just not good enough?" Jeremy said, sounding defeated. " I am sure of it, you said the same thing about materializing Aelita and you managed to do that." Yumi said, trying to cheer him up. "You're right." Jeremy replied. "Why don't you take your mind off it for a while, tonight Odd is going to be screening his short film, you should come and watch" Ulrich suggested. "Anyone seen any of it?" Jeremy asked. "He wouldn't let us." Yumi replied. "Do we know who's' in it at least?" Jeremy asked, causing Ulrich to shake his head no.
Outside the gym, Milly and Tamiya were interviewing Sissi who was in Odd's short film. "Humbly speaking, I don't think it's unfair to say that this first role will reveal to the entire world…my true star personality." Sissi said. "Can you sum up the story for us in just a few words for the Kadic News?" Milly asked. Sissi tensed up and got really nervous. "Um…! Well…that is, uh…it's a…love story, and at the same time, it's a thriller! With suspense, and of course, it's got a good dose of psychology and…and…and it's very funny! A real comedy! And uh, quite satirical." She replied, stuttering a bit. "So… you have no idea." Milly stated. Sissi looked embarrassed and made up an excuse to leave them.
In the gym, many students were sitting in chairs waiting for the short film to start being shown.
Chardin began speaking while some students kept talking among themselves. "How's it going Odd? No butterflies yet?" Ulrich asked. "No, I-I'm um…I'm cool." Odd replied, sounding totally nervous. "Really? You would never guess." Ulrich said back.
(A.N. If you actually want to watch it, go watch the actual episode, I don't want to just copy paste a large chunk of the show into my story.)
Part way through the short film, Sissi got so mad at Odd for her role that she stood up and unplugged the projector then walked over to Odd. "Odd! You're nothing but a, Nothing but a.." She said, trying to find the word to call him. Meanwhile a spector slowly seeped out of the projector and made its way to Sissi before possessing her. Sissi put a hand to her head before looking up and looking around in surprise. "Bzz…bzz buh…uzuh… Waaauh…ba ba biz…" Sissi began to try and speak, causing the other students to murmur in surprise. "Ba ba iz…zwaaah…" She continued, before walking towards Jeremy and the group. She began speaking strangely, saying something over and over. Delmas walked over to his daughter worried. "Is something wrong, sweetheart?" He asked to which Sissi didn't really respond. "I'll take care of this, Mister Delmas." Jim said. "I think you've lost your senses. Alright, let's go to the infirmary." He continued talking, starting to lead Sissi away. Some of the other students began laughing. "Alright, children! I want each of you to go quietly back to your rooms. Jim…take care of the students, I'll take Sissi to the infirmary." Demlas said, leading Sissi to the Infirmary. The group stayed seated slightly longer then everyone else. "You think it could be Xana?" Yumi asked, worried. "I don't know, but I will check once I get to my room." Jeremy said reassuringly.
In Jeremy's room the group except for Yumi watched as the superscan finished a full scan of Lyoko without finding any activated towers. "No activated towers. Looks like Xana has nothing to do with it." Jeremy said just as Yumi entered his room. "The nurse said that Sissi received an electric charge. She's in shock, but fine. There's nothing to worry about." Yumi told them. "Oh, poor Sissi! I have to admit that her acting was really electrifying!" Odd said, faking pity. "I am going to agree with the superscan since I didn't really feel any sort of strong electric field around her when she walked over to us. I did feel a weak one but that was probably from the electric charge." Josh said getting up. "Well, False Alarm I guess, we can all sleep easy now." Jeremy added. "Yeah. That works out just fine because tomorrow is Sunday, and on Sunday…" Ulrich said before getting cut off by Odd. "we sleep in." Odd said, completing Ulrich's sentence. After this the group says their goodbyes before they all go their separate ways for the night.
Later that night while Jeremy was wake typing on his computer working on Aelita's anti-virus some more, Sissi opened his door and walked in, repeating the same gibberish she was previously. "Huh? Sissi?!" Jeremy jumped a bit in surprise. She repeated what she was saying again. "Sissi? What has gotten into you?" Jeremy complained. Sissi then grabbed a paper and pencil and began to rapidly scribble down lines of a coded message until Jim walked to Jeremy's door. "What's all this racket about? Sissi?! You should be in the infirmary." Jim said, putting his hand on her shoulder to lead her out, causing her to stop writing. "Your father's going to have my head again." Jim added as he shut Jeremy's door. Jeremy grabbed the piece of paper and tried to make sense of it, having no luck he waited a bit longer into the night before getting up and heading to the factory.
At the factory he entered the writing into the computer and began a decryption program before he began working on Aeltia's antivirus to pass the time as it ran. A few hours later the program had finished and generated a bit of interesting data along with a sound clip. By this time it was already early in the morning.
Ulrich's phone began to ring, waking him from his Sunday sleep. Reaching down and finding his phone Ulirch answered. "Jeremy? It's sunday… oh okay we're coming." Ulrich said getting up and waking up Odd. Jeremy next called Aelita, Yumi and finally Josh.
At the factory Ulrich was looking at the paper that Sissi had written on. "A message in code? Written by Sissi?" Ulrich asked. "Yep, I ran the supercomputer all night to translate it, and look what turned up." Jeremy said before playing the sound clip. "I can help you, I want to enter into contact with you now." A highly distorted voice said before the clip ended. "I can help you?" Yumi repeated in a questioning tone. "It has to be a trap by Xana, he must have figured out a way to possess Sissi without activating a tower." Ulrich said. "I don't think so. Otherwise, Sissi would have gone after me! She would have tried to get me out to Lyoko, so that the Scyphozoa could steal my memory!" Aelita stated ending that idea. "Aelita's right. If you ask me, someone wants to contact us through Sissi. But it's not XANA." Jeremy said "Well then, who is it?" Odd asked. "I have an idea, what if it's Franz Hopper. You said the other day he was somewhere on Lyoko. What if he is trying to get in contact with us?" Josh asked. "Very possible. But to know for sure, we are going to have to talk with Sissi." Jeremy stated to the group. "Ok. I'll bring her over. Anyone care to join me?" Yumi asked. "I will! I'm your man, Yumi! I mean, you know what I mean." Odd said, volunteering.
After Yumi and Odd left Jeremy, Josh, Ulrich and Aeltia were alone in the lab. "I want to take a look around Lyoko and make sure Xana isn't trying to pull a fast one on us." Ulrich said. "I will go with you." Josh said, "And Jeremy can send in Aelita if we find a tower." He added. "Or I can just go with you both." Aelita said butting in. "But what about the Scyphozoa? It would be an added risk." Jeremy said. "Not any riskier than when we have to deactivate a tower." Aelita replied, "Jeremy, you need to stop worrying about me so much." She added. "Aelita's right. Plus at least Ulrich and I will be there as well" Josh added, even when it was his idea initially to not have Aelita go with. "Okay, head down to the scanners then." Jeremy said as he began working on the virtualization process for them.
Once the group had entered the scanners Jeremy virtualized them. "Transfer Ulrich, Transfer Aelita, Transfer Josh. Scanner Ulrich, Scanner Aelita, Scanner Josh, Virtualization! " Jeremy said as he virtualized the three into the Forest Sector. Ulrich virtualized right next to his Overbike and Josh next to the Overboard. ""Great timing. Nice work, Jeremy." Ulrich said. "Thanks. Now remember this is just a reconnaissance mission." Jeremy said. "We know." Josh replied, getting on the overboard. "I should really work on my own vehicle." He added.
Meanwhile Odd and Yumi had reached the school and saw Sissi being taken away to the Hospital. Odd called Jeremy. "Jeremie? Bad news. Sissi's being taken to the hospital." Odd told him. "Oh no. You're going to have to get her back here." Jeremy told him. "No sweat, I have got an idea." Odd told him before hanging up. "Are you thinking what I think you're thinking?" Yumi asked Odd. "Yea. Good thinking." Odd said with a laugh before they began making their way to the hospital.
Only Lyoko Ulrich, Aelita and Josh had searched thru most of the sector heading towards on of the last towers. "Guys? Everything going okay?" Jeremy asked. "To tell you the truth, I have no idea. Has the superscan picked anything up yet?" Urlich asked as they were heading towards the tower. "No, still nothing. Why?" Jeremy asked. "Well… Hang on, let me send you a visual." Aeltia said, putting a hand to her head. "What in the world? That's an activated tower for sure, but definitely not by Xana." Jeremy said seeing a tower surrounded by a white aura, instead of the usual red aura of a tower activated by Xana. "Then by who? And could this be how whoever is controlling Sissi is doing it?" Ulirch asked. "I don't know for sure, but it's definitely how Sissi is being controlled." Jeremy said typing. "Come on, I want to see this up close." Aelita told Ulirch, urging him to get her to the tower. "Jeremy, could it be that your superscan isn't programmed to detect towers other than ones activated by my father?" Josh asked as they all headed towards the tower. "That could very well be." Jeremy said before suddening two mega-tanks appeared on his screen. "Watch out! Two mega-tanks just appeared behind you on the path!" He said.
Josh and Ulrich quickly started trying to outrun them but they got closer and closer. "This is not going well." Josh said. "Turn left." Aelita said point towards a short off shoot. "Whoa, but there's nothing to the left." Ulrich replied before Aelita used her creativity to generate a longer platform that Ulrich and Josh quickly turned onto, just barely making it out of the way of the mega-tanks.
"Well done, Aelita! But it's really weird that they didn't come back to attack you." Jeremy said, watching the map, seeing the mega-tanks continuing towards the tower. "Something's not right here.." He added. Once they reached the tower the mega-tanks began wiring at it. "Jeremy! It wasn't us they were after." Aeltia said slightly worried having only seen Xana attacking a tower once before during her first devirtualization. "They are trying to disable the tower." Josh said, recognizing what was going on. :My father is trying to forcefully deactivate the tower, which means whoever is activating it either is more powerful than him or can out program him." He added. "Okay, hold them off, if Xana wants to stop whoever is using that tower then they must actually be able to help us." Jeremy said. "You two care for a game of bowling?" Ulrich asked. "A game of what?" Aelita asked. "Forget about it. It's a bad joke." Jeremy replied. "Sometimes I crack myself up." Ulrich stated before getting on his way towards the tower with Josh not far behind.
At the hospital Mr. Delmas was in the room with a doctor and Sissi. "Well…what's wrong with her?" He asked softly, worried about his daughter. "I haven't the slightest idea. We'll keep her here under observation for a few hours and then we'll see." The doctor replied. "Oh… Very well. Let me know at the first sign of a change in her condition." Mr. Delmas said. "Of course." The doctor replied. Meanwhile Yumi and Odd were walking towards the room, walking past Mr. Delmas who was preoccupied. "So what did the girl at the reception say?" Odd asked Yumi. "Room 237" Yumi replied as they walked.
Jeremy was typing away, when an alert popped up displaying the activated tower.
Yumi's phone began ringing. "Jeremy?" She asked. "The superscan just picked up an activated tower, so be careful. Xana is on the offensive." He told her. "Just great." Odd said before they both heard Sissi screaming. "Jeremy, I am going to have to call you back." Yumi said as Odd and her rushed into the room when a possessed doctor was trying to electrocute Sissi. "Stop!" Yumi yelled getting ready to fight when the doctor turned towards her and knocked her to the ground with one punch before picking her up by the shirt getting ready to punch again. Thankfully Odd grabbed the defibrillator in the room and hit the doctor with it, the electricity temporarily disrupting the spectors control, causing the doctor to fall to the ground. "She had hyper-tension." Odd said jokingly. "Not anymore, let's go" Yumi said, getting Sissi into a wheelchair heading for the door. On their way out Yumi called Jeremy to give him and update. "Jeremy, we're on our way with Sissi." She said. "Great, bring her over and hurry up, Xana is trying to stop whoever is controlling her." Jeremy said. "Well, that won't be easy, a doctor possessed by Xana doesn't seem to like the idea." Yumi added. "Ouch. Good luck then." Jeremy said.
On Lyoko, Josh was taking on one of the mega-tanks while Ulrich was dealing with the other one. While Josh was approaching the mega-tank it began to roll and try to squash him, chasing him around in a circle around the tower. Meanwhile Ulrich was having much better luck having dodged an attack by the mega-tank before jumping on it and stabbing it directly in the eye. "Guys! I have some bad news." Jeremy said. "Give me a second." Josh yelled, taking his sword and slamming it down like a ramp in front of the rolling mega-tank, causing it to fly over him and into the digital sea. "Thanks better. Go on?" Josh then said. "Activated tower in the Ice Sector." Jeremy told them. "Urlich, you go handle the tower with Aelita." Josh said, seeing another two mega-tanks rolling down the path. "You sure?" Ulrich asked. "Yes. Just go." Josh replied. After Ulrich had left Josh got ready to stop the mega-tanks.
On the bridge Odd and Yumi were running pushing Sissi in the wheelchair as the doctor was closing in on them with an ambulance. "Lets get out of here! Here come Doctor Doom." Odd yelled looking over his shoulder. "Look out!" Yumi said hearing it closing in behind them, as they just entered the factory Yumi jumped to the right of the opening and Odd jumped to the left pulling Sissi with him. The ambulance continued on flying off the edge of the ledge and falling to the floor of the factory with a loud thud. "I hope she was wearing a seatbelt." Odd said jokingly, while Sissi stood up and walked over to the edge and slid carefully down one of the ropes as if she knew where she was going, causing to exchange looks of curiosity.
In the Ice Sector, Ulrich and Aelita were speeding towards the tower, "Ulrich, you have some Krab waiting for you at the tower." Jeremy said seeing them on his screens. "Great." Ulrich said, already pulling out his saber, driving with one hand.
In the forest sector Josh ran towards one of the mega-tanks getting its attention and it began to charge its laser while tracking him. He then ran towards the other mega-tank and when the first one fired its laser wall hit the other mega-tank shoving it off the platform into the digital sea below, destroying it with a bright blue beam into the sky. "Nice going Josh." Jeremy said seeing the mega-tank disappear on his screen.
In the factory Yumi, Odd and Sissi had just got to the elevator when the Xana possessed doctor finally got out of the ambulance and flung a hubcap towards them, the group jumped to avoid it getting into the elevator as the hubcap got stuck in a beam of the building. Yumi clicked the button to head to the lab, but the doctor punched her arm through the elevator door but missed hitting Yumi. As the elevator went down a loud thump was heard on the roof, when they reached the lab Odd and Sissi got out while Yumi hit the button to go back up. "Yumi, where are you going?" Odd asked worriedly. "To buy some more time." She replied before the elevator closed. Sissi walked towards the computer right past Jeremy and sat down. Jeremy watched her closely as she opened a new file and began typing quickly in the same sort of coded way as the message she had written before.
In the ice sector, the Krabs had begun to shoot at Ulrich and Aelita. "You Aelita, I am going to distract them while you run for the tower." Ulrich said before jumping off the Overbike and running at the first Krab he saw.
In the forest sector, the mega-tank decided to ignore Josh and shot at the tower again. After the laser hit the tower the aura around it began to flicker like whoever was controlling it was starting to lose control of the tower. "Josh, it looks like the tower won't be able to withstand another hit." Jeremy said, causing Josh to run to intercept the next laser wall that the mega-tank had fired using his sword to block it. Eventually, the laser managed to destroy Josh's sword and devirtualize him before striking the tower, deactivating it.
In the lab, Sissi gasped before passing out on the keyboard. Jeremy and Odd carefully moved SIssi out of the chair and Jeremy got back in it. "Ulrich and Aelita, the other tower has been deactivated so hurry up on getting that one your at done." He said.
On the factory floor Yumi was trying to outrun the doctor who had jumped off the top of the elevator at her. Unfortunately Yumi tripped over part of the ambulance that was destroyed from earlier and fell to the ground. The doctor grabbed her by the shirt and repeatedly tried to punch Yumi's head, but Yumi managed to dodge each attempt.
In the ice sector, Aelita went for the tower, both Krabs having decided to go after Ulrich. She entered the tower and floated up to the top platform before deactivating it.
"You better run a return to the past Jeremy, since we did kidnap Sissi and there is a stolen ambulance on the factory floor." Odd pointed out. "Good thinking" Jeremy replied launching a return to the past back to sunday morning. Once again Jeremy called the group for a meeting in the factory.
At the factory they all gathered around the console. "So I have managed to decode all the data that Sissi entered into the computer. It's really amazing." Jeremy said. "So do we know who was controlling her for sure?" Ulrich asked. "Here, take a listen." Jeremy said playing one of the audio files that were compressed and encoded in the data. "I can help you. I want to enter into contact with you. I am Franz Hopper, I am Franz Hopper." The audio played. Aelita's eyes widened a bit in shock, having not known there was someone else in the super computer before other then her and Xana. "I am Franz Hopper?" She softly repeated.
Welp thats a new chapter, I know I said I was going to do a lore based one ,but I couldn't make it flow very well, so I am just going to sprinkle my lore in where I can.
The next chapter will be revelations, But I do plan on adding a bit of a twist to it.
