Chapter One: A New Destiny Awaits

All was well in the city of Amity Park, having just celebrated the construction of a statue of their savior, Danny Phantom. When Vlad Plasmius, who revealed himself to be Vlad Masters, failed to make the Disasteroid intangible, the ghost hero stepped up. With the assistance of the ghosts of the Ghost Zone, Phantom made the whole world intangible, making the giant mass of ecto-ranium pass harmlessly by. Having saved the world from being destroyed by the Disasteroid, Phantom became a hero. All doubt the public of Amity Park had evaporated in an instant and now feel safe with the ghost hero around. With the approval of all the world's leaders, Tucker Foley, the youngest mayor in Amity Park history, erected identical statues around the world.

By some miracle, only the Fentons, Valerie Gray, and the crew working the central hub learned Phantom's identity. Just when Danny revealed his identity, all the news cameras ceased functioning. Danny had a suspicion Clockwork was involved in that somehow. It was agreed with the government that Phantom's true identity should remain a secret. This was decided more for Danny Fenton's sake, seeing how he was still a minor. This allowed him to still have a somewhat normal teenage life. Unlike what he feared, Danny was accepted by his parents despite being half-ghost. They felt guilty at first, constantly telling their children they'd tear Phantom apart molecule by molecule, unaware they were talking about their son. But Danny instantly forgave them, and they now work alongside him in his Phantom persona to keep Amity Park safe.

This peace went on for a month with no ghost activity in sight to ruin it. Having used a large amount of their intangibility powers, the ghosts gave Danny a short moratorium to recover. The only exception was the Box Ghost, who made it a point to appear every other day. Danny used this time to study and get his grades back up. He also took small breaks to train in using his powers, with the help of his friends and parents. He now has full mastery of duplication, an ability he was struggling with for so long.

Furthermore, Danny and Sam also finally admitted their feelings for each other and began dating. The first week, they were teased nonstop for taking so long. They paid the teasing no mind, only enjoying each other's company. Their relationship was rocky at first, having been friends for so long. But now, they're no longer as awkward with each other as before.

And so, everything was back to normal for the ghost hero in the city he protects. He had to get used to the reporters asking for interviews, though. That on top of his fans new and old wanting an autograph or a picture of him. While he enjoyed the attention he got, Danny was starting to feel overwhelmed. Other than that, his civilian life was as normal as can be. Little did he know, this little detail would be the start of a new adventure.

"I'm going where?!" Danny exclaimed, eyes wide in shock as he placed his hands on the desk in front of him.

He was currently in the vice-principal's office, being called out from class by Mr. Lancer. At first, he thought he was in some sort of trouble. However, he hadn't done anything, and there weren't any ghost attacks throughout the day. When he arrived at Mr. Lancer's office, this certainly wasn't what he was expecting.

"France, Paris to be exact." Mr. Lancer calmly repeated himself, having anticipated the teen's reaction. He sat at his desk with his hands folded in front of him as he thought over his next words. "It's part of our school's student exchange program." He then reached under his desk to open a drawer and rummaged through it. He pulled out a brochure and held it out to Danny for him to look over. "You've been selected to attend Françoise Dupont high for the rest of the school year."

"This is so sudden." Danny said, flabbergasted as he looked between his vice-principal and the brochure. He took the brochure to read its contents before looking at Mr. Lancer. "Don't we normally get an advanced warning about something like this?"

"It was announced last week, Mr. Fenton." Mr. Lancer explained, raising an eyebrow at the teen's question. "There was an assembly and all that jazz." He noticed Danny stiffening his posture, but paid it no mind as he continued. "You were in attendance for the assembly, correct?"

"Uh…" Danny backed up, looking away from Mr. Lancer and nervously rubbing the back of his neck. "Yeah, I just, uh, forgot about it."

In truth, Danny was dealing with a large horde of ectopuses that week when the apparent assembly was happening. They were easy to deal with, the problem was their numbers at the time. There were so many that he stopped counting after fifty and just focused on capturing them. He was assisted by his parents, which he was grateful for. By the time all the ectopuses were dealt with and he returned to school, the assembly was over. He was originally going to ask Sam and Tucker what the assembly was about, but then Skulker showed up.

"Well, glad to see you remembered." Mr. Lancer said, choosing to overlook the teen's odd behavior this time. He stood up and turned his back to Danny and gestured to the door. "You're free to go, Mr. Fenton, I'll call your parents later to let them know."

Danny didn't waste any time getting out of the office and onto his next class. When he got there, his mind wasn't focused on the lesson. He was concerned about what going to another country means. If there is a ghost attack in Amity Park, he wouldn't be there to stop it. Sure, there were his parents, Sam, and Tucker to fight them. But what if Nocturn, Undergrowth, or Vortex came back? Those three are only a few of the more powerful ghosts Danny had trouble fighting. If any of them shows up while he's gone, Amity Park wouldn't stand a chance.

"So, what did Lancer want, Danny?" Sam asked as she placed the textbooks she didn't need in her locker. She then looked at her boyfriend and raised an eyebrow. "You didn't get detention again, did you?"

"No, nothing like that, thankfully." Danny replied, leaning his back against the lockers and held out the brochure. "He just wanted to tell me I'm taking part in an exchange program."

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that." Tucker said, taking the brochure to read over its contents. His eyebrows rose and whistled when he saw the location. "Wow, Paris, neat."

"No, not neat." Danny sighed as he took the brochure and stuffed it in his pocket. "It's anything but that." He looked around before leaning closer to whisper. "How will we explain Danny Phantom's disappearance?"

"Oh, right." Tucker let out a sheepish chuckle as the main concern was now known.

"That would be a problem." Sam said, shutting her locker and slung her backpack over her shoulder. "Especially if he disappeared after you left." The three of them walked down the hall when she had a thought. "Hey, didn't Clockwork say he needed to talk to you about something?"

"Yeah, he did." Danny gave his girlfriend a look of confusion.

"We could use that." Sam suggested, making the two boys exchange looks before looking at her for further elaboration. "Think about it, if Danny Phantom announces he has urgent business in the Ghost Zone, no one will suspect a thing when Danny Fenton goes to Paris."

"That could work." Danny muttered, cupping his chin thoughtfully as he considered the suggestion. "But that still leaves the ghosts." He caught the looks his friend and girlfriend were giving him and hastily waved his hands. "I know you guys and my parents can handle them!" He then looked around again for eavesdroppers. "But what if someone like Nocturn or Undergrowth shows up?"

"You have a point there." Tucker nodded, crossing his arms as he remembered their encounter with the two powerful ghosts. He then nudged Sam with an elbow. "One of us might be manipulated by them."

"That was ONE time." Sam said through clenched teeth, punching Tucker in the arm, earning a yelp of pain. She then turned her attention to Danny as Tucker rubbed his abused arm. "I'm sure we can handle them." When Danny raised a finger and opened his mouth, Sam cut him off as she crossed her arms. "And I'll be sure to have a Specter Deflector on me at all times."

Seeing he was going to lose this conversation, Danny dropped what he was going to say. That didn't mean he wasn't still worried. There was just no talking his girlfriend out when she stood her ground. He knew he'd tried numerous times in the past with varied rates of success. Still, as a precaution, perhaps he could get Dani to fill in for him. That is, if he could get in touch with her, there was no telling where in the world she is right now. There was no way he would ask Amorpho. Although the two are former enemies and somehow became friends, he's too much of a prankster. Not to mention that Danny wasn't sure if he could fight like he could.

"Well, for now, let's just get through the school day." Tucker said as they approached their next class, which was english.

"Great." Danny said sarcastically, shoulders slumped as they entered the classroom.

Once school was over, Danny made a beeline home to talk to his parents. When he arrived at Fenton Works, Danny opened the door and stepped inside. Danny looked into the kitchen to see his father fiddling with an invention. From what he saw, it looked like a bazooka connected to some kind of containment unit. He jumped when there was a loud boom and smoke spewed from it. Jack backed away from the machine, coughing and waving a hand to clear the smoke.

"You okay, dad?" Danny asked with uncertainty, cautiously entering the kitchen.

"Huh?" Jack looked over his shoulder and smiled when he saw his son before getting to his feet. "Danny!" He then patted the bassoka with a proud grin on his face. "Perfect timing, you came home just in time to see my latest invention." He strapped the containment unit to his back and pointed the bazooka towards Danny. "The Fenton Spector Freezer!"

The machine hummed to life and Danny ducked with a yelp when a blue beam was fired. The beam soared over Danny's head and towards the front door. The door opened to reveal Jazz stepping in. Her eyes widened when she saw the beam before jumping to the side in panic. The beam then struck a car across the street, encasing it in a block of ice. Jazz peered out the door before slowly closing it. Once it was shut, she turned and glared at Jack with her hands on her hips.

"What was that?" Jazz demanded, pointing at the door before approaching her father and looking at the machine. "Didn't you check if the safety was on?!"

"Uh," Jack looked from his daughter to the machine before setting it down on the table and rubbing the back of his head. "There are still a few kinks to work out."

"Clearly." Jazz said dryly, letting out a sigh before turning to Danny who got back on his feet. "Hey Danny, how was your day?"

"Eh, the usual." Danny shrugged, going over to the fridge and pulled out a carton of milk. "Had to dodge a few reporters." He moved to the cupboards to get a cup and poured some milk in it. "Luckily, I was human when they passed by."

"Those reporters sure are persistent." Jack said, waving a wrench in the air before fiddling with the inner workings of his latest invention. "They get on Danny faster than me on fudge." He raised his head at the thought. "Ooh, fudge!"

Jazz simply shook her head when her father bolted to the fridge and started eating an entire tray of fudge. She then turned her attention to her brother and became concerned to see he was looking thoughtful. "Danny, everything okay?"

"Yeah, just thinking." Danny returned the carton back in the fridge and took a big gulp.

"You wanna talk about it?" Jazz asked, a look of worry when she noticed how deep in thought her brother was.

"Maybe later." Danny replied, not making eye contact with his sister. "Right now, I need to worry about this whole exchange program."

"About that, Danny." Maddie said as she came up from the lab and noticed her son. "Are you sure you can't back out of it?"

"Not much I can do." Danny shrugged, finishing the last of his drink before setting the cup in the sink. "Everything's already been arranged." He looked out the window to see a group of reporters scrambling around looking for his hero persona. He turned to face his family and gave them a cheeky grin as he jabbed a thumb over his shoulder. "Besides, I can think of it like a vacation from those whack jobs."

"They have been getting out of hand lately." Maddie mused, watching a reporter sticking their head under a car. She winced when one reporter got attacked by a guard dog before facing her family. "Maybe time away from Amity Park is a good idea."

"I'll just need to be careful while I'm in Paris." Danny said, making his finger intangible and poking it through the table for emphasis. He paused when a thought crossed him before lifting his finger and making it tangible. "By the way, what am I going to do about living arrangements there?"

"Well, you normally stay with the family of the other exchange student." Jazz explained, casting a wary side glance to their parents. "But for their sake, I hope they stay somewhere else."

"Jack, don't you have a brother in Paris?" Maddie asked, placing a hand against her cheek as she tried to remember. "You know, the one who couldn't make it to our wedding due to work?"

"Oh, Gabi!" Jack exclaimed, laughing boisterously much to Danny and Jazz's confusion. "Haven't seen him in years!"

"We have an uncle?" Danny whispered to Jazz, not taking his eyes off his father.

"Seems so." Jazz nodded, tapping her forehead with a finger and eyes closed in concentration. "Gabi, Gabi." She then let out a defeated sigh and shrugged while shaking her head. "I got nothing."

"Gabi was your uncle's name at the time." Maddie explained, giggling slightly as if she remembered something funny. "He always hated that name every time I met him."

The brother and sister pair gave each other a side glance before shrugging. They gave up trying to understand their parents a long time ago. They just decided to agree that they had a weird family and leave it at that. In fact, it wouldn't surprise them in the least if someone knocked their door down and claimed to be their relative. With an entrance like that, it wouldn't be too far-fetched.

"I'll give ol' Gabi a call and ask if Danny can stay with him!" Jack said excitedly, pulling out his phone and dialed a number before placing it against his ear. Jack didn't have to wait long for the person on the other end to pick up. "Gabi, it's Jack, how have you been?!" He turned his back to his family as he walked into the living room. "Oh, don't be like that, it's been fifteen years since we last talked!"

"Well," Danny shrugged, looking at his mother and sister. "Guess I should start packing."

Up in Danny's room, he sat on his bed as he started to pack for his trip next week. In all honesty, he wasn't looking forward to it. He didn't feel comfortable leaving Amity Park for a whole school year. But he did think for a moment a break from being a hero would be nice. He could actually have a normal life for a while. No one will suspect that Danny Phantom went to Paris. He just needed to keep his powers in check to avoid any unwanted attention.

"Need help, Danny?" Jazz asked, standing outside Danny's door as she watched her brother pack. She leaned against the doorway as Danny struggled to shut the obviously too full suitcase.

"No, I got it." Danny replied through gritted teeth and he slammed the suitcase closed. He then sat on top and zipped up his suitcase before wiping his forehead with a sigh. "Okay, that's it for daily necessities."

"I wouldn't call every game you own as daily necessities." Jazz smirked, shaking her head in amusement as she crossed her arms.

"Good news, Danno!" Jack exclaimed, accidentally bumping into Jazz as he skidded to a stop at Danny's door. "Gabi said he doesn't mind you staying with him!" He then rubbed the back of his neck with an uncomfortable look on his face. "He does have one condition, though."

"And what condition would that be?" Jazz asked, not liking the look her father was giving her brother.

"Nothing much." Jack replied, avoiding making eye contact with his daughter. "Just that he has to model alongside his son."

"Model?!" Danny and Jazz exclaimed, looking at their father in disbelief.

"Yeah." Jack rubbed the back of his neck uncomfortably at his childrens' reaction. "He owns a fashion brand that's pretty popular." He then rubbed his chin as he hummed in thought. "What did he call it, Gabitell, Gabel?"

"Wait," Jazz frowned, her eyebrows knitted before her eyes widened in disbelief. "Are you talking about Gabriel?!"

"That's it!" Jack exclaimed, pointing at Jazz before crossing his arms with a frown. "I tried talking him out of it, but he insisted that Danny did some work if he was staying."

"He couldn't think of anything else?" Danny asked, dreading the thought of him being a model and making himself look like a fool. "Like doing chores or something?"

Unfortunately, Jack simply shook his head and gave his son an apologetic look. Feeling like he needed time to process, Danny told them that he would go and meet with Clockwork. Wasting no time, Danny changed into Phantom before making himself intangible and went through the floor. He continued to go down until he reached the lab and flew through the ghost portal. He made a point to visit the ghost of time every once in a while.

Clockwork became something like a mentor to Danny, considering all the lessons he taught him about messing with time. The master of time was also a good listener and gave advice when Danny asked, although he was always cryptic about it. Clockwork was also part of the reason he had a better handle of his powers. Thanks to being a ghost since the beginning of time, he was able to help Danny fix the reasons he was struggling with certain powers.

"Wonder what Clockwork wants to talk about." Danny wondered as he flew through the Ghost Zone. It's rare for the time ghost to want Danny to come over for a talk. "It must be important."

He soon saw Clockwork's tower in the distance and picked up his pace. Once he arrived, the doors opened the moment his feet touched the ground. He wasn't surprised seeing how Clockwork knows everything. Danny proceeded to climb up the numerous stairs until he reached Clockwork's observation room. There floating before the screens showing different timelines was Clockwork in his elderly form. With a swing of his staff, the screens turn blank as Clockwork turns to face Danny with his usual cryptic smile.

"You showed up right on time." Clockwork said, changing from an elder to a child.

Danny rolled his eyes at the ghost's need to mention time before crossing his arms. "So, what did you want to talk about, Clockwork?"

"As I'm sure you were already informed," Clockwork started, changing into his adult form before floating closer to the halfa. "You will be spending some time away from Amity Park."

"Yeah, for a student exchange program." Danny nodded, raising an eyebrow as he wondered where the time ghost was going with this. "Why?"

"I just wished to put your mind at ease." Clockwork explained, once again becoming an elder before placing a reassuring hand on Danny's shoulder. "There are no events that warrant your presence while you are away."

"Well, that's good to hear." Danny muttered, not feeling entirely relieved about leaving his haunt to others, despite knowing he trusts they'll be fine. Shaking that thought away, the halfa frowned at the ghost of time. "Is that the only reason you wanted to talk?"

"No, there is still one more thing to discuss." Clockwork changed into an infant before floating over to the screens. He swung his staff, making the screens fuzzy before facing Danny. "I am afraid your vacation as a hero will have to be postponed."

"Are you kidding me?" Danny groaned, throwing his head back and placing his hand against his forehead. He sighed, standing straight and crossing his arms and looking at Clockwork with a look of resignation. "Alright, who's butt am I kicking now?"

"See for yourself." Clockwork pointed his staff at a screen, willing it to come to life.

Danny looked past Clockwork curiously as the fuzz of the screen gained clarity and an image was shown. His green eyes widened and flashed at what he was seeing. On the screen was what can only be described as pure chaos. Buildings crumbled to ruin, explosions and destruction, people screaming and running for their lives. Danny could make out what was probably used to be the eiffel tower in the background. He didn't know who did this, but they were clearly raining fire and brimstone down on those poor people.

Danny tightly clenched his fists as a shadowy figure was seen within the smoke of a recent explosion. He couldn't make out who it was, but it was obvious they were the cause. Laying before the figure were a group of people dressed in animal themed costumes. Only two were standing, a girl wearing a red with black polka dots bodysuit and a boy wearing a black cat themed suit. The smoke began to clear and his lips parted slightly as the person responsible was revealed.

"No way." Danny trembled in absolute horror as he became even paler than before. "It can't be!"

Floating victoriously over the group was his future evil self, the one he vowed to never become. Something was different about him, though. Although he looked the same on the outside, Danny couldn't shake the bad feeling he had. His fears were proven right when his future self shot a type of ray towards the fallen group. The group were suddenly petrified and crumbled to dust in an instant. The girl cried out in anguish while the boy charged towards evil Danny with unbridled rage. Evil Danny simply grabbed the boy's head and he suffered the same fate as the others.

The screen became fuzzy once again before going blank as Clockwork checked Danny's state. The halfa was trembling nonstop before falling to his knees and holding himself to stop the shaking. His head was hung low as his fear filled eyes stared at the floor to try and process what he saw. He then looked to the side where a dented Fenton Thermos sat on a pedestal. He knew why it was there and who was in it. It was left in Clockwork's supervision so he couldn't escape.

"That was a timeline for if you didn't go to Paris." Clockwork's voice brought Danny's attention back to the time ghost as he changed to his elderly form. "I fear Dark Danny's escape is inevitable."

"There has to be something we can do." Danny said, getting back to his feet, stumbling as his legs were still weak to support him. He briefly looked at the thermos before desperately looking at his mentor. "Please tell me there's a way to stop that future?!"

"Fortunately, there is." Clockwork floated over to the thermos to inspect the dents along its surface. He then turned to Danny and pointed at the screen as the boy and girl from before appeared. "You must join forces with these two, for they cannot defeat him without your assistance."

"Who are they?" Danny asked, carefully looking at the screen and devoting their appearances to memory.

"They are known as Ladybug and Chat Noir." Clockwork replied, pointing his staff to the screen to change.

On the screen was a man in a high dark purple dress shirt without a collar, over which he wore a darker purple jacket with a black butterfly-shaped lapel. A butterfly-like locket brooch was placed on the center of his chest. He also wore dress pants, in the same shade of the jacket, and black gloves and dress shoes without laces. He also wore a silver cowl with a butterfly-shaped outline over the majority of his face and neck. In his hand was a dark purple cane with a purple gemstone on top of it.

"This is their nemesis, Hawk Moth." Clockwork explained.

"Great, just what we need." Danny muttered sarcastically, crossing his arms as he stared at the screen. "As if Dark Danny wasn't enough trouble." He cringed when he paid particular attention to the man's attire. "And his fashion sense might be worse than Vlad's, and that's saying something."

"He will play a key role in how Dark Danny obtained his new powers." Clockwork continued as if he wasn't interrupted, willing the screen to go blank. He then looked at Danny with a serious look on his face as he turned into an elder. "You must help Ladybug and Chat Noir find Hawkmoth and defeat him before then."

"Can't you just tell me who he is?" Danny asked, looking at Clockwork who simply stared at him as he changed back into a child. The halfa sighed and rested one hand on his hip and waved the other. "Let me guess, you're already pushing it by telling me this much."

"That I am." Clockwork nodded, becoming an adult before waving his staff to form a portal. "All I can do now is watch."

"Well, best get ready then." Danny shrugged as he walked towards the portal but stopped to give Clockwork a grin. "Though knowing you, you already know how this ends."

"Of course, but then...I know everything."

Danny chuckled at that before going through the portal and found himself back in his room. He changed back into human form and looked out the window to see it was dark out. Not feeling up to changing, Danny simply went to bed. However, he couldn't sleep because his mind kept wandering to the possible future Clockwork showed him. Then there was the whole modeling thing, which he was not looking forward to. He wanted this to be a chance to be out of the spotlight for a while.

Don't get him wrong, Danny loved the attention his hero persona was getting. But now, he's constantly chased by fans, paparazzi trying to get pictures, and reporters publicizing his every move. While it was nice for a time, Danny found he hardly had any privacy in his life anymore. It was difficult to be Danny Phantom without anyone finding out his identity.

"Guess I'll just have to roll with the punches." Danny mused, rolling to his side and closing his eyes. "I just hope nothing too hectic happens."

The next week was a difficult time for the young hero. As suggested by Sam, Danny Phantom announced he had urgent matters in the ghost zone. Naturally, that got the expected reaction from his fans and the paparazzi. It was all jumbled together and hard to understand, but he got the gist of it. In summary, they were all asking why he had to leave on such short notice. He chose not to elaborate, seeing how he didn't know how to explain. Luckily, he was able to make a clean escape without anyone following him. It helped that he simply turned invisible and intangible.

Ghosts still attacked from time to time, but it was mainly the box ghost. While he felt an itch to get in the fight, Danny refrained. When a ghost did show up, he simply acted like a scared civilian and hid. He didn't like being left out of the action while Sam and Tucker dealt with it. However, he needed to do it this way to throw off any suspicion towards him. There were more than a few times someone almost found out.

It didn't help matters when certain ghosts attacked him in particular, mostly Skulker. It was difficult not to go ghost at those times. Then there was Jonny 13, who got into another fight with Kitty. After that was Desiree, who nearly granted a reporter's wish to know Danny Phantom's identity. Danny was just lucky he was passing by and captured Desiree before the reporter finished their wish. Simply put, the week was exhausting, and Danny was actually looking forward to going to Paris.

Sure, he had to deal with a new threat and his evil future self escaping, but that's for later. Danny was going to relax and try to have a normal life in Paris. He knows that Paris has their own set of heroes thanks to Clockwork. Meaning he didn't have to get himself involved unless a ghost attacked. He still intends to help them fight their enemy, Hawkmoth, but he didn't have to right away. Besides, if Danny Phantom shows up in Paris, everything would be wasted effort. Meaning he'll have to help them as Danny Fenton, and only become Phantom during dire circumstances.

"Danny, what are you doing?" Maddie asked, watching her son rummage through the lab and haphazardly throwing items into a suitcase.

"Bringing some ghost hunting equipment along." Danny replied, looking over two inventions in his hands before tossing the one in his left hand into the suitcase. "Knowing my luck, there's definitely going to be ghost attacks of some kind." He moved to the other end of the lab and repeated the same process. "Since I can't fight as Phantom in Paris, I'll need all the help I can get."

"Shouldn't you have done this earlier in the week?" Maddie asked, placing a hand against her cheek with a look of worry on her face. "You're gonna miss your flight."

"It's fine, mom." Danny replied, looking over his shoulder to give his mother a reassuring smile as he continued to throw objects into the suitcase. "Even if I miss my flight, I'll just fly over as Phantom."

What the halfa was unaware of, was that he threw a box that is a geometric shaped prism with a peculiar symbol on top into the suitcase. Danny then closed the suitcase and followed his mother up the stairs and out of the lab. Soon, the entire family, along with Sam and Tucker, were in the Fenton Family Ghost Assault Vehicle and on the way to the airport. Once they;ve arrived, they checked Danny in to retrieve his ticket and his luggage loaded onto the plane.

"Now Danny." Jack said, placing a hand on Danny's shoulder as they waited for his flight to be announced. "When you get off the plane, Gabi's chauffeur will be there to pick you up, you can't miss him."

"Take care of yourself over there." Maddie added, giving her son a hug which he returned. They separated, but their arms still connected as Maddie continued. "Be on your best behavior, and try to stay out of trouble."

"It's usually trouble that finds me." Danny muttered, not making eye contact with his mother.

"See you little brother." Jazz said, being the next to give the halfa a hug. "Be sure to call when you can so we know you're alright."

Danny rolled his eyes good naturedly and gently patted his sister's back. "I will, Jazz."

"Show those Parisians what we Americans can do, dude." Tucker playfully punched Danny in the shoulder before handing his friend a tablet-like device. "If you ever need anything, use this to let me know."

"Wow, just became mayor, and already handing out perks." Danny grinned as he took the device and stashed it away in his backpack. He then looked towards Sam, rubbing the back of his head awkwardly. "So, I guess this is good-bye for now."

"Yeah, I guess it is." Sam looked away, an awkward look on her face as she wasn't sure what to say.

Off to the side, Danny's family and Tucker were snickering at the scene before them. They were acting like they just became a couple yesterday. It was a funny, yet cute, moment to watch in an airport. The intercom soon announced that Danny's flight was now boarding passengers. Having heard that, Danny looked in the direction of his gate. He then looked at Sam, a determined look on his face as he pulled her closer to him.

Sam's eyes widened in surprise by the sudden action, but couldn't say anything when Danny placed his lips against hers. The goth girl was shocked at first, but relaxed and returned the kiss. Jack, Maddie, and Jazz smiled at the scene while Tucker still snickered. The two separated seconds later, though it felt like hours to them. They looked each other in the eye, silently promising they'll see each other again.

Danny adjusted his backpack before walking over to his gate. He looked over his shoulder and waved to his friends and family who waved back. Danny soon boarded the plane and found his seat. As the plane took off, the halfa looked out the window, watching as Amity Park got smaller in the distance.
