CH 35
When Bendigo was close to port Pete use the EDO to zone on to the person who on the wharf. He smile when he saw her there. When Bendigo dock, Pete went and got change and pack his bag then he said his good bye to the crew before walking off the ship and into Nikki arms where they hug and kiss
"Miss you" Nikki said smiling
"miss you to and I can taste strawberry milk shake"
"your right I have one on the way here"
"Ah, so how is she" he asked as he put his hand onto her expanding stomach
"she good"
"Just like her mother" he kiss her once more then he put his arm around her shoulder and she put hers around his waist as they walk along the docks
"Hey that Hammersley coming in" Nikki said
"Yes it is, they were towing a pleasure craft back"
"Ah so you want to join the crew tonight"
"nope tomorrow night, I already spoke to the captain and crew under stands"
"you told them we got plans tonight" Pete grin
"Yes"
"Oh we got plans alright"
"Nikki"
"when we get home" she said smiling
"Are you ok"
"Yes, it the horny stage I'm going through" Pete grin
"i can help you with that stage"
"I know you can"
On Hammersley spider zoom onto Pete and Nikki as they walk along the wharf
"Hey there buffer and Nav" spider said. Some of the crew walk over to where spider is
"wow she getting bigger" ET said
"At least she happy" Kate said
"True" flipper said.
When Pete and Nikki arrived home Pete went to have a long hot shower. Nikki decided to join him. He smile when he saw her walk into the shower closing the door behind her. He look her up and down then he pull her towards him and kiss her.
"Your in trouble now" Pete said
"Oh what trouble is that" he kiss her and made slow passionate love to her while in the shower. Then after wards they got out and dress
"how are you feeling" Pete asked her
"good, hungry, you"
"good"
Once they were dress, they went out and enjoyed dinner since Nikki book in the restaurant after talking to Pete few days earlier. They enjoyed them selves then after wards they return home and went to bed where they made love once again before Pete snuggled up to Nikki back and having one hand on her stomach feeling there daughter move about under it as he drifted off to sleep.
The next day while Nikki was at work, Pete went next door to help Heidi and tom out while kids were at school and day care. That night, Nikki, Pete and Nick arrived at the pub after they had dinner at hungry jacks. Pete went and got them a drink then they walk out side to where the crew is
"buffer, Nav" the crew called out as they cheered
"you guy look partly drunk" Pete said as they sat down
"We been waiting for you guys to show up" charge said
"Well we are here" Nikki said They talk and laugh for over an hour before Pete, Nikki and Nick had to leave
"come on mate stay" Charge asked
"Sorry guys, Nikki tired and it pass Nick bed time. You all enjoy your shore leave and see you back on Hammersley next week"
"We under stand, night you guys" Kate said then they walk towards the steps as they all said there good byes to the crew. The crew enjoyed there week shore leave.
The day Hammersley left for it patrol they welcome Pete back. They were going away for two weeks patrol. When they return Pete join the guys for a drink before going home. When he left the pub he notice a guy wearing Russian forces tattoo so he follow him to where the guy was meeting up with others.
Pete manage to get close to take photos of them and the container numbers. Then he try to contact Hammersley when he saw two guys walking his direction so he had no choice but to hide in one of the containers. He try to call Hammersley but there was no signal so he had no choice but to wait knowing that Nikki would be worried and would call the crew.
He heard noises and container moving for couple of minutes then it stop when he felt a thump then he heard more voices so he got his cell phone out and got it all set up so when they open the door to get a box out Pete check the signal then sent it just before the door close he saw that the message was sent. So he knew all he can do is wait.
Nikki was at home talking To Nick who was doing his home work at the breakfast bar while she was cooking dinner when her cell phone rings So she pull it out of her pocket
"It from Pete" then she click on to it, when it open up she notice it was photos and message
"Oh my god" then she walk over and pick up the phone to make a call
"Hello Kate, it Nikki I need to talk to the captain... hello sir, sorry if I was interrupting you rest sir... It Pete I received a text message from him... Ray Walsmen has got some of his men here in Cairns... he sent photos to my cell phone... of the men including one with the tattoo...and looks like container numbers... yes and a message... Meeting Walsmen in secret location contact captain, sorry about dinner, love Pete... sure I'll met you there... yes sir" then she hug up
"mum what going on, is dad in trouble"
"maybe, go an pack an over night bag, I'll call Heidi"
"Ok" Nick pick up his things while Nikki called her sister in law while turn the stove off then she went and got change back into her uniform.
Then she walk Nick to next door and spoke to Heidi fro a minute before returning back home then leaving in her car to NAVCOM, while she send a text to swain knowing he would tell the guys and hopefully none of them are drunk.
When Nikki arrived at NAVCOM she walk strait up and into the ball pen and into Steve office when she saw Mike and Kate there.
"Lieutenant are you sure about the text message"
"Yes sir" she pass him a pen drive
"I down loaded them on to here. One photo clearly shows the tattoo sir"
Steve put the pen drive into his lap top and click on to the icon then he enlarge the photo of the tattoo and turn the lap top around for Mike and Kate to see
"that is Russian special forces tattoo alright" Mike said.
Then Steve click onto the X for the page to disappear then he click onto the next one and the next including the message.
"I'll get these container numbers check out, have you call your husband lieutenant"
"i have but it keeps going to voice mail only means that he must be in one of those containers if that the case sir no signal"
"then how did he mange to send you a text message" mike asked
"My guest is he must of sent it before they close and lock the doors"
"then he could be any where" Kate said
"Samurai island" Nikki said
"You might be right Nav, Steve"
"I'll order crash sail"
"Thanks Steve, don't worry Nav we will find him"
"I know you will sir... I know how you can find him"
"how" Kate asked
"His new phone I got him for Christmas last year it got a tracking device in it, while there still power it the tracking device would be still active" Nikki said
"I'll call the telephone company, what is his phone number lieutenant"
Nikki step forward and pick up a pen and wrote down Pete phone number and pass it to Steve
"Thanks, you done all you can lieutenant, you can return home"
"Yes sir" then she turn to Mike and Kate
"don't worry Nav we will get him back"
"thank you sir" then she turn around and walk out of Steve office
while Steve, mike and Kate talk for couple more minutes before they left to return back to Hammersley. The crew wasn't happy that they been crash sailed till Mike told the crew over the PA system about what happen to Pete so they would under stand.
Early the next morning Kate cell phone rings so she rolled over and pick it up and look at it then she quickly got up and ran out of her cabin and down and into mike
"Mike" she walk over and turn the lamp on which woke him up
"Kate you know the rules" when he saw what she was wearing
"buffer sent me a text , it more photos" she bend over as he sat up and she show him the photos
"That one of Ray Walsmen boats"
"Yes and this message" she show him the message
"Ok go and get dress I'll call Steve"
"ok" then she turn around and walk out of mike cabin while he got up and dress then he called Steve to give him the latest on Pete.
Pete he was in the container for along time and was busting to pee when he felt the barge stop and the engines turn off then he waited. When the doors open he saw them move some of the large crates out of container so Pete move from where he was and check to see it was clear when he rain off the boat and over to a fallen tree where he hid behind it.
He got his phone out and saw there was only two bars so he took photo of the barge and message then sent it. When it came back that it was sent, he watch and waited when more men showed up so he took photo and sent it then he did it few more times before the barge left so he took a photo of it showing which direction it was going.
then he went to follow the group after he releave him self and got two long sticks and put it in the sand in shape of an X then he took a photo of it and sent it then he went after the group.
Kate was up on the bridge when her cell phone rang so she got it out of her pocket to see who it from
"It buffer" the crew look at her as she click onto the message to see it was a photo
"Sir" she show him the photo just as the sat phone rings so RO answer it just as Kate phone rings once again, it was another photo from buffer.
"Here another one, my gosh there at lest twenty arm men in this photo" Kate said as she show mike
"there no way we can get them on our own"
"I know"
"sir, message from commander Marshal he got us a location on where buffer is" he pass piece of paper to mike who pass it to Kate.
She walk over to the map on the computer and type in the concordats "He here sir" Kate said when a red dot appeared, Mike walk over and saw where it is
"Ok take both HRIBS, double plated"
"Yes sir" She pass him her cell phone
"Just in case" Kate said then she turn and walk off the bridge while Mike walk over and pick up microphone to call hands to boarding stations. Then he return back to his seat.
Buffer follow the group while leaving markers in areas where the crew can find them till he reach the camp. He took number of photos including couple with Ray Walsmen in them then he use the camera part of his phone to record what he could then he turn around to sneak away when one of the men spotted him and yell out.
Pete turn around when he saw three of the men went after him so he ran till he came to an area where he hid the phone then ran another direction where they caught him. They tie his hands up and took him back to there camp.
When Ray recognized Pete so he got one of his men to take Pete to a spot where he got to dig his own grave before the guy kills him. so the guy took him through the jungle till they stop at a clearing so the guy made Pete start digging. Lucky It was close to where he hid the cell phone.
When the shore party were going up the river Mike contacted Kate "X, look at the sand bank look for sticks in the sand cross over together making it an X"
"copy that sir" then she turn to the crew
"ok keep a look out" They look both sides of the river
"X there" spider said pointing to where the X is
"Ok let go" both HRIBS landed on the beach
"Charlie eight two we found the X"
"copy that, buffer send more photos,look out... stand by" they waited
"X Steve Called, buffer cell phone stop moving, it about half mile in from where you are"
"copy that concordant" Mike read out the numbers while Kate wrote it down since she carry GPS with her
"copy that Charlie eight two out" then she turn to the crew
"Let go Buffer in trouble" then thy walk into the bushes following foot prints.
Kate look at the GPS so she knows they heading the right direction. Till she gave them hand signals so they went off the track till they stop when they heard noses so they spread out and step forward.
They saw Pete and one guy holding a gun on Pete. Pete stop to wipe his brow with his Tee shirt when he saw spider so he move his fingers letting spider know he saw him
"X, buffer saw me" spider said over his radio
"copy that" then Kate give out the orders so they surround that area.
Kate step forward raising her gun to the back of the guy "Austrian navy drop your weapon"
He turn around to go and hit Kate when he saw two others pointing there guns at him he stop the gun and swain step forward putting ties on his hands while ET and Spider help buffer out of the pit. Spider pass him bottle water
"thanks" He drank some of it and pour some of it over his head.
"Buffer are you ok"
"Yes X, I am. Good news I got all the proof that captain will be happy about"
"You do"
"Oh yes"
He bend over to pick up his top then walk over to where he hid the phone then walk back over to Kate showing her his phone.
"Plus when I return I'm going to give Nikki a big kiss, big bunch of roses and different white chocolates"
"Buffer there only one white chocolate" spider said
"yes on the out side but on the in side there are different ones"
"Oh" Kate let mike know that they found buffer.
"Where the camp" Kate asked
"It would be empty by now X, since Walsmen reconsigned me and told the others to pack up just in case you guys showed up. let go home and ask the captain to ask commander Marshal not to let Nikki know"
"you want to surprise her"
"Yes I do"
"Sure" Kate relay buffer message which made mike smile.
When they return to Hammersley buffer pass phone to RO so he could get copies of every thing while he went and have a shower to freshen up then went to see the captain who just hung up the phone
"Welcome back buffer"
"thank you sir"
"Steve got all the photos and recording you made, you did good but next time call for back up or call me"
"i will sir"
"And he said he won't let Nav know"
"Thanks you sir, lets go home"
"Good idea, X pilot a course for home"
"Yes sir"
When they arrived back in port, a car was waiting to take mike, Kate and buffer to NAVCOM. When they arrived there Buffer smile when he saw walking towards him
"Heidi thank you for getting them for me"
"your welcome. You going to need them"
"I know, you don't mid having Nick with you tonight" Heidi smile
"Of course not Pete"
"Thanks, I better go"
"good luck"
"Thanks" then he turn around to grinning Mike and Kate.
They walk into NAVCOM and up and into the ball pen. Pete saw where Nikki is and walk over to her. Kate got her phone out as she and mike follow Pete. Pete stop and clear his throat
"Yes" Nikki said as she turn around and stood up
"Can I help you sir"
"don't be up set with me" he move the roses away from his face. Nikki look at him in shock
"Pete" she then hug him the best she could so he hug and kiss her in front of every one.
"You alive, are you ok"
"Yes I am" then she saw the roses
"oh Pete, I love them" then she kiss him once more.
He put them on the table and pass her a bag. She open it up and look what in the bag then to Pete
"I love them" she put them on the desk then kiss Pete once more
"Thank you"
"so I'm not in trouble for being late for dinner"
"no commander Marshes told me you been sending evidence to Kate"
"yes I have" She turn to grinning mike and Kate
"Why didn't you tell me you found him sir"
"I ask him not to, I was going to surprise you" Nikki turn to Pete where he cup her face and kiss her
"that cell phone you got me last year save my life and there enough evidence to arrest Ray Walsmen"
"you got the evidence"
"yes I did"
"that is great news"
"Look commander Marshal want to see me, by then you would be finish here for the day so I can go home with you"
"sounds good, what about Nick" Pete lean ford and whisper in her ear which cause her to blush and giggle then he step back to see him smiling and giving her a wink
"enjoy the chocolates"
"Oh I will" Pete turn to Kate and Mikes
"X you didn't record what just happen"
"May be" Pete shook his head as he walk towards Steve office with Kate and mike behind him.
