The twin suns burned bright over the city of Mos Eisely as the locals went on about their daily business like they always did. None paid any attention to the hooded stranger, covered in a brown cloak with a hood covering their face from the harsh heat of the desert planet, walked through the many shaded streets. They stranger looked around, ensuring they were not being followed as they travelled deeper into the depths of the large sand covered city. They soon arrived at a smaller street and headed closer to one building in particular that looked very similar to the others surrounding it. This building though was guarded by two strong looking Weequay men wearing similar armour over their torso, brown pants and black sandals on their feet, who stopped the stranger from proceeding any further.
"What business do you have here?" One asked the stranger.
"I have been sent here by my employer who wishes for me to complete a transaction with your boss on his behalf." The female stranger answered. She dipped her hand into the pocket of her cloak causing the guards to raise their pikes at her. In a panic for her safety and realising what she had just done wrong, she explained to them what she was grabbing out of her pocket.
"Wait! I carry no weapons! I- I have this data-pad that has all the information on it. Please take me to meet your boss so I can show them that I'm here on business."
One guard looked to the other before heading into the building leaving her to wait with the other guard. Moments later the first guard returned accompanied by a tall, white skinned male Twilek garbed in a blue tunic with a grey top, black pants and black shoes on his feet. The female stranger believed that this Twilek was the individual whom she was meant to complete the transaction with and handed him the data-pad. The Twilek took it and read the details before turning back to her.
"My dear, I am not the person this information is for. My master is the one who you are meant to show this to." The Twilek told her. She felt uncertain about this turn of events but still had a job to do. She quickly apologised about the misunderstanding and requested for him to take her to his 'master'. The Twilek frowned at her request.
"I'm sorry, but you must have an appointment to see my master first… and I cannot allow you to enter without being thoroughly searched to ensure you carry no weapons."
She understood, having had to deal with high class consultants in the past who contained paid guards to keep them safe from anyone who would likely want to kill them. She was obviously no sort of individual. She took off her cloak, showing her Caucasian skin and lovely looking face, long blonde hair tied in a short pony going down her back and the black, long sleeved top, dark blue jeans and black shoes covering her feet.
"There. As you can see I carry no weapons on me. Now can we please meet wit your boss?" She asked kindly. The Twilek stared back at her closely, examining every part of her quite tall, slender body.
"That is not good enough. My guards will have to check you themselves." He stated. At Bib's order in Huttese, the two guards moved towards her as she looked nervous. She stood still as the two of them patted down her entire body from her neck down to her feet, checking every inch of her. She felt uneasy having these men feel around her body and was at least glad she was still clothed while they did so. As soon as they had finished, they told the Twilek that she was clean.
"I told you I had no weapons. Was it really that necessary to pat me down like that?" She thought, feeling a little annoyed at the unexpected treatment. The Twilek seemed convinced now and gestured for her to follow him inside. She rather reluctantly obliged and followed behind him and headed inside. She got a fright hearing the doors close behind her and felt more nervous being at a place like this on her own. She was beginning to question whether she should have agreed to taking on this job, feeling like this particular transaction was starting to end up out of her league. Her worries were interrupted when they arrived at a quite well lit, open foyer area with a desk on the right side and brown couches on the opposite side. She also noticed a doorway opposite where they entered where she could overhear a lot of commotion coming from.
"Make yourself at home my dear while I go inform my master of your arrival." The Twilek told her. He then walked over to the doorway and headed down the adjoining hallway out of sight. She just sat down on the very soft couch, surprised at how different the softness of the couch was was to the rest of the rough, sandstone covered room. While she waited, she thought back to what her boss had told her. She was one of the top employees, so she was not surprised when her boss asked her to fulfil this transaction on his behalf and it was not first time he had asked one of his employees to do so. She remembered him telling her that she would be well rewarded for it if she agreed to do it, more than she could ever dream. With the way this situation had played out so far, she hoped that he was not lying to just convince her to agree. The Twilek soon returned and told her that it was time. She left the couch, still carrying her cloak in her arms and followed the Twilek out of the foyer, through the short, fairly lit corridor and into a larger room that looked to be more than double the size of the foyer. Unlike the emptiness of the foyer, this room was accompanied by several patrons of different species going about their business while being served drinks by scantily clad, humanoid female servants also of different species. She looked away from the servants in disgust, wondering how any woman could degrade herself that much to willingly serve in this kind of environment. She was glad that she was treated well and knew she would never give up her dignity that easily. She continued to follow the Twilek to the centre of the room that stopped in front of a large, flat stone dais where the most vile kind of creature in the galaxy sat upon; it's large slug body reclined peacefully upon the stone platform as it's large, copper eyes darted around the room, taking in the sight of the entertainment around it. She was left disgusted looking up at it and wanted to leave straight away, thinking that it could not be the consultant she was to complete the transaction with. The Twilek went up beside it and whispered something in it's ear, causing the slug's eyes to shoot straight down at her standing before it, making her feel a little more unnerved.
"And who are you to think you can just come here unannounced and complete a transaction with me?" It asked; it's deep voice, speaking in Huttese, making her shiver in fear. She was well versed in understanding most common languages which included Huttese, and replied as best as she could in basic.
"I… I am Sara. I come on behalf of my employer Rester to complete a transaction on his behalf." She explained. The slug's eyes widened at the mention of that name.
"Ahh yes. Rester. So he has sent you in his stead has he?" It asked.
"Uh yes. If you look on that data-pad your associate is holding, you will see." Sara told it.
"BIB!" The slug boomed. Sara flinched in shock from the slug's sudden boom as the Twilek came back to the slug's side.
"Yes Master Jabba. Here it is."
He handed the data-pad to Jabba who looked over it extensively. The whole room remained silent and Sara stood patiently, hoping that this was going to be over soon.
"All he has to do is look over it, sign it and hand it back. Then I'll be out of here, get back and have a serious chat with Rester." She thought to herself. Jabba looked back up from the data-pad, back at Sara and spoke again.
"Do you know what information is on this device?" He asked her. Sara looked puzzled, wondering why she was being asked about it.
"No… no I do not. The information on that data-pad are for my boss and his specific consultant only. I have no access privileges to that sort of information." Sara explained. Jabba large, wide mouth began to turn into a smile, as he continued.
"So you are not aware that Rester owes me a large sum of money?" He asked her. Sara explained again, thinking that she had not explained well enough the first time.
"As I said, I have no access to the information or status of the transactions. I am only a messenger. Nothing more. If you think it best, you can contact him and speak to him yourself if you are not satisfied with the arrangement detailed on that."
Jabba decided to take Sara up on her idea and sent out a transmission to her boss. Within seconds Rester's hologram appeared in the room before them.
"Greetings great Jabba. What do I owe this pleasure of you contacting me?" He asked.
"Rester, I have just read about your arrangement and the payment is acceptable." Jabba stated.
"Good… that means my work is done and I can leave this terrible place." Sara thought in relief.
"Very good then Jabba. I hope you enjoy her and she serves you just as well as she has served me these past few years." Rester replied. Sara's eyes widened at the sound of that and looked to his hologram.
"WHAT? What do you mean? I completed the transaction so now I can come back and receive my reward. Or was that all a lie Rester." She asked, feeling all confused from the sudden change of events.
"Should you tell her or shall I?" Rester asked Jabba. Jabba did not answer in words, only with a gesture from his pudgy right hand to Rester.
"Oh you poor naive girl. I never lied about you being rewarded in a way way you could never imagine. I needed a way to pay Jabba back and you were my collateral. And being in his service is definitely a well reward any girl would desire. I'm sorry but this is the last I'll see of you." Rester mocked. He then turned back to Jabba and said his goodbye before ending the transmission. Sara fell to her knees, cursing herself for ever having trusted that man and working for him for so long in the first place. That became the least of her worries.
"Guards! Bring me my new acquisition." Jabba bellowed with a deep booming laughter. Two Gammorean guards clad in shoulder armour, furry brown shorts and black sandals moved toward Sara and grabbed her by her arms.
"Let go of me! Let me go!" She protested violently. Jabba only smiled, satisfied in seeing her fruitless fighting while in the grip of the guards. He knew that he would soon relinquish that feisty side of her and enjoy taking his time doing so. It made it only the more satisfying when they finally give in and accept their new place as his slave. The guards brought Sara close to Jabba, stopping right in front of his bloated, slime covered belly. She struggled to get as far away from this monster as she could. There was no way she would ever serve him.
"Soon you will learn your place as my new slave girl." Jabba remarked. All she could do was stare back in fear, not wanting to find out what he had planned for her. Matters worsened when he opened his large maw and stuck out his slimy, elongated tongue. She groaned in utter disgust at the horrid appendage and almost gagged from the stench that left his mouth. Jabba's tongue stretched out toward it's target and Sara pulled her head away from it as best as she could. It was all in vain though. To her shock it planted itself right on her left cheek, moving around it in a circular motion and leaving a trail of slime dripping down her side. Jabba retracted his tongue, having had his fun for now. He wanted to savour her for when they returned to his palace.
"Take her to the barge. We're heading back home." He ordered. Sara's fears grew and she protested while the guards carried her out of the main throne room and down another corridor out of sight.
