I've been told that there isn't really that much crossover interactions between the Nikke and Smash Bros. characters. I'll see what I can do about this.
Chapter 44
Dawn Breaks
Garon was walking down a hallway of his castle, alongside one of his guards. "Have you heard anything from Hyrule, about its current state?" the former asked the guard.
"Nothing yet, but assuming that Colgera is as powerful as they claim to be, it's likely Hyrule is in ruins by now," replied the guard. "However, with the news that the prophesied chosen heroes having made their appearances… What if they managed to defeat him?"
"Bah! I wouldn't worry too much about that prophecy! Those people are probably just posers trying to scare us! If the Demon King doesn't pay much attention to them, why should we?" said Garon. "For all we know, Colgera probably…"
Their discussion was interrupted by the sound of explosion, and one could hear screams as well, something like they were under attack. Garon was shocked and confused, and he immediately rushed through the castle to get to the source of the sound.
Arriving at first room of the castle, he was shocked to see that the door had been blown open in flames, and Nihilister was standing there. "Who the hell are you?!" Garon angrily asked her.
"What's this? I went through the trouble of tearing through the laughable security and made it here first, and only a shriveled old man is here to greet me?" said the Nikke with a smirk.
A second later, an armored truck drove into the castle and parked next to her. Centi and Exia were seen driving. The back of the truck opened, and the good guys came out of it. Shortly afterwards, they were joined by several horseback riders and soldiers rushing into the place.
"The Hylian Army!" gasped Garon, recognizing the soldiers' uniforms. He then noticed his sons and daughters standing among them. "Xander! You lot! You dare show your face here again after turning against me!"
"Father! Stop this madness!" Xander begged him. "It's not too late for you to realize that what you are doing is harming the country, not saving it!"
"Please, father! We beg you! Please don't do anything that will hurt the people of this country again!" Elise begged her tearfully.
"Fools! I am saving our country! The Demon King promised great things to me, making our country great again! We can have the whole world for ourselves! Our people will be able to run around freely rather than just live in this miserable land!" insisted Garon. "What I'm doing is for the good of our country, and you insist on disobeying me?!"
"The Demon King won't promise you anything! He will get rid of you once he has no use for you!" Link told him. "Trust me; I know him too well!"
"Enough! I have enough of people not listening to me! I will show you what the Demon King granted me! The power to rule the world and make things great!" said Garon, raising his hand and lighting it up with purple fire. "Come forth, monsters!"
Under his command, several magic circles appeared on the ground, and various monsters rose out of them. The sight of this shocked the good guys. "This is the power the Demon King granted you? To summon atrocities obsessed with bloodshed? Garon! You are an idiot!" Corrin angrily said to him.
"Hahaha! You will see for yourself how powerful I have become!" laughed Garon. "All those who oppose and underestimate me shall die! Monsters, kill them all!"
Under his command, the monsters charged at the good guys, who also charged at them and fought back.
Nihilister used her dragon cannons to blast away a number of monsters, sending ember flying everywhere as a result. Leo called out to her while blasting them with magic, saying, "Control your firepower! You're not allowed to lay waste to our castle!"
"Tsk! Where's the fun if I have to hold back?" grumbled Nihilister.
As the others fought, Exia and Centi remained inside the truck, watching the chaos go on outside. A Talus suddenly appeared before them and began punching the head of the truck. "Whoa there! Slow down!" cried Centi. The two Nikke cried as they hugged each other, while the Talus continued to punch the truck head, trying to destroy it.
Before the head was flattened, Centi and Exia hurriedly tossed themselves outside. Using her Ultrahand, Centi lifted some pieces of the truck into the air and slammed them against the Talus. Exia used her sniper rifle to shoot the joints of the Talus, weakening them to keep the stone monster from moving properly. Centi then took out her gun and fired exploding shells at it, finally blowing it into pieces.
"Woohoo! We did it!" exclaimed Centi.
"Ugh… And I thought we could avoid getting into fights just by staying in the truck…" cried Exia, looking at the truck head that was now flattened.
All the while, Garon moved to the far end of the room, avoiding getting into fights himself. However, Corrin wouldn't get him get away with it and went after him. "Garon!" she angrily shouted. Without hesitation, she swung down the Yato at him, and he brought up an ax to block it.
BGM: Lost King's Supper
"That's the legendary weapon Yato! So you're the chosen hero!" said Garon in shock. The sword began functioning like a chainsaw, and its jagged edge grind against his ax, sending sparks flying everywhere.
"The one chosen to defeat you!" she responded.
Both sides pushed against each other for a while until Garon generated dark flames in one hand and swung it at Corrin, likely to burn her, but she saw this and reacted in time by jumping away. She closed in on him again, and they clashed their weapons against each other several times.
After clashing multiple times, Corrin moved away as Crown charged forward with her lance pointing at Garon. Garon swung his ax at the incoming lance and diverted its direction, but Crown still moved in towards him and reached out her hand to his neck, pushing him backwards until he was pinned against a wall, her Nikke strength preventing him from escaping her grasp.
"You are not a good king! While it is true a king makes proper judgment of things he heard before getting the final say, you did not listen to anyone at all nor did you make any judgments! You went ahead and insist that you are right and would not listen to anyone! A good king would never do this!" Crown said to him.
"What do you know about being a king?!" said Garon. As he tried to shove Crown away, purple flames gathered around him until a shockwave was formed, blasting her backwards. Garon, with his eyes glowing and his body covered in purple flames, said as he approached her, "The Demon King granted me power that people can only dream of! With this power, I will make Nohr a great kingdom! Why stop at Nohr? I will the entire world great! The whole world will see how good of a king I am and worship me! Anyone who does not agree with me are villains who are trying to disturb the peace of this world!"
"Fool! There is no peace in the world you or the Demon King wishes!" Crown angrily said to him. She charged at him and thrust her lance forward, but to her surprise, Garon caught by the tip of the lance with his bare hand and stopped it with no effort.
"You are no match for the power I have now!" he said before flinging her away.
Corrin ran up to him next and swung her Yato against his ax. The two clashed their weapons together, and Garon, due to his power up, swung with a powerful force that made Corrin almost fall over with each hit. Amidst the clashing, Garon released black flames from his hand at her, but she jumped out of the way. Corrin opened her mouth and shot out blue fire that looked more like water at him. The breath attack struck Garon and pushed him away as he cried in shock, knocking him into a wall.
Corrin then ran and jumped at him, ready to bring down her sword onto him, but at the last moment, Garon released a burst of black fire from his hand that blasted her back into the air, and she landed with a cry of pain.
Crown pointed her lance at Garon and fired energy bullets rapidly, and he held up his ax to block them while closing in on her. Crown kept on firing until her lance overheated and needed to take a few seconds break, and this gave Garon the opportunity to launch a black fire blast at her that she was able to dodge in time.
Corrin lunged at him and clashed blades with him again. After trading blows with each other for a while, Corrin was able to disarm him by slashing him in his hand. She then slashed him in the waist, making him spin and fall to the floor in pain. Pointing the Yato at him, she said, "Enough! Surrender at once!"
"You think you can convince me to surrender with words alone?!" Garon said in anger.
Xander had just finished slaying some monsters when he came over to them both, and he said to Garon, "Father, please, enough of this! I do not like it going against you, but you are not thinking clearly! There is nothing good coming from allying with the Demon King!"
Elise and Leo also came forward, begging their father to stop this madness. Corrin then said to him, "Your children are begging you with all their hearts, so will you not change? If you still call yourself a human being, then realize that what you are doing is wrong already!"
Garon growled in frustration and said, "All of you are disappointments! My children disobeying and turning against me!" As he said this, dark fire surrounded his body and almost engulfed him entirely, and the sight of this made the others step back.

The fire consumed him entirely and began spreading out in every direction, and the others were in shock at what was happening. "I will show you what happens if you go against me and Lord Ganondorf!" said Garon's monstrous and echoing voice from within the dark fire that continued to grow. "This is the power I have obtained from the Demon King, and you will suffer firsthand at it for coming against me!"
The fire then disappeared, revealing that in place of Garon, there was now a large dark-colored dragon. "What the?!" said Corrin in shock.
"Father!" gasped Elise.
"Father! What have become of you?!" said Xander in disbelief.
Nihilister saw this and said, "Pfft! My dragon form looks cooler!"
"All of you good for nothing brats! Die!" said the transformed Garon loudly as he raised his claw into the air and swung down in their direction, but they got out of the way fast.
"Such monstrosity! This is the power of the Demon King? Are you proud of what you have become?" Crown asked Garon.
"I have the power to rule everything thanks to him! Fools like you will never understand!" replied Garon.
"You really are hopeless, just like the Garon I know," said Corrin in disappointment with a look of anger as water appeared around her and began swirling around her body. "If you insist on fighting until the end, then so be it. I will no longer hold back!"
A large amount of water covered by Corrin, blocking her view from everyone else, and then with an explosion of water, a white dragon with deer-like antlers and pointing limbs appeared and let out a loud roar.
"This… This is what I heard about!" said Xander in awe.
"She transformed again!" said Link in surprise.
"So that was what they meant when they said Corrin can transform into a dragon? Wow! I'm finally seeing it with my eyes!" said Centi in amazement.
The two dragons stared down at each other, and Garon asked, "Just what are you?"
"The one who will defeat you!" replied Corrin. She then released a blast of blue fire, to which Garon responded by breathing a blast of black fire. The two breath attacks collided and canceled out each other as they pushed against each other.
Both dragons kept up their breath attacks until they stopped due to running out of breath. Garon then lunged at Corrin, attacking with his claws and also biting her. Corrin let out a roar of pain as she got pushed back, the others getting out of the way so as to not get run over by them. Corrin shook her body violently until she managed to get Garon off, and then she rammed her antlers against him, pushing him across the place and against a wall with a force that cracks appeared on it, and the place even shook.
"Incredible! This is a monster battle that could be spoken of for ages!" said Guillotine in awe.
Corrin continued to slam her antlers and also her legs against Garon over and over, but eventually, the latter released a blast of black fire from his mouth at her, blasting her back through the air, once again sending the others fleeing so that they don't get crushed by her falling body.
Before Corrin could get up, Garon jumped at her and crashed down on top of her body, and then he bit her in the area around the neck, making her cry in pain.
"We have to help her!" said Link in panic.
"I'm on it!" said Guillotine as she ran towards the two dragons and swung her sword to fire a light blade at Garon. This grabbed Garon's attention, so he let go of Corrin and approached Guillotine. He lunged at her with his mouth wide open, but Guillotine leaped over him and landed on his neck. She plunged the sword into the back of his neck. He shook his head in response and caused her to fall off, and then she backed away.
Before Garon could go after Guillotine, it was Corrin's turn to crash down on top of Garon. She roared loudly as she stomped on his body over and over, but was sent tumbling over to the side when Garon flipped over. Garon breathed black fire at her while pressing forward, forcing her backwards.
Corrin was pushed back some steps before she unleashed her breath attack. Both sides were equal as they canceled out each other, but Link gave a hand by jumping onto Garon's back and plunged the Master Sword into it. Garon reeled back in pain, allowing Corrin to make a direct hit with her breath attack.
She pressed forward, this time her turn pushing him back. When her breath attack ended, she charged at him and used her antlers as "hands" to lift and fling him into the air. Garon came crashing back down a small distance away with such a force that the floor cracked.
As Garon was growling in pain, Elise went up to him slowly and said in a scared and tearful tone, "Father… Please… Don't do this anymore…"
But response to his daughter's pleas, the dragon raised his claws over her and growled in anger, clearly with malicious intent. Noting this, Leo called out desperately to her.
Quick as a flash, Link dashed into Elise pushed her out of harm's way just in time when Garon brought down his claws. Turning to the dragon, Link raised the Master Sword into the air for a second before swinging it to unleash a spinning energy disk that cut Garon in the neck, making him cry in pain. Link performed the same move a few more times, hitting him in different parts of the body.
Garon roared in anger as he lunged at Link, lowering his head towards him with his mouth open to consume him, but Link leaped onto his head instead and plunged the Master Sword into his skull. Garon raised his head and shook it around in pain until Link eventually flew off.
Corrin then took a deep breath before unleashing a massive waterspout out of her mouth. The waterspout that cut with the intensity of a high pressure water cutter struck Garon, cutting him all over the body while pushing him backwards.
SPLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH!
Garon collided into some pillars until he hit a wall, and large amount of debris collapsed on top of him. When the dust cleared, he was lying almost motionlessly under the debris, and the others ran up to him.
"Father!" Elise cried out to him.
Garon looked at his children and said, "Curses… To think I would fall to you people…"
Corrin returned to her human form as she approached him and said, "You chose this path, and this is naturally what will happen."
"Right, the day you sign a deal with the Demon King, you've signed your death warrant," Link said to him.
"Perhaps you are right… Perhaps this is what I wanted all along… I admit… I'm not the same person I used to be… The old me that my children knew… is already dead…" said Garon. Looking at his children, he said nothing but simply breathed until he breathed his last. Dark fire appeared around his body, consuming him until he evaporated and was no more than thin air.
BGM Ends
"The old you may have died, but you were still our father… Please rest in peace," said Xander, looking at the spot Garon used to be.
With Garon's defeat, everyone sighed with relief, or in the case of his children, had a moment of silent as they lamented quietly.
"We may have won, yet it is a bittersweet ending… The loss of those you care for is something that is always hard to accept, regardless of who he is…" said Crown.
"He had it coming when he decided to become buddies with the Demon King," said Nihilister.
Corrin walked up to Xander and placed her hand on his shoulder, saying to him, "I'm sorry for your loss…"
"It's okay. This is for the best," Xander told him. "I'm just that it's over for now."
TO BE CONTINUED
Sorry if the ending seems… underwhelming. I'm not good at writing emotional and deep scenes. Plus, Garon isn't supposed to be a likable person, so having too much drama over his death would be weird.
