Chapter 6

The next morning, wild Sara was preparing her morning tea when she heard Kael waking up and getting ready.

"Morning," says Kael, going outside with his sword.

After the tea was ready, Sara grabbed her cup and positioned herself outside, looking at the forest.

"Are you sure that's the best way to start the morning?" asked Sara, holding a cup of tea in her hand.

Kael stopped mid-swing and turned to her. "Sorry, it's muscle memory at this point. Did I make too much noise?"

"No, but don't get me wrong. That's not really a good way," she said, putting the cup of tea down on the table next to her. "You'll work your body, and your swings will get faster, but there's a better technique." She said.

"What is it?" he asked, with a curious face.

"From now on, you'll take my routine. First, a 2 km run through the forest, then work around the house," she responded after emptying the tea cup and placing it on the table.

"Do I have a choice?" he asked, with a scared face.

"No, are you ready? If so, let's go," she said, starting to walk.

Kael joined her, first walking, then jogging, then running. After approximately 650 meters, Kael stopped and was breathing heavily.

Sara turned back to him with a disappointed look. "So, this is your limit?"

"No... (Chasing breath) I was just resting a little," he responded.

"You'll do half of it for now," she said, crossing her arms. "Wait for me back at the cabin."

After that, Kael watched as she started jogging again. "Goddamn, I want your training back," he yelled in frustration, then started walking back.

After about 30 minutes, his surroundings started to warp, and he was welcomed by Sara's disappointed face. "You're late, too slow, tiring too fast."

Kael, still in shock of what had happened, was moments ago in the middle of the forest, 5 minutes from the house.

Sara, observing that Kael was still bewildered by what had happened, took a leisurely posture. "Here," she threw a broom at him, "Start cleaning the outside, and after that, start watering the plants."

"At least can you explain what happened?" he yelled in frustration.

She turned back to him. "Elf magic, nothing else, nothing more," she said, then went inside.

Kael started swiping in frustration. "Elf magic? What bullshit. She's not an elf, so that's not possible," he murmured in frustration. "This is slave-training, I swear. Why didn't I try to leave earlier?"

After he cleaned the outside, he took the sprinkler and started watering the plants.

"I'm going to hunt some food. Do you have a preference?" she yelled, checking her arrows.

"No, but why do you put me to water plants and you go have all the fun?" he responded.

"If you think hunting is fun, you've never done it. When I think you're ready, I'll send you to get me something," she said with a careful tone.

"So, you think I'm some kind of tracking dog?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"No, that will be Garfield," she responded with a smile. "You're not listening to what others say. Anyway, see you later."

After that, Kael started practicing with his sword, like he was trained by Garfield. Observing a ball of light getting closer, his first instinct was to swing at it. But instead of landing a hit, the light moved aside, and Kael fell face-first into the ground.

The ball of light sat triumphantly over him. After he picked himself up, the fight site on his shoulder started to emit a frequent sound, which you could call singing. Kael didn't mind it that much after that and continued his training.
