Visiting her home dimension was a trip that Gwen genuinely didn't regret in the least.

After cleaning up the apartment with Eric mopping up the last of the grime away, A genuine feeling of renewal washed over her and her father. It gave everybody a lift in the mood that led to Gwen and her dad feeling a wave of relief from. With that out of the way, both Eric's and Gwen's stomachs growled as George suggested they order some chinese from this place he liked. A split second after realizing that he must've sounded offensive to Eric, all that was seen in Eric was genuine eagerness for some hot meat and veggie stir fry. Gwen already knew Eric just didn't care for such things to begin with. All she wanted was some chow mein and fried shrimp.

Thirty Minutes Later

Eric carried all of the food himself with no issue as he had this incredible sense of balance paired with strength that even Captain Stacy found to be unbelievable. Turns out that Eric had quite the appetite and was more than happy with the fact that George was willing to fund a feast. Gwen also seemed to be rather eager to eat as she shared in carrying the trays of food next to Eric.

Watching them act so casually warm towards each other made him realize how much they cared about each other. In the back of his mind was this thought over who this Eric guy was as he was seemingly demonstrating the same ease of strength that Gwen seemed to possess as well. He thought about a way to ask subtly so as to not directly come off as confrontational over his suspicions.

Getting to sit back down at the dinner table with his own daughter was something he never expected to do again so soon. All the food was laid out as Eric helped set the table while Gwen kept directing him to things in the apartment that evaded him.

Sharing a meal with his child was enough of a blessing in itself. He couldn't remember the last time they just sat down to spend time as a family.

Gwen sat at her usual spot while he sat to her left. When Eric pulled up a chair to her right, her father almost stood up to try and correct Eric since that was where Peter used to sit at their table. Instead of angst or sadness, Gwen looked at Eric with genuine love in her eyes as he offered her his hand in prayer. She not only gave her his hand, but placed it in a way that he could completely envelope her hand with his own. Witnessing such an intimate act right in front of him made him realize something about the man who held his daughter's affections.

Eric helped heal Gwen from her past trauma. Here he thought that he needed to be the one to resolve her painful past when this man used their love for his daughter to actually help Gwen heal as a person. Nothing he expected was remotely close to what he was able to do for his own child.

Neither Gwen nor Eric expected George to offer his own hand across the table for Eric to take in prayer. He didn't hesitate as it felt rude to not accept a genuine gesture of trust from the father of the woman he came to love so dearly.

Their hands were joined as they said grace before their meal. Once finished, they all shared a warm meal that filled this home again with warm kindness long since forgotten.

Gwen's dad commented that Eric could really put it away as he saw the guy clear out servings that he thought would spoil in the back of the fridge in a month's time by the end of the meal. Having such a healthy appetite despite having such a lean form put into perspective how much George had let himself go. Despite being constantly outmatched in even eating, it somehow made him feel better as this guy was somebody he couldn't find disappointment in.

Even his table manners were good as he put away several pounds of food without pausing. Gwen just saw it as a part of his charm as Eric was still eating while her dad was almost done eating himself. When George finished his plate, the entire order had been put away mostly by Eric.

He even brewed a mean cup of coffee with what George thought was a slightly stale container of old coffee grounds. How this guy could even make this taste better than that artisanal crap he was brought once in a while by those brown nosing officers in his precinct was beyond him.

By the end of the night, Gwen was fast asleep with Eric's left thigh being her pillow. He just gently stroked her hair without thinking as he and her father were still chatting casually. Just seeing Gwen look so peaceful to sleep on the couch she once slept on his lap on as a child was strange. What he once thought of as passing on the torch had already happened without him knowing.

"Who are you, if you don't mind me asking."

Shifting the atmosphere of the room with that one request left Captain Stacy a bit startled as he felt a chill he never felt in his life.

Years of serving as an experienced cop on the force put him in front of all sorts of twisted criminals of different grades. From the pettiest of purse snatchers to deranged murderers who only sought out human suffering as their pastime hardened him as an officer of the law and created him as the commissioner of the NYPD in the end.

Yet none of that prepared him for the absolutely freezing cold that he felt as Eric switched from being the loving fiancee of his daughter into the person he was before knowing the warmth of real love. All he knew was that this guy was someone who became this respectable man who loved his daughter with a truly formidable will combined with a kindness concerned with her wellbeing. Who he was before that time was something that still evaded his understanding.

"Do you want to know who I am now…"

During his early years as a beat cop, George Stacy experienced his first gut wrenching moment of mortal fear after his first gunfight. He couldn't stop shaking for the rest of the night and even ended up vomiting everything he ate until he finally passed out from exhaustion. That fear returned in a much more controlled manner as he looked into Eric's eyes and saw somebody who was something that ate those criminals he once thought of as real monsters. The one sitting in front of him was a person who ate those individuals up and left the mess behind to warn others of his presence. Going from the realms of being feared into the realms of fantasy for his feats was what he did as his dimension's most dangerous mass murderer.

"Or who I was?"

Web Weaver.

A name he was branded with by those who hated and feared him.

Waiting until Gwen fell asleep to face her father with this truth of his past was something he did feel guilty about. Keeping her out of the loop never felt good as it only breached the trust she had for him that he valued so much. But he knew she wouldn't want this side of him to ever be revealed to her father. Revealing all of his expertly honed instincts as a murderer to Captain Stacy showed how much trust he gave the man as Eric left nothing hidden to him.

To lie to the man who was his loved one's father only could lead to disaster. Bearing his soul to the one who could easily say no to him was his way of showing how much Gwen mattered to him in his own way.

Much to Eric's surprise, George Stacy didn't look disturbed or angry. On his face was this expression of relief that even Eric wasn't ready for.

"I can't believe it. My baby girl ran into a guy who can't lie for the life of him. Just what kind of person are you to be so easy to read?"

Again, there was nothing preventing Captain Stacy from reading Eric as the man answered with no sense of withholding information.

"... Somebody who's world became colorful because of her."

Switching from cold to gentle and warm as Gwen entered his mind again left her father at a loss of words. Just the way Eric looked so vulnerable as his eyes returned to her sleeping figure told him enough.

Eric didn't overshare too much, but he didn't lie to him either. Back in his dimension, he was someone who took the law into his own hands. He did kill and did so knowing what it was he was doing. Yet Captain Stacy didn't know why he didn't try to arrest him or stop him. This guy openly admitted to murder and did so without any fear or hesitation. Maybe the way he shared it for the good of his relationship with Gwen had something to do with it. George Stacy could see a man who respected the woman he loved so much that he held no secrets that could harm her and her relations with others down the line

There only could be trust between Eric and his daughter. Eric shared that trust with the father of the woman who mattered to him more than himself.

At the end of the day, this was somebody who he knew would only do his best to make Gwen happy and safe. Leaving her in his care didn't feel wrong. So he did what any good father would do for his child and gave his trust to her decisions in life with the knowledge that she was no longer a child.

"I'll trust you to take good care of her."

What George saw when Eric looked back into his eyes sort of startled him. To see that much conviction in one person's soul told him that this man would tear apart the world to protect Gwen.

"Thank you."

Eric carried Gwen as her father kissed his daughter on the forehead goodbye. It still felt bizarre to see him opening a blue interdimensional portal to leave this dimension. Out of nostalgia, George went to his bedroom and picked up an old picture of him and his wife when she was still in his life. Some part of him felt silly for going soft this late in his life, but he somehow felt like he managed to obtain some closure with his daughter. For the first time in a while, he slept like a baby that night.

Two Months Later

"Eric, we need to talk. Now."

Coming back in the middle of noon wasn't a common theme for Gwen. Eric had Felicia sleeping with her head on his left thigh while Eve was cleaning up the kitchen after their lunch. They had all come back about two days ago from a joint mission and enjoying some downtime with one another. Something important had come up back at HQ and Gwen needed to show up in person to receive the information privately. Studying the mission file revealed a character who was the worst possible thing to show up with everything going on in the multiverse.

Gently moving Felicia's head and replacing his leg with a pillow, Eric followed Gwen into one of the bedrooms and showed Eric what she read. His eyes quickly scanned the report and his eyes went wide. This was as much of a problem Gwen predicted if not more so.

"How soon can we be ready?"

"Right now."

Eric immediately went to get ready while Gwen went to go wake up Felicia. She gently shook her fiance by the shoulder to try and rouse her from her slumber. Those pretty green irises slowly blinked awake to see her precious blonde lover standing over her.

"Felicia? How soon can-"

"Mmm, hello lover."

Before she could cut her off, Gwen got pulled down onto the couch where Felicia locked lips with her and even managed to deactivate her nanite suit to get really handsy with the spider's lean body. It took about twelve minutes of heavy petting before Gwen managed to pull back with her sanity to tell Felicia to quickly get ready.

Seeing Gwen look so serious with a blush on her face was adorable, but something clearly needed their attention before they could continue. Whatever it was, they were racing the clock.

Several Hours Later Earth - 1610

Miles had no idea what to do as he just struggled between his secret identity and his persona as Spiderman. He just kept feeling like he wasn't achieving the most he could with one side of himself pulling his other side back into constant stumbles and trip ups. His family potluck was the most significant mess up with both parents grounding him in the middle of a large crowd of their closest friends and family. Keeping everything from them out of the fear that they wouldn't accept him for who he was kept everybody frustrated with Miles feeling guilty over his secret second life. Trying to maintain this double life was exhausting and it brought both aspects of himself down to their lowest potential.

Landing on his bed and pulling out his phone, he put on some tunes to try and forget about his current troubles. Picking a song then led him to quickly pulling up his photo album and scrolling down until he came across one photo that he had saved on it. A digital scan of one of the most important photos of his life.

The photo that his old teacher gave him had him and the future Gwen together as they posed next to the mural that they reassembled to the best of their abilities with the hole where he put the outline of himself. It was supposed to represent him finally breaking free of the uncertainty, but he only felt conflicted as his eyes scanned the gold embossed words at the bottom of the picture.

Potential is the combination of opportunity and action. Be proud to be someone who finds theirs everyday.

So far, he felt like he failed in every aspect of this saying. None of his potential felt like it was being achieved with all this juggling he kept fumbling. Good people who put their faith in him and he couldn't suppress the feeling of being a failure to them. The last time they paid him a visit was months ago and he still had shame over lying through his teeth after telling them that everything was still perfect. Their presence did make the loneliness easier, but nobody else came back to visit him. Having the future Gwen and Web Weaver be his only visitors only made him feel that much worse since they were such a gold standard compared to his constant mess ups.

Closing his eyes after locking his phone on the image was the best he could do for himself for now. The melody of his music helped push those thoughts back for the time being. His body was already feeling lighter as he nodded off to the rhythm of the song. In fact, everything felt strangely lighter as the gravity in his room seemed to drop with all the loose bits and pieces littering his room rising off of the floor with a bright orange hexagonal portal opening up right over his bed.

"Miles? Miles!"

Cracking his eyes open at the sound of somebody calling his name, his eyes went wide at the sight of people all standing in the portal hovering over him. He recognized some while the others were a complete mystery to him. Gwen was staring down at him with a smirk while Web Weaver was wearing his full suit. Something about the way they presented themselves felt different to the ones he was used to seeing. It quickly dawned on him that these versions of Gwen and Web Weaver weren't the ones he thought they were.

"Got a sec?"

Jumping out of the portal and landing in different parts of the room, Gwen sat cross legged on his bed while Eric Evaded the mattress and stood at the foot of the bed while Felicia leaned her backside onto his drawing desk. Eve took the most interesting position as she morphed into a blob temporarily to slip underneath Miles and toss him up high enough to get him to land in her plump lap with the back of his shoulders and neck being squished against two very soft cushions.

"So this is Miles. He's such a little cutie."

Felicia couldn't help but tease Miles as she approached him with a sway in her hips and bent forward while keeping her legs straight to show off her massive cleavage. Nothing was going on in his brain as Black Cat playfully lifted his chin with a clawed finger and her left hand on her cocked hip. Eve even added to the teasing by combing his hair with her gentle touch as she slightly pulled him in against her own breasts. These two were just enjoying seeing Miles act so innocent as he stumbled to even make words come out of his mouth as he fought to control the physical reaction in his pants.

"C'mon guys. Take it easy on him."

Their fun was cut short as they both giggled and let Miles off easy. Even just morphed and let the teenager drop down to his bed and stood next to the window once rematerialized. Felicia joined her as Miles coughed and swiped a pillow to cover up his crotch while sitting cross legged.

Gwen went in for a hug, but was stopped when Miles asked her to give him a second to recompose himself. Both women who caused his current level of discomfort laughed to themselves with Gwen giving them an exhausted look over their antics. Once he managed to get himself settled, he let out an awkward cough before finally greeting Gwen and Web Weaver.

"H-hey, Gwen. It's been… Well, it's good seeing you again."

"Yeah, I've been great! Look at you, you grew!"

Giving him a playful punch on the shoulder, Gwen was just happy to see her best friend again while Eric just deactivated his mask to give his own greeting to the surprised teen. He did look a little younger that his future counterpart, though not by much. He was very much a younger version of his old physics teacher.

"Hi. I think this is the first time that I'M meeting you. I'm Eric."

Holding his hand out for Miles, a sense of nostalgia came over him. There was something oddly comforting about this meeting as he gripped Eric's slightly larger hand with his own and shook it with a genuine feeling of respect for this man.

"Miles. I'm your… well, I was your student. Not you, but the other you. Y'know, the other guy who is you but is-"

"Don't worry, I know about them. Don't have to try and make sense of that mess for me."

That was a relief as he didn't want to wrap his head around the matter anymore. Standing up off the bed, Gwen started to go around the room asking about the room he grew up in. As any teenage boy with several attractive women in his bedroom would act, he tried in vain to draw their attention away from the childish paraphernalia scattered around it. Eve was eyeballing his shelf of collectibles with intrigue while Gelicia was already fighting the urge to snag something as a souvenir for her first trip into this dimension. Eric was the only one who remained respectful and even had to stop the others from touching his stuff like a parent with their fussy children.

"Oh, I remember playing with this when I was a kid!"

A very nervous Miles was not liking the way Gwen was handing the packaging of one of his most prized collectible figurines. She even excitedly showed Miles the front to illustrate how nostalgic she was feeling.

"Well, yeah. It's a collectible. It's pretty rare, so-"

"Wait, why is it still in its packaging?"

Right as he thought he would have a panic attack, his savior came in just in time to stop Gwen from opening the plastic packaging. He gently pulled it out of her hands and placed it back onto the shelf before shooing her away.

"It's rude to touch things that aren't yours."

All he got for his interference were three pouting women who all thought of him as a spoil sport. Miles thanked the stars that Eric was there to keep everybody from touching his stuff. One thing that Felicia spotted on the bed got Miles nervous as she was unable to keep her hands away from anything that piqued her interest. Her grapple hook nabbed the book gently before she pulled it towards her before Miles's Web could hit it. She and Gwen flipped through the pages of his illustrations while Eric gave Miles an apologetic smile for the trouble they were causing him.

"Wow, are these your drawings? They're really good."

Gwen praised her friends artistic talents while Eve and Felicia also found them interesting. Their praises of his works did flatter him as he felt a little proud to have so many women give him compliments as Even Eric saw drawings of the other spiders that he only recognized at the HQ. He even felt a little touched to see some pictures of him with expressions he never knew he could make before Gwen came into his life. It felt strange seeing another person's perspective of him not being a monster or murderer, but as another person.

He could see why Gwen was so fond of him.

"I missed you, too."

A short but sweet sentiment that Miles returned.

"Yeah. I thought that I wouldn't see any of you again…"

Everybody exited the apartment through the window, leaving Gwen sitting on the windowsill as she asked Miles if he wanted to get out of there. He told her that he was grounded for the time being, to which she just shrugged her shoulders. She flipped backwards out the window and had been waiting for Miles as she stood horizontal against the ground right under his window with her mask reactivated. The others were up in the roof to avoid drawing too much attention to themselves as she asked Miles a poignant question.

"Is Spiderman grounded?"

With that, he decided that maybe breaking the rules just this one time would probably be worth the backlash he would get later that evening.

Several Minutes Later

Everybody was just having fun jumping and swinging across rooftops and between buildings as Gwen regaled Miles with tales of her time across the different dimensions. About how she catches anomalies while Eric played down his role of fixing the breaches left open in those realities. Even Felicia and Eve had some interesting stories attached to them as they were just randomly stopping criminals as they were passing by.

One purse snatcher got handled with him dangling by a lamp post for the cops to pick up in front of the police station. Miles got to see Web Weaver in action as he utilized his faster Web slinging to swoop through an alley and yank three drug dealers into the air. They all were screaming for their lives as each was them webbed up midair before being hung on dangling strands that went across the end of the alleyway for people to see and call the police. His speed and accuracy genuinely impressed Miles as he was certain that not even five seconds passed by the time he handled the criminals.

Their time was spent just sharing experiences with the teen as he felt like he had been missing out on all these adventures. He went around with them as all three women hitched a ride on a passing subway train for a quick break. Being told such amazing stories distracted Miles enough for Eric to slip away and find an appropriate place to set up a small sensor nearby where a man with a fully white body with no discernable features and several pulsing black spots on his blank white skin was struggling to pull in a grocery cart of discarded mechanical parts. His eyes were narrowed in as the strange individual was clearly up to no good. With his surveillance device in place, Eric went back to rejoin the others with Miles being none the wiser.

Some Time Later

Everybody landed on the domed top of the Williamsburg Bank Building as the sunset was coming over the New York City skyline. A truly beautiful sight to behold as they all just loitering around while Gwen and Miles were mostly the ones chatting away. One subject of concern Miles had for Gwen came up as she went over to one of the stone platforms overlooking the city below.

"Sooo, have you talked to your dad? About everything."

Both Gwen and Eric had landed next to each other with Felicia being carried by Eve as they all were going to enjoy the view together. Eve was just there to make sure Felicia didn't accidentally slip off and plummeting to her demise. Nobody would allow that, but it was better to be safe than sorry. Gwen looked at Eric as he deactivated his mask so that they could look at each other face to face as she reached out and grabbed his right hand.

"Yeah. Turns out I was wrong. We spoke and are still talking, but I think things are gonna be alright for now."

She tied her hair up with a small band of nanites securing her ponytail before walking casually over the rounded edge of the stone platform to start looking at the sunset upside down. Eric did the same over the opposite edge while Eve brought Felicia down with her to then secure her next to herself with some of her symbiote strands. Miles also joined them and felt a little awkward off to the side as they enjoyed the beauty of the sunset from a unique perspective. He felt jealous of the peace that Gwen felt with her own family accepting her life as Spiderwoman while he was struggling to maintain a relationship with this secret between himself and his family.

"... Something on your mind?"

Hearing Eric speak to him, Miles felt a little caught off guard as he fumbled the start of his sentence.

"Uyyea-yeah. Just got some stuff I'm… Well, Yknow. Just stuff."

"... No, I don't. Care to share? I haven't got an idea what to talk about, so I'll hear you out."

Nobody continued the conversation as they all were waiting for Miles to spill it. Deep down, he wanted to talk to Eric out of habit as he was the first person to truly reach out to help Miles in his time of need. Sighing deeply, the troubled teen let it all out for Eric and the others.

His time as Spiderman was perhaps one of the best things to have ever happened to him. Having this purpose to go and help people filled him with a genuine pride that kept him motivated to keep going. All of it was exactly as he imagined it being.

Recently, he felt the glimmer of it start to fade as he now had more on his plate in combination with his family needing a bigger commitment from him to be more present. He felt stretched thin and now he found himself failing the expectations Eric gave him.

"Me? I gave you expectations?"

Remembering that this wasn't his mentor, Miles elaborated that he was talking about the other him. It did slip his mind, so he apologized and asked Miles to explain further to help fill in the blanks.

Before leaving, him and his version of Gwen left him a photo that had a quote on it that he tries to honor in his everyday life. To live up to his potential everyday and to do great things for those who believed in him. Eve and Felicia were listening intently as Eric put it together a little for Miles. Immediately, he understood what he could say to help point Miles in the right direction.

"I think you're paying attention to the wrong part of that sentiment."

Miles wanted to know what Eric was talking about. He swung over when Eric scooched over on the ledge so that he could sit to his left. Sitting next to Eric upside down with everybody else made it feel a bit more personal as he shared with Miles a critical insight that the teen missed when given those words of wisdom.

"Potential is a combination of opportunity AND action. What does that tell you?"

Pausing to think, Miles arrived at his own conclusion.

"That I need to keep looking for chances to act."

Apparently he misinterpreted the intent of the saying that his future self had likely meant. So Eric took it upon himself to try and steer the teen towards a new possibility.

"Opportunities come up everywhere in our lives. Acting on those opportunities takes time and effort. Knowing which ones need our attention is what takes consideration. You can't be everywhere all at once, so sometimes you need to make yourself available to the opportunities that matter. Even if that means letting the opportunities that still seem important pass you by."

Somehow, that cleared up a lot for Miles. He had always just rushed into everything and kept focused on the task until it was done. Now there wasn't enough time or effort to go around in this life of his. Trying to please everybody only ever leaves dissatisfaction in the aftermath.

"The most important decisions in life are never easy because of how much we can commit to those decisions. If we all could fulfill all of our goals without issue, then compromise would never be a thing. It exists because we have to choose what truly matters to us."

Eric's right hand squeezed Gwen's left hand. She returned the grip and even leaned against her man as they watched the sunset. To him, she was a decision he knew was one of the best in his formerly bleak life. One of many he committed himself to out of his desire to share a truly fulfilling existence with his treasured ones.

Even in this state, Eric was still Mr. Yim to Miles. He always managed to give him guidance that helped him in his time of need. Knowing better, Miles knew that it wouldn't be easy. A lot of effort to reorganize and find things that truly mattered to him would take time and effort. In the end, maybe he needed to act more responsibly and understand that he needed to stop going into everything half heartedly.

"Don't let this stop you from doing what you want to do. As far as I can see, you're already well on your way to becoming a truly magnificent Spiderman."

Turning to Eric on his right, the kind smile filled Miles with a sort of hope he hadn't felt in a while. He gave Eric a knowing nod as Eric returned a nod of his own with the contentment that Miles would be alright in the future.

Just then, a slight buzzing noise could be heard as Eric started reacting to something alerting him. He excused himself before kissing Gwen goodbye and just standing where he sat. To then see Web Weaver simply drop towards the ground and start web slinging after almost scraping the ground was a genuinely cool departure in Miles's books.

Later

Returning to the potluck, Miles grabbed a few things from the table spread while Eve snagged more than her fair share of the leftovers. She knew to remain hidden on the side of the water tower nobody could see her from as she scarfed down her bounty of different homemade dishes. Felicia was out of her Black Cat suit and wore a semi transparent white lace blouse with a white bra partially visible under the material. Her lapis blue skirt had this long slit that went to her upper thigh on the right to reveal the strappy high heels in white leather that added some serious length to her already mile long legs. Her hair was swept over mostly to her left and looked absolutely stunning.

Gwen sported a loose fit cerulean button up silk shirt with a black tube top underneath while wearing some black slack shorts with black leather heeled boots. Both sleeves were let loose and added to the look with just the end of her fingers visible. Miles had Gwen's Spider Society dimension watch as he asked about how he could possibly earn one for himself.

This was something that Eric mentioned to Gwen she needed to talk to Miles about. About why none of his friends ever came to visit him after receiving these devices. About why she couldn't stop by to say hello.

"Miles, did you ever interact with the spider that bit you? Anything weird?"

Thinking back on that incident was an odd ask from Gwen. Miles had to think for a moment what had happened that crazy night from almost a year and a half ago. Going back into the recesses of his mind, he could recall navigating the darkness with his phone light and finding the colorful dead body of the arachnid that gave him his current abilities.

"Miles, I need you to understand something. There is a reason you can't… That you can't join. Why nobody came to see you, no matter how hard we tried…"

Truths rarely ever came in the form of easily digestible pieces of information. Seeing Gwen and Felicia look at him in that serious tone had him digging deeper into the memory to try and remember what stuck out about the spider. It was colorful. It had glowing teal bits. When he pulled out his pen to touch it, the…

"... It glitched."

Finally knowing the truth wasn't comforting in the slightest. His eyes widened as he felt swirling confusion begin to give him vertigo. Realizing he wasn't supposed to become Spiderman left him in this awful limbo that spun his brain around like the blades of a blender. Both woman saw him looking a little dazed, but only one of them acted fast enough to bring him back to reality.

"Kid, look at me. Right now."

Trapping his face in her silky soft hands, Felicia brought Miles's face close to hers as she looked into his eyes with her gleaming emeralds. Staring into her eyes was like diving into a coral reef and witnessing fields of dancing ocean grass absorbing the radiant ripples of sunlight. Her beauty truly was breathtaking.

"I've met all sorts of spider people and spider animals and things. If any of them were half as committed to the job as you are, then I wouldn't have to feel so worried for them all. All of us see you as Spiderman. So don't let some stupid standards from a bunch of people who deserve none of your respect tell you what you are."

Even Eve peered over the bottom of the water tower to show that all of them believed that he was a fit and proper Spiderman worthy of the title. Nobody had a single strand of doubt over the matter.

"So stop worrying and be Spiderman, Spiderman."

That smile was dangerous. How anybody was allowed to be this beautiful should be illegal for how easily she could charm even the most calloused people against love. All he could do was nod and give Felicia the confirmation that he understood.

After seeing he got the memo, Felicia gave the teen a kind smile and even brought his cheek to her lips to plant a kiss that he could still feel after she pulled back and let him stand on his own. Everybody just giggled as he stumbled a little before he caught his weight on the wooden hand railing underneath the water tower.

"Hellooo!"

Popping up over the wooden railing, Rio Morales showed up and easily got past the railing while her husband struggled a bit. Miles's parents were spying on their son talking with the blonde and white haired women with some genuine intrigue. Who they were and why they were with their son finally got them involved when the white haired woman got rather personal with their precious son.

Rio had all of four seconds before Felicia swooped in on the mother with the charm of a seductress radiating off of her. Sergeant Jefferson Davis almost fell backwards and down to the rooftop below as Felicia greeted the mother.

"You must be Rio. I can see where Miles gets his charm with a mother as radiant as you."

Only Miles managed to shake himself out of his horror as he realized his mother was actually blushing as Felicia had tilted his mother's chin up to make their eyes meet with just the tips of her long fingers. Davis also stumbled in and tripped over himself before standing back up while clearing his throat to try and assert himself in the situation. Felicia also promptly cut the man off as she acted more innocent while still leaving him stunned by her effortless charm.

"This must be Sergeant Jefferson. Your son has been doing your stature justice with his words, being so strapping."

Every mean bone in his body turned to jelly as he just had this stupid grin on his face while rubbing the back of his head with his right hand. It mortified him to see his dad try and puff out his chest while his mother looked like she was about to faint from overheating. Now the mission was to try and stand between Felicia and his parents. Gwen helped by pulling Felicia and smacking her ass softly from behind to tell her to behave.

Things would have continued in this playful manner had it not been for a sudden collection of soft buzzing Miles heard from experience. Now even Gwen and Felicia had this look of sudden shock that accompanied them all instinctually reaching for their rings. A few seconds passed before Gwen dismissed them all abruptly.

"I'm so sorry Mrs. Morales and Mr. Davis. Me and Felicia have to go right now. An emergency has just come up."

They both vaulted the wooden barrier and made off while wearing high heels. Rio wondered how these women could run so fast in their high heels as they all booked it to the fire escape on the opposite end of the wide rooftop they crossed.

Once that was settled, Jefferson was already struggling to go back down the ladder he just climbed with Rio noticing her son looking introspective. Asking him in Spanish what was wrong, he told her something rather insightful she hadn't expected from her son so soon after his recent mistake.

"Mom… I'm sorry that I put you and dad second. You guys are important to me, and I haven't done anything to show that. So I'll be here. Because I love you guys."

Feeling him embrace her, Rio also could pick up something her son was trying to hide. Her instincts as a mother had her wondering what she should say as Miled passed her to go back to the party. Before he could reach for the wooden hand railing, she followed her gut and said something to her son that she felt was necessary.

"Go. There's something you need to do, right?"

Stopping himself from jumping at the opportunity had Miles asking his own mother what she meant. There really wasn't anything he could keep from her that she could see as bothering her son. Rio embraced her son when he turned around and just let him know how she felt.

"You are the thing me and your father care about more than anything else in the entire world. We just wanted to show you we love you so much. You see that, so keeping you here with that in mind isn't going to let you grow."

She gave her son her blessing to go and finish his unfinished business. Miles gave his mom a smile of thanks as he left to follow the others towards the thing that caused them to run off.

Letting one's child go off to make mistakes was never easy. It felt like yesterday he was this little boy who would cry without his mother holding him.

Rio fought the tears as she watched Miles go off and embrace what it meant to become a man.
