Chapter 18: The Voice in the Night Part 3
"Ahhh you feel ahh so good" moaned Asami in pure bliss as she continued to ride Kado's hard and thick cock. The morning light was shining into Asami's bedroom as she rode Kado, her tight pussy sliding along his thick length.
"Fuck Asami, keep ahh going" responded Kado, groaning with pleasure as Asami's soaking wet pussy hugged his thick cock while she rode him. Asami looked amazing in the morning light as she rode Kado, her naked breasts bounced from the force of her movements.
"Ahh I'm going to ahh cum" moaned Asami, bouncing even faster as she rode Kado with a look of pure bliss spread across her face. Kado could feel Asami's tight pussy squeezing around him in a vice grip, he started to thrust upwards to reach deeper into her.
"Do it Asami. Ahh cum for me" moaned Kado in response, his rock hard cock feeling amazing buried deep inside Asami's tight and soaking wet pussy. Kado's words sent Asami crashing over the edge. Not wanting to alert her father that Kado stayed the night, Asami quickly leaned down and kissed Kado just as she started to scream in orgasm.
Asami moaned loudly into Kado's mouth as she passionately kissed him, her tight pussy gushing around Kado's thick length. Kado moaned just as loudly into Asami's open mouth, her tight pussy was driving him wild as she orgasmed around his shaft. Drowning in a sea of pleasure, Asami rode out the waves of her orgasm while she hungrily made out with Kado. After her orgasm was winding down, Asami leaned back from Kado's lips.
"Spirits that felt good" stated Asami in a breathless tone, resting on top of Kado while they were still connected.
"Yah that was so good Asami" responded Kado, enjoying how close he was with Asami in this moment. Asami was still in a breathless state, her body still sensitive from the intense orgasm she just experienced. Despite being breathless and sensitive, Asami felt that Kado was still rock hard inside her. Giving Kado a look of determination and intense hunger, Asami started to ride Kado's thick cock once again.
"You still haven't cum" responded Asami in a hungry and sultry tone, whispering these words into Kado's ear. Sitting back up on top of Kado, Asami gave the young water bending master a wonderful view as she rode him with renewed vigor.
"Don't ahh hold back Kado, ahh I want you to cum for me" moaned Asami in a breathless tone while her still overly sensitive pussy slid against Kado's thick length. Kado groaned with pleasure as he stared up in awe at his sexy and naked girlfriend riding his thick cock.
"Fuck Asami, you are so god damn hot" moaned Kado, barely holding back his orgasm while Asami sped up her riding. Asami felt even more lust and arousal flow through her at Kado's words, she was quickly approaching another powerful orgasm as she looked down at Kado.
"Ahh you're not so bad yourself handsome" responded Asami in a sultry and flirty tone, running her hands across Kado's sculpted and hard abs while she rode him even faster. Up and down Asami rode Kado's thick cock, her pussy squeezing him in a vice grip.
"Ahh I love you ahh Kado" moaned Asami in a breathless tone, riding Kado while she was right on the edge of another orgasm.
"Fuck, I love you ahh too Asami" responded Kado with a groan of pleasure, his hard cock starting to throb wildly as Asami's tight pussy begged for his cum.
"Ahh I'm going to cum again. I can ahh feel you ahh Kado. You're close aren't you" asked Asami in a breathless tone, every nerve in her body standing on edge while she desperately rode Kado's thick cock like her life depended on it. Leaning down, Asami whispered her next words into Kado's ear, her naked breasts pressing up against his muscular chest.
"Please cum for me Kado. Let's cum together" moaned Asami into Kado's ear, her hips still moving as she desperately sought release. Kado groaned at Asami's words; they were the final push that he needed. Holding onto Asami's hips, Kado thrusted upwards into his sexy girlfriend.
"Damn Asami" moaned Kado before he was silenced by Asami capturing his lips with her own. Asami screamed into Kado's open mouth as she felt his white hot cum flood her tight and spasming pussy. Kado felt like Asami's pussy was going to melt his cock, her intense heat felt amazing as he emptied his balls deep into her. After serval moments Kado and Asami came down from their orgasmic highs, Asami was breathing heavily as she laid on top of Kado.
"What I way to wake up" stated Asami in a breathless tone, enjoying the feeling of Kado's white hot cum lodged deep inside her. Kado laughed lightly at these words, enjoying Asami's warmth as she laid on top of him.
"Damn right it is" responded Kado in an amused tone, thinking that there wasn't that much of a better way to wake up other than feeling Asami riding the life out of him. For a few minutes the two young lovers enjoyed resting in each other's arms until reality came back to them.
"I should get going Asami. I don't want to leave but the later I stay the harder it's going to be to sneak out before your father or the servants wake up" stated Kado in a reluctant tone as he sat up. Asami groaned at the loss of Kado being inside her as she watched him stand up.
"I wish you could stay a bit longer" responded Asami in a wistful tone as she watched Kado dressing himself. Kado turned to smile at his sexy girlfriend, he still didn't have his shirt on.
"Believe me Asami, I'd rather stay in bed with you than go to work" responded Kado with a flirty smile. Walking back to her bed, Kado leaned down and took a moment to lovingly kiss Asami.
"I should have lunch free, do you want to meet then" asked Kado as he leaned back from Asami.
"I'd like that Kado. I'll meet you at the council building at noon" responded Asami with a smile, already looking forward to their lunch date.
"It's a date" responded Kado in a flirty tone before he continued his search.
"Do you know where I left my shirt" asked Kado in a curious tone, searching Asami's room with his eyes in vain for his missing article of clothing.
"It's on my dresser" responded Asami in an amused tone as she pointed towards Kado's shirt resting halfway on her dresser. Kado turned to look in the direction Asami was pointing, smiling as he found his shirt.
"Thanks, guess I tossed it further than I thought I did last night" responded Kado as he walked over to his shirt and put in on.
"I still have to get home and take a shower before work. That and I still have to talk with Korra, I hope she still isn't mad at me" stated Kado as he walked over to Asami's bedroom window.
"I'm sure Korra will have cooled off by now" responded Asami in a comforting tone while Kado chuckled at these words.
"You don't know Korra that well yet. Korra might be the avatar, but my little sister is not the type of person to cool down that easily" responded Kado in an amused tone as he opened Asami's bedroom window. Asami was still naked as she walked over to her bedroom window, taking a moment to glance outside before she turned her attention back towards her boyfriend.
"Are you sure you can make this jump" asked Asami in a slightly worried tone since her bedroom wasn't on the ground floor.
"Sure, this is no problem" responded Kado before he quickly kissed Asami.
"See you at noon beautiful" stated Kado before he climbed out of the window. While Kado was falling through the air, he water bended the waterskin he also carried with him. A jet of water was bent out of the waterskin, Kado used it to form a slide of ice that guided his fall. Landing safely on the ground, Kado bent the water back into his water skin. Waving goodbye to Asami from the ground, Kado smiled to himself as he started to sneak out of the Sato estate. Sometime later Kado walked into his penthouse apartment, looking around for his little sister.
"Korra are you here" called out Kado as he searched for Korra. Kado wanted to make sure that he and Korra were alright, he didn't want to leave things as they were yesterday. Looking around his apartment, Kado quickly concluded that Korra was out despite it still being early in the morning. Kado noticed a note left on the living room table; he picked it up.
"I'm with Mako and Bolin to train for the tournament" read the note, Kado sighing as he set the note down.
"Sounds like she's still mad at me" stated Kado to himself thinking that Korra was intentionally avoiding him.
Kado knew that Korra was upset that he also joined the task force, Korra was under the impression that Kado didn't trust in her strength. Trusting in Korra's strength wasn't the problem, Kado was confident that Korra could handle herself against most opponents. What worried Kado about Korra was the fact she was bottling her fears and throwing herself out of balance. While Korra might be upset with him, Kado didn't regret his actions. If it meant keeping his little sister safe then Kado would happily deal with Korra being upset with him.
"Guess I'll talk to her later, Korra can't avoid me forever" stated Kado as he walked into the bathroom. After washing up and getting dressed for the day, Kado walked out of his apartment. Sitting through council meetings was always a bother but Kado was able to power through since he was looking forward to his lunch date with Asami.
"Councilman Kado, there's a young woman here to see you" stated Kado's assistant as he walked into his office, Asami following behind him. Kado looked up from the paperwork he was doing, he stood up and smiled at Asami.
"Thank the spirits you're here Asami" responded Kado after dismissing his assistant. Kado walked over to Asami, placing his hand on her hips before pulling her closer to him.
"I'm starving and tired of the endless work of a councilman" stated Kado, Asami flashing her boyfriend a flirty smile.
"In that case I'm glad I can be a good distraction for you" responded Asami in a flirty tone before she took the time to kiss Kado. After a few moments Asami leaned back from Kado, a flirty smile spread across her face.
"What are you hungry for" asked Asami as she stepped back from Kado and took hold of his hand. Walking out of his office with Asami, Kado smiled at his girlfriend.
"There's a great place nearby that makes water tribe cuisine. That sound good to you" asked Kado as they stepped out of the council building.
"Sounds good to me" responded Asami as she cuddled closer to Kado as they walked towards their destination.
"I just want to be with my very handsome boyfriend" stated Asami in a flirty tone as they crossed the street.
"You'll like the food. It's nothing fancy but it's good water tribe cooking" responded Kado, his stomach rumbling at the thought of a taste of home. Soon Kado and Asami were seated at their table and ordered their food.
"Did you talk with Korra" asked Asami in a curious tone. Asami was hoping that Kado made up with Korra, partly because she really wanted to have a threesome with the incestuous siblings.
"No, I didn't. Korra was already gone when I got back to my apartment. It's obvious she's avoiding me, Korra doesn't wake up that early if she doesn't have to" responded Kado with a tired sight, worried that he needed to talk things out with Korra before things fester and get worse.
"I'm sure everything will work out, Korra just needs some more time" responded Asami in a comforting tone, reaching across the table to hold Kado's hand.
"Thanks, Asami. You're probably right" responded Kado with a grateful smile.
"I'll see Korra later today, there's a raid happening tonight with the task force" stated Kado, hoping that he would have the opportunity to talk with Korra before they had to go into battle.
"Just be careful" responded Asami, giving Kado's hand a comforting squeeze.
"Don't worry I will Asami. Remember that I'm a master water bender, I can handle a lot of trouble" responded Kado as he took his hand away from Asami. Asami smiled at these words, feeling a bit relieved but still a little worried.
"I feel a bit silly for worrying since you're so capable, it's just" Asami started to say before Kado chuckled before cutting her off.
"It's alright Asami, I get why you're worried. You love me, it'd be strange if you weren't worried about me despite how capable I am" responded Kado with an amused smile.
"I just wish Korra understood this. Korra mistakes my worry for me saying she can't handle herself" stated Kado.
"Korra will come around, just give her time" responded Asami with a comforting smile before she remembered she had a gift for Kado.
"Here, I got you something" stated Asami with a blush as she handed Kado a small box.
"I know we haven't dated for very long, only a few days but I wanted to get you something nice" stated Asami with a blush as Kado examined the box.
"There's no need to be embarrassed Asami. Any gift from you is sure to be wonderful" responded Kado with a warm smile before he turned his attention towards the box he was holding.
"I hope you like it" responded Asami before Kado opened the box. Kado's eyebrows rose in surprise as he looked at what was inside the box. After taking a moment to examine Aasmi's face, Kado came to a conclusion about the gift he was given.
"Do you like it" asked Asami in a hopeful tone as Kado took out the necklace that was in the box.
"I do like it Asami but do you know what this is" asked Kado in a curious tone as he held the necklace Asami had given him.
"It's a necklace that's water tribe design. I've seen a few water tribe people wearing it so it must be a popular fashion" responded Asami, explaining her reasoning for the gift.
"Yes it is certainly water tribe design and yes water tribe citizens wear this" responded Kado with an amused smile since it was obvious that Asami didn't know the importance behind the gift she gave him.
"But this sort of necklace means something" stated Kado, Asami having a curious look at these words.
"It means something? I thought it was just a nice design you might enjoy, what does it mean" asked Asami in a curious tone.
"Asami, this sort of necklace is significant in my culture. This necklace is a betrothal necklace" responded Kado, Asami brining her hand to her mouth in shock and surprise.
"W-what?! Did you say betrothal" asked Asami in a shocked tone while Kado nodded his head.
"Yes. In my culture this necklace is given to an individual as a marriage proposal. Usually the man will carve the necklace himself and present it to the woman of his choice and if she accepts the necklace the two are betrothed" responded Kado, Asami having an embarrassed look on her face.
"Kado, I didn't know" responded Asami in an embarrassed tone, hoping that her mistake wasn't going to scare Kado away. Asami loved Kado but she knew that thinking about marriage was way too soon considering they had just started dating.
"I love you Kado but I wasn't trying to propose just now, I didn't know" Asami continued to explain, wanting Kado to understand.
"Asami it's alright, you can calm down" responded Kado with an amused smile, putting the necklace back into the box.
"It's obvious you didn't know the significance of the necklace, so everything is alright" stated Kado, his words allowing Asami to breathe a sigh of relief.
"I still feel so embarrassed to make such a mistake" responded Asami, a strong blush of embarrassment still covering her face.
"Don't worry about it Asami, it makes for an amusing story if nothing else" responded Kado with an amused smile.
"For now I think you should return this gift. It's lovely and I appreciate the thought but if I accept it then rumors will spread like wildfire" stated Kado as he handed the box back to Asami.
"Right, that would be hard to explain" responded Asami as she took the box and put it away.
"Seriously Asami don't feel bad or embarrassed about this, it was an honest mistake" responded Kado, his words letting Asami feel some relief about her mistake.
"Okay but I'm curious about something" responded Asami, her curiosity now overtaking her lingering embarrassment.
"What is it Asami" asked Kado in a curious tone.
"You said that the betrothal necklace is usually given to the woman" responded Asami, Kado nodding his head in confirmation.
"If that's the case then why have I seen so many water tribe men wearing a betrothal necklace" asked Asami in a curious tone, thinking that too many men wore the necklace for it to be unusual.
"The tradition is that the man carves the betrothal necklace and gives it to the woman. Once the woman accepts the necklace the two are betrothed but the woman will typically carve her own necklace afterwards so the man can wear one. This tradition dates back to a more tribal part of my culture, back when people would fight over mates. The wearing of necklaces lets everyone know that the man and woman are spoken for" explained Kado, Asami nodding her head in understanding.
"I see, that makes sense" responded Asami, thinking that maybe someday she should look into how to carve a necklace.
"So seeing all the water tribe citizens wearing these necklaces, I thought it was just some sort of fashion" stated Asami, some color returning to her face as she recalled her mistake.
"It was an honest mistake. You didn't know about the tradition, so you made a reasonable assumption based on the information you did have" responded Kado with a warm smile, thinking that Asami's mistake was adorable and amusing. Kado and Asami continued to enjoy each other's company during lunch, soon they were finished with their meal.
"I hope you had a good time with me Kado despite my silly mistake" stated Asami as she walked out of the restaurant while holding onto Kado's hand.
"I had a very good time Asami. Eating lunch with a beautiful woman is always nice even if she happens to accidentally propose to me" responded Kado in a teasing tone, Asami flushing in embarrassment.
"I promise next time I won't propose" responded Asami, her cheeks flushed a shade of pink due to Kado's teasing words. The two of them were standing on the sidewalk now, Asami turned to face Kado as she rested her hands on his strong chest.
"Do you have to go back to work this very moment" asked Asami in a flirty tone as she leaned towards Kado.
"You could take a little bit longer for lunch, can't you" asked Asami while her lips were mere inches away from Kado's. Kado smiled at his sexy girlfriend, his hands resting on her hips.
"I suppose I can take a little bit longer, what do you have in mind Asami" asked Kado in a flirty tone before he closed the short distance between their lips.
"Oh I think you can make a good guess" responded Asami in a flirty tone, her eyes promising that Kado would enjoy whatever she had in mind. After another hour, Kado walked back into the council building with a lot less stress. Working for a few more hours in his office, Kado stretched as he looked at the time.
"Guess it's time to meet with the rest of the task force" stated Kado to himself, hoping that everything went well. After putting on the combat wear provided for the task force, Kado walked into the meeting hall.
"Korra there you are, can we talk" asked Kado while he walked over to Korra. The meeting was about to begin but he wanted to make sure things between him and his sister were okay.
"There's nothing I want to talk to you about Kado" responded Korra still in an angry and dismissive tone. Kado had to hold his tongue, he wanted to make things right but it was obvious that Korra wasn't ready to talk with him yet.
"Okay fine, I'll give you more space but please talk to me soon. I don't think you can't handle yourself. When you're ready to talk to me, I'll be ready to listen" responded Kado before Tarrlok walked into the meeting room. Soon Kado was sitting across the meeting table from Korra while Tarrlok began to speak to the task force.
"My fellow task force deputies, tonight we will execute a raid on an underground chi-blocker training camp located in the dragon flats borough. According to my sources there is a cellar underneath this bookstore, where equalists train chi-blocking in secret" stated Tarrlok while Kado studied Korra's expression. It was obvious that something was bothering Korra, and it wasn't the argument lingering between them. Kado hoped that Korra's unspoken fears wouldn't endanger her during the raid mission. After a short ride in the back of a truck with the rest of the task force, Kado sneaked his way to the bookstore along with Tarrlok and Korra.
"Looks like your source was right" stated Kado in a low tone as he peered into a small window overlooking the cellar. Looking into the cellar, Kado could see people learning how to chi block and a flag of Amon hanging on display. After Tarrlok gave a signal, a task force member still with the truck opened a hatch to a water tank. Soon Kado along with Tarrlok, Korra and other members of the task force had water at the ready.
"Water benders first, then earth benders" stated Tarrlok in a low tone so he wasn't overheard by those inside the cellar.
Kado nodded his head in understanding. While Kado didn't like Tarrlok, he had to admit the plan of attack was solid. A sudden attack of water followed by earth benders bursting into the area, with this plan the equalists wouldn't have much time to react or counterattack. Kado along with the other water benders in the task force broke the windows with their water and quickly flooded the underground cellar. Using his bending, Kado quickly froze the water which captured serval of the equalists. Seconds after, the earth bender members of the task force used their bending to burst into the cellar. Jumping into the cellar from the created opening, Kado along with Korra and Tarrlok started to make quick work of the remaining equalists.
"Watch out" shouted Kado as an equalist tossed two gas canisters towards them. Korra reacted in time, using her water bending to encase the canisters in ice while two equalist ran out of the room. Korra ran after the two equalists before Kado could tell her to wait for backup. Running after the equalists, Korra was surprised when she tripped over a wire. The two equalists that Korra was chasing then jumped down from the ceiling, Korra was only able to react in time to take out one of her attackers. Just before the other attacker was about to hit her, the equalist was thrown to the wall with a jet of water before he was frozen.
"Nice timing" Korra said as she stood up, turning to face Tarrlok just as Kado caught up with them.
"Thanks for leaving me to clean up duty" stated Kado in a somewhat annoyed tone since he knew Tarrlok was trying to gain Korra's trust.
"I had to entrust the roundup to someone that is capable, you should be flattered" responded Tarrlok before he turned his attention to Korra in addition to Kado.
"We make a good team" stated Tarrlok, Korra nodding her head in agreement. Soon after this conversation, Kado and Korra headed home for the night since the arrests have already been made.
"I'm going to bed; you can sleep on the couch" stated Korra as she walked into Kado's apartment. Kado wanted to press the issue, force Korra to talk to him but he knew that would only lead to more arguments. If Korra was making him sleep on the couch instead of in bed with her then she hadn't calmed down yet, Kado just had to be patient.
"Sure, no problem" responded Kado as he settled in for a night of sleeping on his couch. Several days later Kado had worked with the task force to apprehend more equalists training grounds, but Korra still hadn't seem to get over her anger towards him. Kado was standing beside Tarrlok with Korra standing on the other side of Tarrlok, they were in the middle of a press conference.
"Avatar Korra and council man Kado have bravely answered the call to action. With the three of us working together while I lead the charge, Republic City has nothing to fear from Amon and the equalists" stated Tarrlok into the microphone.
"Question for the Avatar" stated a reporter before Tarrlok indicated she may continue speaking.
"Amon remains at large, why have you failed to locate him" asked the reporter. Kado inwardly groaned in frustration; he wished that the press wouldn't ask Korra about Amon since she still hadn't opened up about her fears.
"You want to know why" asked Korra as she took the microphone stand, Tarrlok stepping aside.
"Amon is hiding in the shadows like a coward" stated Korra in a defiant tone. Kado knowing Korra well enough had a good guess what Korra was about to say, he prayed to the spirits that he was wrong.
"Amon, I challenge you to a duel. No task force, no chi blockers, just the two of us tonight at midnight on Avatar Aang memorial island. Let's cut to the chase and settle this thing, if you're man enough to face me" stated Korra in a defiant tone before she walked away from the press conference. Kado swore under his breath as he chased after Korra, he needed to force a talk now.
"Korra we need to talk" stated Kado in a stern tone, Korra continuing to walk away.
"I don't want to hear it Kado" responded Korra, sure that Kado didn't believe she could win against her duel with Amon.
"Don't walk away from me, we are going to talk" responded Kado, Korra stopping to turn and face him.
"Fine, talk" responded Korra in a defensive tone, crossing her arms as she waited for Kado to speak.
"Korra challenging Amon to a duel is insane" stated Kado, Korra scoffing at these words.
"No surprise there, you think I can't take care of myself" responded Korra in an angry tone.
"Fuck Korra, I do believe in your strength" responded Kado in a frustrated tone.
"Being strong doesn't excuse you from making foolish choices" stated Kado, wishing that Korra would stop scowling at him.
"Challenging Amon is way too dangerous; I wouldn't challenge Amon to one on one combat" stated Kado.
"In case you forgot, I'm the avatar. I'm way more capable than you, I can handle Amon just fine" responded Korra in a defiant tone.
"I'm going to challenge Amon, you aren't going to talk me out of it" stated Korra, her words pushing Kado to poke at her hidden fears.
"How in the hell are you going to beat Amon when you're terrified of the guy" asked Kado, instantly regretting his words as they left his mouth. Korra had a look of surprise and hurt before it morphed into anger.
"I'm not afraid and I'll prove it when I beat Amon" responded Korra before she turned around and walked away from Kado.
"Don't follow me" stated Korra in an angry tone as she walked away from Kado. Korra felt betrayed by her big brother, the person she loved more than anything.
"Korra, please try and think about this" responded Kado, following Korra despite her words. Korra surprised Kado when she earth bender to propel him into a wall. Kado grunted in pain as he was thrown into the wall and feel to the ground.
"I said don't follow me. I'm the avatar, the avatar doesn't get afraid of anyone" stated Korra before she continued to walk away from Kado.
Kado stood up; he wasn't injured beyond some light bruising. What hurt more was that Korra had actually attacked him out of anger, her fears were throwing her out of balance more than he originally thought. Knowing that trying to stop Korra with his own bending would just lead to a battle that would cause collateral damage to public property and their relationship, Kado instead made his way to air temple island. After filling Tenzin in on what happened, Kado and the air bending master caught up with Korra just before she was about to make her way to Avatar Aang memorial island.
"Korra this is madness" stated Tenzin as he landed on the ground, Kado used his water bending to stride across the water and jump onto the dock.
"Don't try to stop me and don't follow me. I have to face Amon alone" responded Korra before glaring at Kado in defiance.
"Korra please, you're not thinking clearly" stated Kado in a pleading tone, hoping that Korra would see reason.
"You know I'm getting really tired of you treating me like I'm some defenseless kid. I'm the avatar, and I will bring Amon down" responded Korra in a defiant tone.
"This is all your fault" stated Tenzin, turning his attention towards Tarrlok.
"I tried to talk her out of it too, but she's made up her mind" responded Tarrlok in a tone that told Kado and Tenzin that he wasn't worried about Korra's safety. After Tarrlok said these words, Korra used her water bending to steer the small boat she was on towards Avatar Aang memorial island.
"We'll be watching the island closely. If anything goes wrong, I have a fleet of police airships ready to swoop down" stated Tarrlok as Korra sped towards the statue of Avatar Aang.
"Tarrlok if anything happens to my sister, I'll make sure everyone knows it is your fault" responded Kado in an angry tone, thinking he didn't care about the political consequences of smearing the representative from his sister tribe. Kado waited along with Tenzin, long after the clock struck midnight. After waiting for a while and seeing no sign of Korra returning, Kado turned to Tenzin.
"I'm starting to get a really bad feeling. Korra might be pissed at us later but I think we need to check on her" stated Kado, Tenzin nodding his head in agreement.
"Agreed, I'm starting to think something might have gone terribly wrong" responded Tenzin. After using their bending to quickly get to the island, Kado and Tenzin quickly discovered Korra collapsed on the ground.
"Aang" asked Korra in a weak tone as she started to wake up while Tenzin and Kado rushed towards her.
"Korra! Are you okay" asked Kado in a worried tone as he lifted Korra by her shoulders and held her, checking for any injuries.
"What happened? Was Amon here" asked Tenzin in a worried tone as he stood beside Kado and Korra.
"Y-yeah. He… amused me" responded Korra in a defeated tone, her words causing Kado's heart to tighten with worry and concern.
"Your bending was it taken away" asked Kado, thinking he would tear Amon apart if he took away his sister's bending. In response to Kado's question, Korra opened her palm and produced a small flame before putting it out.
"No, I'm okay" responded Korra in a defeated tone.
"Thank the spirits" responded Kado in a relieved tone. While Kado and Tenzin breathed a sigh of relief, Korra did something that shocked the both of them. Korra began to sob; Kado immediately wrapped his arms around his little sister.
"I was so terrified! I felt so helpless" sobbed Korra into Kado's strong chest as Kado held her close.
"It's okay Korra, Tenzin and I are here now. You're safe" responded Kado in a comforting tone. Kado was heartbroken at the sound of Korra's sobs but he was relieved she was finally opening up about her fear.
"You two were right. I've been scared this whole time" responded Korra between sobs, shame heavy in her voice.
"I've never felt this helpless besides the time I almost got you killed when you took me ice dodging" stated Korra, Kado still holding her close as she sobbed into his chest.
"I don't know what to do" stated Korra, her body shaking from her sobbing.
"It's alright Korra. Admitting your fears shows how strong you are. You aren't alone" responded Kado as he held Korra close.
"Admitting your fears is the first and most difficult step in overcoming them" stated Tenzin in a comforting tone as Korra continued to sob into Kado's chest.
"Just let it all out Korra, I've got you" responded Kado, holding Korra close. Korra had made the first step; Kado was going to do anything he could to help her accept her fear.
End of Chapter 18
