Stargate Atlantis Trading Grounds I: The Return To La Rochelle

In the cast, and with it, Nick Ballard makes an appearance, as he sees after 25 years. Daniel found his way back to the command side of the grouping that were trying to over turn his decision then. After Daniel's parents were killed in the accident here now, so from here it changes now.
But if anyone noticed here in the continued references to the movie script of Sphere, the story is going to follow some of it, but changes in other areas. And this story on Sphere, is going to be book 3 of the 6 part series I'm creating. Basing it from now, to end of Season 5, and instead of dead, Daniel's going to be training to be a Q. And like season 6 showed, only 3 of the 22 episodes, has him with the trio, the others.
He's there at the SGA, Daniel's clone, turned twin brother ascended and Daniel is at the SGA, making his powers stronger. As the last episode unlocked his potential completely, though by doing that, everything that came with it. Starts coming out in visions, till they reach my other story, of the Past and Present series. Till the final shot results now here in the 5 years he spent, on board the enterprise, there in Antarctica.
With this series, there's going to be a severe amount of backlash brought on by the traumas of Hathor and Machello. But the connector is going to be Need and Shyla's kingdom, so for Sam and Jack. The events of Hathor and Shyla have stuck, leaving them facing a backlash that has Daniel. And Teal'C, on one side of the line, them on the other, in basing this solely on the book series on the movie, directly after it.
The events are altered to it being civilian ran with military help and the SGA is just that, as Jack and Makepeace get the entirety of the consequences. That resulted in Daniel becoming a pariah now in that book series, only now it's reversed here. So everything negative on Daniel is Jack now, in the SGA and everything Jack is Daniel. In the SGC ops, but it's because of the permanent effects of Hathor's pheromones.
This story and it's followers are going to match the dialog, in the flashback memories, of chapter 4, of the past meets the present series. As it also follows the complete mental breakdowns, of the human half of the team. And Robert Makepeace and Adam Johnson, so the story is going to follow the dialog to the letter exactly. Along with some new dialog that was not in the fast forwarded portion in the flashbacks.
Basing this in real time, rather then the show, of 25 years ago, Antarctica was a neutral zone for research so military research was not allowed out there. And with it, as the chair is considered military technology, it was meant to be last resort. In case of another orbital attack, so the outpost is now trade and exploration. So with this chapter, is the colony/crew is now getting used to being a slightly underwater crew.
As he's getting to work in trading to bring in more improvement for the planet at large now, so a military attack. Just to bring him back to the states, is attempted, is an international. In incidents and enough to get them convicted for kidnapping now, with his clearance. So from here, is he's dropping in on Ry'ac and Drey'auc and before the press conference. And just before his first stop in planets is to Gaea, home of the Nox.
This chapter will finish off this portion of the story-line, as the next two chapters and forward, cover chapter 2, going by the name. And of The Glory Of Tantulus, which covers things, from his going to the races and Tok'ra creation of the treaty. And his return to Shyla, before the following Chapters cover the the breakdowns of the trio and Carter, who's lost her ability to function mentally, out of desperation now.
As the mission was sanctioned, and he was transferred to Landry and the Atlantis team at the time. As Rodney McKay, Cam Mitchell, Vala Mal Doran, Hank Landry, Frank Simmons, Steven Caldwell, John Shepard. And Elizabeth Weir enter the picture here, the story will have Daniel and Teal'C joining their team. As the SGA is founded 5 years early, and moved into the outpost on earth….

Chapter 77: New Futures And Fresh Starts VIII: Time's Arrow and Recovery III

"My time here is over dad, in addition to my spending time with her, he's dying, he deserves his last weeks of happiness with having me there. After everything they had done for me, in 8 months, the least I can do is be there for a dying man. Just like I would you, if you were on your death bed, she needs me there. I promised to return, complete the trade, and open negotiations with the others." he said and he nodded.
"Yeah that's more than noble son, helping her cope emotionally, after everything they had done for you, by nursing you back to health. The least you can do is pay your respects to her father and be there for him in last weeks. Sanderson is a 5 star psychiatric general, he gave orders, I will carry them out. So what's the second paper exactly, if the first is in layman's term's of medical care." he said and she swallowed hard.
"It's also my resignation, dad, Sanderson reassigned me, they're, after going back into La Rochelle at the moment to finish my recovery right now. Are sending me to the quintet, to make trade, the duo's snatchers, Lord Andre and Madam Nichole. The big find off of the sextet of drugs I brought with me, are enough they're looking. And for more and the food plant growth enzyme is worth octillions on the open market here."
"The drugs altogether create a life span, of double normal human, the drugs, they are created with a sarcophagus in mind, as we're too young to actually harness that effect, the medical department went to the next best thing, go to the person, that did it before. Pyrus himself, I promised to return and I'm keeping that promise." Daniel said and Hammond nodded smiling gently then and they heard Jack's panicked tone then.
"Oh, please." he said and Henderson crossed his arms, and Daniel went further. "General, I respectfully request permission to go through the gate to P3R-636. There's a side effect to the arrest serum, I don't make it back, before the timer gives out. Someone's going to get hurt here right now, it's like throwing a wolf amongst the sheep. A slaughter waiting to happen, so please." he said and Hammond nodded gently then.
"Request denied!" Jack snapped and Daniel immediately snapped off at him then. "Shut up, I wasn't asking you, I've been reassigned, only the general has the right. To make the decision to let me leave, why are you so desperate to keep me here exactly. As I said, I could send you home, and continue with the trade deal." he said and they both went white, and Hammond crossed his arms, and he stopped it on that and Henderson nodded.
"With me on medical stand down, though I'm now leader of the team at the current moment, I highly recommend you call in Carson at the moment. I also suggest intensive therapy by use of the chairs we brought back. He has to face the memories right now, because if he doesn't relive that mission now. He's going to relive it as repression stress and he's going to snap in combat now."
"I'm saying this for Warner and for Carson right now, but he's relieved of duty as of now and he's had a flashback. He needs therapy and he's needed to be deactivated, in truth, he was reactivated without a psyche evaluation two years ago. And though Mcknezie says he's fine the evidence contradicts that, and it's because he's lost his mind out of a flashback to that mission in Iraq."
"But his remark to me after I told him my orders showed a severe disregard for orders, said orders you and the seven gave. So he wanted me to contradict orders and deliberately break them, now, and though I had orders. Directly from you, and he wanted me to disobey your direct orders now, General. But I said what Sam and I were both thinking to him at the time in the mines."
"Exact words being, 'No you look, I've got everything under control, god you never show me any respect, now I'm handling it, all you have to do is hang in there.'. Hear the emphasis, by the me, I meant 'we', as we had this conversation already over your bonds to Sam and her family. Well I risked my life, soul and sanity to protect her from the man that did this to me right now."
"But those 9 to 10 times are the reason the test results say I'm been run through the damn thing 30 times here. But I did my job, and I ended up getting arrested, which was why it was taking so long right now. But the man that said that to her, in my voice, is the man that arrested us. And bound me to him, but we have only 5 days to break the connection or the change is permanent."
"Five days, I have five days, but my only chance is if we wait out the clock and then once the timer on the serum they used on me is done. Have Warner do the surgery or call my priest here and I mean immediately. Because this is not just any normal POW, or addiction right now. The bastard that did this created a chemical version to a demonic possession, and I need my priest and fast."
"You have to believe me, Sir, but it's not what you think, they, him and the NID, West, and whoever's with them, even Makepeace possibly. They set me up to get rid of me, I'm being honest with you right now, but this was a trap to get rid of me here now." he said and Hammond crossed his arms as Sam sighed as she remembered that conversation as she said it to him then as Hammond nodded.
"I said under no circumstances to rock that boat, your first concern is the safety of the civilians. And if it means the safety of others, then the team could wait a couple weeks. But your first concern was the safety of others now, so don't do anything, and I mean anything. That could put others at risk right now, but do your research, but be careful and I'll get Warner ready now for you."
"So you can recover from what the side effects did, that is if there's no further damage done and if there is then the person responsible for how you ended up in that situation. Said person, or people, is in deep trouble and are going to be court martialed for breaking orders. But don't do anything that could shake up that hornet's nest, alright son what's wrong if you're this furious."
"As your tone doesn't sound like someone who's addicted to alien technology, but more along the lines of a POW. And you're ready to have him turned in for accessory to both and something far more serious, so tell me now." he said and Daniel sighed in relief. "You're relieved I figured it out that fast, you wanted me to figure it out, and when I did you'd tell me. " He said to him gently at that response then.
"I take it this is something he knows I'm going to kill him for when I hear this right now son?"Hammond added interjecting into the conversation as he said it gently at that remark. As he relaxed and looked at him gently as she relaxed in relief at that. "Nice timing in switching subjects as his pulse was racing at that, and the longer this went on and he was going to collapse and long before he can get the words out."
"But that explanation is enough to get Jack arrested right now as a result, but this was enough to get him put in mental health." Carson said to him and he nodded as they sighed as he explained that to him as he looked at him gently as he went into parade rest then. "Yes Sir, and it's something you'd see as duty to your friends on the tv show, well, I was doing duty to the truth that day, as result now here."
"But to protect the guys, Sam and Teal'C from Pyrus, I threw myself up in their place, but I was nearly killed in the cave in here. Everything Frasier is about to tell you later on. It's all sleep deprivation, but I've worked over time for three weeks Sir. But some of the effects of it are left over from the cave in, I gained 90% healing, and what's left are the effects of what's coming."
"Remember what you taught me when I went into command training here with you now. After you named me honorary captain at the time and I made a command decision. But here's the point, but that there are a lot of things we do, that we wish we could change. And sure as hell can't forget right now, but the whole concept to chain of command, at times undermines the idea of free will."
"So as soldiers, we have to make some very tough decisions, and follow orders as we were trained to, but it doesn't make it any easier at the moment. And it certainly doesn't make it right, but it does put some of the blame on the guy giving the orders. The eight of you gave orders not to rock the boat, and that's what I was doing and I made it clear that I can't risk the guys here."
"It's a long story and I know he's trying to cover that up, but look again at that." he said and Hammond looked down as he read the paper as he saw something else and looked up at him then to say it then before the shift hit him then as they heard a mental shouting then as they heard a tone of desperation at that. As they heard him say it quickly at that as Sam turned to him then as she said it to him.
"I take it he just forced his consciousness into your body then as you collapsed on us?" Janet asked and he nodded as they heard his mental remarks to that. 'No, no not now, not now, stop get out of my head, guys, just do it, get me off the base, get me away from the gate, do it now.' he said as he shifted position before the dizzy spell hit him. "Daniel!" she said as she grabbed him then as Hammond stood up at that.
As he collapsed on the floor as Hammond said it quickly at that. "Dr. Jackson, Daniel!" he snapped as she checked him over and then looked at him. "He's unconscious." she said and he grabbed the phone. "This is General Hammond, code red medical emergency, my office." he said and slammed the phone down as he moved to them at that as he crouched next to him as he put his hand to his forehead.
"Uh huh, yeah I see it alright, no you and their plan never works, she's converted completely here right now, no you and she's scared that she'll walk back in there. But them, it's to get our attention off them for once, by sabotaging your reputation, but nice try, we're not falling for it. And with that, Vance we need him under our care, they're desperate to the point here, of attempted murder of dozens of officers."
"To prove they're sane." MacGregor said sternly to that as he looked at him then as he crossed his arms then. "But if she becomes Linda, on Furlong regarding you, and she's being put in the maximum security side of the hospital. I got a few orderlies, this is Jack Barlough, he's, in appearance, said orderly that knocked her over, but him. The man that got the keys thrown at him, the duo that went her, said female security guard."
"And 3 security guards, all of them matching the quintet that kept doing Linda at the time."Hancock said and Daniel nodded in relief to the news as he answered him then gently at that as he said it. "Well I'm not answering any letters, no phone calls, nothing, she deserves this for her cruel remark, regarding Sha're. But Jack gets Dr. Rosen, the duo with him, she gets you, so she's about to make her situation worse with every action."
"But if she becomes completely deranged out of desperation, you have no choice, she needs help, it's not my job to prevent them from making fools of themselves." he said and he nodded gently. "No kidding." he said to him then sternly then. "I spend most of my time space bound right now, but we need to recon the planet we found her on, it could be an ancient planet, it is, we know we're on the right track, but we have 2 years."
"In 5 to 6 months, who knows what we can get done in that time here, no war slowing progress down, as we have a war starting, between you and the NID, as Jacob said. They're so busy driving each other crazy, we got time to do our real mandate." he said and Hammond chuckled. "And there's the you I know again, starting to heal, but you're you again." he said smiling and Daniel smiled as Hammond hugged him tightly then in relief.
And as he pressed his forehead to Hammond's then gently at that. "I'll be fine dad, but I just need a vacation away from the SGC, if I like my new placement. Becomes permanent now, I been serving Landry, in this time-line, if we reached the Ancient's alter ego. 5 years, I served under you for another 5, so 10 years involved here, as such right now. Tell Kate she has a big brother now, but I'm integrating myself into your family."
"like we would have, had Nick not interfered with that." he said and Hammond smiled and nodded. "Adoptive big brother, she adores you, and once Veronica hears this, she's seeing you as her half brother." he said and Daniel nodded. "My baby girls, and brother in law, my sisters, Maggie, you, you're my entire family, so why not. I became everything you wanted." he said and he chuckled then and nodded in agreement to that.
"But that exchange I'd have with you for real, ended up in said vision, as you decided on a vacation, you transferred me to Landry. Permanently, I needed a break to be me again, assigned Robert to the team, slowed things down to a crawl." he said and they nodded, knowing Jack would have gone pale. "Yeah that's something I would do alright, your vision, via Sha're told the evidence, the following three months, only instead."
"Now of resigning, I gave you a vacation now and assigned you to my other best friend, as you were flying high, now that the feathers had grown back." Hammond said, knowing here as Daniel told him, he was retiring from the program and they checked it. In his exchange with Jack in the episode Anf just after Amonet tried to kill him and knowing Jack. He would have paled, realizing his attitude then, it had played a part of his decision to quit.
And from the SGC now and now seeing the only person he would miss was Teal'C and Teal'C decided to quit too, and came along with him, as they stayed a duo, in program teams, and passed their knowledge to Landry now. "Hey! You should meet the whiz kid they saddled us with while you were out of commission." he said and Daniel ignored even looking at him then. "Yeah cold shoulder touch always worked." Parker said sternly to this then firmly.
"Robert Rothman, he was my research assistant when I was doing my dissertation. Smart guy, had a good teacher." he said and he said it in disgust then. "Geek." he said and Daniel sighed then. "And there's the reason we scientists don't want anything to do with you, you're as prejudiced. As a teenage just activated training ensign calling the General the old man, because you're not getting attention, as a teenage red shirt." Daniel said sternly then to this.
"Yes, you used to call me that." he said and Jack said it. "I was talking about you, so…., how long are we going to be stuck with this guy?" He said to him as Daniel said it. "What do you mean?" he asked and, knowing Jack have paled, as he heard his voice, realizing this really was forever now at the news and he said it then. "How long are you going to be gone?" he said and Daniel nodded. "Didn't…, didn't dad tell you?" he said and he said it.
"What? That you quit? Yeah, he told me that, but uh…, come on, we both know you can't stay away." he said to him, and Hammond shook his head, and he'd start shaking. "Then I guess we're both wrong cause…, I'm gone." he said and he said it snidely. "Give it a week. You'll miss me." he said and Daniel said it bluntly."Yes, all the…salty, bad-tempered insults, all the illogical arguments…" he said and as she'd flinched then.
Now realizing every word to Jack was another piece to her situation. "Ok, you'll miss Carter and Teal'C." he said and he said it, switching it. "I'll miss Teal'C." he said, knowing that would hit her now finally, now realizing in being around Jack, he come to take offense to anything she did, regarding him, and Teal'C was the only true friend here he had out of the 4 of them. Her, Jack, Teal'C and Janet then, because they treated him like crap at the time now,
And ever since Jolinar came into the picture then as Henderson crossed his arms sternly, knowing a change of scenery and job statuses was needed now, and as Hammond vetoed their objections. "And you'll miss the excitement: All the new cultures you get to explore, the living history. It's the kind of stuff you can't walk away from." he said and she swallowed hard then. "Never thought he's leave because of your behaviors." Pulaski said sternly to this.
"Jack: Up until now, every time I set foot through that 'Gate I was thinking about my wife, maybe I'll see her this time, maybe this is the one. Now every time I go through, it'd just be some.., someplace, where that hope used to be." he said and Sarah felt her heart rip apart, realizing that's how he felt after she too got taken. "That's why I can't do it any more…, I hope you understand that." he said and Anna wiped the tears off her face.
"The SGC may be the single most important human endeavor for the future of mankind, not bad, huh?…, You said that." he said and he said it in finality then. "The SGC will go on without me, you got by without me when I was for 2 months. after I found Denali, you can do without me now, as I'm transferring departments." he said firmly and and Hancock nodded. "Yeah that's plenty pal." Warner said smiling sternly and he nodded.
"Like anyone would say, space is cold, that you're all dressed in long sleeves, aside from the kids, but being in the coldest continent on Earth, it's a never ending winter in the rockies. Or the great lake states here, so bundle up and stay warm here outside, with it being summer there right now." he said and she nodded as Deanna said it for her, with an amused smile on her face. "Well as you're all Star Trek fans, my version, as my generation, just go season 3, in appearance, you're a red." Deanna said and he nodded.
Gently with a smile on his face then at that. "Still sell the costumes, we can buy them and get ourselves designated to our color department, red means pilots and command, blue medical, psychiatry and science, and dark gold. That means security, technical and the engineering teams, so that's all three of you." he said and the quintet nodded,. "Your version is the one I love anyway, I watch your show all the time, the people."
"Said playing you, got it to 2375 now." he said and they all nodded, as Picard said it then. "That's 9 years for us in whatever happens prior to the Traveler coming back into this." Picard said and he nodded to him and he nodded sternly then as he answered him. "Let's just say being at the academy had the opposite effect you wanted, some little punk. Named Locarno got him in trouble with inquiry and you and Beverly with them."
"right now, just wait and you'll see what I mean, if you have Geordi and Data, now do the forensics, calm down, and this is a case of don't shoot the messenger." he said to him then. "If something was left out on the recordings, this means the little brat attempted it closer then you should attempt it, in your more dangerous maneuvers of precision flying." he said and they nodded as Picard crossed his arms sternly as he said it.
"I'm not going to like the realization of which one am I, if Wesley tried to talk them out of this, and whoever was killed with him?" he asked and Daniel nodded. "You know your own piloting maneuvers this one got banned when Kirk was a cadet." he said and he nodded then. "And we're banning it now, before anyone tries it, because as the years go by, Jack's children and grandchildren would be the idiots attempting it." he said and they nodded.
"When running forensics, you discovered here that opened his coolant interlock, before the accident." he said and Geordi exchanged looks with Data then. "Well that narrows it down, but open coolant interlock, that's the first step to…., to purging the plasma." Geordi said sternly and Data nodded as his mind processed what happened that day. "It's the first step in purging the plasma exhaust.." he said and Picard nodded slowly.
As, instead of seeing a just turned 17 year old, he saw his son as a 6 year old, and when they saw each other, at 15, as he remembered his adoptive son, with the youthful smile of a young boy of 10 to 12, and his fatherly instincts toward him went crazy at that in response. 'No baby, baby please tell me you didn't, you're not ready for this yet, if you were trying."
"Now to send every message possible, just to get me to realize it, I understand, but they're facing my wrath if I get called to the school.' he thought, praying it wasn't true then. "Yeah, the engine would probably ignite the plasma." Geordi said and he nodded in realization, as he said it."Ignite the plasma: That's exactly what they were trying to do, only doing it too close together and it fried whoever's exhaust and killed them."
"And Wesley ended up hurt from the blast, young man just what the hell were you thinking of. You're not ready for this yet, and that close together, it could kill all of you." he said sternly to leader of the squadron at that. "Thank you for the warning, if he was leaving clues to me, to help me crack it. I never been so furious, they talked him into lying to us, I should have never let him go to the academy, he was better off."
"With us, if he got sick and during the aftermath of the next footfold we had on the ship, but Wesley's right, if I been compromised. They can't trust anyone on the ship, over the age of 25, us being their parents and legal guardians here." he said sternly and he nodded then gently as he answered him then at the news "Well I suggest you watch the show, if he decides to add onto the manhunt later, we know what's going on."
"But as you thought, drugged and he can come up 4 good ideas. In an hour, but thinking straight.." he said and Will nodded then gently. "Whoever it is working, through us, had better get out of his way, before he throws everything he has. When in his mental arsenal at them right now, yeah you're right, why else here. Would we get overly protective." he said and Picard nodded in agreement sternly to that opinion then.
"Well knowing what the future holds now, after he returns to the academy, I'm tempted to remove him. From there right now, as he stays home, we have better use for him, then they do, as on the ship. He's an ensign, borderline junior grade, there at the academy, he's a cadet. He knew the academy regs inside and out to attempt this, he never lied to me before, that he's not starting now, but a more personal matter."
"Wesley is my matter." he said and Daniel nodded. "And there's an insult not going down well, I just got proof, my favorite show is real. As you're it, this means I have to find the Earth side of the team, the girls. Geordi, Jim, Miles, Will, Wes and Picard's grandparents, if they all look like their grandparents. I just found my home, but what happens if I lose my memory, what then, are you or the crew going to come back."
"Slam my memory back into place now." he said softly to her and she nodded gently and he smiled in relief at that. "Going to be okay, we're going to bring it back and when we do, you're you once again, the you we know, our friend, brother and son, we just got you back. We're not losing you again, no matter what the NID say, your powers are buried, for now. Once unlocked, and you're going to be more powerful then anyone."
"Now that we ever come across, as it jumps from member to member. In your family, Daniel."Guinan said and he nodded, as she hugged him tightly, and he smiled. "Felger don't say it, that at least your heroes exist, but Vulcan Felger, Vulcan. But that's the Enterprise crew A, mine is D, but how can you call yourself a scientist. And not worship at the alter of Roddenberry." he said and she started laughing and nodded then.
"Yeah not good, with knowing they're real, those of us that are TNG are buying costumes, to match the department. That we belong to, you're a red, but you do everything." Anna said with a chuckle and she smiled in agreement to that opinion then as he said it to that then. "But but snorkeling is a nice word for it Simon, but you're right, he doesn't know the darkside to his heroes, whatsoever, at least our heroes exist."
"And we got them standing here right now." he said and Dr. Simon Coombs nodded in agreement gently. "Yep, but really, how many times we got to kill Apophis, before he's dead already, I was afraid. In truth, you were never going to come back, you treat me like an equal, not a hindrance." he said to him and he nodded gently. "Yeah that's a debate that is going wear thin, the little weasel is going to drive him crazy." Walker said to that gently.
"As I said here, guys knock it off, now let's all focus and see if we can't get this thing to work."a scientist said with a bemused smile "Well us scientists, we all love you and to us no you, the galaxy just got a lot more dangerous, now that this system lord returned to the galaxy. Said whoever it might be, we need you there leading us like you always had." Coombs said and Daniel nodded in understanding, and Hammond chuckled
In knowing everyone civilian then, had hero worship for Daniel, and they all looked up to him, he stood up for what he believed in, not bound by the rules of the military. "Our show's creator and our version, the next generation, alright point taken and for the record you're right, my version hasn't been born yet. But next best thing, gather your version, and your new student, is my baby's grandfather's." she said and he smiled.
"Wes." he said to clarify smiling then and she nodded and he smiled gently then. "Then I need to round up Jake, the Daytons and Robin's grandparents, season 5, Robin Lefler, his girlfriend now." he said and she nodded. "That's too late for that Danny, George, Sanderson told me about the SGA prerogatives now, so whatever you're doing is a choice between you, I chose Crusher, the Daytons and Lefler for advanced training."
"SGA specs." they heard and he nodded. "Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Jackson reporting for duty, Sir." Daniel said and he smiled. "At ease Colonel and nice to meet you." Brigidaire General Michael Kerrigan said and they nodded, in relief he said that. "Well that's not Colonel, but Commander now, Commander, Dr. Daniel Jackson." Parker said smiling and Henderson and Barnes nodded in agreement, knowing he earned that right to his promotion.
"Nice here, so we can gather your new command, her version's grandparents and your command is born. Not military force, you're trade and exploration now." Addison said and he nodded. "All but 3, we never been to the trio yet, to get Worf, Deanna and Tasha's grandparents yet." he said and they nodded in agreement to that news. "So you're sum number years left, before leaving a second time, that helps right now."
