There is violence in this chapter, it is described. If you don't like that (Well not like but ya know, don't want to read about blood) don't read. Enjoy! (But only if you want to.)

Nico POV

Flashback to the same time period as the last chapter.

"Bia!" I called as soon as I got to the old abandon park. That was where I was told to meet the people on the phone at.

"Zoe! Are you here?" I heard laughing nearby and the realization that I had been tricked into coming came crashing down on me like one of those waves from movies like Deep Impact.

"Stupid kid," I heard a voice say as I turned around franticly, trying to find who was talking. That's when I felt hands grab my head and slam it against a tree. I didn't even see the guy's face before I blacked out.

When I woke up, I saw what appeared to be 3 young men, maybe in their early twenties, they were looking down at me. One knelt down to my level on the ground. I tried to move my hands, but I realized they were tied to a very low bar. Why was I even here? Then I remembered. I thought that these people were going to give my sister back.

"Listin freak," the man crouched on the ground said. I recognized his voice as the one I talked to on the phone earlier.

"I'm going to tell you how things are going to work around here for now on. Your sister was messed up, and your parents are not right either."

"What's wrong with my parents?" I interrupted him.

"They claim they never found their soulmates, gotta wonder if they're telling the truth."

"THEY ARE!" I screamed at him. I might not have been the closest with my parents, but I was not going to just let these as*hats talk about them that way.

"To the point," the boy said. "Bianca was screwed up and so are your parents. It runs in the family. You're messed up as well, but we just don't have proof. We will turn in fake proof, though, if you fail to do as we say."

I rolled my eyes at him. "What on earth is fake proof?"

"Photoshopped pictures, obviously."

"Why?" I asked.

"Why what?" he responded.

"Why are you doing this?"

"We've already explained that. Do you agree to do what we have said?"

"Do I have a choice?" I asked.

"No."

"Then yes, I agree."

End of flashback

It'd been well over ten years since that incident. I still got calls from them. They still made me do things I didn't want to like give them some of the money that I made at my job which I barely made enough money to support myself as it is. It sucked. In time I learned they beat up my sister and Zoe multiple times. Then they killed Bianca. They then waited for Zoe to die and turned in both their bodies for a prize of money. Sometimes if they found out someone was gay, they had a special place where they stored, aka kidnapped, them until they starved or they just decided to kill them. There were many more than the three I met too.

I prayed they would just forget about me, but they never did. I prayed I would meet a pretty girl who was my soulmate, but I never did. They demanded money, I gave it. They called me to the abandon park so they could beat me up, I went. Because if I didn't, they'd murder me. If I told one of my friends, they would kill me. So, I hid the bruises, hid the scars and delt with it. Until one day, which I don't think I'll ever be able to decide if it was the best thing that ever happened to me, or the worst.

When I got that call from the number I knew all too well, I picked up and they told me to go to the park, so I got up and went. Now don't think that I wanted to get beat up, I just went because the alternative was so much worse.

It started out normal. I was punched, they pulled out the knife. The used the knife and they carved words into my upper arm, they have done it before, it hurts like heck. They carved bad words, mean words. Words they call gay people. I tried not to make any noise. It goes quicker when I'm quiet. I watched the blood run down my arm coming from the letters that had been written so many times before.

I saw one of them with a bat, one people use for baseball. I wondered what they planned on doing with it. They never did anything with a bat before. Suddenly the boy raised it up and slammed it onto my head. I didn't feel anything at first; I saw they were laughing. Then I fell, the last thing I saw was their surprised faces, I don't think they meant for me to drop, I think they thought I was dead. Maybe that was a good thing, I would never feel pain again. I could almost see Bianca. Maybe these people weren't lying when they said they'd give me my sister back. I just thought she'd come back to me, but I guess I'd end up coming to her.
