Xana had launched an attack late at night forcing the warriors to head to the factory, Jeremy called Yumi to inform her. "Alright Jeremy, I will be right over" Yumi said, having answered her phone just as she was about to lay down, she got dressed and hurried out her front door, unfortunately walking out right in front of William who happened to be skating back to Kadic after having snuck out. Yumi jumped out of the way landing on the ground. "Yumi, what are you doing up so late?" William asked, having stopped shortly after she jumped out of the way. "I wouldn't exactly call this being up, would you?" She snapped back, starting to get off the ground. "Sorry, but I was speeding to get back to the dorm." He said, grabbing up his skateboard while Yumi stood fully back up. "I climbed the wall to go and see Skybreaker 4, but it was…really lame." He added. "Well, What did you expect? The first three weren't any good to start with." She replied. "Cause I'm just too much of an optimist! Even when things start badly, I…always feel they can…get better if you give them time." He responded with a cheesy smile. "Well I have got to get going." She said, starting to walk away before William blocked her path with his skateboard. "Really? At this time of night. Where to?" He asked. "To save the world. Is that a good enough answer for you?" She said, starting to get very annoyed since William still didn't move. "Just let me leave already." Yumi yelled. "Ok Ok, but before I do, you've gotta give me a kiss goodnight." William said. "What…" Yumi said before deciding to use this to her advantage to get away. "Know what, alright but first you have to close your eyes." Yumi said. William closed his eyes and leaned in, allowing Yumi to sprint away towards the factory, leaving William there alone. He opened his eyes. "Yumi?" He asked, looking around.
At the factory, Yumi was headed to the Lab. "Yumi, what took you?" Jeremy asked. "Aelita just deactivated the tower." He said working on devirtualizing everyone. "Oh… I would have been her sooner, except I had a run in with William." Yumi said, even more annoyed at William now, as she got ready to head back to her house as the others were heading back to the Kadic dorms.
On their way back to the dorms Josh was talking with Aelita walking on one side of her while Jeremy walked on the other. "I have been working on a program for searching for your father, I think its almost ready." Josh said, getting Jeremy's attention as well. "That's great news." Aelita said. "Unfortunately it looks like it could take weeks to run, unless we activate a tower." Josh added. "And that wouldn't be a good idea, considering the last two times we have done so." Jeremy said. "I can take a look and see if I can find anyways to speed it up." Jeremy added as they neared the dorms.
The next day, Yumi was standing outside with her bag as her class was waiting to go on a trip to swim for gym class. As she waited, Jim was doing roll call, calling out the names of people in her class to see if they were present or not. "Hey, you know…last night, you pulled a fast one on me. No one has ever humiliated me like that before. What you do that for?" William said moving close to Yumi. "Because I find your dumb, two-bit Casanova act sickening." Yumi said. "In the beginning, it was pretty nice. But now, I'm really fed up. So why don't you buzz off, and leave me alone" She added moving away from him, meanwhile Jim had gotten further in his roll call. "William Dunbar! WILLIAM DUNBAR!" He yelled over the talking of the students. "Ok, ok! I'm not deaf! You can see I'm here, can't ya?!" William yelled back, waving his hands in the air. The whole class got quite looking towards him in surprise. "Dunbar! To the library! Out of my sight! No swimming for you today, you got that?!" Jim yelled back. William just accepted his punishment and went back to trying to talk to Yumi. "I will find out what you went to do last night. I am going to find out your big secret." William said before walking to the library.
Meanwhile the others in the group, Aelita, Jeremy, Josh, Odd and Ulrich were standing by the vending machines talking to each other. Aelita and Jeremy were preparing for their history class presentation. Odd was reading the Kadic News to himself, while Ulrich was getting a drink from the vending machine. Josh was just relaxing a bit. "So Odd, what's the latest?" Ulrich asked, "Is Judith Nevers going out with Ronald Limousin?" Odd said reading the first headline. "Who the heck are Judith Nevers and Ronald Limousin?" Ulrich asked. "How should I know, but apparently they are." Odd replied. "Don't worry Jeremy, our report is going to go great." Aelita said with a smile and Jeremy finished the final edits on it. "I can't wait to hear your report." Josh said, "Considering, everything I know about earth's history came from class, my own research or my father." He added. "Well, that's good since the whole point of history class is to learn." Jeremy replied before his laptop began to beep in alert. "Xana's on the attack. But there is no way Aelita and I can miss our presentation, and I want to avoid giving Xana any more power with the return to the past." Jeremy said. "That's fine, we can head over and Josh can deactivate the tower while you're in class." Odd said, getting up, ready to head to the factory. "Okay, but we will try and finish our presentation as quickly as possible, and head over just in case." Aelita said. "Okay, let's go." Josh said, also getting up. The three ran towards the woods to get to the sewer access in the park. As they ran, Ulrich tried to call Yumi but got no answer.
William was on his way to the library when he noticed Josh, Odd and Ulrich running into the woods. Wanting to get to the bottom of what Yumi had been doing the night before, he tried to covertly follow them, when he noticed them go down the manhole, he waited a few minutes before following them down, listening to their footsteps to see where they were heading, before following them.
Back on campus, Aelita and Jeremy were giving their presentation in class, quickly rushing through it, while still fully talking about everything they were supposed to. While Yumi was off campus with the rest of her class at the pool.
At the factory Odd, Ulrich and Josh were in the lab, where Josh sat down locating the tower in the ice sector. "Okay, I have started a delayed virtualization and I already virtualized the vehicles." Josh said getting up from the terminal, heading to the elevator with the others, where they then headed down to the scanner room.
Moments later the three appeared above the ice sector and fell to the ground, before they all got onto the vehicles, Josh having virtualized the Overwing for himself, the Overbike for Ulrich and the Overboard for Odd. Heading towards the activated tower.
Back in history class, Aelita and Jeremy had finished their presentation in a little under 5 minutes. "Sir, my head hurts, may I go to the infirmary?" Aelita asked, holding her head, faking to let them leave. "Yes, go, I am not feeling very well myself." The teacher said, "I will take you there." Jeremy said, before both left the building, running towards the woods.
On Lyoko, Odd, Ulrich and Josh where making their way towards the tower when a group of four Kankrelats appeared behind them and began to shoot in their direction. "Josh, continue towards the tower, we will deal with the Kankrelats." Odd said, knowing right now, till Aelita gets there only Josh could deactivate the tower. "Okay, good luck." Josh replied heading off on the Overwing. Odd and Ulrich both stopped, Odd took aim at one of the Kankrelats and destroyed it with a laser arrow since it had not expected that both of them would suddenly stop to fight. While Ulrich stayed on his Overbike and raced between two of the Kankrelats destroying one with his saber before turning around and slicing through the second one. The last Kankrelat managed to shoot Odd's overboard, dropping him to the ground. "Hey!" Odd yelled shooting a laser arrow at it, but the monster jumped sideways out of the way before returning fire.
As Jeremy and Aelita arrived at the Factory, and into the elevator, just as the door was about to close William slipped in. "So what's down this elevator?" William asked, to the shock of Aelita and Jeremy. "What are you doing here?" Jeremy asked. "I followed Odd, Ulrich and Josh." He replied. "So are you going to answer my question?" He asked just as the lift's door opened revealing the lab. "Wow" William said, looking around taking all of it in, meanwhile Jeremy was hurrying to the console, where he put on the headset. "Ulrich, there's more Kankrelats on the way." Jeremy said. "Aelita, head to the scanner room just in case." He added.
On Lyoko, Ulrich turned around to see four more Kankrelats quickly approaching him and Odd, while the remaining Kankrelat took a quick shot at Ulrich hitting him once in the back. While this was going on, as Josh approached the tower the Skipahoza slowly moved out from behind it. "Jeremy, this is weird." Josh said stopping, not looking to get that close.
Outside the factory, a Xana possessed demolition worker, walked across the factory's bridge and into the factory proper, before beginning to set up charges around the building. He set them up on the main supports before moving towards the secondary entrance to the lab to set up charges that would collapse the wall of the lab onto Jeremy and the Supercomputer.
"What is Xana up to?" Jeremy said typing away. "Josh stay back till Odd and Ulrich show up, I think Xana wants to use you just as he has Aelita to destroy the sector." He added virtualizing Aelita between where Odd, Ulrich and Josh were so she was protected on all sides. Aelita dropped to the ground and headed towards Josh, while Odd and Ulrich ran towards them as well, the Kankrelats following them. Once Odd, Ulrich and Aelita reached Josh's position, they all went towards the tower, the Skipazoha moving backwards as the Kankrelats managed to shoot Odd and Ulrich in the back. "Ulrich you don't have many life points left, one more hit and its over." Jeremy said before trying to call Yumi again.
"Yumi still isn't answering." Jeremy said, "I could go get her if you want." William said, speaking up, having just been quietly standing there. "That would be great." Jeremy said, before turning his attention back to Lyoko where Ulrich had just been devirtualized by one of the Kankrelats. William ran to the elevator and went to get Yumi as he ran out of the factory the person possessed by Xana had finished planting all the charges and went to set up the detonator.
On Lyoko, Josh and Odd began fighting back against the Kankrelats, managing to destroy a few more of them, before the Skipahoza which had still been creeping around managed to grab a hold of Josh, surprising everyone. "Odd and Aelita, the Skipahoza has Josh, Odd do something, Aelita, use this time to deactivate the tower." Jeremy said, worrying that if Aelita tried to save Josh she would either get devirtualized or captured.. Aelita threw a few Energy Fields at the Skipahoza before running into the tower, unfortunately Odd was having no luck dealing with the Kankrelats and was devirtualized before he could help Josh.
"Aelita, as soon as you're finished with the tower, you're going to need to devirtualize Josh." Jeremy said seeing Odd get devirtualized and the Skipahoza being almost finished possessing Josh. Aelita floated up to the top of the tower, placing her hand on the interface, before entering the command sequence to deactivate the tower, unfortunately the denominator was already set and additionally had a time set on it to ensure that it would explode.
Ulrich and Odd came up from the scanner room. "Jeremy, is Yumi here yet?" Odd asked. "No, but I sent William to get here, since he had followed you guys here." Jeremy replied. "The tower is deactivated now, Aelita is going to try and stop Josh." He added.
William had gotten Yumi and headed back to the factory with her. "Who's that on the bridge?" William asked, seeing someone laying passed on. "Probably the person Xana had possessed." Yumi answered. "Well, he works at a demolition company. And that empty bag next to him says something about explosives." William replied. "I will call Jeremy." Yumi said calling Jeremy. "Jeremy, there is a guy that must of been who possessed by Xana, according to William he has an empty bag of explosives, so the factory has got to be rigged to blow. You need to launch a return to the past, now." She said. "But I can't Josh was captured by the Skipahoza, and I am not sure what will happen if I launch the return now. And to save him and the sector, Aelita is going to need your help on Lyoko". Jeremy replied.
Meanwhile on Lyoko, Aelita was chasing after Josh, trying to catch up. "Josh, you have to stop!" Aelita yelled towards him. In response he stopped and turned towards her, still under Xana's control, "Josh isn't here and this sector must be destroyed and there is nothing that you can do about it." He said reaching a hand out and trapping Aelita's feet in ice without any effort. "Josh snap out of it!" Aelita yelled as she threw an energy field at him that while under Xana's control he was easily able to dodge.
In the Lab, Yumi had reached the scanner room while Odd and Urlich went up to the factory proper to try and deal with the situation at hand. "Yumi I am going to virtualize you between Josh and the way tower. Be ready" Jeremy said, beginning the virtualization process.
On Lyoko, Yumi virtualized roughly halfway between the way tower and Josh. Using the opportunity of surprised, she threw her fans at him, managing to land a hit. "Yumi, you took him down 20 life points, one more good hit and he will be devirtualized." Jeremy said.
In the factory, Odd and Ulrich meet up with William, who was looking carefully at one of the charges attached to a pillar. "These are wireless charges." He said to them. "Meaning?" Odd asked. "The detonator has to be somewhere close for the signal to reach them all. " William answered. "And how do you know this?" Ulrich asked. "My uncle, he works in construction, and sometimes I would go with him while on vacation" William replied. "We need to find the detonator." He added looking around.
On Lyoko, Josh ran towards Yumi, swinging his sword at her. "Wow, Xana you're not very good at this." She said throwing her fan right into Josh's face hitting him point blank. "You will pay for that, maybe not now, but you will." He yelled, about to swing at her again when suddenly a energy field hit him in the back knocking him down. "Good, job Aelita!" Jeremy said.
In the factory, the three at spotted the detonator sitting up on a girder, before going up to it. "Jeremy, are you able to launch a return yet?" Ulrich asked. "No, but almost. Why?" Jeremy asked. "Because we only have a minute left on the detonator." He replied. "You three need to get out of there!" Jeremy said, worried about his friends. "You too." Ulrich said. "No, I can't leave the others alone, plus I have to activate the return when it's safe." He replied. "I can try and defuse it." William spoke up, hearing Ulrich talking. "You know how to do that?" Odd asked. "Well, in theory." He replied, walking out towards the detonator, looking at it. "William is going to try and defuse it." Urlich said.
On Lyoko, Josh was still on the ground. "Xana, give up, Josh has never been able to defeat us." Yumi said, standing ready to strike him down. "Unfortunately for you, unlike Josh, I know how to use his connection to Lyoko" he said, causing an ice pillar to shoot up and capture Yumi's hand and block Aelita with a wall. "You two need to hurry up and devirtualize Josh, William is going to try to defuse the detonator." Jeremy said worried.
In the factory ceiling, William opened up the detonator, and carefully looking through the wires. "You two better go, it would be dumb for three of us to explode." He said. "No, if you're staying, I am staying." Urlich said. "Me too." Odd added. "Okay here goes." William said, disconnecting a few wires inside as the timer countered down. "It should be defused." He said as the three watched the counter go down to zero and nothing happened. "Jeremy, William defused the detonator!" Ulrich said over the phone. "Good since Josh is being very hard to devirtualize." Jeremy replied.
On Lyoko, Aelita used one energy field to destroy the ice wall and quickly shot another that hit Josh just before he passed into the way tower, finally devirtualizing him. "Good job Aelita!" Jeremy said, beginning to devirtualize Yumi and Aelita, who appeared in the scanners next to Josh. Josh made his way up from the scanner room holding his head. "God, my head is killing me" Josh said to himself. "Yeah, it happens anytime Xana has previously possessed me as well." Aelita said, assuring Josh the pain would pass.
After they were devirtualized, William, Odd and Ulrich meet with everyone in the lab. "I promise I can keep a secret." William said. "Then lets have a vote, everyone writes yes or no on some paper and we will see" Jeremy said, getting some paper from his notebook. The members of the lyoko warriors all wrote their choice on the papers and they all handed them back to Jeremy who read them off. As he did so they were all yes, until he reached a final no. "I am sorry William, but there is a no." He said. "Really after I risked my life to save you all, one of you thinks I am not trusted enough." William said mildly annoyed. "I guess its time for a return to the past then." Jeremy said, turning to the console, beginning to type, to launch a return to that morning.
So of you may have noticed I skipped The Pretender, I decided I just didn't really like the idea behind that episode so I skipped it.
