Our heroes are continuing on their journey and are heading for Atlas City for the Grecko League. As they continue on with their way, they are about to enter another fun time.
"Hey. What's all this?" Davis questioned. All of them were passing through a local town, stumbling across what looks like another fun festival. "Another festival? What is this one about?"
"Hey, what's that machine?" Terra questioned. They took a look and saw the machine was something two trainers were using. Two pokeballs went in and came out on the other's side.
"It's a trade machine!" Cletus said.
"A trade machine?" Terra questioned.
"Trainers use them when they trade pokemon with each other." Cletus said. He took a look around and saw that there were more of them. "There are others all around. It looks like it's some sort of trading festival." An event that revolves around trading pokemon with each other? This sounds like it could be an interesting time.

(Davis' voice): Trade Up
"So, let me get this straight." Terra said. "People use these machines to trade the pokemon they've caught? Why would people want to give away a pokemon they tried to catch?"
"I know. I'm not really sure I'm a fan of this myself." Davis said.
"There are lots of reasons to trade your pokemon." Cletus said. "They could be trying to complete their pokedex, could be easier than finding those pokemon out in the wild, or maybe they're trying to trigger some sort of evolution? Some pokemon are capable of evolving after they've been traded."
"Well, I'm not having any of these guys ask me for a trade, so let's just keep going." Davis said as he certainly didn't want to take part in this.
"Hold on a second. Look there." Terra said. They all looked to the side and spotted a young trainer there with forest green spikey hair, red shirt, and jeans. Standing near him was a Termight. However, the boy was sitting on a park bench and looked like he was contemplating, but was rather sad at the same time. "Hello there." She said as she wanted to try and help.
"Hello."
"Is everything okay? You look like there's something bothering you. Is there anything we can do to help?" Terra offered.
"Depends. Would you want to give up a great pokemon?" The boy asked.
"As if Davis would ever want to give me away. What's going on?" Imperialdramon asked.
"Let's start with introductions. My name is Cletus."
"I'm Davis, and you just met Imperialdramon. This is Nymphix."
"Nymphix."
"And my name is Terra. What's your name?" Terra asked.
"I'm Jal. This here is my very own Termight."
"Termight."
"So, what's wrong, Jal? Are you thinking of trading away Termight, but you're not certain?" Cletus questioned.
"Yeah. Something like that." Jal said. "You see, Termight here is one of my best pokemon. Termight has been a real help in my battles and such. When we heard about this place, we came to check it out. I thought it would be a great way to get new pokemon that are hard to come across, and did I struck gold. I met a trainer with an oddly colored Wispflame."
"An oddly colored Wispflame?" They all said as this sounded rather interesting.
"It all happened not that long ago..." Jal said.
...
Moments Ago
Jal and Termight were just walking around and checking the place out. A lot of people were making trades and Jal was wondering what he should trade and get what.
"Hey there." Jal turned around and was met with another trainer that was much older with teal hair yellow long-sleeved shirt and gray pants. Floating next to him was a Wispflame, but it was a different color. This Wispflame looked more like a regular flame in color rather than it's blue flame.
"Hello." Jal greeted.
"That's a nice Termight you have there. My name is Gordon. I've been wanting a Termight for a while, but I haven't had any luck on finding them. Would you be willing to trade it for my Wispflame?"
"For your Wispflame?! Wow! That Wispflame is even a different color!" Jal said.
"So, what do you say? Trade?" Gordon asked.
"Trade my Termight? Uh... I don't know." Jal said. That's how it all started. Someone is offering to give his oddly colored pokemon? That sounded like a trade anyone would take, but Jal is a little hesitant because Termight is one of his best and favorite pokemon. Should he trade it away?
...
"That's what happened. I told Gordon I needed a little time to think about it because Termight is one of my best pokemon. He said he understood, but also warned me that I better decide before he trades away Wispflame with someone else." Jal said. "That's what I'm trying to decide. Should I trade my Termight for his Wispflame?"
"I can see your conundrum." Cletus said. "You don't want to give up one of your best pokemon, but it sounds like this Gordon is offering a trade that is really hard to come by."
"I really don't get it." Davis claimed. "If Termight is one of your best like you say, why would you want to give it away to someone else? Sure, this Wispflame sounds like it would be an awesome pokemon, but it can't take the place of all the memories you have with Termight."
"I know, but this sounds like a great chance to get a pokemon I might not come by again." Jal said. "I don't know what to do. I don't want to give away Termight, but at the same time I would love to have Wispflame."
"It does sound like it would be a tough call." Cletus said. "You don't want to look back with regrets when you're making a trade."
"Well, why don't you just go and find another Termight?" Terra questioned. "If you catch that one and trade that one with this Gordon, it wouldn't be as hard. You just caught that second Termight, so it wouldn't be as bad if you traded that one away." When she suggested that, it hit all of them that it might actually work.
"Hey! That's not a bad idea!" Davis said. "You won't be trading away the Termight you're close with because you just caught a second one. If Gordon is fine with that, you've got nothing to worry about."
"But we better make sure the Termight is a tough one. We wouldn't want Gordon to be disappointed in the trade or feel like he got ripped off." Cletus said. "We need to catch one that makes him think it was worth the trade."
"Yeah! That could work! Gordon had trouble catching a Termight, but it won't be so hard for me because I already got one!" Jal said. "But what about Gordon? What if he trades his Wispflame for something else while he's gone?"
"No worries. I'll stay behind and keep an eye on him while you all look for a second Termight." Terra said.
"Perfect. We better move fast before anything happens." Davis said. All of them agreed to the plan. With Davis and the others helping, they all hurried off to find a second Termight so that Jal can keep the one he has while also getting himself a shiny Wispflame.
...
The Woods
"Jal, do you have any idea where we can find a second Termight?" Davis questioned. "Are there any that live nearby?"
"Yeah. I know a spot where you might be able to find a few." Jal said. All of them hurried as fast as they could with Jal leading the way. Jal soon brought them to a rocky area of the place. "This place stretches out for miles. There are bound to be some Termight around here. They're always trying to build themselves nests and homes."
"So if we look around, we might be able to spot one." Imperialdramon said.
"But I think it might be best if we stay above ground." Cletus said. "Remember what happened last time we dealt with Termights in their own home. They can create a maze-like structure. If we go in one after them, we'll end up wasting our time."
"Good point. Let's stay above ground, and hopefully we'll find one soon. We don't know how much time we have." Davis said.
"If we find one, we'll call out for you Jal and try to keep the Termight above ground." Cletus said.
"Sounds good." Jal said. All of them split-up and went to try and find at least one good Termight that would make for a good trade.
...
Terra
While the guys were searching around for a Termight that Jal can trade away, Terra was going to keep eye on Gordon to make sure that Jal doesn't miss his chance to get Wispflame. She searched around until she spotted Gordon on his own and just hanging around.
"There. That must be Gordon, and it doesn't look like he's made any trade yet." Terra said. She kept an eye on them and soon spotted his Wispflame. "Good. He's still got his Wispflame. Wow! I can't believe it really is a different color! I wonder what causes that." As Terra was amazed with Wispflame, she wasn't the only one. Other trainers were coming at Gordon and trying to get them to trade with him for his Wispflame. "Oh no! What do I do?! How do I stop them from trading?!"
"Slowpoke."
"Huh?" Terra looked down and saw Slowpoke was out on it's own. "What are you doing out?" She asked as she lifted Slowpoke out. "I don't have time to be playing around, Slowpoke. I'm in the middle of something."
"Hey! That's a great Slowpoke you have there!" Terra took a look and noticed a few other trainers were with her and admiring her Slowpoke. "It's got a nice shiny coat to it."
"And just look at it. It must be thinking of something so intelligent and intellectual. I can only imagine what it insightful thoughts it holds."
"My Slowpoke? Intelligent? Intellectual? Insightful?" Terra questioned as she couldn't see that.
"How about trading it for my Butterfree?"
"I'll trade you my Morphoris for it."
"How about my Salazzle?!" All of them were asking to trade Terra for her Slowpoke, and they all sound like Terra's kind of pokemon.
"I'm not trading for anything!" Terra said with her hurrying off before someone actually tries to take Slowpoke from her. Despite how Slowpoke makes her feel, she wouldn't have traded away Slowpoke after all that they have been through together. Still, it amazed her what people were willing to offer to have Slowpoke and how they viewed it. "Who knew you were valuable?"
"Slowpoke..." Did Slowpoke do that on purpose just to prove something to Terra?
...
Davis
Meanwhile, Davis and the others were still looking around for a strong Termight that they can trade, but they haven't had much luck on finding anything. Davis searched around the area, but there was no sign of one anywhere.
"I don't see one anywhere. How hard can it be to find one little bug?" Davis questioned.
"It's possible they might be underground, but how can we be so sure?" Imperialdramon questioned. If the Termight really are down in the ground, how can they lure them out or even check to see if they really are down there?
"Nymphix." Nymphix lend a hand. She floated down on the ground and was trying something.
"What's Nymphix doing?" Davis questioned.
"Isn't Nymphix part psychic-type? Maybe Nymphix is trying to sense if there is any Termight down there." Imperialdramon figured. It sounded like that could be helpful. Nymphix tried to sense if there really was a Termight right underneath its feet.
"Nymph... Nymphix!"
"She found something!" Imperialdramon said.
"Great! Jal! Come here! I think we might have something!" Davis called.
"I'm coming!" Jal called as he and the others hurried over. "You found one?"
"Nymphix can sense something right beneath our feet." Davis said. "All we have to do now is find a way to lure it to the surface and then you can try to catch it."
"I already have the part taken care of." Jal said. "Termight, you know what to do."
"Termight." Jal's Termight shook its antennas and just stood there, but there was a faint color floating in the air.
"What's it doing?" Cletus asked.
"Termight are able to communicate with each other by emitting a pheromone." Jal said. "If there is a Termight underground, there has to be an opening in the ground somewhere. Right now, my Termight is probably calling it out for a challenge. All we have to do now is wait. It shouldn't be too long now." All of them waited for a response.
"Termight!" All of them watched and saw another one appear out of the ground and was taking the challenge.
"There it is! that Termight is the one that's going to be for Gordon!" Jal said. "Time for a battle." Jal and his own Termight were ready for battle, but the wild one attacked first with it firing mud bomb and blasting Jal's with it.
"That Termight sure isn't wasting any time!" Cletus said. The wild one attacked again with it getting ready to use Bug Bite.
"Termight, Rock Tomb!" Jal asked. His own Termight caused rocks to form around the wild one and put the squeeze on it. He thought he had it, but the wild one broke free and kept going. Then, it switched to using Dig. "Where did it go?" Jal and his own Termight kept their eyes open for it, but then the wild one emerged right from under Jal's and knocked it in the air.
"Wow! That Termight really is tough!" Cletus said.
"Termight, try your own Bug Bite!" Jal called. Termight tried to keep battling and tried to attack the wild one again, but the wild Termight used Stone Edge and knocked Jal's out. "Oh no!"
"Do something or it's going to escape!" Cletus called.
"No, it's not! Imperialdramon, Imperial Flight!" Davis called as he acted fast. Imperialdramon flew right right at the wild Termight and smashed against it with its power. Once that happened, Imperialdramon grabbed a hold of it.
"Now, Jal! Throw a pokeball while we still have it!" Imperialdramon called.
"Right! I got it!" Jal said. He threw a pokeball and it hit against the wild Termight. It went on inside and all them hoped that did the trick. They waited a moment before the pokeball dinged and the Termight was caught. "Yes! That did it! It worked!"
"Great! Let's take this Termight to Gordon and hope that it isn't too late!" Davis said as their plan might actually work.
...
The Trade Festival
Jal and the others were able to make it back in time. Gordon still hadn't traded away that shiny Wispflame, so Jal still had a chance. Once Jal made it back, he met up with Gordon and the two of them could make a trade.
"Thanks for waiting." Jal said. "I'm sorry it took so long, but I didn't want to give away the Termight I love. What I did do was go and catch another one for you so that we could still trade. This one is really tough."
"No worries. I figured it had something to do with that." Gordon said. "You're lucky I still have Wispflame. So, we still making that trade?"
"Yeah. Let's do it." Jal said. Both of them placed their pokeballs in the machine and activated it all of them watched as the screen showed their two pokemon switching over to other trainers. The trade ended up being a success. "Is that it?"
"Yeah. Let's see our new pokemon." Gordon said. They both called out their new pokemon and let them out for them to see their trade was complete. "Thanks for my new Termight."
"And thanks for this incredible Wispflame." Jal said.
"Wow. So that's what trading is like." Terra said.
"Yeah. That wasn't a bad idea, but I'm not really sure trading pokemon is really for me." Davis said.
"That's perfectly fine. Trading is just another way to make pokemon fun." Cletus claimed.
Trading pokemon might not be vital, but it sure can be fun. You can get one great pokemon for another. There are many ways to get incredible pokemon, but it isn't for everyone, and that's just fine. Our heroes are sure to find even more incredible pokemon as they continue on with their journey.
