CH 18
When the limo stop at the Mare and foul statue lawn, the limo driver open the door for them. They all got out one by one till Pete was last to get out. He thank the driver as he put his hat on then his sward just like what the others have done.
They look around to see people every where. They walk over to talk to some of them then on to others. Buffer grin as he charge and swain walk over to where the Hammersley crew is.
"buffer mate, not to long now" ET said
"nope"
"How are you feeling" Mike asked
"I'm good thanks sir"
"you been waiting for this moment in a long time"
"Yes sir I have" Buffer talk to the crew and there families for a few minutes then he went to talk to other guests.
"Charge, Swain is buffer alright" Kate asked
Charge nudge his head so he, swain Kate and Mike walk over to a spot where they could talk quietly. Charge and Swain told Mike and Kate about what happen since that morning. Mike and Kate were shock when what they were told.
"No wounder he putting on a brave face" Mike said
"that will change soon mike"
"Meaning" he turn to Kate
"when he see Nikki"
"Your right" they talk for a few minutes then went back to where the Hammersley crew is.
Buffer spent almost an hour talking to some of the guests when Swain walk over to him "It time"
"Ok"
They turn and walk to where the other best men are while every one walk to where the chairs are set up. Pete smile at his mum since she up the front.
Then he saw three limos show up just as music started. He turn around and look out at sea while taking a deep breath. Swain and Charge were looking at the brides maids and Nikki when she and her dad got out of the limo. When they saw her, Buffer turn to look at charge and swain shock look. Charge turn to buffer
"you wouldn't think it was Nav, she doesn't even look like Nav but she is"
"Really"
"Yes" Then the music change.
Every one turn to see flower girls and page boys walking down the isle. Every one smile at them. When they reach the fronts, they walk over to where there parents are and sat down next to them. Then it was the brides maids that walk down the isle. Every one smile at them as they reach the front.
Then the music stop for a few seconds then it started the wedding march. Every one stood up and turn to see Andrew walking Nikki down the isle. She smile at every one but she notice Pete hasn't turn around yet till swain said some thing to him which cause him to turn around then stop frozen when he saw Nikki walking towards him then he started to smile.
He saw that she was wearing a ivory spaghetti strap with a scoop low neck line that flowed down to an A line skirt with a cathedral train. She was wearing a tiara and a vail which one was over her face down to below her breast line. She was wearing pearl earring and necklace and carrying white roses. When she stop next to him, Pete was still looking at her like he was in a trance.
"Pete"
"what, what" He look around to see every one chuckling at him then he turn back to her
"sorry" then he look at grinning Andrew as he put Nikki hand into Pete
"Look after her"
"Yes sir I will" then he turn and step forward and kiss Nikki on the check then he step back and gave the minster the nod
"Who gives this bride away to this man"
"I do" Andrew said
"Very well you all may be seated" then they sat down while Nikki and Pete were still looking at each other while smiling.
Then the minster started the wedding ceremony with soft music playing in the back round. Every heard and watch as Nikki and Pete say there wedding vows to each other.
When it came to the rings Nick stood up and step ford, he pass them to the minster then return to his seat. When it was over every one watch as Pete lifted the vail over Nikki head when he saw the tiara close up for the first time, it was a light green like a lime green and crystals. He look in to her eyes and raise his eye brows then he cup her face with his hands then kiss her.
She wrap her arms around him as the kiss deepen which cause number of chucked among every one. When they finaly broke apart they rest there foreheads together while not braking eye contact for number of minutes till the minster got there attention.
They pull back looking a bit embarrass. Then they walk over to the table to sign the marriage license. Once done and they return back to there spot while still holding hands when the minster said
"I'm prod to introduce to you all Mr and Mrs Peter and Nikki Tomaszewski" the music started as every one clap and cheer them on.
Nikki brides maid pass Nikki back her bouquet while swain pass Pete his hat so he could put it on. Then Nikki held onto his arm as they walk back down the isle while smiling to every one till they stop at the end when the Hammersley crew minus Swain and Charge and the women raise there swards on Mike order so it could create an arch.
once done they walk under it with the bridal party following then Pete mum who his uncle pushing the wheel chair and Nikki parents to follow When Pete and Nikki walk over to a spot, Nikki bride maid pass her, the train then she step back just as the guests walk over to congratulated them then move on.
Twenty minutes later there was number of photos taken including one of the whole Hammersley crew together. When it came to the parents. Vicky stood up for the wedding photos. One of the crew move the wheel chair away so it won't be in the photos.
When done every one started leaving to drive to the hotel while the bridal party got into the limo and they were taken to another part of the gardens to have more photos taken. When done the limos took them to the hotel. Pete and Nikki was in the bridal limo.
"Nikki you look beautiful, breath taking today"
"I could tell by the look on your face" she said snuggling up to his side
"You do even swain and charge look shock, charge said your wouldn't think it was Nav, she doesn't look like Nav but she is"
"charge said that"
"Yes"
"Well the whole crew sure look shock"
"Yes they were alright"
"I can't believe it Pete we finaly married"
"Yes we are" he lean over an kiss her.
"I saw Lisa and Karen" Nikki said
"I didn't"
"I know I shouldn't say it but I'm glad that they weren't in any photos"
"Why that"
"It what they were wearing Pete, I think what they were wearing was to tick you off after what happen today"
"what where they wearing"
"tight leather mini skirts, stockings, high heel shoes and strapless tops, heaps of make up"
"you telling me they came to our wedding dress like hookers"
"Yes" Pete got his phone out of his pocket and turn it on
"Pete what are you doing"
"Calling the captain" then he press captain phone number then put it against his ear
"sir it buffer, can you do some thing for me... great can you talk to hotel manager and tell him that there are two women who wearing leather mini skirts and strapless tops... they there" he turn to Nikki
"Sir they are my sisters... I know sir... there names was taken off the reception list... Lisa and Karen... No sir they ask mum for money so they could come to the wedding... no sir she didn't... yes we did, we call the manager Monday afternoon to give him the numbers and what names to cross off the list... yes sir there names were cross off... we are about ten minutes... yes sir... thank you sir" then he hung up
"He going to ask them to leave first if that doesn't work then he will get hotel security"
"Ok, that a good idea, so for now" she put her arm around his neck and pulled him down for a passionate kiss.
When they arrived at the hotel Nikki and Pete went up to the hotel room where he help her out of her wedding dress and in to a different one. When Pete pull the zip up and and put the hooks in place Nikki turn around and wrap her arms around his neck and kiss him.
"Ready to join the others"
"No"
"no" Nikki said
"I rather take this dress off and the others clothing"
"Ah you want to get started on baby department"
"Well yes"
"tonight, we will. We better go down stairs or other wise our bridal party plus Hammersley crew will coming looking for us" Pete smile
"I guest your right" he kiss her once more before leaving to head down stairs.
When they step out of the elevator they heard raise voices. Pete knew it was his sister causing a Sean. They walk over to a corner of the wall where Pete look around it then move back and turn to Nikki
"You were right about there clothing"
"Are the police there"
"Yes"
"Leave them to it"
she held onto his hand and pull him to a different direction so Pete sisters wouldn't see them. Nikki and Pete walk around another way till they reach the double doors where Pete opens it and let Nikki walk in first then he walk in behind her.
Some of the crew spotted them then Every one heard "Here the bride and groom you two took your sweet time in getting here" Spider said causing every one to laugh.
"Very funny spider" Pete said
as he and Nikki walk into close off bar since every one was having drinks and waitresses were walking around with trays of finger food. Every one was talking and laughing. Pete walk around till he saw his mum, so he walk over to her since she was talking to couple of the Hammersley crew.
She look up and smile "Peter, where Nikki"
"She around some where. How are you feeling" He asked as he sat down next to her
"I'm good. I saw Lisa and Karen"
"so did we, Nikki and I aren't happy with them and there choice of clothing today"
"I agree, they don't care and they shame our family"
"I know mum, I know"
"buffer we didn't know that they were your sisters when they were talking to us till captain came over and ask them to leave" RO said
"what happen"
"They said that they were invited and that they are your sisters. Captain said to them that they were only invited to the wedding and ask them to leave. They wouldn't, they went on say that they were invited and started causing a seen and the told captain to... where to go. So he turn around and walk out of the room. We didn't know what was going on till captain return with the manger and two security guards. Your sisters put up a fight against them we ended up helping taking them out of the room while they were yelling and scream. We held onto them till the cops arrived and they were put in to cuffs. Then we return back here while captain talk to the cops" RO said.
Buffer turn to his mum to see the sad look on her face so he put his hand into hers. She turn and look up at him
"don't worry about them mum, ok. You are here to share my special day. As for Lisa and Karen I'll deal with them tomorrow, alright"
"thanks Peter"
"Hey is every thing alright" they turn to the voice
"It is now beautiful come here" Pete pull Nikki onto his lap and kiss her.
"I heard what you said RO and thank you, both of you for helping the captain out"
"We did it for you and buffer Nav. After all it is your day"
"Yes it is" then she turn and lean forward putting her hand on top of Vicky
"Pete Right Vicky, you are here with the rest of our families and friends to finally see us get married and I know you were happy you were smiling at us, especially when Pete was miles away" Vicky grin
"Well I'm not surprise Nikki you look beautiful in your wedding dress, I notice you got the same but different dress on"
"Same up top but only three quarter skirt with out the train"
"i can see that"
"but you, you look amazing your self, you like Pete surprise"
"He full of them" Nikki laugh
"Yes I know, that one thing I love about him" she turn and kiss Pete once more.
"buffer, Nav" spider said.
They look to where he was looking at but couldn't see cause they were sitting down. Spider got Mike attention and pointed to Buffer and Nav. So he walk his way through the guests to where they are.
"buffer, Nav"
"sir, is every thing ok" Nav asked
"Yes, the police taken Lisa and Karen down to the police station. They will call you later buffer"
"thanks sir"
"no worries mate, you two just enjoy your day"
"We will sir" buffer said.
Then mike walk away leaving them to talk. Nikki and Pete talk to Vicky for another few more minutes before they stood up and went to talk to some others.
When it was time, every one walk into the main room soon as they know which table they going to be seated at. Once every one was seated. Mike was standing up where the DJ is
"Ladies and gentlemen please rise for the enter of the bride and groom" they all stood up and clap just as Pete and Nikki walk through the double doors arm in arm.
They walk over to the bridal table since the sun was starting to set in the back round. They sat down then every one else did then they all carry on talking.
Pete and Nikki got there brides maids and best men up at the table with the while the page boys and flower girls are with there parents and grand parents.
Waitresses walk though another door with two different bottles of wine and trays with there first course on it. While the waitresses where giving every one there first courses and drinks, the minster bless the food before every one got started on there first course.
Pete was looking over at his mum every now and then. She was at table with Nichole, Andrew, Nick and Vicky brother who flew in from New Zealand for the wedding. Nikki notice what Pete been doing so she put her hand on top of his.
He turn to her "she fine, she enjoying her self and so should you"
"I do worry about her"
"I know you do, but don't worry, as you can see she in good hands. Like father like son" Nikki said smiling.
Pete turn to see Nick get up from his chair and walk over to a waitress with a empty glass in hand he spoke to her and handed the glass over, she said some thing to him then he return back to his seat and said some thing to Vicky which made her smile then the waitress walk over with glass of wine and put it on the table in front of Vicky then she turn and talk to the others from the table before returning back to where she was before.
Pete turn to Nikki "your right"
"Now relax and have some fun" he lean over and whisper in her ear
"Oh I will have fun later tonight" then he kiss her neck before moving back to look at her while grinning.
"I know you will"
They talk to there brides maids and best men for the next half an hour while enjoying there first course. When it was over it was time for the thank you speeches from Pete and Nikki plus the toast to the bridal party. Swain who is Pete best man share with every one how they met as well share couple of stories which have every one laughing. Then he share the day he met Nikki and how he notice she was looking at Pete.
"When I notice the look on both of there face it like they knew each other and they were checking each other out" Causing every one to laugh.
"but little did I or the crew know about there past. We were all shock when they share with the crew about how they met, Nav having Nick and not knowing where buffer is till that fatefully day when she is our..." he turn to charge
"how many" Swain asked
"fifteen I think or was it twenty" He said in the microphone that was in swain hand.
Then he turn back to every one "Even charge can't remember how many navigators Hammersley been through" every one laugh
"till Nav join our crew and we all wondering how long she going to last. Well she out lasted all the others just like with our XO's isn't that right sir" Causing Hammersley crew to laugh.
"Well we all know who to thank for getting Nav and buffer back together. It was captain and XO. If it wasn't for them and commander Marshall we would of gone though who knows how many navigators by now" they laugh
"But thanks to three officers, Buffer and Nav have finally found each other again and finally tie the knot. On behalf of the bridal party and every one here. We wish you both years of happiness. Please raise your glasses" they all raise there glasses
"to the bride and groom"
"Bride and groom" every one said then they took a sip of there drinks just as Swain sat down just as Pete stood up and swain pass him the microphone.
"Before we have messages to the ones who not here today, there is some thing that I would like to share with you all. Nikki and I talk about it and we decided to share this with you all." He said looking around the room.
"the reason why Nikki and I choice this date for our wedding was because... ten years ago today is when I first met midshipmen Nikki Caetano, I was just promoted to able seamen just a week earlier. When I first saw her, I was drawn to her. I could tell she was embarrassed cause she couldn't find her ID card till I saw it on the ground. So I pick it up and said to her "Here you go ma'am you don't want to lose it again... she turn around and went to say some thing when she froze when she look at me then the thank me as she took her Id out of my hand. Once we clear to go through I manage to talk to her finding out what ship she was on. Just small talk. It was a start. Even through I only meet her, I ask her out for a coffee when both ships were in port, she agree so I gave her my phone number. We had coffee a month later and our lives change for the both of us not only back then, but now. Plus since it been ten years, there is some thing I want to give to you Nikki" he said looking at her as he pulled out a box and open it just as Nikki stood up and look at it
"i had this specially made, it a anniversary ring. Each of the five stones is how many dates we went on before I ask you to be my girl friend, do you remember" Nikki smile as she nodded.
He took the ring out of the box and slip it onto her ring finger. She then hug and kiss him. Every one clap as they watch Nikki and Pete hug and kiss.
"i love you" Pete said
"i love you to" they kiss once more.
Then they sat down when Pete turn the mic off before putting it on the table. Nikki look at her ring then look at Pete
"what design is this?" Peter look at it then to Nikki
"there five point twenty five carrot diamonds, the setting design is scolloped"
"scolloped" then she smile
"It reminds me of when we had scollops when you ask me to be your girlfriend" Nikki said
"Yes. As you can see it set in white gold band, I hope you like it" Nikki turn in her chair and cup his face
"i love it Pete and I know every time I look at it it will remind me of that special night" she said smiling at him
"Yes I remember that night and the whole weekend, we never left my apartment" Nikki giggle
"Yes I remember, it was our first time"
"Yes it was" they lean forward and kiss.
Then they turn when they listen to the messages from the ones who couldn't make it. When all the messages were read out the waitress showed up with there second course. Every one enjoyed there dinner and drinks. Nikki showed her brides maids the eternity ring.
After second course it was time for speeches. Nikki and Pete weren't looking ford to that part they they going to wait and see who say what. First it was Nikki parents, then it was Vicky she share a couple of stories about Pete which had every one laughing. Then it was other family members who share a story or two about Nikki or Pete.
Then it was the Hammersley crew turn. They share about how they meet Nikki and Pete as well told a story about them which cause every one to laugh. Since it was dark out side beside the lights coming off the sea. Every one was laughing about one thing or another. Then it was mike and Kate turn. They share couple of stories about buffer and Nikki which had every one laughing.
