Chapter 27: Patrols

Izuku saw a package on the floor, with his name on it. Izuku opened up the package. It was a pair of gloves with funnels on them, and a note from someone.

'Dear Izuku Yagi, its an honor to write to you, the son of the No 1 hero. Uncle Might told me about the way your quirk works, and I just had to create something. These gloves will help you develop some new ranged attacks. And they should also compliment the rest of your costume as well.

Izuku took out the gloves and tried them on.

"A new support item eh?" Gentle asked.

"Yea, my dad must've written to someone in America, turns out he worked with them a while back before I was born," Izuku explained.

"I see," Gentle said, "Well, let's put this new item to good use."

"Yes sir!"

Izuku started training once more with the ranged move. He then tried it out with the new support item. A funnel emerged from the glove, controlling the wind pressure for a focused blast.

"This is perfect!" Izuku said, "A new Super Move. Delaware Smash, Air Force!"

Izuku thought of something else.

"Why stop there though?" Izuku asked.

He jumped in the air and started using his birth quirk to levitate. He started using his new move to boost himself to other areas.

"I can use it also for propulsion!"

Gentle clapped his hands, seeing Izuku improve.

'This boy is something else,' he thought.

Back at Mirko's place, Kenshi slowly got himself up. He went into the shower and washed himself off, then used the bathroom. There was a knock on the door.

"Oh, hang on Mo I'll be out in a minute," Kenshi said.

The door opened, revealing Kenshi's mom.

"I don't have a minute," she said.

"Mom what the- what are you do-" Kenshi said covering himself

"The dispenser is outta soap and I- get over yourself," Winry said, "I used to change your diapers kid. There's nothing going on down there I haven't seen before."

"Just…. Get. Out!" Kenshi said.

Later on, everyone was downstairs having breakfast, and Mirko and Winry were chatting it up.

"And so I kicked him in the nuts," Mirko said finishing her story.

"So based on what Kenshi told me, you do a lot of fighting styles," Winry said, "You know. I'm something of a martial artist myself."

"I can tell, cause your body is kicking," Mirko said.

Kenshi and Momo stared at her with a poker face.

"Oh Mirko you flatter me," Winry said with a smile.

"Please, call me Rumi," Mirko said.

Izuku was already improving with his ranged attacks. Especially with the new support item. He could control the wind pressure and aim with percision. Gentle clapped his hands.

"Well you've improved by leaps and bounds," he said with a smile.

"Thank you sir, I've been working hard for this," Izuku said.

"Well, I think you're ready to go out for a patrol," Gentle said, "We'll go around the city, take care of some criminals, and maybe stop for some tea."

"Excellent sir!" Izuku said.

Later on Izuku and Gentle were walking around the city. La Brava was monitoring them from home. They took a stop at a street. Izuku saw someone, a pro hero and a student. The student was meditating.

"I am one with the dragon and the dragon is with me, I am one with the dragon and the dragon is with me, I am one with the dragon and the dragon is with me," the student said.

The pro hero was Gang Orca.

"Ahh, Gentle Pro, out for patrol?" he asked.

"Why yes I am good sir," Gentle said, "And who is this boy."

"This is a student from UA, Ryu Takeyama."

"Taneyama... as in he's Mt Lady's-"

"Nephew," Ryu answered, "Yes."

"I was gonna say son but that works too."

"And who's this boy?" Gang Orca asked.

"This is Izuku Yagi, and I've been training him to use ranged moves."

"What's your power?" Ryu asked.

"Oh actually I have a few," Izuku said, "My birth quirk allows me to attract and repel objects, and I also have a super strength quirk, as well as the ability to create whips."

"Intriguing," Ryu said, "My quirk allows me to manipulate chi."

"Wow, that's awesome," Izuku said.

Later on, Kenshi and Momo were having a few sparring matches with each other, improving on their fighting styles. Kenshi was also teaching Momo different fighting styles with various weapons to give her more of an edge during combat scenarios. Mirko was watching Kenshi with great interest.

"I think you kids are ready for a patrol in the city," Mirko said.

Kenshi and Momo looked at each other and smiled.

"Let's do it," he said.

Izuku and Gentle were on their patrol. Nothing was out of the ordinary. Izuku's eyes suddenly started to glow. He then dodged to the left, and a strange creature came from below trying to attack him. The dust settled, and it looked like a new version of a Nomu.

"There's more of them?" Izuku asked.

"Deku I give you full permission to use your quirk and fight the bad guys!" Gentle said, "I'll deal with evacuation!"

"Got it sir!" Izuku said.

He channeled full Cowling at 20%.

"Time to go all out!" he said.

In another part of the same town, Kenshi, Momo and Rumi were outside. She saw a police officer pushing people back.

"Excuse me, what's going on?" Rumi asked.

"Why would I tell a bimbo dressed as a rabbit?" the rude cop asked.

She punched him in the face then turned to another cop.

"What's going on?!"

"Umm..."

He was met with a punch to the face.

"What's going on?" she asked another cop.

Kenshi and Momo sweatdropped.

Kenshi noticed some streets were flooded with water. One guy blocked an area to stop the water from going up.

"Got it..." he said.

He didn't have it. The water kept going. Kenshi smiled.

"They weren't even looking in the right place," Kenshi said, "come on Mo!"

Kenshi went to an area where the water was coming from.

"Make a crowbar," Kenshi said, "I gotta pry this open."

Momo created a crowbar, and Kenshi used it to pry up the manhole. The water was starting to drain down. Kenshi looked down.

"You are not seriously considering-" Momo said.

Kenshi jumped down.

"KENSHI!" Momo said.

She realized there was no stopping him, so she jumped down with him. Meanwhile in another spot in, Izuku was fighting off Nomus. One of them saw he was distracted and decided to strike. However as the Nomu lunged at Izuku, it was punched away by a fist glowing with green energy. This came from Ryu.

(Ryu Takeyama. Quirk: Dragon Chi. He can channel his chi to make his body stronger, and can also shoot projectiles. There are many other things he could do with his chi that we don't know about yet)

"Nice shot!" Izuku said.

"Thanks!" Ryu said, "Same with you."

Izuku saw a flying Nomu heading towards a family. He decided to put his new move to use. He channeled energy and focused on the Nomu. He then flicked his fingers, emitting a powerful blast of air, sending the Nomu away. This was his new move, Delaware Smash, Air Force! Someone clapped their hands. He turned around and saw the guy that had attacked the USJ. Only this time he didn't have a mask on.

"You've been busy my friend," he said.

"Tomura," Izuku said.
