Flipper who just return home after being at the gym when her cell phone rings so she got it out of her pocket to answer it
"Hello Mackenzie Fisher... yes doctor... sure give me an hour... ok thanks" then she hung up.
"Mac" she turn to see her grand mother in the door way
"Every thing ok"
"Yes that was the doctor Taylor, she wanted to see me"
"Is it to do with your father"
"I don't know grandma"
she walk out of the room and down to her bedroom where she sorted her bag out then went to have some breakfast before going to the hospital. When she arrived there she saw doctor Taylor talking to a man so she sat down and waited when she heard them talking.
"Doctor what are the results"
"I'm sorry Stewart, no match"
"what for who Ryan or Patrick"
"both"
"But I though there would be a high change with one or both"
"so did I, I'm sorry Stewart"
"So what happens now" Doctor turn to flipper who stood up. Then she turn to Stewart
"I have found some one" Stewart turn to flipper who step forward.
Stewart was shock then he turn to the doctor "Are you sure"
"eighty five percent. It better than nothing. Stewart White, Mackenzie Fisher your donor" She said smiling they shook hands.
"hi nice to met you Mackenzie"
"Call me Mac."
"Mac, thank you so much, you don't know what it means to me"
"there more" doctor said.
He turn to the doctor "More"
"Yes, come with me and I'll explain" when she saw people walking into the waiting area.
They follow the doctor down to her office where they sat down. "Stewart, Mac here is your niece"
"My what" he said in shock then he turn to Mac.
"Stewart do you know who you father is, your biological father is"
"no, my mum told me he was a solider during Vietnam war. Is he your father"
"Grand father" Stewart look at Mac confuse
"what I'm confuse"
"Your father is my grand father. My mum is your half sister" Stewart look at Mac in shock.
"I'll leave you two to talk" the doctor said before she walk out of her office closing the door.
"I have a sister"
"Mum past away few years ago from a car accident"
"I'm sorry for your loss"
"thank you. I'll tell you what I do know, ok"
"Sure"
Mac tells Stewart every thing that she knows from her grand father. Stewart ask Mac number of questions which she was able to answer.
"i got no other family, mum got married when I was five and the guy adopted me after they were married. They didn't have any kids. My mum past away last year"
"I'm sorry for your loss"
"she had cancer... the same cancer that I got. That how I found out that I got the same disease as she got"
"you were hoping that one of your sons would be a match"
"Yes but none of them are. Which is strange, both the doctor and I thought that one or both will be a match" Mac reach over and put her hand in his
"now you have a match, have you got photos of your sons"
"sure" he got his wallet out and pull out photo of the boys, he show Mac them.
She smile when she saw the photo then she notice some thing about the boys but didn't say a thing, "Nice looking young boys" she pass it back
"Yes they are" he put the photo back in to his wallet and put it back in his back pocket.
"question why couldn't your grand father come down for the test"
"Cause they already got his DNA in the system that how doctor Taylor found your match. But told me"
"why you and not your grand father"
"Cause I'm looking for my dad" then the door open
"sorry, doctor wanted some thing from her computer" Then tec walk over and did some typing then printed out what she needed then walk out closing the door.
"Have you found him"
"doctor Taylor is close, there is two DNA match in the system, father and son. But it was the percentage that got her interested, she said that the son is closer but she thinks if he got a son then he would be my father"
"that great news isn't it"
"i hope so, all I know is that he in the navy I don't know if he still is or not"
"ok, I better get going, I got an appoint in half an hour" they stood up. Mac got a card out of her purse and pass it to him
"Call me, I got another five days shore leave before leaving for my next patrol"
"sure what ship are you on"
"Hammersley" he look at her in shock
"your on Hammersley"
"yes why"
"Mike Flynn"
"Yes he station at NAVCOM he start there next week, you know him and his wife"
"wife, I didn't know he was married"
"Yes lieutenant Kate McGregor, sounds like there a lot you don't know, how do you know him"
"He went through ADFA with my ex wife, he god father to my two sons" Mac smile
"Really well why don't you give him a call"
"thanks I will and I will give you a call" they both hug
"ok" then he walk to the door and open it and walk out closing the door behind him.
Mac sat down while thinking. When the door open. She turn to see Doctor Taylor walk in.
"Every thing ok"
"Yeah, you said you got some good news for me"
"Yes I do I got a DNA match. I know who your father is" Flipper smile
"that great who is he" doctor open her file and pulled out folded sheet of paper and pass it to Flipper.
"when you are ready" then she stood up and walk to the door.
"Doctor Taylor" she stop and turn to Flipper
"Yes"
"Can you do some thing for me"
"what that"
"Can you do a DNA match for commander Mike Flynn and Ryan and Patrick white" Doctor was shock
"Why did you ask me to do that for"
"Stewart show me a photo of Ryan and Patrick. They look like commander Flynn, same hair, Ryan got his eyes, Patrick got his nose and chin but they both got his smile. I think that is why Stewart wasn't a match cause he not there biological father."
"I'll see what I can do but what ever the results are, I can't tell you"
"I under stand"
She stood up and follow the doctor out the door and down to the waiting area is where they said there good byes before Flipper walk out the door as she gets her phone out and made a call
"Hey miss you... I've met him...Stewart white... where are you... your here, can you met me down at the park... yes that one... you are in for a shock Dylan... ok see you soon...why not, ok" then they hung up.
Mac got into her car and drove down to the park. Where she got there she got out and walk over to park bench and waited. When Dylan arrived in Flipper grand parents car, he got the boys out and then he close and lock the doors.
Then he and the boys walk into the park till they saw where flipper is so they ran over to where she is. She smile when she saw her sons running to her.
When they reach her, she gave them a hug. "Why don't you to go and play"
"Ok mummy" they said then turn and ran over to play on kids slides and other play things. Dylan walk over and sat down next to her and put his arm around her then kiss her.
"Mac" She pulled out the folded piece of paper and show him
"I want you with me when I unfold this Dylan" she said while looking at him
"Ok I know you been waiting for a long time for this"
"I know" then she took a deep breath and unfolded it and read what it said
"Oh my god" Mac said in shock. Dylan was was reading it at the same time
"your not kidding Mac, he your father"
"Yeah, I'm shock"
"Same here" Dylan said She look at the paper the whole time
"Ninety eight percent" she said.
"what are you going to do" She turn to Dylan
"I'm not sure yet, trying to get over the shock first"
"Are you going to tell him"
"One day but not now."
"Ok what ever you decided I'll be there for you" she smile and lean over and kiss him.
"What are you doing here I thought you were in Sydney?"
"Same here I'm back here for a month, I'm posted temporary one one of the patrol boats but I won't know till Thursday why" She turn to him in shock
"I think your buffer temporary replacement, we got a month patrol he on maturity leave" Dylan look at her in shock
"Are you sure"
"Yeah" then she smile
"Crew going to be shock"
"Yes they will"
"I wounder how many other shocking surprises there are" she said smiling.
"Mac I know that look" she turn to see there sons playing happily so she turn to Dylan.
"Dylan what I'm about to tell you, don't tell any one" Dylan look at her with a worried look.

"I over heard Stewart talking to the doctor, he had his two sons tested, no match"
"Perhaps they got there mother blood, that happens" she put her hand on his lap
"no match" Dylan thought about it and look at her in shock

"no but I'm ninety percent sure I know who is there father"
"Who and how would you know"
"mike Flynn"
"your joking but how"
"I' don't have all the pieces of the puzzle yet but Stewart did show me a photo of the boys. They got Mike hair. Ryan the older boy got his eyes, Patrick he got mike nose and chin and they both got his smile"
"If your right this would shock His whole family"
"Yes it would"
"so what are you going to do?"
"do some checking out, but for now all I want to do is spend it with you and our sons" Dylan smile
"that a great plan Mac" they turn to see there sons playing happily.
On Wednesday morning Pete walk into Nikki hospital room to see her dress. "Hey ready to get out of here" He said smiling
"sure am" Pete walk over and wrap his arms around Nikki and kiss her.
"It would be great to have you and Vicky home"
"Same here" he turn to see Vicky sleeping
"how long has she been sleeping for"
"About ten minutes" Pete turn to Nikki
"how are you feeling"
"sore but that is to be expected. But it is getting better"
"Is it"
"Yes and when it is" she pull him down for a passionate kiss while smiling
"Mmm I like the way you think"
"so do I, come on let's go home" Nikki said
"Why not"
Pete pick up a bag with one hand and baby car seat with the other while Nikki pick up the baby bag before leaving since Pete took all of Vicky gifts home from Pete last two visits. They walk out together saying there good byes to the staff along the way.
"Pete tomorrow..."
"You going to be resting you heard what the doctor said"
"Yes I do and I will cause I know you will look after us" Pete smile
"To right I am"
"I was thinking why don't we show up on the wharf tomorrow morning before Hammersley leaves for it month patrol"
"tomorrow morning"
"Yes"
"Why not, at least we will know who the new captain will be"
"True and we can tell the crew the date of Vicky christening" Pete smile

The next morning Mike and Kate walk into NAVCOM together, they talk the whole time.
Mike showed Kate his new office "so what do you think"
"It need curtains" mike chuckled.
"a month apart"
"We can do it"
"Yes we can, so shall we" mike said
"Yeah"
"don't worry Kate"
"I do Mike"
"Well don't be ok"
"Ok" they walk out of mike office and around and into the ball pen then into Maxine office
"Mike" Maxine said smiling as she stood up and walk around the desk to give him a hug

"how are you mike"
"I'm good thanks. Commander Maxine White lieutenant Kate McGregor"
"Ma'am" Kate said
"Lieutenant, why are you here"
"Maxine, lieutenant here is the XO on Hammersley"
"Ah right" she gave Kate a fake smile which mike and Kate notice.
"Who the new captain" mike asked as they all sat down
"He's name is lieutenant commander Bruce Bullier" Maxine said picking up a file and passing it to Mike to read.
Maxine notice Mike move his chair closer to Kate and move the file toward her so she could read it as well. She pointed to couple things on file which cause mike to nod.
"I see he just return from his tour over sea ma'am" Kate said
"Yes he done his tour"
"He never been on a patrol boat before" Mike said when he saw the list of ships the lieutenant commander been on.
"no it his first time"
"Ok" mike said Mike point to one part of the sheet then turn to see Kate nodded. Then he close the file and put it back onto Maxine desk.
"mike do you always show the lieutenant every file that captain Marshal gives to you"
"Yes. Steve got use to X and me reading files together at the same time as you just saw"
"Well you can't do that any more"
"Well that is some thing that X and I will have to get use to"
"sir" mike turn to Kate then he turn around to see a man in uniform looking at them.
Maxine turn to see who they were looking at so she stood up as she wave the man to walk in to her office and saluted the three of them which they did in return.
Mike and Kate stood up. "lieutenant commander Bullier this is commander Flynn, my right hand man and lieutenant McGregor, XO on Hammersley"
"sir" Kate said
"Lieutenant" they shook hands then he shook mike hand.
"Welcome to NAVCOM" Mike said
"thank you sir"
"Right down to business" they talk for fifteen minutes before the four of them walk out of Maxine office and out of NAVCOM. They got into two cars and drove to where Hammersley is.
