Chapter 476 Feeding the Fire
"
Tig was pissed. She and Piney got stuck with Gemma duty while the MC escorted the visitors out of town and then they went off to check out a tip on Esai. Son of a bitch! She should have been along to protect Clay or rather pretend to protect him while she kept a watchful eye on Jax.
She wondered if this assignment to Gemma duty was because she got a hard-on when she pretended someone was trying to shoot Jax so she could throw herself on top of him. She smiled at the memory. That had provided a lot of fantasy material. It was worth every awkward minute.
The feel of Jax's hard body under hers was exquisite. It was the only word for it. Jax was so muscular it was enough to make a girl faint with pleasure. Life was unfucking fair or she would be with Jax and not the blonde whore.
Everyone just thought the blonde whore was so wonderful. All the guys from the other MCs kept telling Jax how lucky he was to have her for his old lady. And she had to hand it to her; her dinner was damned delicious. She'd expected mediocre to bad food, but it was the best meal she'd had in a long time and she'd tried hard not to like it.
Then there was the way Jax looked at his precious Scarlett. She could see how much Jax loved her. She wanted him to look at her that way. Well, one day Jax would look at her like that. She just needed to be patient a little while longer.
Gemma duty was hell. She was in a bitchy mood. She guessed it might have had something to do with the food last night. She noticed Clay making up a plate of food to bring to Gemma. If she ate the food, it would really piss her off because the blonde whore's food tasted better than anything Gemma had done in a long time.
Gemma used to make really great food, but in the last few years, she didn't seem to be trying as hard. That could have had something to do with changes in the crow-eaters now that she gave it some more thought. She assigned them food to make. That was Gemma's trick! She used the crow-eaters to make the food and then took the credit. Her food didn't taste as good because this group of crow-eaters weren't as good at cooking. Gemma was a fraud!
She'd gotten a little payback with Gemma for being so rude to her. She told Piney she thought Scarlett's meatloaf was even better than Gemma's and made sure that Gemma overheard the conversation. She giggled as she remembered the pissed off look on Gemma's face. Take that you bitch!
All Gemma could do was shoot her a dirty lookâlike that was going to hurt her. It was great! Gemma thought she was so great strutting around in her boots and skin tight clothes. She looked like she thought she was Emma Peel from The Avengers TV show. A woman her age really needed to give the faux catsuit a rest.
Tig rested her chin in her hand and looked out at the parking lot wondering when the guys would get back from chasing down the lead on Esai. She wondered what Jax was doing now, but most of all, she wondered if Jax was safe.
She would die if anything happened to Jax. Life wouldn't be worth living. And thinking of the living made her think of the dead. When the hell were they going to find Louise?
