Calming Lord Kleavor
After over an hour of walking, or riding in Lola, Lisa, Lily, Luna, and Lana's case; the group and Lincoln's Pokemon have returned to the Grandtree Arena where Lian and Irida were waiting.
"Man, I hope we get Ride Pokemon soon." muttered Lori.
"Hey, Lian!" said Lana.
"Greetings, Galaxy Team." replied Lian.
"Hey, Lian; we have a plan on how to quell Lord Kleavor's frenzy." said Lincoln.
"Is that so?" said Lian.
"Yeah; we're going to mash Lord Kleavor's favorite food into balls and throw them at him." said Lincoln.
"Acutally; I'm the one who's going to throw them; Linc here's going to provide backup from Lord Kleavor with his Pokemon." said Lynn, flexing her arm.
"Well, that's quite an unorthodox approach." said Lian. "You Galaxy people; your inventiveness just blows me away."
"So, now we can make offerings to Lord Kleavor from a safe distance." said Lisa.
"I will lend you my aid if it means might provide Lord Kleavor with his offering." said Lian. "Let's begin at once!"
"Yeah!" replied the Loud Siblings.
"Hold on; don't get ahead of yourselves." said Irida who was arriving with a large, bulging, sack. "Whatever the plan is, you'll need Lord Kleavor's favorite Plump Beans; I've brought them."
"My apologies, Irida; I've forgotten about you." said Lian.
"I don't think Linky has." Leni whispered to her sisters, making them giggle.
"I admit, as we haven't been able to solve this ourselves, we seem to have little choice but to turn to the Galaxy Team." said Irida. "But even I still have my doubts about whether we should entrust such a thing to outsiders. These Galaxy Team people don't share our customs or our values." She then looks at Lincoln and walks to him.
"But like everyone in the Pearl Clan, Lincoln here also keeps his Pokemon outside their pokeballs." said Irida, rubbing Lincoln's cheek, making him blush. She turned towards the others. "But one of you will have to prove you're all worthy to stand in the presence of our noble Pokemon."
"And how do we do that?" asked Lola.
"Defeat me in a Pokemon battle." said Irida. She looks at a quadrupedal, light blue Pokemon with two, teal dangling flaps on its head and dark blue feet, tail tip, and the tips of its flaps walking over to her.
"What is that Pokemon?" asked Luan.
"It's lovely." said Leni.
"This is Glaceon." replied Irida. "So, which of you will battle me?" Lola hops off Ponyta.
"If it will hurry things along, then I will battle you." said Lola.
"Very well." said Irida. Soon, Lola and Ponyta stood several feet from Irida and Glaceon while the rest of the Loud siblings and Lian watched.
"Glaceon, use Quick Attack!" said Irida. Glaceon charges at Ponyta with incredible speed and rams her, knocking her back.
"Flame Wheel!" said Lola. Ponyta charges at Glaceon while surrounded by a wheel of fire and rams Glaceon, dealing super effective damage; fire surrounds Glaceon's body.
"I believe Glaceon is burned." said Lisa.
"Glaceon, use Swift!" said Irida. Glaceon jumps up and releases multiple stars from its body and they hit Ponyta.
"Ponyta, use Tackle!" said Lola. Ponyta runs at Glaceon and rams it, knocking it back. Glaceon flinches in pain from its burn and it collapes.
"It would seem burn has taken its toll on Glaceon; Lola is the victor." said Lisa.
"Yeah, baby!" cheered Lola. Irida runs to Glaceon.
"Are you okay, Glaceon?" asked Irida. Glaceon nods weakly in response. Irida looks at the Louds. "I see; pokeballs are simply your tools of choice, not products of disregard for Pokemon; you still understand the Pokemon you caught you treat as partners."
"Of course." replied Lincoln.
"I feel better putting my trust in you all; let me see to your Ponyta's wounds." said Irida.
"Thanks, Irida." said Lincoln, making Irida blush.
"Now, explain the Galaxy Team's plan; what do you mean to do with these foods?" asked Irida.
"First, we're going to mash these foods into balls, then Lynn will throw them at Lord Kleavor from a safe distance so we can quell Lord Kleavor's frenzy." said Lincoln.
"Interesting; so you've developed soothing balms of sorts to calm our lord." said Irida. "Very well, if it'll help soothe Kleavor's frenzy, let's make these balms with our very hearts and souls."
Everyone gathered around in a circle with the sack of Plump Beans in the middle and they got to work. Lincoln and Irida were sitting next to each other; after Lincoln finished another ball, he reaches towards the sack, unaware Irida was doing the same; when they reached into the sack, their hands touched; Lincoln and Irida looked at each other before looking away, blushing. Lincoln lets Irida get Plump Beans out of the sack first before him.
Five minutes later, the group was looking at a cylinder-shaped basket that had small pouches in it.
"I think that should do it." said Lori.
"Should we get started?" asked Lian.
"The sooner, the better." said Rei.
"Ready, Lincoln?" asked Lynn.
"As I'll ever be." said Lincoln.
"What type of Pokemon is Kleavor?" asked Lisa.
"It's part bug and part rock." said Lian. Lincoln then looks at his Pokemon that were standing nearby.
"Buizel, let's do this." said Lincoln. Buizel nods and runs over to him and stands at his side.
"Ready yourselves; and I shall summon Lord Kleavor!" said Lian.
"Okay." said Lynn and Lincoln in unison. Lian walks over to an altar in front of the Grandtree Arena and looks down into the open area around it.
"Oh, mighty Kleavor, Lord of the Woods!" Lian said. "Though it isn't the time of ceremony, we've prepared an offering of your favorite things. Benevolent lord who works his might between the heavens and earth, we offer our gratitude; and beseech you, reveal yourself to our eyes."
"Listen well, Lincoln and Lynn; keep your focus on Kleavor!" Irida says to the two Loud siblings. "Dodging will be vital. Try to avoid his moves as you're throwing your balms!"
"Got it!" said Lynn as she puts the basket of balms on her back while Lincoln grabs a few for himself.
"Graaashaaa!" something shouts out, startling everyone.
"What was that?!" asked the twins as they held each other with fear.
"Lord Kleavor approaches!" said Lian.
"Let's get in there, Lincoln!" said Lynn as she runs into the open area with Lincoln and Buizel following after her. As they look around, they see a large, mantislike Pokemon with axe blades on the end of its pincers, bathed in a golden glow, run around them very fast, slashing whole trees in half as it does.
"That's Lord Kleavor!" said Lian.
"Whoa!" said Lincoln as he and Buizel get themselves ready. The Pokemon, now known as Kleavor leaps into the area where the Loud siblings and Buizel were waiting.
"Let's do this!" said Lynn as she sets the basket down and grabs a couple of balms. She starts throwing them at Kleavor at high speed, scoring direct hits as she does.
"Such power and accuracy." said Lian. Lincoln joins in and throws the two balms he had at Kleavor, hitting him as well. Kleavor gets into a stance as it stares the Loud siblings down.
"Get ready; I think he's going to attack!" said Lynn. As soon as a glint appear in Kleavor's eyes, he moves at the Loud siblings as it swings its blades at them.
"Watch out!" said Lincoln as he, Lynn, and Buizel dive to the side.
"Keep throwing!" said Lynn as she throws a few balms at Kleavor. The Pokemon starts drawing energy into itself before releasing it, making a blast of wind that hits the Loud siblings and Buizel, knocking them back.
"Lincoln!" shouts Irida.
"Be careful you two!" said Lori. The three get up, just as Kleavor gets into a familiar stance; Lincoln looks around to see a cliff wall behind him and gets an idea.
"Come and get me, Lord Kleavor!" said Lincoln.
"Lincoln, what are you doing?!" asked Luan. Lincoln sees the glint in Kleavor's eyes and dives to the side as he moves quickly towards him, narrowly missing with his swipe, and crashes into the cliff wall, stunning him.
"Buizel, use Water Pulse!" said Lincoln. Buizel summons a mass of water between his hands and launches it at Kleavor, hitting him, and knocking him down.
"Throw balms at him while he's stunned!" said Lian. Lynn does so and hits Lord Kleavor a dozen times before he gets back up and starts stumbling around a bit.
"I think he's at his limits." said Lian.
"Keep it up, guys!" said Lori. Lincoln and Lynn work in unison as they pelt Kleavor repeatedly with balms, while he gets a few lucky shots in on them as well; before he suddenly falls to his knees; for good measure, Lynn throws one more balm at Kleavor, causing the aura covering him to explode and leave his body.
"They did it!" said Leni. Everyone watches as the gold glow leaves Kleavor, showing him as a light brown mantis Pokemon with black rocks framing his face and shoulders, and with black stone axe blades for hands. Lincoln and Lord Kleavor look at each other.
"Are you okay, Lord Kleavor?" asked Lincoln. Kleavor nods in response; he then gives Lincoln a small, light green stone slab to him.
"Hey; that looks like what Wyrdeer gave us, but this one's light green." said Luna. Lord Kleavor then runs off. The rest of the Loud sisters, Irida, and Lian approached Lincoln and Lynn.
"What was that?" asked Lian. "Some kind of light erupted from Lord Kleavor's body." He turned towards Lincoln and Lynn. "Has Lord Kleavor's frenzied mind truly been put at ease now?"
"I hope so." replied Lincoln.
"Does this confirm that the strange lightning was to blame for Kleavor's unnatural power?" asked Irida.
"I'm not sure." replied Lincoln.
"Well, this is what I think, after all we've seen." said Irida. "We know strange lightning came from out of the space-time rift the other night; those bolts must have struck Kleavor and driven him to his frenzy after all."
"That's a possibility." said Lisa.
"The lightning came from the space-time rift?" asked Lian. "But if almighty Sinnoh really does dwell beyond the space-time rift, then the strange lightning, it indeed was almighty Sinnoh's power. Then were we right to even interfere?"
"I happily went along went along with this plan to make some balms, as if I knew what I was doing, like some kind of thoughtless fool! Outrageous!" exclaimed Lian.
"Calm yourself, Lian." said Irida. "Remember that the Lord of the Woods has long been our protector, keeping the Pearl Clan safe from dangerous Pokemon that might harm us. Would power sent by the true almighty Sinnoh have driven Kleavor to turn on us and attack people and Pokemon indiscriminately? I doubt it. What Lincoln and Lynn accomplished just now, it had to be done."
"So, what now?" asked Lincoln.
"I'm glad we could settle this without further strife with the Diamond Clan or the Galaxy Team." said Irida. All of a sudden, the same splitting headache that afflicted the Loud siblings at the Heights Camp appears, making the Loud siblings cringe in pain.
"What's wrong?" asked Lian. As the Loud siblings endure their headaches, they see another vision; this time of a woman with blonde hair; wearing a salmon pink-colored shirt, brown pants, and black shoes. Soon, the headache vanishes, leaving everyone in confusion.
"Did you all see that?" asked Lori.
"A woman." said Luna. Lincoln does a quick painting of what he saw and shows everyone.
"Is this her?" asked Lincoln.
"Yeah!" said Lynn.
"She's... our mother!" said Lori.
"Rita Loud!" said Luan.
"Mommy!" said the twins.
"What's going on?" asked Akari.
"This happened when we got that pink tablet from Wyrdeer." said Lori.
"It seems that collecting these restores our memories one by one." said Lisa.
"At least we remember our parents now." said Lincoln.
"Yeah." said Luna.
The Galaxy Team has calmed Lord Kleavor and the Loud siblings regained another memory. Will they recover more as their work with the Galaxy Team continues?
