Volume 1. Chapter 4. Raven and Summer.

I didn't know when she was planning to leave us, but I hoped she wouldn't take me with her. Why did I think she would take me? Because her story about why she left them and what she told Summer Rose when they met was this: "I wasn't made for this life, like you." And from what I know of her words and actions, what I understand from the show is that she was scared and that's why she disappeared. And there was something to be afraid of, Salem - an immortal being that cannot be killed. And why do I think she'll take me with her? Because one of her words was that she disappeared because she wanted to protect her clan from death or in other words, prevent its disappearance. To prevent it from disappearing, an heir is needed, otherwise this task may fall to a son. So, my thoughts led me to this conclusion.

A few more days passed, and it turned out that she disappeared unexpectedly. What do I mean by "unexpectedly"? That she disappeared after going to Director Ozpin. And you may ask, what exactly is unexpected here? That she returned a week after disappearing, but not to take me, but Young's older sister. When I understood this, I began to protest and showed myself a little as a reborn person, putting more strength into my movements. I meant movements with my hands when she started taking her away with words.

"It is bad to separate you, but I need someone who will be by my side and replace me if necessary."

When I realized that she was reaching out to her, not me, I had the thought to prevent this. Because if it takes her, everything could change dramatically and not go the way it was supposed to. As I started pulling my sister back, she was surprised. Why was she surprised? Because she thought I was sleeping, just like Yang.

"Yin, you're not sleeping?!" She exclaimed in surprise.

I was curious why she was asking such questions to a one-year-old. But that didn't stop my efforts to stop her. And I wanted to emphasize it by shifting the focus onto myself with words.

"Mommy, me. Mommy, me" Demonstrating it with my hands, pointing to myself.

My knowledge was quite extensive, but my body skills were not. The sad realization that I was weak enveloped me like the night. But I still needed to convince her to take me, not her.

"Mommy no. Mommy no. Mommy me. Mommy me." After these words, I began to pull harder.

I thought I wouldn't be able to stop her because no matter how hard I tried to hold her back, I didn't have enough strength. Though my body didn't offer many bonuses, surprisingly, there were enough for her to loosen her grip. And after a few seconds of contemplation, she let go. After that, I thought she changed her mind and wanted to take me with her, but it turned out she left both of us. At that moment, she opened a portal and disappeared. Although I hoped she would take me, I didn't want that. Contrary to my expectations, I couldn't foresee what would happen to me if she decided to take me.

I thought I wouldn't be able to stop her because no matter how hard I tried, I didn't have enough strength. Although my body didn't offer many bonuses, surprisingly, it was enough to loosen her grip. After a few moments of contemplation, she released her. At that point, I thought she changed her mind and wanted to take me with her, but it turned out she left both of us. In that moment, she opened a portal and disappeared. Though I hoped she would take me, I didn't truly want it. Contrary to my expectations, I couldn't foresee what would happen to me if she decided to take me. I'm glad she didn't take me. I didn't want to be her puppet. I had enough of my own world and my own mistakes in it, where I was manipulated by people I trusted, who used me for their own purposes.

Twenty seconds after she disappeared through the portal, our father appeared at the place where she was and began to find out what happened here.

"I thought I heard Raven's voice. But maybe it was just my imagination. Son, are you not asleep yet?" Father approached us and began to stroke Yin and Yang.

Despite all the mischief we did with Yang, she didn't even react, which surprised me. She slept so deeply that even a tank could not wake her up.

"You woke up, son, because you miss your mother. Not only you, I miss her too. Where is she now and what is she doing?" He asked sadly looking out the window.

After a few seconds of contemplation, I finally decided to do it.

"Dad, everything will be okay." I approached him and took his hand in mine.

Though the voice of a one-year-old child wasn't quite suited for such words and they didn't sound very convincing, he still understood them properly.

"Yes, son, everything will be fine." He looked at me and said these words.

Although I understand what will happen next, so these words meant nothing to me, but I could not say anything to him, although I really wanted to.

"Son, go to bed, it's already late, and I'll go too, I have to go to work soon." He began to encourage me to go to bed.

"Why not." I thought to myself - all the same, I won't get any more interesting things from this conversation. So I went to bed, but before he went to bed, he uttered these words to me.

"When you grow up, take care of Yang." He said as he was about to leave the room to sleep.

"Okay." I agreed.

"Good." He said and disappeared through the door.

His words prompted me to ponder the strange yet intriguing topic. Why does he think that a one-year-old, albeit a few days older, can understand what he said? In my opinion, Tàiyáng was an eccentric person, his decisions and some moments I observed throughout the year were strange and incomprehensible to my understanding, although in this world of monsters, eccentricity is a normal character trait of a person. Although he had the behavior of an smart person, some eccentricities or jokes were difficult to understand. For example, his jokes are quite strange, what is the point of joking about death or problems with girls in boys or about something bad. It puzzled me, although his jokes didn't bother me much, even though I didn't understand them. But I had something similar in my past life when I was in the special forces, we joked there, not about death, just about girls and someone's embarrassment between the pants in their presence.

Now it remains to understand when Summer Rose will appear in the chronology, but I'll think about that tomorrow.

I welcome myself; morning has come, but it remains a mystery when she will appear in my and Yang's world, if she comes not as a friend, but as Tàiyáng future wife.

Summer Rose is a strange person, and even stranger is that she was Qrow Branwen's girl. Why do I say this when it wasn't mentioned in the series? But when you see everything with your own eyes, everything becomes clearer.

After birth, about 3-4 months later, I noticed that Qrow Branwen appeared, but he didn't stay long and didn't visit us. I understood that he was going to Raven. From Tàiyáng and Raven's expressions, it seemed like they were offering him something, but he refused. It seemed that maybe they were trying to invite him to look at the children, but at least I heard something, but I did not understand what exactly, but there was a sense of rejection in his departure. It was the first day I saw him, but not the last.

If I continue to ponder why I took what Qrow and Summer have in common, or just meet. Because one day the door knocked by a well-known yet unknown person simultaneously. The first time I saw Summer Rose after that evening when Tàiyáng told me those words: "When you grow up, protect Yang", a month passed, and she appeared, and that day my amazement knew no bounds.

It was a regular day, and Tàiyáng played with Yang and me. Although I wasn't very interested in the game, the warmth emanating from this scene warmed my soul. The gameplay itself didn't captivate me, but the picture in front of me looked pleasant. However, this idyllic scene abruptly ended when there was a knock on the door.

Tàiyáng finished the game with us and went to the door. When he reached the door he asked.

"Who is it?" He turned the door handle.

"Summer!" He said in surprise.

From that moment, I got distracted from the game with Yang and began to listen to the sounds.

"Hi, Tài." She waved in order to greeted him.

"Why are you here?" He asked, gesturing with his hands to invite her in.

"I was passing by, so I stopped by after a task from Ozpin." She said, taking off her hood as she crossed the threshold and entered the room.

"The task is confidential, so I can't tell you more." She gave him a serious look.

"Ozpin always sends on confidential missions." He nodded knowingly and closed the door.

"I have a strange feeling that you're not just here to visit your student friend. So tell me, why are you here?" He gestured for her to come further into the room.

"I have a proposition for you." She made a peculiar but cute gesture.

"What?" He responded anxiously.

"I'll become a nanny for Yang and Yin while you're at work. How does that sound?" She said with a serious expression.

"Wait, how about your job? He said with concern.

"Ozpin already knows everything, so there won't be any more problems." Her expression changed from cheerful and kind to serious when she said those words. "And... I'm pregnant."

After these words, Tàiyáng was surprised and delighted at the same time.

"Congratulations. But who's the father of the child?"

"Qrow."

"And does he know?" He asked in a half-word.

"No." She said sadly.

"Why didn't you tell him, but came to my house instead?" He said, squinting his eyes.

"I wanted to talk and ask for your advice." She approached the wall and leaned against it.

"What advice do you want from me?" He smiled, approaching the wall and leaning against it, just like she did.

"How to tell him about it so that he's happy and doesn't worry about it?" She looked away.

"What?" He was taken aback by the sudden question. "What do you mean he won't be happy? You love each other." After these words he squinted.

"Yes, but he's afraid it might bring trouble on us." She darkened.

"Is it because of his past in the bandit clan?" He had a serious expression on his face.

"Yes and no. He's more afraid that my ability might bring danger to us." She darkened even more.

"Ah." He understood her answer. "So it's his problem with his ability that he still can't control." He pondered. "But you still need to tell him about the pregnancy." He looked intently at her. "And who else knows about this?"

"Only you and Ozpin know about my pregnancy, and I asked you not to tell Qrow about it." Her gaze shifted from the window to Tàiyáng.

"Okay, I understand you. But why did you want to babysit these two demons?" He gestured towards Yang and Yin, who were very eager to break away from the fight with Yang.

"I want to practice while I'm on maternity leave, so I have something to do." She shrugged.

"Okay, I agree to have you as their nanny, but the pay won't be high. Are you okay with that?" He looked at her with a question.

"Of course, I'd agree even without pay." She smiled at him. "They look like such sweet kids." She looked at the children and unexpectedly froze in her thoughts.

When I moved away from Yang to avoid being choked by her non-childish grip, I was also amazed at how Summer could be pregnant with Qrow's child. It turns out, Qrow is Ruby's father. There was another strange issue: I heard that she was pregnant, but when did she get pregnant? As far as I know, it takes 9 months for children to develop in the normal world, but how much time is actually needed in the world of aura?

Here I heard those words that disturbed me as much as a bullet to the forehead.

"At what month of pregnancy are you?" He shifted his gaze from the children to Summer.

"I'm already at 6 months of pregnancy." She said timidly.

At that moment, not only did my eyes nearly pop out, but Tàiyáng did too.

"What!" He said with a surprised expression. "How can it be 6 months?" He said in disbelief.

"It just is." She lifted her top and showed her belly. "Now you see, I'm not bluffing." She pouted.

"But... how can you be fighting in such a condition?" He said astonished.

"I chose simple tasks and learned to move in a way to avoid Grimm powerful blows." She said, blushing with embarrassment. "And I learned to fight as my body changed." Her gaze turned back to the children. "It consumed quite a large amount of aura, which reduced my speed and strength, and increased the danger for both me and the child even more. But I couldn't tell him, so I kept it a secret. I told Ozpin a month ago, but still kept it a secret. That's why I wanted to find out the best way to tell Qrow. So I wanted to share this news with a friend." Her expression was as if she hoped he would make some helpful suggestion.

"The problem became even clearer, but the only thing I can recommend to you is to tell him without hiding anything. Tell it like it is about your concerns for his mental state, but do it in a pleasant atmosphere. Everything will work out for you." He smiled and raised a finger.

"Besides this issue, there's another one." She said, blushing. "He thinks I no longer love him because I haven't slept with him for a long time." Her gaze shifted from him to the children and back again.

"What!" He exclaimed, taken aback.

At that moment, I was astonished, and my thought was simple: "Everything just got even more complicated".

Half an hour passed before they finished talking, and Summer, after the conversation, went home, but it wasn't like that, she stayed overnight because Tàiyáng didn't want to let her go pregnant alone at night. But what exactly did they talk about for half an hour? About relationships between a man and a woman and how a man reacts to the fact that half a year or less, and the girl he loves doesn't want to sleep with him. And how he can react to it.

What did I do while they continued to talk for these half an hour? I continued to fight back Yang. It took some time, but I managed to do it. I wanted to run away from her, as usual, but maybe she thought we were playing who's faster. But whatever you say, she started running after me and tried to catch me.

This running around lasted a few more minutes while she chased me. When she tripped and fell, that's when she started crying. At first, Summer wanted to approach to try to help, but it turned out differently. I approached her myself and started to comfort her, saying, "Don't cry, Yang," patting her head and blowing on her injured knee. Suddenly she grabbed me, which surprised me a lot.

When she grabbed me, instinctively I wanted to push her away, but in my mind, there was always an understanding of how brothers should behave with sisters. I was always curious about this because I didn't have sisters in my childhood. I grew up alone, and when adults were busy or didn't want to communicate, I was left alone with my thoughts. I didn't have a mother, but I had a father, grandfather, and grandmother. However, my grandfather and grandmother died when I was 6 and 8 years old, respectively. After their loss, it became even lonelier, and difficult times began for me.

While my thoughts were wandering, my hands stopped and didn't stop her from grabbing me. After a short thought, I chose a different path than anyone who wasn't me could have chosen. I wanted to write music, I wanted to become a musician, a pop idol, but I was far from it. And now before me are they, and she-they are the ones with whom I am destined to play the version of myself that I want and should be. Until I step out of someone else's storyline into my own.
