That week Paul had showed her the under ground cellar that could be used for shelter. Mya had seen the place that was used previously and thought that it looked safe. Paul's ancestors had used it for their family's and it had saved hundreds of lives according to the history books that LA Push kept. Mya stayed up with Paul at night talking about how she felt about him being in danger. He insisted that he would be fine and that he was well trained for the upcoming arrival. When he came home from the last training session, he had made it clear how much he would miss her. The imprint legend is rumored that if one imprint dies then so does the other. Mya couldn't bear the thought of what emotional stress should would be under, if she lost him.
The day finally came that they were waiting for, Paul had been out running the boarder that day with the pack. As night was starting to appear, Mya thought that they must have changed their minds. She was waiting at their house with the intention to join the other in the cellar if she heard the howl that was the signal something was wrong. Mya grabbed her stuff she packed and headed to the cellar. Their were about 120 of them in there, and doors were shut after the last person arrived. They listened as they heard growling, rocks falling, and screaming. The fight lasted for 9 hours. Then Sam came to the door and knocked three times to let them know it was clear. Mya stepped out and she could see blood on the trees, as she walked toward the forest she could also smell burning. Sam let out a whistle to signal he wanted to say something, he then informed them that there were a few casualties in the town of forks. Mya walked back to her place hoping to find Paul there. He showed up soon after her, she went to embrace him. He looked like he didn't have any serious wounds. She asked if any of the pack were injured. Paul said, no that they had some scratches, that was it. He told her there were at least 70 vampires, they were able to take care of them. The town of forks hadn't done too bad, they had locked themselves in their basement and the pack found a few vampires trying to get into hiding spots. Mya was glad he was safe, he said he needed to take a shower, and Mya asked if she could help him in there, he replied with a yes. Mya followed him him in, then washed some of the blood off, most of it must not have been his blood. After the shower they went to bed and tested the imprint knowledge. Mya was unable to pull herself way from his kisses to get the proper breath she needed. They were making their own air space and the moment was exactly what Mya thought almost loosing her imprint was supposed to be.
The next day Mya had seen La Push, their were a few homes that needed repairs, one porch had been left in rough condition. On her way to the pharmacy, she saw that forks was a little better that La Push was with damage, but the whole town looked like it had been vandalized. Mya had a 4 hour shift to work, and when she went there the door was locked. She used her key to get in, then she saw a message blinking on the answer machine. She played the message and it said that ginger had taken the day off because of her helping out with the vandalism in town. It also said they were short staffed because of the biker vandalism incident. The message was over, so Mya went to unlock the pharmacy window. When a customer pulled up to the window, she took the prescription, then heard the lady ask if she had any problems in La Push. Mya replied that both towns were effected, but she hadn't personally seen anything. The lady told her that the bikers hadn't attacked the whole village, and they ran into the woods when a group of wolves chased them. She then informed Mya that she might want to keep a animal at home to protect her, In case anything like that happened again. Mya thanked her for the advice, then told her that the prescription should be ready the next day. After finishing her shift, Mya locked the door, then walked to her car. On the drive home it started to rain and the rain smoothed out the dirt that was disturbed by the event. When Mya got home she sat outside with Paul to watch the stars in the sky, they looked like they were directly over them, almost as if to mark the won battle.
