Hello my fellow readers, writers, and people who have been enjoying this story so far, I'm back with another new chapter. In this chapter we'll be going over the events of the episode of Ben 10: Omniverse titled outbreak which is another one of my personal favorite episodes. some of you may have noticed since I've started covering Omniverse I've been switching between whose P.O.V. I've been covering in each chapter between Ben and Mira.
While I know I covered Mira's P.O.V. in the last chapter I'm going to be covering her P.O.V. again for the simple fact that I feel it would make a lot more sense with what happens in this chapter. Anyway I don't have anything else to add so without further ado let's get on with the show.

Mira's P.O.V.
the three of us Ben, Rook, and myself were currently training in one of the many training rooms in plumber's HQ with me in my normal form and Ben in his Wildvine form. Both Rook and myself had one of his plant tendrils coming after us while we were dodging them and one of them almost hit us if it weren't for quick reflexes and it destroyed one of the pillars that were acting as obstacles.
We were moving closer to Ben but he kept us at least a few feet away as he blocked our path forward by slamming his arm on to the floor in front of where we were running. Rook said "this is not what I had in mind" and Ben then retorted "you're always saying we should spar more often" and he then shot his arms out at us which we barely managed to duck under.
Rook then corrected him by adding on what he had fully said "to keep our reflexes sharp" and Ben then held up both his arms and said "right so reflex" and he shot them at us which came dangerously close to hitting both Rook and myself in the face and I said "watch the face" and he just kept smirking. Rook then stated "this is meant to be weaponless combat you are cheating" and Ben then said "one the Omnitrix is not a weapon and two."
He then jumped into the air and before we could think of dodging, he transformed into Humungosaur and pinned us both to the ground with one thumb each. He then finished what he was going to say "the bad guys cheat because they're bad guys but I've got the Omnitrix so I win." Rook then said "and what happens if you do not ever have the Omnitrix or if it fails" and he then timed out.
He then held out a hand and pulled us both us and said "the Omnitrix never fails so I never fail" and Max who was in the control center of the room activated the intercom and said "Rook's got a point Ben" and he replied "oh come on Grandpa you're going to start on me too." Max then said "I'm just saying it wouldn't be a bad idea to do some drills without the Omnitrix just in case."
Ben then said "okay, okay but break first kicking both of your butts made me thirsty come on Rook juice box on me." As we were following him Rook said "a box of juice is that another weird earth expression" and I said "not really I mean there are boxes of juice but I'm pretty sure we don't have any of them on stock here in HQ."
We were standing in a hallway and Ben was kicking some sort of panel that had what looked like a coin slot but I seriously doubted it was a coin slot. He said "the plumbers have the stupidest snack machines on earth" and Rook said "that is not a snack machine." Ben said "why does everything in this base have to be so alien" and Rook repeated "that is not a snack machine" and Ben continued "coin slot, put coin in slot, push button, juice box but no" and he started kicking it again.
Rook started to repeat again "that is not a" but was cut off by an alarm and Ben said "I didn't do it" and Max's voice appeared over the whole bases intercom system and said "parameter breach multiple targets incoming" and we looked into another hallway with most of if not all the plumbers currently on active duty started running past along with max who paused in the doorway and said to us "come on this way we've got trouble."
As we got into the main part of the base the multiple targets were what looked like snakes but made out of machine parts and I used my main takeover form to stay above them and to fire down on them. However they were too quick moving half the time and the other half of the time I couldn't get a clean shot without hitting other plumbers.
Max ordered "concentrate fire watch those tails" and multiple of the plumbers were using blasters on them that were having no affect on the things at all. As Ben was about to get struck by one of the snakes Rook blasted its head apart with the proto-tool and Ben said "what did you do that for" and Rook said "keep your head above" and I landed near him and said "that's heads up."
Ben had just activated the Omnitrix and was about to slam down the core when his arms were grabbed by a brainstorms and he then opened his head and started using electricity on the active core of the Omnitrix. While struggling he said "cut it out you freaky brainstorm guy" and he replied "if you insist" and he took part of the core of the Omnitrix out of it and sealed it inside his brain shell.
He then said "now if you'll excuse me" and while flying toward him as fast as I could I said "you are excused" and at the last possible moment I got my feet out facing him instead of my head and kicked him back which caused him to let go of Ben. Rook was about to attack the brainstorm guy but he flew up on the purple disk he was sitting on and Rook said "the cerebrocrustian is escaping" and Ben said "oh no he's not" and tried to activated the Omnitrix only to be engulfed by a massive green aura with green electricity coming off of him.
As we were running to try to help him the lightning struck both Rook and I in the chest and turned Rook into Upchuck and I looked down at myself and I saw that I had been turned into Lodestar. I would have helped more against the snakes but I had no idea how to use Lodestar even though I'd seen Ben use him at least a dozen times.
The snakes were taking out plumbers left and right and with my advanced hearing which I was surprised wasn't affected when I had been turned into Lodestar, I heard the two Galvans we had on staff pull up to max on a little floating hover cart and one of them said "phased pulse clips" and the other said "much more effective" and Max said "first squad fall back and change ammo second squad give them cover" and the plumbers went about following the orders.
As Rook and I were still trying to help Ben out who had fallen to his hands and knees due to the energy field around him but he said "bad guy get bad guy." As we were went after him while chasing him he escaped through one of the holes that the snake things had made and in the time we were chasing him the two Galvans had managed to deploy a containment chamber around the Omnitrix which stopped the green energy from enveloping Ben and kept it contained to said chamber.
Both Rook and I walked up to Max and Rook said "sorry magister Tennyson the intruder escaped" and I added on "how is Ben." Max said "he's okay plumbers uh" and Rook said "it is me Rook" and I said "and Mira" and one of the Galvans I'm pretty sure his name was Driba said "ew" and the other one Blukic said "that's unfortunate."
Max said "well Rook and Mira Ben is having um" and Ben cut him off "Ben is having a little problem of his own" and Blukic said "oh that's no problem" and Driba said "we'll just reboot the Omnitrix should fix you, Rook, and Mira up in a jiffy." Rook said "are you sure that will work" and Blukic said "mostly sure" and Rook then said "at least things cannot get any worse" and I sighed which sounded weird with the scratchy, metallic sounding voice Lodestar has while Ben groaned and said "are you crazy never say that out loud."
Just as he finished saying that I saw electricity from the Omnitrix strike the floor but started helping clean up under the orders of Max. Max meanwhile was standing over the plumbers at the consoles in the main part of the base and said "primary security grid down get the secondary security grid back up to full power."
After getting all of the metal parts of the snakes into a pile for everyone to put them where they belonged since I still wasn't sure where tech we captured from our enemies went seeing as in terms of how long I've been a plumber I was still relatively new at the layout of the base. I walked up to Ben and he said "guys" talking to Blukic and Driba and I heard their voices come from inside the containment unit.
"Genetic stabilizers check, morphogenic griding check" and Ben said "are you two sure you know what you're doing" and both of them together said "flux webbing" and after a flash of green light I saw that I was still Lodestar and Ben had been transformed into what looked like a fish with legs and he while looking up at the containment unit said "I'm going to call that a no."
They both climbed down and Driba started messing the Omnitrix again and said "that's odd" and Blukic said "odd is what it is alright." Ben said "you think" and Driba said "not that there seems to be a piece missing from the Omnitrix" and I said "yeah the evil brainstorm guy took it." Blukic then said "Dr. Psychobos" and Driba said "here" and Blukic said "could it be" and Driba said "he wouldn't dare."
I said "whoever it was I saw that he took a part out of the Omnitrix" and Ben added on "which I thought you two were fixing." Blukic said "oh my no" and Driba said "we couldn't possibly fix that" Blukic added on "must be some kind of regulator" and Driba added on "no way to tell which one" and Ben with obvious outrage said "so I'm just going to stay this way."
Blukic said "very probably but on the bright side your arms out of the containment cube" and Rook landed on the ground which caused his proto-tool to fall out of the slot on the back of his armor that he usually kept it on. He took a deep breath and then said "perhaps you could contact Azmuth for assistance" and Blukic replied "that we could do" and Driba added on "if the communication system was up" and Blukic said "which it is not."
Rook then said "well at least things cannot get any worse" and then an electical blast broke a hole in the floor of the main part of the base. Ben then said "dude you have got to stop saying that" and out of the hole in the floor came what looked like Shocksquatch in the guy who has a bubble helmet's armor, a red upgrade who looked like that robotic woman we took down on our first adventure with Rook and then a Humungosaur who was making chicken noises occasionally so I figured it was that chicken like alien that we had also defeated on our first mission with Rook.
Rook called out "it is a jailbreak" and Ben said "figured that out all by yourself did ya" and as more of the plumbers were going after the one that got Upgrades powers slammed her fists into the ground and they slithered across the ground and grew up right under them and knocked them back. The one who got Humungosaur's powers and body said "we're getting out of here they can't stop us all."
The one that got Shocksquatch's powers shot them at the plumbers the upgrade women knocked back and they took a few steps back and Ben said "yeah this is getting out of hand we should get in there." I said "I was just thinking the same thing" and Rook had already jumped into fray even thought his attacks were ineffective against them due to him being smaller than he was the last time we faced them.
The one who got Humungosaur's powers towered over us and bawked and said "is that you Tennyson and Strauss I believe you two have some payback coming" and he reared one of his fists back and slammed the ground where Ben had been if he had been standing still but he just barely managed to get out of the way.
Ben as soon as he landed since he had been knocked into the air slightly from the impact of the fists with the floor and he slid a little said "ha too slow" and the Humungosaur grabbed him in both his hands and said "got you little fishy." As he uncovered his catch Ben said "I don't suppose this is one of those catch and release deals" and the Humungosaur said "no now I have you for a snack" and as he was about to eat Ben, I levitated some metal from a rubble pile and slammed it into his head and said "don't you dare."
As Ben got free from the grip he slid along the floor uncontrollably and into Rook which knocked him down and said "you still think it couldn't get any worse." Rook said "I thought you said not to say that" and Ben gasped and said "you made me say it maybe the universe didn't hear" and Rook replied "I really do not think we are talking cause and effect here."
As Ben and Rook were running while I was doing what I could against the Humungosaur with the metal in the rubble piles I heard Rook say "we are beaten I cannot fight like this" and Ben said "of course you can you just have to stop being you so much and start being me" and Rook said "you are not making any sense" and Ben said "stop fighting like Rook you're upchuck be upchuck."
the Humungosaur knocked me back into the pillar in the middle of the room and brought his fists down on where Rook and Ben were heading which they barely managed to dodge his attack. Ben then said "you're upchuck eat something anything" and he dived into a pile of stone rubble and started eating it up as if he hadn't eaten in weeks.
As the Humungosaur pretty much had Ben cornered he said "anytime partner" and Rook then stood up off the rock pile and Ben said "now upchuck it" and he did so and knocked the other two who were with the Humungosaur back down the hole they had crawled out of. The chicken Humungosaur had grabbed Ben and then looked unsure at Rook who had some movement in his stomach.
He the dropped Ben and said "retreat" and jumped down the hole and Rook shot a final explosive vomit in the hole and Ben started walking toward it and Rook jumped down from the top of the rock pile he was standing on and landed in front of Ben and spread his arms out. Ben said "what are you doing we have to go after them."
Driba gasped and said "you can't go down there as a walkatrout" and Blukic said "beyond being down right humiliating it's too dangerous" and Driba finished "you have no special abilities without the Omnitrix." As Rook was looking at him smugly Ben said "you better not say I told you so" and Rook said "I am taking a team down there without you, you are a liability."
Ben tried arguing "those guys would have creamed us just now if it weren't for me" and Rook retorted "we got lucky the only way out is through this room we will hold it until we get the prisoners back in their cells" and Ben said "whatever." Rook and I were gathering the team to go down where they prisoners went holoscreens came up all over the room we were in and said "attention plumbers I am Psyphon imprisoned here against my will by you self-appointed peacekeepers."
Ben said "wow that's Psyphon he's actually kind of cool now" and Max must have said something to him because Psyphon said "tsk, tsk you know we control the lower decks of this base" and Max must have ordered them to return to their cells as Psyphon said "I think not I've connected this bases power core to the null void gate the gate has been set to overload" and Ben said "which mean" realizing what his plan was.
Psyphon even though he didn't need to continued "if the gate overloads Bellwood and everyone in it will be sucked into the null void" and Max must have called him on a bluff and Psyphon replied "one prison is the same as another to us but the poor innocent citizens of Bellwood how will they fare trapped in the null void and what will they think of you plumbers who chose not to save them" and he then started laughing like all evil villains do.
Blukic and Driba had gotten some wires hooked onto a piece of chewed up gum and put it in the center of a hole in the Omnitrix they had opened and the wires connected and after a moment it had turned Ben into a fairy like alien. Rook then came up to us with a whole group of the smaller plumbers and said "the prisoners have sealed off all the maintenance tunnels so we will be using the air vents instead."
Ben said "I'm going" and Rook replied "you are not going" and the reason Blukic and Driba had used gum was now obvious as they put another part in the Omnitrix by sticking it to said gum. After the Omnitrix made a beeping sound he had turned into what looked like a mole with a mustache. Ben said "oh come on what's the point of this guy he's totally useless" and I said "uh Ben you might want to look behind you."
Ben then said "uh no offence dude" and Blukic and Driba put another part in it turned him into what could only be described as a yellow blob." He then put his hands over his face and I'm assuming looked around quickly and said "uh this guy's the worst." As we were going down which I was using my newfound mastery of Lodestars powers to hover my way down the vent which I was surprised that Lodestar actually fit in the vents.
Rook must have gotten in front of Ben because he said "I'm coming" and Rook said "you are not you will get hurt or captured." Ben said "look the Omnitrix turned the prisoners into other aliens my aliens I know all their weaknesses you need me" and Rook must have finally relented because he said "come on" and him, Ben, Blukic, and Driba came sliding down the ropes the threw down.
As they were sliding down Driba said "this is actually quite smart for a non-Galvan" and Ben said "thanks I think the base is just a space station underground the power cores on the bottom level." Blukic then said "we'll shut down the core so the null void gate can't overload" and Ben said "then we can rush the bad guys since they'll have nothing."
We all got in and Rook pushed a grate off and the others got out and I had to slightly bend my body enough to allow my magnetic powers to allow me to propel myself out so I wouldn't get stuck. Rook then said "stations 6 and 9 mark" and Ben said "dude if you're going to keep talking like that I'm out" and we all ran to the consoles around the moving core and after inputting a few commands the lights shut off and the core stopped spinning so I assumed that meant the core was off.
Rook said "we have completed phase one" and just then a circular hole was being carved from flames in the wall behind him and Psyphon's voice said "yes thank you we couldn't have done it without you." As he and his partners in crime stepped through he shot fire in the direction of all the plumbers we had down here and Ben finally realized what his plan was "the secondary security field."
Psyphon said "very good yes you see there is a force field around this base low level actually you wouldn't even notice it. It only serves one function" and Rook finished for him "to stop jailbreaks" and I said "you actually forced our hands into shutting it off with that null void overload stunt." Driba then said "maybe not so smart for a non-Galvan after all" and I said "really not the time Driba" and Psyphon said "and now we will be going."
Ben said "yeah that's not going to happen" and Psyphon said "oh and who's going to stop us you and your little friends." The whole standoff had then turned into a firefight with guns while Psyphon was carelessly shooting fire around. As everyone had been split up three plumbers were firing at the guy who got Shocksquatch's powers and Ben called out "the Shocksquatch guy can't attack if he's insulated."
One of the three firing at him threw a grenade out and instead of exploding it expanded and created a foam around the Shocksquatch guy. Ben started moving forward after calling out to him "that's going to take a while to comb out." He then climbed up onto a console and said "the Mechamorph girl is sensitive to magnetic fields" and I said "this is where I come in" and I focused my magnetic powers on the Mechamorph girl and she was suddenly just able to maintain her form enough to be able to stay standing on her feet.
The Humungosaur grabbed him on the console and threw him into a wall and he was cornered by both the Humungosaur and Psyphon and he said "come on guys can't we talk this over." Psyphon said "you have tormented me for the last time Ben Tennyson" and then Rook had shot on explosive vomit blast at the Humungosaur large enough to send him back a few yards.
Rook then shot another one at Psyphon that just knocked him down and while he was laying down Psyphon then shot another blast of fire in his direction. Blukic and Driba were running toward Ben and got to him and then put another piece in the Omnitrix just before the Humungosaur guy picked all three of them up and then threw Blukic and Driba aside and slammed Ben into a wall.
There was green pulse from the Omnitrix and after it engulfed each and everyone of us affected by it's malfunction previously we were all returned to our normal looks including the prisoners. Ben had then turned back to his normal self and landed in front of the chicken guy who simply said "uh oh" and Ben said "uh oh is right chicken little" and Ben turned into pretty much an exact copy of him.
He then said "Omnitrix is fixed and thanks to you I've got me a new alien" and he then tried to attack Ben only for Ben to catch the punch and then kick him back a little. The chicken guy ran toward him and got a few hits in before Ben kicked him high into the air before kicking him into the powered down grid which for some reason electrocuted him which I was surprised it did since the power to it was off.

As we were supervising the prisoners being put back in their cells or different cells if the ones they were in were unusable due to Psyphon burning them to open them Max said "I don't know how you three did it but you really saved our bacon today." Rook said "I am especially pleased with the team's performance this little group with Ben and I as their leaders they may be the best strike force in plumber history nothing can stop us."
Ben then said "you have seriously got to stop saying stuff like that Rook" and Rook snarked "would you rather I say "nothing can go wrong now or things cannot possibly get any worse." I said "you are really temping fate right now Rook" and we headed out since it had been a long day both Ben and I retired to our room here.
Yet another chapter done in the next chapter we'll be going over the episode of Ben 10: Omniverse titled many happy returns. Before anyone gives me grief about having Mira be turned into Lodestar I didn't decide it I used a wheel with every alien Ben had unlocked at this point in the series and the wheel itself landed on Lodestar.
