Qui Gon and Obi Wan returned to the ship, with both the Hyperdrive and the Power Rangers, The latter of whom helped Panaka and the other pilots to get the parts on the ship.

"Looks like luck is on our side for once." Panaka remarked. "Who are these teenagers?"

"Consider us extra passengers." Said Carlos.

"Obi Wan, you and the others get the ship ready, I'm going back for Anakin." Said Qui Gon.

"Understood Master." Obi Wan Nodded, as Qui Gon mounted his Eopie and rode back to town.

Later,

As he returned, he looked for Anakin, to his surprise, he found the boy in the streets, beating up a Rodian boy, while Wald and Kister, along with several other children watched and howled. They quickly stopped when Qui Gon arrived, some even fleeing.

"Anakin!" Said Qui Gon, as he pulled the boy off the Rodian. "What are you doing?"

"He said I cheated in the race." Said Anakin.

"Did you?"

"No."

Qui Gon turned to the Rodian boy. "Do you still think he cheated?"

"Yes…" The young Rodian squeaked.

Qui Gon paused. "Well Anakin." He said at last. "You'll just have to tolerate his opinion, Fighting will not change it."

Anakin nodded, as Qui Gon led him away to his house.

"You'd better watch out, Greedo." Said Wald. "Or you're gonna come to a bad end one day."

And he dashed off before the older Rodian could say anything.

Meanwhile,

Qui Gon and Anakin returned to his house.

"Mom!" Anakin called out. "I've sold the pod! Take a look at these credits!"

Shmi looked at the credits and gasped. "Oh my goodness, there's so much!"

"And he's now free." Said Qui Gon.

Anakin turned around in surprise. "What?"

"You're no longer a slave." Said Qui Gon.

Shmi said nothing, but Anakin still turned to her.

"Did you hear that?" Asked Anakin.

"Now you can make your dreams come true, Ani." Said Shmi. "You are now free!"

Anakin was overjoyed. "You mean, I get to come with you, and Padme, Obi Wan and the others on your star ship?"

"Is he to become a jedi?" Asked Shmi.

Qui Gon knelt before Anakin. "Being a Jedi is not an easy life, You will be challenged physically and mentally, and it requires a commitment like no other."

"I can do it!" Said Anakin. "Being a Jedi is what I've always dreamed of."

He turned to Shmi. "Can I mom?"

Shmi was silent. "You must follow your own path."

"Now pack your things." Said Qui Gon. "It's time."

"Yipee!" Anakin cheered as he went to his room, but then a thought struck him. "What about Mom, is she free to?"

"I wanted to free your Mother Ani." Said Qui Gon. "But Watto wouldn't allow it."

"But, the money we made from the pod-"

"Isn't nearly enough." Said Shmi.

Anakin was floored.

"My place is here, Son." Shmi sighed, taking Anakin's hands. "You're out there."

"But I don't want to leave you behind." Said Anakin.

"You must." Shmi insisted. "I love you." And she pulled him into a hug. "Now go pack your things."

Anakin ran off to his room. "Obi Wan and I will watch after him, you have my word." Said Qui Gon. "Are you… sure you'll be alright?"
"Yes." Shmi said.

Back in Anakin's room, he packed up his things, with Threepio watching him go. "Good luck Master Anakin." He said. "I wish you well."

"Yeah, Sorry I never finished you." Said Anakin. "You've been a great pal."

"Don't worry about me." Threepio. "I'll take care of your mother for you."

"Yeah, If she or Watto don't sell you first." Said Anakin.

"Sell me?!" Exclaimed Threepio, as Anakin hugged him briefly, before leaving the room. "Bye Threepio."

"Oh dear." Dreaded the unfinished Protocol droid, as he followed after him.

Later.

Soon, Anakin and Qui Gon were leaving the house, behind them, Shmi and Threepio watched them go, Anakin stopped and looked back, running back to his mother for one last hug.

"I can't do it, Mom, I just can't do it!" He cried.

"Ani…" Said Shmi.

"Will I ever see you again?" Anakin asked.

"What does your heart tell you?" Asked Shmi.

"I hope so."

"Then we will see each other again." Said Shmi.

"I will come back and free you, Mom." Said Anakin. "And Kister, and Wald, and all my other friends, I promise."

Shmi smiled and stroked her son's cheek, one last time. "Be brave Ani… and don't look back."

And so, Anakin turned around and walked back to Qui Gon, fighting back the sorrow he was feeling in his heart. Shmi was heartbroken to see him go too, But felt at peace, knowing he was free to live his life.

Meanwhile,

"They claimed their Victory?!" Maul asked.

"Afraid so." Said Aurra, from the other end of the Holo-Image, projected by the droid. "Whatcha want me to do now?"

"You've served your purpose." Said Maul. "I will deal with them myself!"

And the droid shut the Holo-image off, mounted his speeder bike and sped off across the sands.

Meanwhile,

After getting Anakin's slave transmitter neutralized, He and Qui Gon went around saying goodbye to the rest of Anakin's neighbors and friends, Kister, Wald, Amee, Seek and Melee were sad to see him go, And in turn hoped they would be free too, he also visited Jira, just for one last stop.

"Oh I'll miss you Anni." Said Jira. "You're the kindest boy in the Galaxy, take care now."

"I will, bye!" Said Anakin as he went off with Qui Gon.

They soon reached the city outskirts, BUt Qui Gon sensed a presence behind them. He whirled around, took out his lightsaber and struck down the flying object behind them.

"What this heck is that?!" Exclaimed Anakin in surprise.

Qui Gon inspected the remains. "A Probe Droid, but not of any design I've seen before." He looked around cautiously. "We need to move, come on!"

And they quickly bolted their way out of the city.

Meanwhile,

Back on the ship, the Power Rangers and Alpha 6 talked among themselves.

"So what do we do when we get to this "Coruscant?" Asked Cassie.

"We try to get passage to Eltar." Said T.J.

"And maybe get me home?" Asked Justin. "My dad's going to be worried sick."

"And what about that blue beam that brought us here?" Asked Carlos.

"Hmm, we could ask Qui Gon about it." Said Alpha 6. "But I doubt he'd have a good idea."

"He should be back with Anakin soon." Said T.J. "We'll ask him then."

Meanwhile,

Qui Gon and Anakin made their way Across the desert and soon arrived at the ship.

"Qui Gon, wait!" Anakin panted. "Why the rush?!"

"Anakin! Drop!" Shouted Qui Gon.

Anakin looked back and threw himself to the ground as the speeder bike passed over him.

The Cloaked figure jumped off and ignited a Lightsaber with a crimson red blade and immediately clashed with Qui Gons.

"Go!" He called out, as he parried the assailants' blows. "Tell them to take off!"

Anakin ran off towards the ship, from witch Jar Jar looked out to see.

"Anni?" Asked Jar Jar, before he noticed Qui Gon and the figure fighting. "Oh No! Quick Anni, inside!"

And Anakin rushed up the ramp and followed Jar Jar, getting the others' attention.

"Qui Gon's being attacked!" Said Anakin.

Meanwhile,

Qui Gon and the attacker danced around, stabbing, swiping and blocking each other's blades as the Sand swirled around them.

Meanwhile,

Anakin, Obi Wan, Padme, T.J., Ashley, Panaka and Jar Jar quickly entered the ship's cockpit.

"Qui Gon's in trouble!" Said Panaka. "We have to take off!"

Ric Ollie took to the controls immediately, With Obi Wan sitting beside him. "Over there, fly low." He said pointing."

Meanwhile,

The ship took off, its ramp still open, Qui Gon was still holding off his attacker, but was growing tired. When he saw the ship taking off, he jumped high enough to reach the ramp, and with Cassie, Carlos and Jeustins help, retreated inside before It took off.

And so the ship left Tatooine, and Darth Maul behind, with the Sith Warrior himself seething as he deactivated his Lightsaber.

Meanwhile,

Qui Gon scrambled on board, with Alpha 6, Carlos, Cassie, Justin and R2 bearing witness, while Ashley, T.J., Obi Wan and Anakin quickly came down to the deck.

"Are you alright?" Asked Ashley.

"I think so." Said Qui Gon, catching his breath.

"Who was that guy?" Asked Carlos.

"What was he?" Obi Wan asked, as if correcting Carlos question.

"I… I don't know." Said Qui Gon. "But they were well trained in the Jedi Arts, my guess is, he was after the Queen."

"Did you get a good look at him?" Asked Justin.

"He seemed to be a… Zabrack of some form." Said Qui Gon. "With Black and Red lines."

"Like his Lightsaber?" Asked Cassie.

Qui Gon and Obi Wan shared a look, they both didn't want to acknowledge that, but it was evident what that being truly was.
