Daemon of Wrath: Thanks, and oof to Aizawa. Also, I guess you're right, Ammut does sound better as a Mentor. As for Shoto, he's in a dilemma where he realizes that his quirk is now replaced with magic and the fact that he wins against Endeavor due to cheating didn't sit well with him. His mental state is on autopilot where he desperately wants to 'prove himself'. As for new shadows, you'll have to see. For the Ant Raid, my plan is for the Korean Organization to ask for Gang Orca's assistance, and in this story, they rely on quality rather than quantity given how Awakeners can grow stronger, so expect them to be strong enough to face Jeju Island with less difficulty than those in canon.

AnimeFan13579: …Your idea for Ibara is an absolute genius, do you mind if I use them?

uchiha-rune: well, you just have to wait and see.

ProjectIceman: What do you expect from the main protagonist's luck? XD

Whitemare: First of all, don't worry too much about it. I have zero idea how to write a making-out scene, so if I try to write it, it'll be one hell of a cringe-inducing scene. As for your idea of the younger brother coming to Red Gate and David Shield, you'll just have to wait and see. The reason why I put Tokoyami instead of Mina is due to Tokoyami and Dark Shadow obsessed with Izuku's real 'identity' and 'strength'.

Kouteikuro: Since Gang Orca was added as a staff member not long ago, they need to find a way to fit his lessons into the curriculum, making a joint Magic class for A and B not possible. As for Momo, she simply didn't think it through.

Training Ground Gamma

UA High

"This is bad…"

Gang Orca frowns as he looks at the Red Gate, trying to use the power from the Fragments of Brilliant Light to bypass the barrier, but for some reason, he can't bypass the barrier. Ochako and Eijirou stare at their mentor in worry.

"No luck, sir?" Ochako asks in worry.

"No, no one bit." Gang Orca says with frustration. "Damn it, because of my lack of foresight, we got two students in danger."

"Two!? There are three of them!" Present Mic exclaims.

"Midoriya could survive this with no difficulty." Gang Orca states.

"You give too much faith in the boy, don't you think you might've given him one hell of an ego?" Ectoplasm stated.

"I give the boy that much faith because he has the power to back it up and he's too humble to brag about it." Gang Orca says with a frown. "And the last thing he'll get is an overinflated ego. He had to deal with Bakugou for 10 years and he refuses to be someone like him,"

"That's…..fair…" Present Mic mutters. "But, don't you feel the slightest of worry for Midoriya?"

"…..I'm more worried about the poor soul facing him," Gang Orca mutters, making the teachers look at the humanoid orca puzzlingly. Meanwhile, the students were discussing in worry for the rest.

"I'm honestly shocked at Todoroki breaking the rule so casually…." Iida mutters. "Why did he even do it in the first place?"

"Pride, maybe?" Tsuyu asks, making the others look at her. "I mean, he seems peeved by the fact that he got 4th on the quirk test, then got beaten by Ochako-chan during training, he must've to feel threaten and tried to clear the dungeon just to prove a point?"

"Tsuyu-san, I think you may have overthink about it," Momo says with a sweatdrop. "He can't be that petty,"

"How can you be sure, Momo-chan?" Tsuyu asks.

"Well….I did meet him several times when there's a gala," Momo says, not noticing how everyone looks at her with a shocked expression. "He's always been alone, standing at the corner while drinking soda, and when we talk, he's always angry. Unlike Bakugou, his rage feels cold…."

"Huh…" Tsuyu ponders.

"Let's not talk more about Todoroki behind his back," Iida suggests. "We got more important things to worry about!"

"But, aren't you the one who starts the conversation?" Iida feels like he got slapped on his face before he started to apologize profusely. Momo looks at Tsuyu unimpressively as the frog girl sticks her tongue out mischievously. Suddenly, they all hear an alarm go off again and they all grow even more worried.

"Again!?" Present Mic exclaims before he calls Nedzu. "Boss, what's going on!?"

"An unidentified figure just walked past UA's gate!" Nedzu exclaims, a hint of worry evident in his voice. Suddenly, a figure appears behind Class 1-A and everyone freezes, a massive bloodlust covers the area. Ochako and Eijirou become nervous as they sense the bloodlust from the figure while Gang Orca scowls.

"Ho, what do we have here? A field trip?" The figure speaks in English with a thick Japanese accent in his voice. "To think Japan has turned Gate-Clearing duty into a mere field trip, and the Red Gate makes it funnier. Could Japan go any lower? I guess leaving this country is the right choice."

"Is that…?" Iida mutters in shock.

"No way…..The number 9 US hero, the Savage Hero: Jackal…?" Momo mutters, a hint of fear in her voice.

"Jackal?" Tsuyu asks.

"He's….a former pro-hero from Japan who moves into the US after getting invited to join Number One Hero Team, The Scavenger, led by the Prideful Hero: Goliath," Momo explains.

"But, what is he doing here in Japan?" Iida mutters in confusion. Ochako and Eijirou hear the entire thing, but they don't lower their guard a bit.

"Hello, Masato." Gang Orca says while rolling his eyes. "How's dropping to number 9 in just two weeks doing for you?" The figure, Masato, looks at Gang Orca before he bursts into laughter.

"Oh, Sakamata…when did you become funny? Aren't you supposed to be a violent orca who's out for blood?" Masato says with a ferocious grin.

"Have you looked in the mirror, lately?" Gang Orca retorts as Masato grins before getting closer, his eyes turn bloodshot. "What are you doing here? After abandoning Japan for the sake of power, you have the balls to come back."

"It's a funny story, you see. I was enjoying my day in my apartment, relaxing with whores that try to take advantage of me, beating villains and clearing Gates at States, then suddenly, I got the news." Masato leans closer to Gang Orca. "Japan strikes again, it's not enough to ruin my life with their insane level of bigotry, but they have the gall to take my brother away from me."

"Since when do you care?" Gang Orca retorts.

"I always care." Masato growls. "Now, tell me. Who's the one responsible for my brother's death?"

"I have no idea," Gang Orca says.

"Bullshit, you keep track of Gate Activity around Japan, and my brother happens to die in one of them," Masato says with gritted teeth. "Tell me, who did this?"

"Like I said, I have no idea," Gang Orca says firmly. "And even if I know, I would not tell you. There's no way I let you take another innocent person's life."

Momo, who understands English, covers her mouth in horror. Of all the things she expects, the revelation of Jackal killing someone isn't what she expects. Sure, Jackal is the greatest controversy in the hero community, from being a former quirkless who got strength that rivals All Might at 15, the brutality displayed whenever he captured villains, the sheer disrespect he gives to every Japanese citizen, then abandoning Japan for wealthier life, but no one expects him to kill anyone, especially the innocents.

Ochako and Eijirou, who learn English from Izuku and Igris, widen their eyes before slightly glaring at the hero. They share the same feelings with Momo, unable to believe such things. Eijirou has a feeling he might know who his brother is and if he is right, then Izuku might be in big trouble.

"So, you know," Masato says with a grin. "You know, it'll be easier if you just tell me. You don't want a bloodbath around here, do you-!?"

In an instant, he feels multiple ice spikes and flame arrows surround him at point-blank range while Eijirou points his claws at Masato's throat, growling in a threatening manner. Masato looks at Eijirou with a blank expression before looking at Ochako, who glares at him while pointing her staff at him in a threatening manner. Everyone was simply too shocked by their fast movement while Gang Orca remained impassive.

Back in Dungeon

"I, Albus of the Lycanthrope Tribe, apologize for our rudeness, Shadow Monarch!"

The wolfmen kneel on the snow-covered ground while facing Izuku before bowing, their weapons piled up next to Izuku. Izuku can't help but sweatdrop at the scene while Igris nods in approvement. Meanwhile, Tokoyami and Dark Shadow can be seen shivering but still looking at Izuku in awe. Izuku decided to silently use [Insight] , an evolved skill of [Appraisal] on the albino wolfman.

[Albus, the White-Maned Lycanthrope]

[A wolfman born with a pure white fur which only appears once per thousand years under the blue moon. He is born into a humble family consisting of two villagers and raised with care and love. A skilled warrior and mage, he becomes the village's greatest defender. Currently leads the village to defend against the Ice Elf, he has no desire for this war to continue and wants it to stop, for the sake of his village and the Ice Elves' ]

'Hmm…' Izuku muses silently before looking at the wolfmen still bowing at him. This made him sweatdrop once again. "All of you, just get up and stop apologizing…"

"H-how could we? We have made a grave sin!" The albino wolfman, Albus, says in a panic, making Izuku facepalm while Igris continues to nod. Izuku glares at his commander, who stops before looking away 'innocently' as Izuku's expression turns to deadpan.

"Look, we're not here to do anything. We're simply looking for a lost human who stupidly decided to enter this realm," Izuku says in annoyance, taking notes from the information given by Igris. Igris calls Earth a different realm and Lulu seems to use the same term, so he expects they also refer to different dimensions as realms.

"A human? We have not seen one," Albus exclaims in confusion.

"Really? A boy this tall?" Izuku gestures his hand, reaching his shoulder. "White hair? Slightly sharp ears and slightly pale skin tone, wearing white clothes?"

"That's a human? Not Ice elves?" A wolfman asks in surprise, making Igris stiffen.

"Ice elves?" Izuku asks in confusion.

"It's a tribe of monsters like these Lycanthropes, they are tall, have white hairs, pale blue skins, glowing eyes, and masters of ice magic," Igris says before cursing. "I should've connected the dots, that boy looks too similar to Ice Elves!"

"If you're looking for Ice Elves, they passed this path not long ago, dragging someone away as well," Another wolfman says.

"…..so, Todoroki is mistaken as Ice Elves, and got dragged away….possibly to their base," Izuku says in a blank tone. "….If he didn't irritate me by entering the Gate as he belongs here, I would be laughing my ass off at his situation."

"S-Shadow Monarch…" Izuku's eyes twitch violently as he hears Tokoyami call him that and turns around to ask him to stop. But, he pauses when he sees Tokoyami is freezing. "F-forgive me for my impudence, b-but i-is there a way to warm myself….?"

"C-C-Caw-ld!!!!" Dark Shadow exclaims as everyone puffs up their cheeks, struggling to hold their laughter at the pun, even Igris.

"…..I-is there a place so my guest could keep himself warm?" Izuku says, trying to stop himself from shaking and laughing. The wolfmen merely nod and gesture them to follow, also struggling to hold their laughter.

Meanwhile

Ice Elves' Village

"Uggh…" Shoto groans as he opens his eyes and gets up. He froze when he saw an Ice Elf point their spear at his throat. Cold sweat drops from Shoto's forehead as he gulps nervously.

"Easy there, child. He is a guest." A voice can be heard from outside the tent as the young Ice Elf puts the blade away from Shoto's throat. In an instant, another figure enters the tent and Shoto's blood becomes cold, figuratively. The figure in front of him is like the previous Ice Elf, but instead, it is much taller, and the sheer power radiates from the figure making Shoto even more nervous.

"Sleep well, child?" The figure says as Shoto looks somewhat surprised, not expecting to understand the Ice Elf. "Ah, you can understand us. Good, this will make things easier,"

"W-who are you?" Shoto asks warily.

"You can call me Baruka," The Elf says with a hint of amusement. "I have to say, you are not what I expected,"

"What do you mean by that?" Shoto asks with narrowed eyes.

"From what our Monarch, Lord Sillad, has told me regarding you, I was expecting more from you," Baruka says with a grin. "But, all I see is a pathetic bug struggling with the rest of the bugs."

"Y-you know Sillad-!?" Shoto's words are cut off as Baruka points his dagger on Shoto's throat. Shoto couldn't believe his eyes as Baruka was moving so fast that human eyes could not keep up with him. 'H-he's so fast!!'

"Give more respect to our Lord, the one who blessed you with his strength, and eliminate your curse. Anyone would've died to receive such a blessing," Baruka says while scowling. "I still yet to understand why our Lord chose a bug than one of our tribe, but I shall be worried about that later. What I should worry about is your abysmal performance using such power!"

"W-what do you know!?" Shoto says with gritted teeth.

"Everything. Our lord was generous enough to provide information regarding you bugs." Baruka says with a grin. "And let me tell you, your skill in wielding magic is abysmal. No wonder that girl thrashes you, she is far more superior than you."

"I'll show you…" Shoto growls as multiple ice spikes start to emerge from thin air and lunges towards Baruka, but Baruka merely stands there and the ice disappears into thin air before it can touch him. This made Shoto widen his eyes as Baruka put his dagger closer to Shoto's throat.

"It was a joke…." Baruka mutters in disbelief. "….wow, when was the last time I ever felt so frustrated? Just from seeing such an abysmal display of magic? "

"You-!" Shoto doesn't finish his sentence as he is engulfed in a pillar of ice as Baruka puts away his daggers, a frown on his face.

"It seems that there's much to do, my Lord…." Baruka mutters under his breath before he whistles, calling multiple Ice Elves into the tent. "Please take care of him. Our Lord still has uses for him, so make sure he's well taken care of."

"Understand, chief." One of the Ice Elves bows before dragging the frozen Shoto away with ice magic. Baruka merely hums in acknowledgment, deep in thought.

Back to Izuku and Tokoyami

"Welcome, Shadow Monarch, to our village…or what was left in it….."

Izuku can't help but be somewhat horrified as he looks at the 'supposed' village. He expects a small rural area with small houses around and filled with villagers socializing or helping each other. What he didn't expect is a ruined village like it has gone through war.

Tokoyami and Dark Shadow didn't fare any better. Both of them were horrified by the scene as the cold no longer bothered them, and also thanks to the fur coat Izuku gave him. The village is filled with ruined tents, each of the pieces scattered around the area. Villagers treating each other's injuries, some were injured, and others lost their limbs. Children crying while begging for food while their parents were helplessly comforting them.

The group slowly approaches the village as Izuku remains silent, holding his hand to keep them from shaking. Igris merely stays silent, frowning under the helmet. He has witnessed the aftermath of wars multiple times while serving under Ashborn, and he has grown numb towards it. It's not that Igris didn't care, but he was no longer affected by the scene.

"What happened…?" Izuku mutters under his breath.

"Apologies, Shadow Monarch….you see, our village is at war against the Ice Elves Tribe," Albus says in a solemn tone. "Our tribe has been at war for a very long time, and each time, we barely manage to defend our village against them. None of us ever try to attack them as we have no desire for this war."

'Just like what the Appraisal stated.' Izuku muses.

"It….didn't help that the Ice Bear attacked our village the moment we finished defending our village. We…are completely overwhelmed. None of us have enough time to recover or rebuild…."

"None of us were able to go hunt for food as well, the village is completely defenseless…." Another wolfman explains.

"…." Izuku merely stays silent as he looks around, his body shakes even more violently as he sees every victim around the village. He takes a shaky breath as he looks at a young wolfman sitting silently and facing a pile of snow with a stick shaped like a cross stabbing on the top of the pile. It takes Izuku a second before he realizes what's under that pile of snow, or who.

"Albus…" An old wolfman walks out of their hut, holding a staff with runes carved on it. "Didn't I tell you to not-!" The wolfman froze when he noticed Igris and then Izuku. He manages to sense the mana from the boy and his breath grows heavy, shaking violently in fear.

"A-Albus….w-why is the Shadow Monarch in here!?" The old wolfman asks fearfully and every wolfman in the tribe hears this. They immediately grow fearful as they look at Izuku. Tokoyami can't help but sense the situation becomes tense as they all stare at Izuku fearfully while wondering why they all reacting in such a manner.

"He is merely looking for a human who got lost in this realm," Albus states.

"Is that what you truly believe!? Did you think it through when you brought him here, a place where many of our people died!? He could use them to be part of his Shadow Army and refuses to let them rest in peace!" The old wolfman cries, making Izuku froze at the accusation. Every time he encounters monsters, he always meets with those who fear him from his mere presence or those who want to gain his powers, but he never encounters someone who blatantly states the reason behind their fears towards him.

Izuku is snapped out of his thoughts when he feels someone tugging his pants. He looks down to see that young wolfman who was paying respect towards the dead and he is shaking in fear. The rest of the wolfmen widened their eyes and panicked at the child's audacity.

"Please…" The young wolfman says while trembling. "Please….c-can you bring my parents back to life…?"

This request made Izuku widen his eyes in shock while the others had their jaws dropped. Of all the things they expected, none of them saw this coming.

"Why….?" Izuku mutters, unable to believe such a request.

"M-my parents….t-they're a great warrior….they didn't deserve such death, an ambush…f-from those cowardly elves….they….they would be better….t-to serve under you, sir…." The young wolfman stutters, sounding like he's trying to convince Izuku.

"…..that's not the actual reason, is it?" Izuku states, making the young wolfman froze.

"….no, no sir…" The young wolfman mutters. "I….just want my parents…."

As he said that, wisps of shadow emerged from the grave, making everyone freeze in fear. Izuku looks at the grave silently as he hears whispers from the shadow as the shadow tries to reach the young wolf.

"Andor," It's the only word he could hear from their whisper. Izuku notices that both of them unintentionally have the same intention. Unable to ignore it, he walks and reaches the grave, kneeling before letting his hand touch the buried body.

"Arise…." Izuku whispers gently as black miasma surrounds the grave. The old wolfman widened his eyes in shock before the black miasma made contact with him, causing him to freeze. He thought the power of Shadow Monarch was terrifying, the power to bring back death seemed unnatural and it violated the law of the universe itself. He had witnessed the power of the Monarchs itself during his prime and their darkness was too evil for anyone to handle.

So, how come this boy's darkness is so gentle and embracing? Darkness is always associated with everyone's negative emotions, and from Monarchs, their darkness radiates disgust, hatred, pride, and wrath. But, the boy's darkness was filled with respect, kindness, warmth, and love. It doesn't make any sense to the elder.

Meanwhile, Tokoyami and Dark Shadow seem to be able to sense the darkness as well. When he first meets Midoriya, it is merely an overwhelming force radiating from the boy, but the moment he senses his power, it is nothing like he ever felt. Like the old wolfman, he believes that darkness is just a manifestation of his negative emotions, a suppressed feeling he had toward every person who scorns him and he believes it's the reason why Dark Shadow seems to be prone to violence. But, sensing Izuku's darkness is a completely different experience, and unlike his, Izuku radiates too much positive energy that he can't believe it is the darkness manifested from Izuku.

Has he always been wrong about darkness? Is that why he and Dark Shadow sometimes clashes with each other? If so, what should he do? For the first time in his life, Tokoyami is at loss of words.

In an instant, the shadow wolfmen emerge from the grave. It's unnerving to see two of the greatest warriors brought from the dead. Izuku gets up before looking at both of them and nods, which both warriors return and approach the young wolfman, Andor, who looks at the shadow duo with wide eyes, his body is trembling.

"Mom? Dad?" Andor asks shakily as the two shadows smile.

"We're here, Andor." Both of them state as Andor tackles them into a hug, crying in tears. The Elder approaches them and uses his Mana Senses on them, but to his surprise, the Mana signature tells that it is still them, except for their body created by the power of Shadow Monarch itself. He senses no tampering from the power of darkness that made the two wolfmen obedient to the Shadow Monarch.

"How…?" The Elder whispers in awe. "They radiate darkness, but the warmth and kindness could be mistaken as light itself. And there's no sense of mind tampering…" The Elder looks at Izuku. "How? Aren't you Shadow Monarch? You have pretty much control over death, so how are they not controlled."

"Elder!" Albus exclaims in horror, baffled at the Elder's audacity.

"Like you said, I have control over death," Izuku says with a smile. "I can simply choose not to control them,"

"….so simple…." The Elder muses before looking at Izuku.

"I always give every creature a chance. I made sure to ask if they were willing to assist me." Izuku says gently. "Also, I will not revive the death as you wish. After all, not everyone is willing to go back alive and choose to rest in peace."

"…..how are you a Monarch? Y-you're too kind….so much darkness….yet so warmth, like a sun…" The Elder says shakily, tears escaping his eyes.

"Darkness and Light are merely two sides of the same coin. It's one thing that people always misunderstand." Izuku replies. "Too much light, it shall blind you from everything, just like darkness. Too much warmth will burn you, like how too much cold will freeze you. They are different, but at the same time, they're also the same. Balance is required."

These answers made the Elder and Tokoyami widen their eyes, finally understanding them. It was like they found the answer to the universe itself. Izuku looks at the shadows still hugging the child. Suddenly, the status window pops up, much to Izuku's surprise.

[Emergency Quest: Helps the Lycanthrope]

[Progress: 0% ]

[Rewards: 30 Stats points, Runestones x 2]

[Fails: No Rewards]

'You don't need to tell me to save them, but thanks for being generous with the gift,' Izuku lets out a sigh before he starts walking towards Albus, which is noticed by everyone.

"M-Monarch? Is there anything I could help?" Albus asks in confusion.

"This village needs food, right? And you say something about Ice Bear?" Izuku asks, which the villagers nod in confusion. "Tell me where the den of Ice Bears is. You all are getting fed tonight,"

"W-what…?" Albus mutters in shock.

"Did I stutter?" Izuku asks as Albus shakes his head.

"I…could lead you there," Albus mutters. "But, sir….is it really okay?"

"If you decline my help, then that means you decline my gift for you people, and that's rude," Izuku says as Albus gulps before nodding hesitantly. Izuku then notices two of his new shadows seem to hesitate, still hugging their child.

"….may I ask what are the names of the two parents?" Izuku whispers to the Elder, snapping it from his thoughts.

"Allister and Kelly," The Elder states as Izuku nods.

"Allister, Kelly," Izuku calls them out, getting their attention. "Stay with Andor. Don't need to overthink choosing between my order and your responsibility as a parent." Both shadows perk up and nod while Andor brightens up, still hugging them.

"Tokoyami, you shall stay here. Albus, take me to their den." Izuku says as Albus nods while Tokoyami hesitantly nods, wishing to witness his lord back in action.

To be continued
