I'm back! Took a break to write a story that came to me in a dream.
Now that the Triplets have been born, let's see what happens next?
As promised, Artemis was released from prison on the bail posted by Mr. Valdez. She was now dressed in a pair of loose fitting jeans, and a light grey sweat shirt. As she walked out of one of the gates, her eyes fell on Roland. She ran to him and when she was close enough to do so, she threw her arms around his neck, and kissed him.
Roland instinctively wrapped his arms around her mid-section, kissing her back. He eventually broke the kiss, then said, "Let's get you back to my home, far away from here."
They walked the very short distance to his old and beat up car, which he opened the passenger's door for her. However, the car's door didn't cooperate. Roland had to put a little more muscle into the action than he thought, and accidentally broke the door handle, causing him to fall on his butt.
Artemis laughed at his misfortune, while Roland lightly scowled at her, then said as he lifted himself up from the ground, "You thought that was funny?"
"Sorry, Roland. But I did," she responded, through a series of giggles.
Roland looked at her beautiful face, as she tried her best not to laugh again, then laughed at the situation, himself.
This caused Artemis to break down and laugh again.
Roland closed the distance between him and her, laughing just as hard as she was. Then at the last second, he kissed her, nice and hard.
Artemis returned his kiss, with a passion, she didn't even know she had.
Roland heard a few snickers from the guards, arriving for their shift. He pulled back from the kiss, but didn't let her go. "Let's go home, I still have to tell my parents you are staying with me, as well as you are my fiancee." He said.
The ride to his home took about a half-an-hour, but during that time, Roland held her left paw in his, tightly. He kept looking at her, wanting to pull off to the side of the road, so he could kiss her again.
They did arrive at Roland's house and pulled into the driveway. Roland shut off the car, leaned over to Artemis, quickly kissed her, then said, "Come on, my parents are waiting." And got out of the car.
Her nervousness increased the longer she looked at the simple two floor house. She almost jumped out of her seat when Roland opened the door for her.
"You ok, Artemis," Roland asked, concerned for her.
She looked up at him, then asked, "Roland, are you sure you want to marry me, considering I'm a criminal, waiting to be put on trial for crimes that are so heinous, I'm going to be facing the Death Penalty?"
He pulled her out of the car, held onto her tightly, then said, "I'm in love with you, Artemis. I know what you have done in your past, it doesn't change the way I feel about you. I want you to be my wife, the she-cat I get to come home to at the end of the day, the she-cat who I hope will give me kittens, some time in the far future."
"I want those things as well, Roland," she said as she embraced him. "I want to be your wife, I want to see my wonderful husband, watching me, teaching my students how to dance, and I want to give you those kittens, how ever many Bast will grant us with."
He pulled his head back, kissed her, then said, "I want my parents to meet the she-cat, who makes my heart beat in my chest. They are going to love you, just like I do."
Roland led her into the house and closed the door behind him. "Welcome to my home," he said.
Artemis looked around the small living room and saw a couch along the left wall, that was probably almost as old as Roland, a pair of chairs with a table lamp between the two to her left, a TV sitting on top of an older Console TV ahead of her, and a door, that she assumed, led into a kitchen.
"My mother is probably in the kitchen, getting dinner ready," Roland said before he took her right paw. In his left and led her towards the door.
He pushed the door open, let go of Artemis' paw, and went over to hug a slightly portly she-cat with graying long brown hair and cream colored fur. "Hi, mom," he said.
His mother stopped what she was doing, and embraced her son. "You almost missed dinner, Roland. What was so important, you had to up and leave?" She asked.
Roland let go of his mother, went over to Artemis, then said, "Mom, I want you to meet Artemis, the she-cat I'm engaged to marry."
His mother almost passed out when she heard that. She grasped the counter behind her, supporting her weight. Then when she was able to stand on her own, she asked, "I didn't know you were even seriously seeing someone, Roland? How long have you two been together?"
"Only a few months, mom. But I love her, and she loves me. I asked her to marry me a few days ago, and she said yes," Roland said.
His mother looked past her son to Artemis, then asked, "Roland is a little young to be asking anyone for their paw. Do you really feel the same way about him?"
"Roland is not much younger than I am, and yes, I feel the same way about him. I love your son," Artemis answered.
"You're not pregnant with his kitten, Artemis?" She asked, narrowing her eyes.
"Mother!" Roland almost yelled.
Artemis lifted the corner of her mouth, then answered, "No, I'm not pregnant with his kitten, yet. Someday, after he graduates college, I might be talked into becoming a mother, but not now."
"Good, I know what happens when a beautiful she-cat is dating a younger tom from being a Social Worker. Go and take a seat, my husband should be home anytime. I'm quite sure he is going to want to meet you." She said before returning to making dinner for her family.
Roland pulled out a chair which sat in front of an old white Formica table for Artemis to sit down in, if she wanted to. Which she did. "Thank you, Roland," she said, right before she grabbed ahold of his shirt, pulled him down to her level, and kissed him, right in front if his mother.
Roland felt her lips on his and returned her kiss, deepening it even further.
Roland's mother turned around in time to see Artemis' left paw lowering itself down her son's back and resting comfortably on the base of his tail. "Not in my kitchen you two! If you both want to have sex, you have a bedroom, down in the basement, Roland!"
Roland instantly stood back up, breaking the spell Artemis had on him. He looked down at her, then over to his mother, and said, "Sorry mom."
"Don't apologize to me, young man! Just make sure, that is put away before your father gets home," she said, pointing at the front of his pants.
Artemis looked at where she was pointing, then smiled, knowing she could get Roland to react that way, from a not-so-simple kiss.
"I'm going to take a shower, be back soon," Roland said before leaving the kitchen, covering the front half with his paws.
Callie was released from the hospital only after three days after giving birth. All three girls were healthy and gaining weight at the normal rate.
As much as Daniella wanted her and the kittens to remain in her care for another few days, the Hospital's Policy required her to release them. "Any inkling of anything going wrong with the girls, call me immediately, then come back here," she ordered.
"We will, I promise. But I don't think we are going to need to do that," Chance said, looking over to Callie, who was playing with the three girls.
Over the past few days, all three girls opened their eyes, revealing these pools of light green that were a shade lighter than their mother's. As soon as Chance and Henry saw them with their eyes open, Chance fell deeper in love with them, if that was possible and Henry thought he was looking down at three of Bast's servants. Little did he know, Callista, Kate, and Mary were actually descendants of Bast. "They are gorgeous! Please, bring them by the house. Mary is going to fall madly in love with them, once she sets her eyes on them, that is," Henry stated.
"Of course, Henry," Callie said. "It might be a few weeks before they are ready to travel, but once they are, we will gladly bring them by so they can meet your wife."
As Henry and Callie bantered, Chance took the opportunity to pack up his kittens' things, including the three amulets, 'One of Callie's relatives must have left after an un-expected visit. My girls are going to have a wild ride ahead of them. I wonder what is in store for them, as they grow?' He thought, zipping up the bag containing Callie's and the girls' things.
"Don't worry too much Chance," Ptah said. "I'll do my best to keep, my loving wife under control, as much as possible. However, she is much more powerful than I am. I can't guarantee, she won't decide to pop in from time to time."
'This is what I have to look forward to? Callie's relatives, making unscheduled appearances, in both our minds and our lives," Chance thought.
Ptah laughed up in the heavens at Chance. Once he calmed down, he said, "We are family, despite two of us being ethereal. My wife and I care for our family, deeply. However, I promise, we will give you and your wife some privacy to raise your kittens. By the way, those amulets are from Bast's father. He is paying special attention to your daughters."
'Why would Ra, have any interest in my daughters?'
"Are you kidding? How often are three sorceresses born from the same mother, within minutes of each other? Not often. Your daughters are going to surpass your wife's abilities, with time and training of course. Plus, he's going to be paying particular attention to their choices of toms. Per him, only the best for his family,"
Chance's mouth dropped open. His girls were only born a few days ago, he was no where ready to hear that Callie's great-great grandfather had an interest in their Romantic choices.
"My Father-in-Law loves your daughters. He only wants what's best for them. I think Bast is planning something big for their First Birthday. See you soon," Ptah said.
Chance smirked, then said, "See you soon." He threw his family's bag over his shoulder, walked over to Callie, then said, "Let's get you and our daughters home." Then the new family left the room.
They arrived in the parking lot, where Chance parked Callie's Green Sedan. But instead of her car sitting there, in its place was a brand new, black minivan that appeared to be lowered by an inch, had custom wheels installed, and a red racing stripe running from the hood to the tailgate. "Where's my car?" Callie asked.
"I have no idea," Chance answered. He went over to the minivan and gave the Driver's door handle a tug. It opened, revealing a black leather with red stitching interior. As well as a note attached to the steering wheel. He took the note off of the wheel, opened the envelope, and withdrew the note. 'Chance, Felina and I couldn't let you bring home your precious cargo in Callie's car. Between all the times you modified it and her wrecking it. It was a rolling death trap. This minivan is rated one of the Safest out there. Plus, I made a few modifications to make it, more acceptable to you. Under the hood is a Twin turbocharged engine mated to an eight speed transmission. The suspension had been modified so it will handle almost as good as your Barracuda. Have fun with it, Jake' Chance put the note away as he said, "This is Jake's and Felina's doing." He looked inside and dead center of the Driver's airbag was the insignia of the SWAT Kats. He noticed the theme embroidered into the seats, the carpet, and in the headliner. "Jake went all out on this." Went around to the right side of the van and gave the sliding door's handle a light tug. The door slid itself open, revealing a set of Car Seats, especially made for the girls. The bright red bases with black cushioning, and, black straps with red piping to hold the kittens tightly into the seats. "How much did Jake spend on this?" He asked.
Chance went over to where he parked Callie in her wheelchair, unlocked the wheels, and wheeled her, and their kittens over to the van. "I'm going to have a long talk with my sister, when I see her. She and Jake can't be spoiling our kittens, with expensive gifts, no matter how thoughtful they are," Callie said.
Chance took the girls from Callie and strapped them into their seats, before he helped Callie out of the chair and into the passenger's seat of the van.
One of the girls let out a light mew from the back, which caused both parents to turn, and gaze back at the girls. "I can't believe we made three adorable little girls," Chance said.
"I still can't' believe I gave birth to them. It's about an hour to the house, can we get going, while they are asleep?" She asked.
"Of course, my dear," Chance said, before he kissed her, then said, "You know, we still need to get married. What do you say, we take care of that, in two weeks?"
Callie threw her arms around his neck, then said, "Yes! I can't wait to be your wife!"
Chance hugged her back, then said, "I can't wait until you're my wife." He let her go, closed the door, peeked inside of the van at his daughters, one last time, before returning to the driver's side, slipping in, closing the door, and driving away.
An hour later, they arrived at the house and discover the gates were open.
"Who opened the gates to the house?" Callie asked.
"Whoever did open them, I hope they didn't run into Persival or Isis," Chance said.
Chance drove up the rest of the way to the rear of the house and parked the van. He opened the driver's door and slipped out of the van, before making his way over to Callie and helping her out of the van.
"Thank you, Chance," She said as she slipped her legs out. Then as she stood, she started to wobble on her feet.
Chance instantly grabbed her around the shoulders, holding her up, and asking, "Are you alright?"
"I'm alright, now," she answered. "I need to go back to the gym, my legs feel almost like dead weight from not being used."
"Not until Daniella says it ok, you won't. You gave birth to three, very beautiful girls a few days ago. Your body needs to heal, and until you are back on your feet, I will be at your Beck and Call, getting you and the girls anything you need." He said.
She caressed his left cheek, as she said, "That is so sweet of you. But won't you be missed?"
"David can go scratch a post for all I care. What matters the most to me is right here," Chance said.
Callie kissed him, until one of the girls woke up from her slumber and started to cry.
"I'll get her," Chance said, letting Callie go to retrieve his daughter, before she woke up her sisters. He opened the side door, looked inside to see which one of his daughters was awake, and noticed it was Kate, serenading everyone in earshot. He reached inside of the van to unbuckle the crying kitten from her seat, followed by lifting her into his arms, and saying, "Daddy's got you."
Kate almost instantly stopped crying and cooed into her father.
Chance felt warm all over as he held his daughter. "I love this, how do we keep them from growing up, so I can hold my little girls anytime I, or they want, Callie?"
"Unfortunately for us, we can't," Callie said. "I want them to stay like this too." She then noticed a few cars, parked over by the house, then said, "I think we have company."
"I guess our family is here. Shall we introduce the girls to our family?"
They removed the last two girls from the van and walked up to the house.
Callie took a key out of her purse and inserted it into the lock. She gave the key a firm twist to the left, opening the door.
Persival sat in the living room with Isis and three little surprises of his own. He heard the door opening and took a defensive stance. His large wings extended from his body, his eyes narrowed, focused on the door, and he let out a low growl.
"Persival, dear," Isis cooed. "Its probably Callie, or Callista. Go greet your mistresses properly."
Persival folded his wings tightly to his body, briefly kissed his mate, and left to go and greet who was entering.
Callie opened the door and as soon as she entered, she heard, "Welcome to your new home, mistress."
Her eyes went wide as she heard Persival's voice from the other side of the door. She opened the door the door the rest of the way to see Persival, sitting a few feet away, his tail swaying back and forth, and a smile on his face. She couldn't stop herself from going to him and falling to her knees to embrace Persival. "I've got three little surprises for you and Isis to meet, Persival," she said.
Persival rested his head on her right shoulder, brought his left wing around her, and said, "I have three little surprises, myself, mistress."
Callie puled back from him so she could look into Persival's eyes, then asked, "Isis had the cubs?"
"Yes, she did. You will meet them soon. But first, where are your little angels?" Persival asked.
Chance entered the house, carrying two of his daughters in his left arm and one on the right. He crouched down in front of Persival, then said, "Persival, these are our daughters. Please meet, Callista, Kate, and Mary."
Persival took one look at the girls and a tear formed in his left eye. "They are just as beautiful as my mistress is." He stood up of his four legs, then said, "Come with me and meet my two sons and daughter."
The six walked out of the living room, down the hall, to a room that was to the left of the kitchen. Persival nudged the door open with his muzzle and entered. He walked over to Isis and stood proudly to her left, every once in a while, his gaze shifted to the three tiny cubs, resting peacefully by her chest.
Callie and Chance entered the room and saw Persival standing as tall as ever. Isis laying on her right with her legs tight to her body, and finally the three little cubs. One was all black with white wings, just like Persival, another was all white and adorned with white wings, and the third, was a a mixture of the two. Its head was as black as night, while its upper body was ghostly white and its lower half matched its head.
"Master and mistress, will it please you to meet mine and my mate's cubs," Persival said.
"Oh Persival! They are so adorable!" Callie gushed.
"My first son, is named, Osiris. He is the one that resembles his father. My daughter is named, Artemis. She is just as beautiful as her mother. My second son is named, Tobias. I envision him doing great good in his life, as well as being a fearless protector of this family," Persival proudly stated.
"I know you love and are proud of your cubs. But your cubs and I need to rest. They will be up soon and want to feed, yet again," Isis said before she laid herself down to rest.
"My apologies, Isis. We will leave you to rest. Pleasant dreams, my eternal love," Persival said as he ushered Callie and Chance out of the room.
Once the door was safely closed, Persival said, "Your family is outside, waiting to welcome your daughters."
