Welcome to chapter 14 of this wonderful story of Reba. I hope you're enjoying this so far. It's Christmas time on the Reba show. We'll start with Christmas Eve and we'll go into Christmas Day but I hope you enjoy this wonderful story. I think it'll be a lovely beautiful story and I think it'll be great. It'll be Cheyenne's first Christmas in their new house and well then Cheyenne and Elizabeth's first Christmas in this house and they will be hosting Christmas.
Let's see how they do in hosting Christmas.
This first part will be Christmas Eve then Cheyenne and Elizabeth decorate their Christmas tree.
OK, then let's go.
Christmas Eve
Elizabeth was excited when the Christmas tree was brought in the van put up the tree with his silly clumsiness with a little help from Cheyenne re-organizing it and putting it in place Elizabeth was excited she would get to hang the ornaments more than she had several years before this is the first Christmas they were having at their own house with their mother father and other family members will be coming. She was excited, but she had to get it all done before bedtime before Santa arrived.
She already had her list and it was already sent. She was excited. Have you been good this year? Her mother asked. Elizabeth nodded her head. Yes, Mother, I have been good for Santa. She said good. She said as they put up the tree and checked the lights, then it was time to put the decorations on. She put the decorations on where she could reach. It looked beautiful. It looks great, honey. Cheyenne commented and said to her husband, do you think your mom will like it of course she will and she likes that we're on our own now Cheyenne.
I know Cheyenne said and it's our first Christmas here in the new house I am so excited about hosting this year and everybody is coming to stay or not stay but coming in to open gifts at our house. It's gonna be wonderful like always.
The lights were strung around the tree and then the star was placed on top. Are you gonna read the night before Christmas to Elizabeth tonight? Of course, Van said always read it to her every year he says good. I can't wait for you to recite it to her.
Her dad makes funny noises not funny noises, but sounds and voices when he reads the night before Christmas. Cheyenne smiled knowing that her daughter was gonna enjoy it again and again, and so did Elizabeth. She was happy that her father was gonna read to her even though he couldn't read well, he recited this poem to her, which is funnier because he made all these funny sounds, noises, and voices. It makes her giggle and laugh. She asked if she'd read it. He'll read it to her new sibling yes he said.
After she was done they ate, and the tree was decorated, it was time to read the story to Elizabeth. Elizabeth went upstairs got in her pajamas and went and got under the covers as her father got the book down for her, and began to read it to her. Elizabeth laughed and giggled as he read it to her and recited it to her like he does every day every day but every night leading up to Christmas, especially tonight because it was Christmas Eve. .
Then he told her good night and she said good night and she went to bed as her parents continued to wrap gifts before morning, then the two of them went to bed after that to wait for morning and all the people to arrive at their house.
morning
Christmas Day
Elizabeth woke up bright and early and ran to her presence wait Cheyenne called. Wait till your grandparents and other family members get here Elizabeth, please and for a moment remember oh OK she said.
Right now being the only child means she can get away with a little more when she gets to be a big sister. It'll be a lot different for her.
Don't forget we're going over to your mother's later. Van said yes Cheyenne said I know we're going over to my mothers for dinner. We're not having dinner here. She said Reba and Brock were coming here so they could watch Elizabeth open her presents.
And her stocking man said yes of course just make sure you have all the food we need to take over to Reba's house and Reba will have presents for Elizabeth as well as us too. Do you have the presents for your mom? Yes, Cheyenne said.
Also will be going to your parents later than not yes, we'll have dinner over at. We'll have supper over at my parent's house then said and they'll have presents for Elizabeth too and us. Yes, Elizabeth smiled that she was going to both her grandparent's houses and her parents her grandparents were on her mama's side and her daddy said we're coming here to watch her open her presence which made her happy.
Barbara Jean, who also had some kind of gift for her along with her uncle Henry, who she loves to see all the time also came and brought a gift first to arrive Barbara Jean, who came by herself because she was divorced now with her son Henry, she had a gift for Elizabeth a gift for van and a gift for Cheyenne.
She asked Cheyenne when's the baby shower in two days Cheyenne said after the new year, I think she said I have to look at my calendar Cheyenne said.
Regardless, bring a gift though it will be a lot better baby shower than the one I had for Elizabeth. I won't be getting things for myself this time like I did that last time everyone laughed.
She checked it it's it's a week or two after New Year's. Cheyenne said everyone just nods. OK they said will bring you a gift and join you, especially me Barbara Jean said.
Next to arrive was Brock. He didn't bring any gifts because he'll have them over at Reba's house but he came to watch his granddaughter open presents. Oh, kiddo he says ruffling her hair. Hi, Elizabeth said it smells good. Whatever you're fixing for breakfast Cheyenne yeah Cheyenne says thanks Elizabeth was awake at like five this morning. She said what that's pretty early. I mean we had to get up early too, but I did. I mean, he says reboot. I don't know. She'll probably be here soon.
Then Reba showed up she didn't bring presents like Brock because Elizabeth would get to open presents at her house. The only reason Barbara Jean brought a gift is because she wasn't coming to Reba's house for dinner.
Grandma she says hugging her Elizabeth Reva says, hugging her and we are ready to open first vanish Cheyenne opens the presents from Barbara Jean that's nice River said, and then Henry as well, and then Elizabeth opens her Santa gifts first and then her parents from the presents for her parents and then her present from Barbara Jean, and then her present from Henry and both Henry and Barbara Jean had something to eat quick and they left right after they open their presents. We have to get to Big Daddy's house, but that is not a long way off. It is but we wanted to stop by quickly and give Elizabeth her Present. Barbara Jean said now I have to travel a very long way to get to Big Daddy's house.
Hi, and Barbara Jean left with Henry and drove away after that Elizabeth took her gifts to her room, including her stocking.
Cheyenne also gave her gift to Van and Van gave her gift to him.
Well, Reagan and Brock watched.
Then they put their gifts away and got the food ready to go to Reva's house they all left and went to Reva's house.
that afternoon
at Reba's house
Everyone showed up the first to arrive was Cheyenne and Elizabeth they were there early. Brock also came since he was not married to Barbara Jean. He was obligated to go to visit Barbara Jean's family. And he already gave him Henry. He already gave Henry his present over at Cheyenne's house. That was the only gift he brought with him had at least two or three gifts and he took them with him anyway.
But everyone showed up at Reva's house. Jake came and was next. Jake was next with a boatload of presents and a few food items that he bought from the store obviously cause he's not much of a cook. Ben and Cheyenne already had their food ready to go as well, and then there were Rea's parents who were also there who had gifts for Cheyenne and everybody and Brock's parent's mother at least.
The gifts were passed out once everyone arrived. Even Keira had gifts for everyone and they were gifts for Keira too. They gave presents first and then they ate a beautiful dinner that was spread before them and they ate everything.
Then Cheyenne and packed up again they had to leave once again afterward they had to go to Van's parents' home.
later that evening
Van van's parents
Austin left Cheyenne's mother's home. They went to Vance's home or his family once again. They opened more presents and they were expensive gifts because well Van's parents were rich. They opened gifts first and had gifts for Vance's parents to open, they chatted for a while,
They also ate another beautiful supper. They were full that was for sure.
Once again they chatted a bit then after that, they left and went back home with everything and unpacked their car. Elizabeth took her things to her room. There were a lot of things for the new baby too that were given, even though there will be a baby shower for more.
Returning home
They unpacked the car and brought everything in like I said Elizabeth took her things to her room and filled her room with her presence which she will re-organize in her room later Cheyenne left theirs in the living room, and they'll take them to her their room later it was a long day, the one pack and clean up tomorrow.
They went to bed and rested
