Stargate Atlantis Trading Grounds I: The Return To La Rochelle
Warnings: This story is going to match the dialog, in the flashback memories, of chapter 4, of the past meets the present series. As it also follows the complete mental breakdowns, of the human half of the team. And Robert Makepeace and Adam Johnson, so the story is going to follow the dialog to the letter exactly. Along with some new dialog that was not in the fast forwarded portion in the flashbacks.
With this chapter it's jumping over the mission to Ernest's research station, before returning to earth now, and ending up back on the base now. Said now looking exactly like the Enterprise D, in every way, shape or form. And just without the technical problems, as the tunneling between their base and White Rock Research Station. There is a set of jeffries tubes going horizontally that way, rather then vertically.
Basing this in real time, rather then the show, of 25 years ago, Antarctica was a neutral zone for research so military research was not allowed out there. And with it, as the chair is considered military technology, it was meant to be last resort. In case of another orbital attack, so the outpost is now trade and exploration. So with this chapter, is the colony/crew is now getting used to being a slightly underwater crew.
As he's getting to work in trading to bring in more improvement for the planet at large now, so a military attack. Just to bring him back to the states, is attempted, is an international. In incidents and enough to get them convicted for kidnapping now, with his clearance. So from here, is he's dropping in on Ry'ac and Drey'auc and before the press conference. And just before his first stop in planets is to Gaea, home of the Nox.
This chapter will finish off this portion of the story-line, as the next two chapters and forward, cover chapter 2, going by the name. And of The Glory Of Tantulus, which covers things, from his going to the races and Tok'ra creation of the treaty. And his return to Shyla, before the following Chapters cover the the breakdowns of the trio and Carter, who's lost her ability to function mentally, out of desperation now.
As the mission was sanctioned, and he was transferred to Landry and the Atlantis team at the time. As Rodney McKay, Cam Mitchell, Vala Mal Doran, Hank Landry, Frank Simmons, Steven Caldwell, John Shepard. And Elizabeth Weir enter the picture here, the story will have Daniel and Teal'C joining their team. As the SGA is founded 5 years early, and moved into the outpost on earth….

Chapter 75: New Futures And Fresh Starts VIII: Time's Arrow and Recovery I
"Yeah that works, mixing the two could result in exactly as they're trying make it seem, dump one and drink the other." Walker said and Henderson smiled at that fast thinking. "I'm sure there are some very stoned rats in the sewers right now." Lou said and Barnes started laughing at that. "Young man that wasn't not necessary right now." Jordan said with a chuckle, as he walked to his desk and turning on the computer, as he activated the face time between them.
As Henderson appeared on the monitor then. "Hey Danny, what's going on exactly here." he asked and he smiled. "Just considered retirement right now, if there's an opening." he said and they smiled. "Yeah that's the best news we could ever hear right now, you wanting to come home, but first you had to get Sarah, and bring her in. Along with Adam and the team now, so they're safe and sound, as are the trio." Barnes said smiling and Henderson nodded.
"Yeah there is, we have 10 true, but having you back, that's perfect right now, Jake said these guys all lost their minds during Hathor right now. But the reveal is enough to get them completely in trouble now." he said and Daniel nodded then. "Uncle Brandon, my job with the SGC just came to an end, they murdered the sole cause I joined. And by taking too long here right now, and couldn't care less, but you remember here."
"About Mac's title lesson in anthropology right now?" he asked and he nodded, as Coyote crossed his arms. "They did exactly as we said never to do, and drank the marriage elixir now here." he said and they nodded sternly."So to them if the words are never said that doesn't count, yeah a bunch of ignorant grunts, your job is an art. For those of us that take the job seriously, good news, Jim's been transferred to my department."
"So your reassignment, in the archeology/anthropology department is under him now, but having you back, 4 years is really too much, too long son. We all miss you here, time to come home now, kiddo." he said and he smiled at him then gently. "I been reassigned to Hank Landry, so could you come in the morning, to come get me. I've gained medical technology from last year's mission should be enough to set them up."
"Because it's the serum, the chromosome enhancer that they're about to use in the next edition to the Doom games."he said and he nodded. "Yeah David and I are coming to get you, but it doesn't matter what they say, same rank maybe. But we're your parents, and what we say goes, I'm going to look into the side effects. And of that pheromone, if it's what I think they're trying to break you, but it could be, in truth."
"Erotomania, and if that's the case we have to get you out of there permanently, it doesn't matter what they say or how much they argue. You're not coming back to the SGC ever again, it could be permanent, though it is. They just undid the progress I put into healing you from Powell now, but frankly you're looking far too thin baby." he said and Daniel nodded. "They all snapped mentally." he said and he nodded sternly then.
"Got it, and they argue all they want, nothing changes anything, so I'll see you in the morning son." he said and he nodded. "You too Uncle Brandon, Uncle Dave, see you tomorrow." he said and they nodded and Henderson nodded. "Hence the attempted murder looking like a suicide now, they were trying to keep you at the SGC. By claiming you tried to kill yourself, only how can we believe that, when you drank the serum." he said sternly to that.
'Yeah thought so, they tapped it, only 27 hours and I'm free of this rathole, alright here. My undercover operation just ended and my family are forcefully yanking me out of this now.' they heard sternly to this in relief. "There are three versions of my voice, and two are virologists, the third is a psychiatrist specializing in fear and performance. And is trained in the rigors, of life in deepsea diving, inside a habitat." Henderson said smiling sternly to this.
As he walked back into the apartment then, and sat down over his notes, in the privacy of his apartment. "Again, you guys really are an idiot right now, we knew you were likely to tap the line, after your interrogating him just two weeks prior on why he's leaving now. Just so you can keep him from leaving now." Levy said as Jack started shaking in fear, as he watch him as he got everything that he needed to prove his ex best friend at the time, his marine counterpart.
And everyone they duped into believing he was the traitor set up, as he put a tape deck into the radio. "This must have been he decided to drop the act in the psychiatric undercover, and was ready to retire." Barnes said to this then. 'If this doesn't do it, nothing ever does, because I'm getting Sarah, the guys. And my family, and we're getting the hell off the continent.' they heard sternly, as he activated the radio, and spoke into it, as he hid a sigh.
"August 21, 1999: Well I just told them the truth, I'm considering hunting down the baby, get to him, before the renegades do. But knowing they'd never let me leave, I got the gear prepped and ready, so they take the bait. And assault me at my own apartment, Jack just sealed his fate, because he made a fatal mistake 6 months ago. During our incarceration, as it just says it all, the effects are now permanent then."
"And their training as MIS interrogators is permanently stuck in the on position, that I want to get out here, because I can't keep this up much longer. So one more stunt, they sealed their fates and I'm out of here, I'm playing the part of a secret agent. But my time is over, and my retirement is on the horizon, but knowing they'd never. Now, leave me alone, it's vacating the continental US altogether and getting the heck."
"Now out of dodge, and taking my friends and family with me, I'm going back to Sarah, going home and we leave the states. But knowing they're chasing me all over the place, from one country to the next, one planet to the next. Via Maybourne's retrieval team now, it's putting us and the others, inside a heavily fortified fortress. As my inner cub wants the cage, it needs the cage, so there is only one option here."
"Said I have return to the Navy and back to my team, childhood team, under Uncle Brandon, I been waiting for this reposting. And for 18 months, if the base is fully fortified now, it's time to take the reassignment. The SGC, that no longer exists, the duo as I once knew them, no longer exist, in fact they never existed. They're MIS, and therefore my enemies, the SGC is a forefront for NID." he said into it and nodded sternly.
As he hid that tape deck, inside the pillow case, he kept the others, as he remembered the last one he made, just 2 weeks prior, after the funeral. 'You people never know when to stop do you, if Mckenzie knows about your infliction. This means like you, he needs to make sure you never get captured by Shyla's courts now. Well sorry gentlemen, you did this to yourselves, you be the ones to change yourselves back.'They heard sternly to this
And played back the tape deck. "August 07, 1999: it's been 4 months since Machello's aftermath. And I just recovered, but once again, they're still convinced, I'm not sure. If I should keep this up or just pull the plug, because they're getting worse right now. Well anymore stunts, and they blow their get out of jail free card." he heard his voice say, as he sat there, seeing his paper work, on the destinations, to where Kheb was then.
When in the Ancient database. "This should help right now with a fast study in theology." he said to himself smiling softly, as he unscrewed the bottle with a red cap, with the flag symbol for France on it, as he unscrewed the cap and smiled then. 'Thank god I brought that with me out here, thank you Shyla for the help right now, I know this is not the serum or the elixir.' he thought with a stern smile, as he saw the message, and knowing then now.
As he read the message.'Dear my love, we figured if they, the red soldiers, try anything else, this should help, this, like the serum and the elixir, is created with the sarcophagus. Healing any fatal injuries, but if you have a media game like this, then there's your explanation, it effects the genomes, turning you into a stronger version of Jaffa. Only you're human, but stronger, faster, smarter, your cells divide 75x's faster.
Then normal, so you can heal almost immediately, it also erases any marks now. That are making it look like you tried to hurt your self, and replaces it with the evidence. That shows someone assaulted you, just come back to me soon, it's time, if you found her, we stay friends, but if you lost her again, we have a chance to start over. "Thanks Shyla, I appreciate this, and I miss you Sire.'They heard gently in her doubles voice then his, hearing her soft voice and looking forward to seeing her again finally then. "Thanks beautiful, I can use this tonight, if they try it now."he said smiling gently then, as he unscrewed the bottle and took a whiff. "Issues here when you're taking a drug meant to prevent you from being killed, it's like that invulnerability sphere." Walker said, smiling to this.
"Well your personality matches Mace exactly after we met him now, on the movie." Daniel said smiling and he nodded. "Yeah you and me we're close friends, but I'm your mentor, but purple matches my internal fire now, but me helping you. In channeling your anger into the blade, Liam being the guidance you need, you're Obi-wan in every sense of the word now. But if the idiot would only follow the regs here, he could get that promotion." he said and Jack flinched at that.
"To re-translate that, if he would only follow the code, he could be on the council, they will not go along with him this time." Nathan Finnegan said and Finnegan nodded in stern agreement. "Agreed, and son, you don't have to start sound like Ewan after they just did this movie right now." he said and the pre academy started laughing. "Hey you're my mentor dad, Eric is training Daniel." he said to that and they smiled gently and he nodded, smiling gently at the remark.
"Alright guys, we're not doing this right now, as for training, we're the oldest, but Jake's just starting." Walker said and they nodded then. "Who's grandmaster here in our version, we have 15,000 muggleborns running loose on this ship?" Daniel said to him gently then and Finnegan smiled. "In reading my pamphlet Yoda appointed me to being the Grandmaster, Eric and I are sharing the leadership of our grouping and we, you and Nathan are creating the council."
"But we're Jedi, just don't over do the elemental powers, or you're going to end up with quite the headache here now." he said and Daniel nodded. "Yeah that and trying to prevent the fire from reaching the tanks, that could knock you unconscious, man." Alexander said and he nodded. "Trust me that's not the first head injury I had, but this is no where near as dangerous, as going into the Cartouche." he said and they nodded, as Renfro squeezed his shoulder then.
"Yeah that's really good right now, well time to finish the research here, so Kheb, yeah I know I have to find him. But first, I have to keep my promise, well time for a TNG marathon tonight." they heard gently to this then and as as he poured himself a second glass, and watched season 3, as he dozed off and fall asleep. In watching tv, before hearing a noise, and waking up at hearing something, a noise in the room, and realizing someone then.
Had unlocked his apartment door, his eyes snapped open and looked around the room and before his eyes landed. And on Colonel Harold Maybourne. But before he could scream for help, they covered his mouth. Before dragging him into the bathroom. And cutting his wrists, turning the water on high, before leaving the bathroom at that. Waiting till they were gone, he switched off the water, as he cleaned off his wrists, and smiled as they saw no trace of a knife, scalpel.
Or razor blade there. 'Whoa, that's some fast acting healing serum, this is amazing right now, okay now where's the assault scars exactly.'They heard in amazement then, as he removed his soaked shirt, and then saw his stomach, with a very fresh line. And 3 times, to different spots to his stomach then. 'Okay, I have 30 minutes, before the anemia starts kicking in right now, so make this believable, I'm SGA, not SGC, SGA are scientists."
'We can simulate it, in a forensics attempted murder scene, so here we go, the SGA is civil services, once the cops find this, and they're going to lose it here. This is illegal and the SGA has more power then the NID, who else besides Maybourne attacked me exactly here?' They heard sternly to this, and Henderson crossed his arms then, knowing once the manager saw him, he was calling the cops, as he went to the front door firmly at that
And they saw a key in the lock the, before he saw, on closer inspection the very tiny initials J.O. then and on it and nodded then. "Uncle Brandon, there's your direct opinion, this is not even a passive attempt at suicide now. I'm not even close to that, and our conversation, there's an opening now. Just how stupid do they think you and Dave are exactly here, as if someone really wanted to kill themselves, they'd get a gun.'
"And shoot themselves, or jump off a bridge or the balcony, they're not sitting here watching tv, contemplating retirement. Preparing to transfer sectors right now, under the other psychiatric uncle right now.' they heard and Henderson nodded in agreement to that. "Like he said, people that really wanted to kill themselves, would get a gun and shoot themselves, or jump off a balcony or bridge, not be watching tv." he said and the brass nodded.
"And why would a mental patient call up the other psychiatric uncle before they do it exactly as well, we just saw each other 5 months prior and I brought you home." he said and Jack went pale, realizing, finally, this didn't even sound like him then. "Well we know who is trying to set you up, it had to be the baby, and you rigged the proceedings. But there's the you we all know, and love right now right now even not thinking straight, you can think circles around them."
"But then why not, they're good true, but you're better, look how well your strategy has done for the kids, they love your training program." Sarah said, smiling sternly then and he looked down smiling at that and Levy chuckled at that response then. "But yeah right now, 2.5 million of us, all see it as your way got and gets better results, then their's do right now. We had never felt stronger, better or more alive here then we do now." Lou said smiling, crossing his arms then.
"Yeah he's finished here, this was illegal." Walker said to that sternly then. "My telling you that I decided on retirement, and going after the baby. And you're desperate to prevent that and do this?" he said, knowing this provided the perfect excuse to have them locked away for life now and as he got on the phone. "Dead man walking here, you are so dead right, we all know he chose not to give up here." Jason said and Jack swallowed hard at that.
"Dad, listen to me carefully here, but last week after Linea, I decided on sabbatical here, in going after the baby, well that made the duo desperate enough. To try attempted murder, yeah they crossed it, I got a positive, Maybourne was here. And his accomplice, though wearing a ski mask, he left evidence lying around, it's Jack." he said and nodded. "Well that's plenty of incriminating evidence." Henderson said to this sternly.
"No kidding that's plenty right now." Finnegan said, in total disgust at what Sam was caught up in. "No I'm calling the cops, we're taking them by surprise, and arm all the cops with intars, to prevent an escape. Yeah SGA arrest, Sanderson is level black, I out rank them in clearance, so we're going red alert. And placing them under arrest, get Lou, Jared, Dave and Annie up here."he said and nodded then as he answered him then.
"Yeah I'll meet you at the academy hospital, as Mckenzie is waiting for me to come to the base, to claim. I'm under suicide watch and off the team, well too late, I quit already. So we just jumped their move and went right for the throat here, yeah exactly, and here's why. The serum I mentioned last year, it works, just a few bumps a bruises, but it heals all damage, but I'm going to be laid up for a few months."
"From blood loss, yeah see you soon." he said to him gently and hung up the phone then. "Oh you screwed up this time Colonel, you left evidence here, to identify you." he said sternly, as he charged back into the bathroom, and saw a switchblade on the floor then. As, picking it up, after putting gloves on, he saw J.O. on the handle and he nodded sternly then. 'That's it, so crazy enough to commit murder, did you forget already, Darryl and Rob.'
'They're playing what as the men that look just like them!' they heard in shocked fury. "Yeah they're so screwed here, as I said, people who really wanted to kill themselves would get a gun and shoot themselves. Or go over a bridge or the balcony, not be watching tv waiting for the over dose to kick in." Henderson said sternly and Jack swallowed hard at that remark in fear. "Yeah alright, so attempted, okay, we do this my way, and my blood is over the floor."
"In there, but there is no trace of suicide scars, and to quote Dustin, if someone really wanted to commit suicide, they'd take a gun and shoot themselves. Or jump off the bridge, they're not sitting here watching tv and doing research. And before calling their family, or they been assaulted to the point or murder. So yeah you are so screwed right now." he said and Henderson smiled at his remark as he went to work at that.
Going to the medical locker that he had, that his godfather, Matheson had given him and started removing medical supplies quickly. And started dumping the blood all over the floor, as he stabbed his shirt 3 times then. Directly over his stomach, before pouring the blood on his stomach, as he poured it all over the floor. And of the bathroom before leaving a trail to the phone on the coffee table, to make it look real. "Nice touch." Parker said smiling at his idea.
As the quartet arrived, took one look at the apartment and at him and nodded in shock. "Danny!" Ferretti snapped as he charged to him and he shook his head. "Jack and Maybourne attacked me, even with the face covered, he left evidence. The key belongs to him, as does the switchblade, General, my remark on going to find him. The baby alone, though Teal'C is with me, is case level of, 'if we can't have him, no one can.'."
"Jack lost his mind, despite repeated chances….." he said and Lou nodded. "Despite repeated chances they never dropped it, well we have enough to put them. Now, behind bars for life now, going to be okay buddy, you guys are transferring either way. The guys are going to agree with me when I say this, but it's too dangerous for you to stay." Ferretti said and Lou nodded, as the trio came running in then, as they looked at them.
"Daniel!" Warren shouted in shock then and praying they made it as they checked him over then, as they saw the tears. And to his clothing, as he was feeling his original blood loss kicking in then, as he said it weakly then. "Yeah there's blood all over all over the room, and the bathroom, you're lucky to be alive. And what about the damn carpet, they ever stop to think of how dense blood really is here now." Haden's team doctor said sternly to this then in shock.
"Agreed, and aside from that, is the president wanted us to find that baby 1) and 2) get to work on the project. That project is finding the long range communication device, and destroy the comlink between our galaxies. But honestly gentlemen, young lady, does this action and others say good person here right now. Or just crazy to the point of being dangerously unstable and needs to be confined here indefinitely now." Rosen said in shocked fury and he nodded gently.
As they watched as they stripped his shirt off to get a look. "The remark of, 'If we can't have him, well then no one can!', just landed on the doorstep. There's no coming back from this, you gave them chance after chance to drop it. Even in death, they're still keeping it up, well the evidence is pretty damning, at the moment. The test results just came back from the lab, they're permanent, the sarcophagus." Anna said to this sternly then.
"Who did this exactly?" Warren added and he explained it. "It was Maybourne, they had a key to my apartment guys, they beat the crap out of me, and slit my wrists. It's their next attempt after Machello, only they really crossed the line here." he said and they nodded and in fury then. "That's not real cider, is it?" Ferretti said, pointing at the glass on the coffee table and he nodded."No, it's the serum, it works." he said and they nodded then.
And in relief, as he looked him over. "Instead of the vein, they struck the arteries, there's blood all over the walls in the bathroom." Parker said and Ferretti nodded sternly to the news. "And only his drinking that serum saved his life, there is no saving him here." he said and Jack swallowed hard. "Key to the apartment, the only ones besides the trio that do are me, the General and the trio, not Teal'C, but Frasier and…, does this now."
"In anyway have to do with you deciding to find that baby, the motive is both this, and you're going under Henderson?" Lou asked and Daniel nodded."Brandon said there's an opening, and MacGregor's son is out there, I been reassigned." he said and Lou nodded in fury. "Then we're coming with you, god man you really crossed the line here, as anyone that really wanted to kill themselves, would get a gun and shoot themselves."
"Or jump off the balcony or bridge, not be sitting here watching tv, waiting for the Nembutal overdose to kick in, and calling the other psychiatric uncle, before he did it!" Warren said sternly and Barnes nodded in agreement. "And that just says it all, not passive attempt at suicide or even a real attempt, it's an attempted murder. Meant to look like a suicide here." Warren said sternly and Hammond nodded in stern agreement to his opinion then firmly.
As they saw him watching episode 11 of TNG and Patrick smiled then. "Why doesn't that surprise us, like the man playing Roga, you knew all the tricks to point us at them, not you." his friend said, as he started laughing at that and Daniel nodded. "That's your blood type, right, these blood bag units, they're your blood type?" Lou said quickly to him at this and he nodded, with a weak look gently then, knowing their fathers were going to kill the trio for this.
"The pillow case, my undercover work just ended." he said and she unzipped it, and they saw 45 little tapes and Jordan nodded in shock. "Like you, I knew you're working for Carson for 4 years, that's why I threw the bag at you. Get you out of range, before Ra showed up and killed Reilly and Porro now. Before we lost Dave and Rick next, but this, this is too much right now, you're lucky to be alive, man." he said and he nodded.
"Stage acting, but that's not alcohol, it's the elixir, the invulnerability serum, that Pyrus told me about, it worked." he said and they nodded. "In trying to set you up for attempted suicide, this stuff, the serum, just set them up for attempted murder. Take your shirt off son, I need to get a better look." Ferretti said and he stripped his shirt off and he saw three stab wounds in three different places on his stomach and he nodded sternly then.
"I need to check your lower back, baby." he added and Daniel nodded, as he started on his jeans, before seeing the buckle undone and went pale in fear. "Easy, easy baby, as there's no indication here they did it a second time, you're okay, you're okay, baby." Ferretti said gently and he buried his head into his shoulder and he hugged him tightly and Henderson nodded sternly. "Shh, it's okay, you're safe now." he said softly, rocking him gently then.
"Attempted murder and gang rape, uh huh, yeah and that is a good reason to call the cops, as in crazed jealousy to the point of murder. And gets arrested and charged here, well there is no way in hell they're getting that counter charge in attempted. Because does this say attempted suicide, when we find his belt undone, or blood all over the bathroom. and living room walls and carpet, or just attempted murder and gang rape." Henderson said and they swallowed hard.
"If you never drank that serum, you'd be dead right now, you're lucky to be alive, but we have a blip in the system, I intend to incarcerate." he said and Jack went white in fear at that, realizing they gave him chance after chance to drop it. And instead they attacked him and got caught in the attempt, he only intended to set him up for suicide. And instead the serum made it look like he and Maybourne tried to kill him and he knew he was finished at that news.
"So you're pretending to be a good man, all the while you're persecuting him out of jealousy, it's not his fault you chose the most dangerous job in the military. But you crossed the line here, you little brats all we see is you're trying to finish what Hathor told you to do. And by any means necessary right now and now we get two more, at the moment." he said sternly to this and they started shaking in fear, realizing they were completely screwed at that remark, then finally
"Baby, your job in being an undercover agent is officially over as of now, you're in no condition to keep this up anymore." Ferretti said to him then. "So you're 3/4's there already, this stuff turns you into a super soldier?" Parker said and he nodded gently then to him. "We did molecular genetics already Dave, well we're the soldier that took in the serum, that wiped out 1/2 the base and its creators, but if it works on us, all of us."
"Then what is this going to do to guys like Jack and Makepeace." he asked and they all paled, realizing they tried taking it, they would all become demons. "You get the point there, is everything you been, regarding me, say good person, Armin." he said and they started shaking in fear, realizing they were completely screwed then at the remark. "And with that, you're going to jail, the program has its own JAG team, people." Sanderson said and they went white in fear.
"The old records are destroyed in the second you bastards from outside the Stargate program get chosen for it. And now we have everything we need to have you charged with accessories to rape, real rape. Attempted murder, on 10 counts, and espionage and treason, but attack a man, or woman. In the SGA, you're finished and Armin Selig now, he was SGA journalist, so you're finished here people." Henderson said and they broke out in sweat in fear at his remark then.
And they all looked at the bottle, and nodded, as they took a glass and drank it then quickly. "I don't feel any different, in fact I feel really good, it's like it just energized my body. Yeah you really got something here." Lou said smiling and Anna smiled. "Point taken, we never took a life, unless we had no choice, we're the narrator's friends. The wise guy, his best friend, the kid, Annie is his sister." Warren said and he nodded in relief then.
"Better try this with Graham, Siler, Walter and anyone else that sided with you, it works here now, in turning them like us, we know the catch of the soul. Just slammed into place, those knuckleheads, are the lunatic marine, their commander, the technician. And the psychotic undergoing human testing if they make a movie out of it." Anna said and he nodded in agreement as they heard the incoming remark then gently.
"Jesus, what the hell happened in here exactly, Jerry, you better see this right now." Davenport's double shouted out and he came charging up.
