Final Preparations
"…" Rintaro's eyes slowly blinked open and saw four figures standing above him, yet their appearance are still blurry.
"Ah! Good, you're awake!" One of the blurred people spoke in s relived tone of voice.
After a few more seconds of blinking his eyes, Rintaro can properly see the people in standing in front of him.
"…..Gha!" The wielder of Nagare exclaimed as he moved back slightly.
"You're the elves of the former Eye of the Midnight Sun!" Rintaro said in a surprise tone of voice before glancing over his shoulder and saw that he and everyone else and laying on sections of grass which are circled by vines with Secre and Fillion already awake and Mimosa herself slowly waking up.
The wielder of Nagare then glanced around.
"Where are we…..?" Rintaro asked in confusion as he stared at a vast open area circled by a forest.
"This place is filled with intensly concentrated Mana!" The wielder of Nagare thought as he notice few buildings as well.
"This is Elysia. It's a secluded area in a strong magic region located deep within the Heart Kingdom." Patry explained, making Rintaro blinked his eyes before glancing towards Fillion with a questioning look.
"What with that look? Queen Lolopechika knows about this settlement, me and Domi helped to build it and protect it from unwanted visitors." Fillion explained, making Rintaro, Secre and Mimosa to become surprise.
"So...they're awake." A male voice spoke, causing a smile smile appear to appear on Fillon's face.
"Hi, it's been a while." Fillion said as she stood up, yet shook slightly as her body felt tired.
Becoming confuse, Rintaro turned his head back around saw two children elves, one boy and one girl standing behind Patry with the girl having a curious expression on her face.
"Hello." Mimosa greeted with a warm smile on her face…..yet gain a strange feeling for some reason.
"Who are these children?" Secre asked, she having the feeling that she should know them…...or was it their Mana.
"These two are the descendants of the Clover Kingdom's Royal Family and the former leader of the elf tribe, Tetia and Licht." Fillion explained causing a stunned expression to appear on Secre's face whilst the others gained surprise expression to appear on their faces.
"…..Back then, after I immediately used my sealing magic to heal Lady Tetia's wounds and then raced to Prince Lumiere's side. When I woke up as a bird, many years had past. I didn't know what had become of Lady Tetia….." Secre thought before realizing something.
"Lady Tetia managed to survive the massacre and one of the twins she was carrying survived too." The Sword of Logos sealing Mage thought as she bit her lips, trying not to cry.
"…..What this about descendants…?" Leopold spoke in a disoriented tone of voice as he and the others began to wake up as well.
"These two are long distant relatives of ours." Mimosa responded whilst gesturing towards the two children elves, deciding on a more simple response.
Leopold's eyes widened as his notice the elves.
"Elves…...Wait, what?!" Leopold exclaimed, trying to understand what Mimosa just said.
"This is the elves's new village. When we learned of this place, we felt as if we knew why we'd remained in this era." Patry explained just as Fillion began to speak to the children elves, the both of them seemingly being more relaxed around the wielder(s) of Eien no Midori.
"Why did you saved us?" Mimosa asked, becoming confused.
"Dryad, the guardian deity of Elysia, sent is a divine revelation telling us to do so. We hurried, but failed to reach you in time. However, you had used your own powers to survive the explosions. Thanks to you, the Heart Kingdom's citizen were also spared. It's incredible that you faced such a powerful enemy and weren't annihilated. You certainly have grown since we last seen each other." Patry explained, causing some relief to appear on everyone's faces.
"…..Where are Noelle and Queen Lolopeckika?" Sebastian asked as he realized that two are missing.
The question cause Gahja to become tense.
"Dryad…..foresaw them being taken by the host of Megicula….." Patry responded, knowing the response is something that they didn't want to know.
"What?!" Gahja exclaimed as everyone else to become shock before turning their attention towards Mimosa and Secre with the Vermillion hair girl looking at the Sword of Logos sealing Mage who was looking at the ground with a sad expression on her face.
"Megicula…..she thought that Queen Lolopechika's knowledge will be of use for the Spade Kingdom whilst with Noelle…..she was keen on experimenting with Argent-Couronne due to how the sword is created through a different method than the other Holy Swords….." Secre explained in a sad tone.
"I shouldn't tell them about the history that Vanica and Megicula have with Noelle's mother." Secre thought, knowing that piece of information is personal.
"As if cursing Queen Lolopechika isn't enough….." Gahja muttered in a dark tone of voice whilst Rintaro clenched his fist tightly just as an idea appeared in his head.
"We need to get stronger…..much stronger….." Rintaro said, causing everyone to nod their heads in agreement.
"You already trained for six months and yet couldn't defeat them. What makes you think you could grow strong enough in such a short period of time?" Patry asked in a serious tone of voice.
"I know it won't be easy, but it's for our friends sake! And we're not giving up, not for a single second!" Rintaro responded in determined tone of voice.
"Yeah!" Everyone else shouted in agreement.
"You people are as much of a pain as ever." Ryha commented with a small smile on his face.
"In that case, you can get stronger. Using the elves's esoteric art….ultimate magic." Patry said a smile flickering on his face.
"-Now that it's done, after three days, we will attack the Spade Kingdom on an early morning….how about your side, Gahja?" Julius asked as he communicated with Gahja, the Wizard King and everyone else becoming surprised and relieved at the sudden contact.
"We will also join you. Will have started a training regime to build up our power with the elves. For the sake of the Heart Kingdom's dignity, we will retrieve our queen." Gahja explained, making Julius nod his head.
"Sir Julius." Secre spoke, causing Julius to perk up slightly.
"Yes. Is there something you want to discuss?" Julius asked, become curious.
When the Sword of Logos sealing Mage first saw the current condition of the Wizard King, she became surprise, but quickly calmed down due to the situation they are in.
"It's revolve around Noelle…...but for Captain Nozel's ears only." Secre responded, saying the last part in a firm tone of voice.
This cause everyone in the meeting room to become confuse before glancing towards Nozel and saw how the captain of the Silver Eagles has frozen slightly.
"Erh….should I know as well?" Ryo asked, raising an arm.
"I'm sorry, Vice-captain Ryo, but it's private information." Secre responded, causing Ryo to nod his head, whilst becoming a bit disappointed.
"Okay…..here you go, Nozel." Julius said as he passed the communication device to the captain of the Silver Eagles who started to make his way towards the side-room, starting to become nervous, inwardly sweating.
"Noelle has been kidnapped?!" Donna, Rin, Fiona and Tetsuo exclaimed at the same time, with the wielder of Sezume flinching slightly.
Currently, Ryo have returned to the Sword of Logos with Dämmerung and explained to group what happened during the meeting and the message that the received from the Heart Kingdom group.
"Yes. However, Secre didn't tell everyone else the condition that she's in, only just to captain Nozel." Ryo explained, causing everyone to become nervous.
"I know that the captain of the Silver Eagles is Noelle's brother, but Secre could have tell you something…." Rin commented whilst gaining a pout on her face.
"She said that it's private information, so there's isn't very much we can do." The wielder of Gekido responded whilst shrugging his shoulders slightly.
"So we got three days to make final preparations and then head into battle." Donna confirmed, making Ryo nod his head.
"That's correct. So all of you should train like crazy until then." Ryo responded, the response making grin to appear on Rin's.
"Hehehe. I can't wait for some payback." Liebe muttered with a dark grin on his face…..which was a bit strange since he's in his chibi form.
The comment caused everyone to become confuse.
"Why is that?" Fiona asked as she looked down at Liebe, the anti-magic Devil currently being held by her.
"…" Liebe became silent whilst becoming tense.
"It's primary because he basically got bullied by other Devils in the past." Dämmerung responded, causing everyone to become confuse whilst Liebe gain a frown on his face.
"The Underworld, the home of Devils, is a bleak and isolated place where the only form of enjoyment comes from toying with humans and picking on Devils who are weaker. Since Liebe possess no Mana what so ever, he'd practically got trampled on all of the time." Dämmerung explained, causing Liebe to flitch slightly.
"Seriously?! You wield anti-magic, that's something powerful when fighting against magic!" Rin exclaimed as she and everyone remember Bahato and his void magic.
The comment caused Liebe to snort slightly.
"Can you even tell that I have any sort of power in the first place?" Liebe questioned in half humour, half darkly.
"Well…...no." Rin admitted, making Liebe to snort again.
"So how come did you managed to enter the human world, through a Devil summoning ritual?" Fiona asked, causing Liebe to shake his head.
"Nah. When I was getting picked on one day, I pissed off a more powerful Devil who then picked me up and throw me towards the gate that separates the level of the Underworld to the human world. Instead of getting splattered against the gate, I slipped through and ended up in the Spade Kingdom." Liebe explained, making everyone surprise.
"Really? You just slipped through?" Donna asked, raising an eye-brow.
"Yeah, I suppose it's because I possess no Mana." Liebe responded, causing the wielder of Ikazuchi to nod her head slightly.
"So what happened when you arrived into the Spade Kingdom?" Rin asked, becoming interested in the story.
"I basically wondered about and, naturally, people became scared of my appearance and ran away. I eventually ended up in a Dungeon where a Devil was apparently sealed in and seemingly reacting to my presence, waking up and started to pick on me, calling me weakly and such. I eventually snapped and seemingly awaken my anti-magic which was effective against the Devil, disintegrating it's body. The entire thing was observed by soldiers of the Spade Kingdom who then took me back with them." Liebe explained, making Rin hum slightly.
"Liebe was then brought to my family, who held the responsibility of researching Devils for the royal family, and I basically adopted him." Dämmerung said, making everyone confuse.
"Why?" Tetsuo asked, kind of expecting Dämmerung to say how he performed a Devil Binding Ritual.
"I suppose that I wanted give Liebe freedom rather than forcing him to become a servant. The only reason why people were reluctant to accept my decision is because Liebe is more tamed than any other Devils." Dämmerung responded whilst scratching his cheek, causing the wielder of Sezume to sweat-drop slightly.
"So Liebe will be taking part in the battle then?" Donna asked, remembering how Liebe said how his anti-magic was able to disintegrate the Devil's body.
"Yes. It's pretty much been automatically agreed." Ryo responded, making the wielder of Ikazuchi to blink her eyes slightly.
"Speaking of which, when can I have Demon Racher back?" Liebe asked as he glanced towards Tetsuo, the wielder of Sezume having taken Demon Racher away earlier due to the similar design the sword has with some Holy Swords.
"I just need to perform a few more tests." Tetsuo responded, causing a small glare to appear on Liebe's face.
"You could have asked me or Dämmerung about what Demon Racher is capable of." Liebe pointed out in slight annoyance.
"There….could be features that you two weren't aware of…." Tetsuo responded….whilst avoiding eye-contact.
One of the features that Tetsuo discovered about Demon Racher is that it requires an external source of power to fill the blade, allowing the anti-magic to flow through it in the first place.
The response cause Liebe to glare more intensely.
"Liebe's so cute when glaring in his chibi form!" Fiona thought with an excited expression on her face.
"Why do I feel afraid of this girl for some reason?" Liebe thought, shivering slightly.
It was at that moment that Tetsuo remembered something.
"That's right. I want to test out some Magic Items during the next three days, to see if they are working properly." Tetsuo explained to Donna, Rin and Ryo, making the three of them to nod their heads.
"So the Spade Kingdom invasion will start in three days time." Master Logos commented, repeating the message that Reika received the from the Clover branch.
"That's correct, Master Logos." Reika responded before a thought appeared in her head.
"What should we do, Sir? What happens if the Devils somehow manage to crossover to Wonder World?" Reika asked, sounding concerned.
The question cause Master Logos to snort slightly.
"Are you doubting your skills, Miss Shindai? Even if Devils do manage to crossover into Wonder World, I'm certain you and the other branches will be able to handle the Devils." Master Logos responded in a reassuring tone of voice.
This cause Reika to nod her head slightly.
"Plus your brother has just finished his mission, so you may be able to see him during the battle." Master Logos explained, causing a smile to appear on Reika's face.
"So the final preparations are getting ready." Desast commented as he and Cupiditas stared down into a circular chamber where Yami and William are set in the middle, the two of them being placed with stone, where the two are surrounded by runes.
"Yep. 3 days until the gates of the Underworld will start to open and the Devils will start to pour through." Cupiditas responded in an excited tone of voice.
"Why are you excited?" Desast asked whilst raising an eye-brow.
"What? I seeing when people get consumed get their greed and desires and manage to complete them." Cupiditas responded in a dark tone of voice.
"Plus, it will help with a project of mine." Cupiditas added whilst starting to chuckle darkly.
"I forgot how dark of a character Cupiditas is. All I want is to fight." Desast thought before sighing.
"I wonder how they are doing?" The skull-face swordsman thought, becoming curious.
"What are you doing?" Zoous asked whilst raising an eye-brow.
Currently, the two remaining Megid generals are standing on top of a roof of the Spade Kingdom caste where Storious is written symbols within the air.
"What do you think? I'm just altering the ritual circle slightly." Storious responded whilst glancing over his shoulder.
"Any particular reason?" Zoous asked before shivering slightly.
"Why should the Devils just flood the four Kingdoms? Why not Wonder World as well?" Storious questioned with a dark smile on his face.
"Oh. I see-Ach!" Zoous began to respond but was interrupted as he sneezed.
"Hmmm. He should be around here….." Alyssa thought as she wandered around a forest where the ground is rocky.
"I knew that they are staying low, but why did it have to practically be in the middle in nowhere." Alyssa thought with a small frown on her face.
After walking past a few trees, the merchant came across a cave where a source of Mana can be felt.
"Could it be…?" Alyssa thought as she began to make her way towards the cave and when the merchant entered the cave, the temperature seems to be fluctuating as she walked further a small tunnel which then opened up.
"Asta!" Alyssa called, causing the temperature to immediately become level.
"Yeah?" A voice responded as the owner of the voice held a sword in his hands.
"War is about to break. You better get prepared." Alyssa explained, causing a smile to appear on Asta's face.
"It's about time. I was wondering when we're starting to move..." Asta commented before a small frown appeared on his face.
"Along with a...awkward reunion..." The wielding of Rekka thought, becoming anxious.
And there we go, everyone is making preparations for the upcoming invasion against the Spade Kingdom...along with a cameo appearance of Asta! The chapter also included Liebe's background, which is basically the same as canon but with him getting launched into the Spade Kingdom instead of the Clover Kingdom. With Tetia's and Licht's children, I'd decided to expand their introduction slightly, such as them knowing Fillion and Domi, because I felt that they were a last second insertion into the story before getting forgotten.
In Gavv:
1) Whilst Shoma and Sachika helped out at a construction site, the manager commented how people are seeing something large moving in the distance during the night. Back at Hapipara, Hanto appeared and asked Sachika about searching for the disappeared sweet shop before heading out with Shoma coming along. When Hanto and Shoma reached the spot where the sweet shop is supposed to be at, they just saw an empty spot, yet saw signs that something heavy has been dragged along the ground.
2) After some searching, along with the aid of Shoma's Gochizo, he and Hanto discovered that the sweet shop is now a kid's school. The two discovered Granute Yard boxing numerous Human Press before fighting him, with Shoma/Gavv using Bakucan assist. After the battle and rescuing the captured humans, Valen realized that he needs to aquire more Chocodon Gochizos in order to transform, which Shoma/Gavv willingly gave him some. With Kenzo, he is seen with a parcel before observing a video recording of the battle.
There isn't much to comment on about this episode apart from Kenzo being more suspicious, especially with the comment about the "Granute at base".
