First tip for when going toe-to-toe with high deities and powers beyond your comprehension, don't throw your sword at them. Unbelievably so, it leaves you in a position which is called being defenseless. What's the first thing I did? I threw Riptide straight at her. Was it worth it? In terms of the fight no, but it did leave her confused and angered.

"You Dare Try and win this fight dishonestly why you-" that last part which most likely would've been her cursing my family bloodline was cut off due to her needing to defend against Earthshaker in a split second. With Riptide now lodged into a tree I would have to defend with my shield and trident until it returned to my pocket. We danced around each other as we sized each other up to see if any weakness can be exploited. My problem is that I haven't had a full on spare with a god since Gaia and I haven't had a fight with anyone since Jason either. The other problem is that this was an inconvenient time to have an actual first fight with Earthshaker, but I needed her to think Riptide was stuck in the tree similar to my fight with Antaeus. Just much less ropes to dance around. Eris struck first with her sword which was deflected by my shield. She had a wild look in her eyes as if she enjoyed the thrill of battle like any crazy person would.

We traded blows as I got to the feeling of earthshaker. In the corner of my eye I noticed how well the Romans were doing which to my guess was really well, I also saw three shadowy figures jump across and into the border but before I could do anything about that I had to deal with the lunatic at hand, I also had to trust Reyna and the other Cohorts would deal with that. We traded blows for a few minutes with Eris going onto the defensive after the first minutes of our spar. She seemed to be muttering to herself words that I barely heard but some were "No no I won't injure him" and "He could be wearing the amulet". After a few minutes I was able to disarm her by flipping her sword over and gave her a solid gash in her arm.

"Your decent with your trident I give you that, maybe that sea blood is useful in the end", she then took notice of her gash and placed her hand over it causing it to slowly stop flowing ichor the blood of the gods out of it. "You're lucky he might be wearing the amulet and connect your souls together" What did she say? Our souls? I didn't have time to question what she said as now I was put on the defensive, with the battle progressing longer I could feel my immaturity with the trident slowly taking notice as it was harder to defend with it. With Riptide still lodged into the tree I knew I had to do something else in case my PLan A failed. We went for probably another ten minutes as I was then disarmed with only my shield left, but what bothered me the most was her words, what amulet? And was she really holding back?

She did that weird maniacal laugh as I noticed I was placed with the Tiber facing towards my back, I felt the familiar flow of the river course through my body as I got an idea. Small droplets. I felt the familiar tug in my stomach as droplets of the river coursed through the land, slowly making it wet. How she didn't notice I'm not sure, maybe she did have laughing gas they give you at the dentist to not notice anything, but I had the water condense on the land as I felt a sudden chill go through my body, I haven't done this before and I felt beads of sweat on my forehead as I attempted to make it unnoticeable.

"Giving up sea spawn? I knew you weren't much of a fight" she said that as if she wasn't as well drenched in sweat, I noticed that the Romans were already down with the fight as they watched our brawl come to the climax of it. I uncapped Riptide and pointed it at her.

"It looks like your men are done, and such a shame, I was hoping I could get a better fight from a cyclops after I was done with you." her smile wore off into pure hatred, much like Ares it seemed that she tried to get her enemies wound up, but being hot-headed like him was her main flaw. It looked like they were related or something which I would totally bet all my drachma that they were.

"You dare-", she charged at me but had that cartoony fall you'd see in Tom & Jerry, all around us in a circle was ice from the water from the Tiber. I smirked at my idea as I lunged and pointed Riptide towards her throat, for a moment fear, anger, and hatred splashed across her face clearly appalled at the fact a mortal took her down. The Romans cheered as this was a clear sign. We Won.

"Well then-" she held her throat closer to the tip of my blade "-go on and finish it, unless you're scared of course sea spawn." I intended on doing just that, I assumed like all monsters gods would go to tartarus that same way, but in the corner of my eye again I saw Reyna this time, bruised up and my guard for a split second was thrown off as Eris laughed and battered away Riptide as she vanished in a fit of laughs in the air. Disappointed I couldn't take her down at least for interrogation, I was then lifted by the Romans as cheers of "Praetor, Praetor" was heard as Hazel and Frank appeared on my sides, but soon the cheering stopped as Reyna was taking into one of the centurions arms looking worse than I thought, I ran to her side to hear her say, "the took Terminus, and they took my dogs as well!"
