September 10th dear diary today I turned 12 and you were one of my gifts I celebrated with a movie party held for my best Friend Susie as she is 2 days older then me. After the show her family and mine which is my mom dad and 3 sisters Elsie is 9 Emma is 7 and the newest addition to our family is Clara Ann age 3. she was adopted just after I turned 9 and is deaf she like the other 2 is from China. We found out just 2 weeks ago that mom is expecting twins in march but will probably end up having them in late December or early January. Due to a condition she has that makes her have trouble staying pregnant. My cousin Christine is still the nanny for the other girls, she now has a partner his name is Daniel they bowl on the same team and love each other very much. We moved to the country house when I was 8 as its nicer out here and better for all of us. The rest of the gang live on land around here as well. Signing off mom made me my favorite cake for dessert.
September 11th dear diary today was a very bad sad scary day in our country. From how I understand whats going on these dumb ass excuse my language men hijacked 4 planes 2 hit the world trade center one hit the pentagon and one crashed into a field in Pennsylvania. This is an extremely bad thing and since we got home I have been watching the news nonstop. I am with the group in our basement while the little kids are upstairs away from all this. Signing off I suspect I have an ear infection and or a sinus infection and am emotionally drained.
September 13th dear diary sorry I didn't write yesterday as I suspected I have an ear and sinus infection. And as of today we are at war with 2 or 3 other countries. This is an incredibly scary situation as in my family my 21 year old cousin Robert has been called up with the navy, Kai and Kya's brother and Cousin with the air force, Susie's brothers with the army and military, Tommy's cousin with the army. Alex found out his cousin has been called up with the air force. This will be an extremely difficult time for all of us.
We all went with our parents or guardians to help out at a blood drive in our area we handed out cookies drinks and snacks as people finished. We heard several people talking about people they know or knew who were in the various places. Mom finally heard from one of her friends she has a badly broken left leg and broke her right shoulder but will eventually be OK. Chuckie's family heard from his uncle his cousin is going to be OK eventually as well she broke 3 ribs her back in 2 places and her left arm badly. I need to go study for my history and math tests so I better sign off.
September 14th dear diary today we celebrated my cousin Christine's 31st birthday. She got so many amazing things and diary Daniel proposed and she said yes. Her mom met him about a month ago and gave her permission. This is such an amazing thing for both of them as it shows their independence. We celebrated this with a huge Italian feast including all her favorites the ring was on top of the frosting for the cake. Well I need to help mom put the younger 3 to bed as they are all wound up and struggling to settle down.
September 20th dear diary sorry for not writing its been the bad kind of bananas around here for the last 5 and a half days. First I am currently in a thumb Spica splint I tore all the ligaments in my thumb when mom accidentally closed the van door on it. Then Elsie and Emma came down with strep and Clara has a very bad double ear infection. Add to this mom badly twisting her knee and having to use a wheelchair as she cant weight bare, and dad is on antibiotics for a nasty sinus infection. This is not going to be an easy couple weeks will write as soon as I can.
October 1st after 11 days all but mom and I are completely back to normal but Christine has now joined the injured ladies club she broke her wrist falling down the steps of their house. And dads niece Madeline and her fiance Ian have moved here they live in the top apartment of our little community house which is also where Christine lives, she has moderate cerebral palsy on her right side and he is deaf. The middle level is home to Christine's best friend Grace and her boyfriend Jake. They are living here as they recently switched to a day program about 10 minutes south of here. While Ian and Madeline are going to school for Photography and Nursing. The Basement apartment is home to a family who I'm not allowed to discuss why they are here. Signing off until the beginning of November my choir has been invited to a national contest.
November 3rd dear diary I got home the 1st and while I was gone our family lost dads older brother my uncle Chris to cancer, his girls Rebecca age 10 and Savannah age 8 have now joined our big happy crazy family. This means that its a good thing dad is building an addition as its where the 5 oldest girls will sleep. This is very exciting we each have a huge room and share 2 bathrooms. Signing off till the beginning of December we have tons to do and moms currently on bed rest.
December 25th dear diary we have been extremely busy with handling the house moms shop and dads car repair shop as mom is on complete bed rest in the hospital. This is due to the fact that the twins are not wanting to stay where they belong. They want them to hold off for a week minimum. Shes due the 11th of March so a little over 12 weeks from now if she can hold off a bit longer it would be better for both her and the babies. Signing off we are going to spend the day with mom.
January 4th dear diary it is 2:00 in the morning but I have been up all night as moms in labor so Rebecca Christine Elsie Savannah and I are on baby watch and phone duty. The phones ringing got to go be back soon, dad called and at 2:10 Sarah Elizabeth was born she weighs just 3 pounds and is 13 inches long, 5 minutes later came Samantha Elaine who is the same size as her sister. Dad wants us to get some rest I will tty tomorrow.
January 5th dear diary we spent yesterday making calls visiting mom and doing so much other baby related stuff. From the picture dad sent it looks like they look a lot like him but have my high cheek bones and moms very dark brown hair. They were born a little over 8 weeks early so they will be in the hospital for at least that long. Signing off for a while I need to be here to help with everything.
