After he sends a clone back home to look after things Naruto sets out to face Madara Uchiha and his tree of doom, getting refreshed by a deity is great, Naruto thinks. Not even the slightest ache in his muscles. His chakra system is no longer hurting, and his ability to go into sage mode is ready again. As he mentally prepared to battle for the future of the nations he had to think about all the things that happened and how he always had people that helped him. The Uzumaki Mentor Scroll had started him on a journey that he had never expected. How Mito Uzumaki had treated him like a grandson. The training with his parents. Oh how often had thought to revive them, but that would have angered the Shinigami. Looking at how things unfolded he was very happy that he did not go down that path. He could talk to the Kage Bunshin in the mentor scroll but even that he had done less over time. Even if they were Bunshin and as such not the main part of their being he had found some truth in what the Shinigami said about the rest of those that came before him and how cruel it was to unrest them. Everything considered Naruto hoped that when he joined them much later in the afterlife those parts of them, the real ones, would be proud of what he achieved. He had completed his studies in Fuinjutsu. Had also freed the Biju and served the Shinigami as, well as what did he serve him? Enforcer? Well, he got missions to kill people not much different from the Shinobi.
So he was a Shinobi in the Shinigami's service. Which is kind of cool and scary at the same time. He had researched many bloodlines. Replicated some of them even and was blessed with an iteration of one of the mightiest Do Jutsu known to mankind. He thought of Karin, he wanted to rebuild the clan with her. They had checked that they were not directly blood-related but everything was safe on that front. Karin, while sometimes scary was a very open-minded and adventurous person. She loved her research. Any kind of it. He did not know why his mind drifted away like this, this close before the big fight against Madara and maybe this alien. But as he thought of her research he remembered that one day Karin and Tayuya stood in his room. Clothed in Lingerie and smiling at him before Karin explained the experiment. They would use their chains to restrain the other. The one that would break free would be the one in charge tonight. Well, Naruto had not complained, his chains were quite sturdy and to spread their…
Good memories. Maybe that was the reason he, this leather ensemble really brought out Hinata's curves… Ahh yes. From one moment to the next Naruto understood that he could very well die in the next fight. He had done everything that he could, even providing the mentor scroll with a version of himself. While he knew that he was strong. Maybe stronger than all the Kage, he knew that he could slip or make an error in judging a situation. Good thing he had done some contingency planning. Thank Kami for the clone Jutsu. To be in more than one place at the same time was such a blessing. He unsheathed his katana before he summoned his familiar phoenix. "Hey, you."
"Long time no see Naruto. You have grown quite a bit" said Kiezu in her hybrid form. The red-golden and long Kimono and flaming red hair. The only thing pointing out her true nature was the red-golden pair of wings on her back.
"Hey Kiezu, that is true. You know I just wanted to talk for a moment. I think I get some nerves right now and you always got me out of it." Naruto explained with a slight blush of pink on his cheeks.
"I can feel it." She said as the female phoenix hugged him. Naruto was returning the hug with a smile on his face. What started as a nagging older sister-like relationship, had still sibling vibes but she did not nag him so often anymore. "I told you to not always play hero you know?" Kiezu said with a mix of nag and concern in her voice.
"Yeah you did and to be honest, I tried" Naruto started as he got out of the hug but was quickly interrupted by the phoenix.
"and failed. You have this little hero and save-the-world thing. But, my father already told me to expect that. Our summoners tend to be that way. Once upon a time, there was a guy with a long white beard. He was bonded to one of my uncles. He bonded with him after he saved a big mountain from a rock slide using a wooden stick to do a Jutsu. All of our summoners are crazy but most of the time good people who just need a force to guide them to be good to themselves from time to time." She explained sagely looking at Naruto with a pointed look.
"Hey" He held up his hands with the open palms pointing at her and shaking them slightly. "I know. When this half-invasion thing is finished the Shinigami said, that if have maybe one or more decades of peace in front of me. While I won't stop improving myself, I will start to let others handle most of it. I just want to get back home and enjoy life with my family." Naruto explained and looked at her with a big smile.
"Good. Father said that I should look after your system and help you heal to prepare you for the next fight. But, it looks like someone took that off my shoulders." She said after doing a short diagnostic Jutsu. This launched Naruto into a full explanation of his encounter with the Shinigami. She listened and was surprised as he got to the point of rejuvenation. Maybe the Shinigami could do so because Naruto was in his Kamui dimension. Well, something to ask her old man later. "Listen to me Naruto. I want to be perfectly clear with you. In this upcoming battle, I want you to not hold back. Don't think even for a second to draw it out just to learn Madara's techniques. You have more techniques collected than one could ever hope to master in their life. One or two more won't make much of a difference you hear?"
The intensity of her speech had Naruto on his backfoot. She cared. Not only about him as a summoner, but as a person too. "Of course. Get in. Kill the bad guys, get out asap." He said. "And don't try to collect more techniques" He added on her gaze that some would say could kill a man.
Kiezu nodded. "And don't you forget it." For a moment she stood there before she hugged him again. pressing her warm body against his and whispering. "Stay safe out there. You know that we might help you with any ads but against the big guns." She trailed off for a moment shaking her head. "We are no fighters. If you need to retreat and collect yourself do so. Don't play the hero alright?"
Naruto was surprised at how much emotion rumbled through her. So he nodded and answered in the same whisper. "Of course. I see you at the winning feast."
With those words, he disappeared in a flash.
The empty plain grass field stretches out before you, a seemingly endless expanse of emerald green blades swaying gently in the warm breeze that rustles through them.
The air is crisp and clean, with only the slightest hint of wildflowers from afar. As far as the eye can see, there are no signs of human habitation or life - just rolling hills and an infinite skyline that meets the distant horizon.
In the center of this vast emptiness stands a towering tree, its trunk, and branches reaching up toward the heavens like a giant finger pointing toward the divine.
On one of its branches sat Madara Uchiha drinking tea. Zetsu was on another branch and looked at the sun slowly crossing the horizon. "It's getting closer for the plan to get fulfilled," Zetsu said while Madara sipped on his tea.
"I have to say I am kind of disappointed that they have not tried to stop it." He said looking at his tea before he looked on the field in front of him. "Not even that Uzumaki brat that had done so much damage to my plans. How was he called again?" He said sounding quite bored.
Zetsu sunk a bit into the tree branch relishing in the power that ran through it. "Uzumaki Naruto…" He got no further as a big cloud of smoke appeared. A pulse of heavy dense chakra blew it away. In the center of the formation stood Kurama with his nine tail flicking menacingly. He was joined by four big battle toads in the form of Gamabunta and his son and also Gamahiro and Gamaken. Levitating beside Kurama, with flaming wings was Naruto Uzumaki.
Madara could feel the power radiating and the battle maniac in him answered in kind. "Finally a worthy opponent but you won't be enough. Nobody can beat me in my current form!" He said while smiling. Naruto did not even blink.
"Guys. I want that tree down" he said towards the battle toads. All four of them nodded before they prepared to jump. Looking into Kurama's eye he smiled. "I will shield you go and have some fun!" With those words, he sat down on Kurama's head and started to meditate as the fox prepared to launch a Bijudama the toads jumped high into the sky.
"Your pets won't be enough Uzumaki!" Madara yelled before he started to rush at Kurama. His Rinnegang pulsed once to activate his four Limbo forms. As a being made out of chakra, the nine-tailed fox could sense them and flicked some of his tails at them like an animal would after a fly. One of those four shadowy figures got hit and flew into the ground. The other three evaded those tails but did not manage to engage before Kurama fired his Bijudama. While the energy ball flew toward Madara, his three remaining invisible attackers wanted to stab the nine tails. This time Kurama stomped the ground and the earth erupted and impaled one of them while convincing the other two to stay out of his range.
Madara sneered at the incoming energy ball before he hit it with his Gunbai and yelled "REFLECT!"
Kurama snickered. "Naruto. I will keep those four copies busy. You may want to do something against my Justu flying back at us."
The red-haired young man opened his eyes and stood. Unsealing the fan he got as a present back he strengthened it with some more of his chakra before he jumped towards the Bijudama and with the grace of a professional tennis player hit the energy back towards Madara.
Did that ball get bigger? Was Madara's first thought before he needed to act again using the same technique he poured more chakra into the reflective barrier. As the ball of energy hit that barrier the Uchiha thought for a blink of an eye it was not enough but the barrier held and threw the attack back at Naruto.
Meanwhile, the big orange-furred fox pounced on the otherworlds Madara's with glee. In his near vicinity, it was like a mild cataclysm, as storm winds picked them up and crushed them through raised earthen barriers. Also, the toads had reached the tree and had to battle against some big white Zetsu constructs that existed after ten of them had merged together.
Naruto looked at the ball again. Madara would not understand that he had synchronized his chakra with the ball. For him, it was like hitting a normal-sized tennis ball with a racket. Each time he would add more chakra to the mix when he smashed that ball back in Madara's direction. Naruto would not complain when that big thing would end the battle.
As Madara looked at the incoming mass of chakra, the small hairs stood from the energy. Yes, that ball got even bigger. How did that stupid Uzumaki do this? He was Madara Uchiha. Nobody could mess with his power. He would not flee before this attack; he would just reflect on it again. And so he did. With a yell and getting slightly pushed into the ground they managed this feat. The slight cracking noise was missed by both participants in this match of energy ball tennis. bespoken energy ball flew back at the Uzumaki who, again, hit it straight back at Madara. Who reflected it back again with a look of pure annoyance. The ball had already made a trench in the ground from the sheer force and power it had collected.
They hit the ball at each other again three times. Every time the cracking on Madara's side was more prominent but the Uchiha was so enthralled by the battle that he was overlooking that fact. The Uchiha was surprised as he wanted to hit back the Bijudama one last time but this time his Gunbai broke. The following explosion shook the earth and the shockwave had the Biju and toad summon brace themselves while Naruto protected himself in a shell made out of wood.
Debris was flying everywhere and after the dust had settled, Naruto's hope of a quick and clean end to the battle was fully vanquished by Madara's perfect Susanno. Fully protected by layers upon layers of dense blue chakra and inside something like a pentagon diamond the Uchiha looked at Naruto as he came out of the wooden shell. "So you want to dance? Well, let's dance."
Without further warning his chakra avatar reached out and wanted to hit Naruto with a sword made out of chakra.
Naruto disappeared into a yellow flash appearing behind the Uchiha before he himself called upon his Susanoo. Crimson in Color the Samurai made of chakra drew his sword in an Ia-like style and the cut shortly appeared in the Susnano before it was closed again as Madara turned toward Naruto. "Never would have thought a whelp of the Uzumaki would have the might to unleash the Uchiahas' perfect defense."
Naruto molded his chakra, not even answering the man as his avatar took out a one-handed battle fan. A strong wave unleashed a blizzard-like gust of wind in the direction of the Uchiha. Who was quick to counter with a majestic flame destroyer Jutsu. The Jutsus clashed and fought for dominance. The wind-empowered water style won. Not only was Madara attacked by the cold winds, no the fire had melted some of the snow and ice only for the winds to make icicles out of them. Most of them just burst on the chakra armor but some managed to penetrate it ripping through the perfect form.
While his Jutsu might be perfect the defend against normal chakra-based attacks, Naruto used sage-powered chakra for his Jutsu. Shown as his Susanoo had markings all over his armor now. The sword burned with wight flames as he let it strike against his foe.
Madara's Susanoo raised his sword to defend but it was cut straight through after a short metallic clang. This was met by Madara unleashing a blast from the Deva Path. The almighty push dissolved even the hardened chakra blade of Naruto's big construct.
As the two big Samurai started into a bout of Kenjutsu, Kurama had disposed himself of the last of Madara's Limbo clones. The Biju may have taken his time with them, but it felt so satisfying to crush and rip them apart. Now he had taken his attention toward the big tree as the toads seemed to struggle against the big Zetsu Juggernaughts. Kurama started to sprint at one of them and reached it in a very short time and with a turn on his heels all nine tails whipped the one that was about to jump at Gamakent back. Without words, they communicated and managed to burn one of the white Zetsu with a combination of oil and fox fire. The screams and Zetsu's poor attempts to deal with the fire led to Madara switching targets. Or to be more close to the truth he tried to switch them. But, he made his calculations without Naruto who every try he made managed to stop him just short.
"You pesky fly. You have no idea what I am so close to achieving. Do you think I did not prepare for a biju helping you? After you managed to take them out of the equation?" Madara yelled, rushing through hand seals with his Susanoo in tandem. With a scream, he yelled out the name of the Jutsu. "Mokuton Hijutsu: Jukai Kōtan" Trees upon trees grew rapidly out of the ground. Naruto had to blink for a moment as he did not fully understand why Madara would use wood style right now. After some branches started to move on his summons and Kurama, he quickly realized what Madara's plan was.
"Bunta. Take the others and go back home. Before you get rooted in place. Kurama you too!" Naruto ordered out. He used his own wood style to slow down Madara. Wooden clones of both of them started to engage in small Taijutsu battles all around them.
"A bad pun? Really? Do you think now is the right time for that?" Gamabunta called out as his sword cut down some roots and another Zetsu. Before he nodded at his son and battle brothers he looked back at Naruto. "If you need support I am sure the elders would make themselves available!" With that, the four of them reverse-summoned themselves.
Kurama was about to shout a retort as one of the roots caught up with one of his tails. In an instant, he could feel the chakra draining out of him. Madara had a devilish smile as he changed the hand seals. In a faint whisper, he changed his technique. "Shin: Jukai Kōtan"
Naruto witnessed as the roots from the god tree started to rush at Kurama. He threw a Kunai at the root and could hit and split it before it reached Kurama who also began to unleash wind blades from his mouth and also started to use his fox fire to get out of his predicament. It was like each Jutsu needed twice the amount of chakra. "Your resistance is futile fox. It is time to obey your new master."
That enraged Kurama and Naruto but the fox was slowly encased by more and more roots and his strength was sapped away faster than he liked. His stubbornness worked against him at this moment. He wanted to break free, but even he knew that the god tree as the origin of all chakra in this world would win in the end. He was about to give in when an orange flash engulfed him. Millions of cutting noises followed by the feeling of something covering up his form. After the fox finished with his blinking, Naruto joined him and stood on his head. While his whole body was engulfed by the crimson glow of the Susanoo-like armor.
"FOOL!" Madara screamed. "The tree will claim him sooner or later now that it tasted the chakra. Why are you still resisting?" The Uchiha sounded frustrated as roots began to hit the chakra armor without making a dent, as this kind of chakra was different and much denser it could not easily be absorbed. But, while not easy the tree already started to drain it.
"Kurama. I think it is time to go home. I will use it. Prepare the others, please." The Uzumaki said calmly to his friend as he knelt on the head and placed a hand on Kurams head as he patted him goodbye, the fox just gave one nod before he disappeared in a big puff of smoke.
"So it's true then. You turned them into Summons. What a waste." Madara mocked Naruto who landed smoothly on the ground and put one hand on his stomach while the other got onto the hilt of his sword.
"Hagoromo always preached that Ninshu was the way to help us understand each other," Naruto said with his eyes closed, and as his hand left his stomach each fingertip glowed with a golden flame.
"Why do you think that would matter now? You can't summon your little friends to help you fight" Madara spat. Naruto did not listen or answer. His hands just got through the last hand seal of the traditional summoning. "Did some of my clones hit your head or something?"
Again Naruto did not rise to Madara's mocking. His hand got onto the ground and shortly after he stood in the middle of a summoning circle. Nine circles were arranged evenly around. In each of those circles stood the Kanji for a certain number from one to nine. "Sacred Summoning Style: Unity Chakra Mode" Naruto whispered and Madara got blasted back as the pure shockwave surprised him. Naruto's red hair stood tall and his clothes swept in the wind. His version of the Rinnegan had changed into a golden eye color like the chakra shroud that engulfed Naruto. The veins surrounding his eyes had even more crossings now and behind Naruto nine black orbs appeared. As the young man took a step the ground shook for a moment before he got the leaking power under control.
Madara looked back and was shocked as Naruto stood right in front of him. His voice had even chilled the veteran and the ninja who had only acknowledged one person as his equal. "Those who think that power can only be achieved by themselves will always stumble and falter against those who understand the true meaning of Ninshu" Sand gathered around Naruto's fist before it lit up in blue flames as he hit Madara in the direction of the tree.
As Madara was bent backward and flew with ridiculous speeds before he crashed into the tree he felt fear for the first time in his many years. He not even had seen him move. How could he outclass him this easily? He, Madara Uchiha, the greatest Shinobi ever existed. Slowly moving out of the broken tree he noticed that Naruto was waiting.
"It is because I am not alone. I have friends. Many of them. Nine that lending me their power in this very moment. What a great coincidence they are in a location that not only enables them to continuously push chakra into the technique no they are safe so I won't need to worry." Naruto explained like he had read the mind of the Uchiha.
Meanwhile, back in Uzushio, one non-Uzumaki redhead looked to the two others he shared some tea with while they waited for news. "You feel it too right?"
Utakata looked at Gaara and nodded. "He entered that mode. I mean. We used the default version of the Jutsu. Not the unified ones. I can't even imagine that our chakra systems would be able to deal with the intake."
Bee looked back and he nodded sagely. "That is true. I think I could deal with half the amount but that would stretch it and also would need me to sign four other contracts."
Gaara sipped some of his tea as he looked in the direction the battle would have to be. He spoke more to himself than to the others. "Stay safe out there Naruto."
In the Biju Dimension, the different clans looked at their leaders as they had gathered in the central structure of the dimension. All nine of them sat in a meditating position. It was such a serene sight. One Kitsune kit looked to one of the tanukis who looked a bit scared. "I am sure Naruto-sama will deal with that problem once and for all"
"With Shukaku-samas might how could he lose?" The tanuki responded much more confident than it looked like seconds before. The Kitsune kit blinked. Those Tanuki knew that the number of tails indicated the base strength of the different elders right? But before the Kitsune kit could say something, a beautiful white-furred eight-tailed Kitsune entered the wide area. Kurama-sama's mate was here? She joined her mate and started to sink into meditation. Right. They should all help, right? So one after another sunk into meditation and sent their strength to the one person that kept them all safe.
Naruto could feel all this energy influx and was quite happy that he had prepared some special seals on his body that helped deal with all that chakra. He still had to bleed some of it out to not burst but most of it could stay inside. He looked back to Madara who finally got up standing again before he looked at the tree. His hand closed on the hilt and he drew the sword. A golden slice, thin as a hair appeared and rushed at the tree. Madara only had time to throw himself into the dirt as the slice passed over him. For a second the Uchiha wanted to start laughing. Nothing could cut that tree. But, then he heard the sound of wood that was cut through. The aching of something big falling and the desperate cry of Zetsu. "QUICKLY MADARA-SAMA USE YOUR CONNECTION AND THE JUTSU NOW OR ALL IS LOST!"
Of course, the Uchiha thought. Before he used his connection to the tree like Zetsu advised and in a vortex of air and with a sucking noise the tree, which was about o fall onto the ground was pulled inside of him. Seconds later nothing of the tree remained not even a trunk as Zetsu looked at the changing form of Madara. His skin had gotten white like his hair. He felt unbeatable. The tree must have been closed before it would have changed into the Juubi form. Time to beat that upstart. He rushed at Naruto and fist met fist. But to Madara's shock, the Uzumaki still stood with his shroud active and did not move an inch. The impact of their fists had exploded the ground beneath them though. "How?" Madara said. Before he was hit by a low kick that would have pulverized the legs of a normal human being. He could block it but it hurt.
Naruto looked at Madara's changed form. "You entered a Jinchurikii mode. Interesting. Do you understand now that only together we can be strong? Only through this gift you can even meet my strength now"
The young man tried again only to be met by Madara's hysterical and slightly manical laugh. "Together? I claimed this power because I am entitled to it. It was stolen from me, from my clan!"
Naruto raised a brow as his and Madara's truth-seeking orbs impacted each other. "You are entitled to die… as we all do," He said in a matter-of-fact voice before his fist hit Madara in the stomach. He used all his speed and even with the inhuman-like reflexes Madara gained through his long training, being a Jinchurikii, and his eye powers he could not keep up. Hit on hit slowly decimated his defenses. Sometimes it was fire, the next moment lava erupted from the point of impact. How could that Uzumaki upstart still outclass him, the Uchiha thought as he flew into another rock. Before he could get fully back to a standing position he witnessed all-white Zetsu revert into little lights and he looked straight into the eyes of Zetsu.
"You failed tool. But. My Mistress will deal with your failures." He said before he covered Madara. The Uchiha could feel even more Chakra coming from everywhere as the lights came to his body.
Naruto witnessed the whole thing and a voice in his mind paired with an unearthly chill said. "Prepare yourself." Naruto did not need to be told that twice. He used his mastery over Fuinjutsu to raise a barrier that managed to hold back some of those chakra orbs by holding them down with his chains. He also witnessed the bubbling of Madaras form as he grew and grew. Before in its place stood a pale-skinned woman with soft facial features. She had extremely long, sweeping white hair. She possessed white clear eyes and her eyebrows were cut very short and round — a symbol of nobility, and she wore a red shade of lipstick on her lips. She grew two brown horns that stuck out from her head and a third eye formed in the center of her forehead. She wore a high-collared hime-kimono which had tomoe running down the centre and edges of the gown and was adorned with intricate gold and purple lines.
Naruto was slightly unprepared, even with the warning as the woman attacked him, and unlike Madara, she was fast enough to be on par with him when not even surpassing him. Naruto was slightly surprised about this but the astonishment that someone she thought was a mere human insect stood between her and her rightful dominion and could match her power to a degree was unheard of. So, she disengaged and used her enthralling voice that was laced with chakra. "Who dares to oppose us? You are not one of my ungrateful children that turned on me are you?"
Naruto blinked. Was she for real? "Listen, Lady, I might have a clue who you are and some people really would like you to disappear."
"We are the rightful goddess of this world and you will submit or be punished accordingly." The woman said before she seemed to feel something. "Ahh… You are faintly familiar. You are related to one of my grandsons. So you should know that you should obey us, your grandmother Kaguya!"
"Don't think so," Naruto said before he attacked again going all out from the start. The battle the Shinigami had told him about had started.
