I don't know how, but for some reason, the chapter I had for Circus GX appeared as the new chapter for this story. Let's try this again.
*OPENING*

(Instrumental)
(Many Duel Schools and their students were shown)

(Qing is seen running through the woods away from the cloaked duelist, as the latter's monsters unleashed their attacks at her)
As if we have to make sure these bonds are firm and now, we all take hold
(Qing threw a card on her duel disk, summoning a monster and rode on it, saving her from the attacks. Scene changed to display Gongenzaka, Seth, Bella, Azuma, and a few others of the thirty-two duelists facing off against the Obelisk Force)
Of the map to the future, which begins to shine
(A boy who looks just like Yuya but in white drove into the stadium, glaring at a shadow figure on the other side of the stadium as he drove closer to him)
(Instrumental)
(The You Show group looked up at the camera from the stadium within)
Qing ran as fast as she could, as fast as her legs could go, pushing leaves away, to get away from her opponent. Even though she saw those duels in her vision, even though she had experienced a couple of those duels in those visions, she just couldn't believe how powerful she was.
"Where do you think you're going?" she heard, making her gasp out in fear, as she dared glance behind her.
Her eyes widen upon seeing her opponent's monster swiftly catching up to her. Qing looked back ahead of her and saw a card on a tree and snatched it. "A-Action Magic, Jungle's Survivor! This turn, if I control no monsters on my field, by reducing my Life Points to 100, I take no damage!"
(Jungle's Survivor: Action Magic: If you control no monsters, reduce your Life Points to 100; this turn, you take no damage.)
"But that won't stop the attack!" her opponent retorted. "Now strike, my monster!"
A roar was heard that made Qing pick up her running pace. It wasn't long until she found herself out of the woods at last... only to find herself at the edge of a cliff near the Volcano Area. She looked back and saw the attack heading towards her. With no cards left to defend herself, Qing brought her arms up in a feeble attempt to protect herself. As the attack struck her, she let out a horrific scream, as she was knocked off the cliff.
How did this come to be? Let us rewind to what happened earlier, when Qing accepted the duel.
*EARLIER*
"DUEL!"
Qing: 4000 LP
?: 4000 LP
"Would you like to go first, or shall I?" the figure asked. "Well, not like it matters. I already saw it, after all... How this pitiful duel will end."
As much as Qing wanted to retort to such claim, she knew her opponent was way stronger than any duelists she had faced. She saw her duels after all. Qing had to proceed with caution. And thankfully, she had just the deck to stop her from doing what her dimension does best, and it was her best deck. "You can go first. I insist," she said.
"All right. If you insist," the figure answered. She then playfully pointed from one card in her hand to another, lightly jumping in place. "Let's see~ Which one to summon~ Which card to use~" If it wasn't for the duels she saw in her vision, Qing would've thought her opponent wasn't taking her seriously, but she knew better than to ever think that at all. "Hmm, what to do~? Oh! I know~ I activate the magic card, Digital Gate. If I don't control a monster, I Special Summon a Level 4 or lower 'Digimon' monster from my deck. Appear now, Insect Digimon, Tentomon." As she said this, a big, ladybug-like monster with big green eyes and small hands appeared on the field.
Insect Digimon, Tentomon: Level 3/EARTH/Insect/1200 ATK/1400 DEF
(Insect Digimon, Tentomon: Effect Monster: Once per turn, if your opponent activates a card effect during your turn, you may change this Attack Position monster to Defense to negate that effect.)
"Next, I summon the Reptile Digimon, Agumon." Up next was an orange dinosaur with green eyes.
Reptile Digimon, Agumon: Level 4/FIRE/Dinosaur/1400 ATK/1300 DEF
(Reptile Digimon, Agumon: Effect Monster: When this card is Normal Summoned or Special Summoned, if you control another 'Digimon' monster of the same or lower level than this card, Special Summon 1 'Reptile Digimon, Gabumon' from your deck.)
"And when this card is summoned, I can Special Summon Reptile Digimon, Gabumon from my deck."
"Before you do, I activate Naturu Cosmobeet's effect from my hand," Qing interrupted. "When my opponent Normal Summons or Sets a monster, I Special Summon this card from my hand!"
"No, you won't," the figure said. "I activate Tentomon's effect. If my opponent activates a card effect during my turn, by changing this Attack Position card to Defense, the effect is negated. Super Shocker." As she said this, Tentomon's red shell opened up and the wings concealed in it flapped at high speed. Electricity was generated from its antennas and hit Qing's hand, forcing her to drop the card.
"Ouch!" she cried out.
"Compared to what will happen to you later, that's just a pinch. Now with Agumon's effect, come, Gabumon!" At that call, another yellow reptile-like monster with white and blue furred coat over its body appeared on the field.
Reptile Digimon, Gabumon: Level 4/LIGHT/Reptile/1300 ATK/1400 DEF
(Reptile Digimon, Gabumon: Effect Monster: If this card was Special Summoned by the effect of 'Reptile Digimon, Agumon', add 1 'Fusion' card from your deck to your hand.)
"And with Gabumon's effect, since he was Special Summoned from Agumon's effect, I add a 'Fusion' card from my deck to my hand." The figure added said card to her hand. "And now, since I control at least two 'Digimon' monsters of the same level, I Special Summon Mammal Digimon, Patamon from my hand." Appearing next was an orange and white monster with orange wings on its head.
Mammal Digimon, Patamon: Level 3/WIND/Winged-Beast/1000 ATK/1300 DEF
(Mammal Digimon, Patamon: Effect Monster: If you control at least 2 'Digimon' monsters of the same Level, you may Special Summon this card from your hand.)
Qing gritted her teeth upon seeing the figure already having four monsters on the field, and on the first turn at that.
"I'm not done yet," the figure said. "I activate the magic card, Forced Digivolution! By paying half my Life Points, this card allows me to release all Level 4 or lower 'Digimon' monsters I control and Special Summon 'Digimon' monsters from my deck who has the tributed monsters' names in their texts!"
"Wait, what?!" Qing gasped out.
(Forced Digivolution: Magic Card: Halve your Life Points. Tribute all Level 4 or lower 'Digimon' monster(s) you control; Special Summon from your deck 'Digimon' monster(s) who has the tributed monsters' names in their texts.)
"Now then, Tentomon, Agumon, Gabumon, and Patamon! Digivolve!" the figure called out. At her words, dark aura surrounded the four monsters and forced them to change. For Tentomon, he turned into a big, blue bug with six wings and a kabuto helmet for a head. For Agumon, he grew bigger, had blue stripes on his body, and a brown shell-like helmet on his head. For Gabumon, he went on four legs, and his body became furry as the furred coat, yet at the same time seemed quite deadly looking. For Patamon, he turned into an angel.
"Insect Digimon, Kabuterimon, Dinosaur Digimon, Greymon, Beast Digimon, Garurumon, and Angel Digimon, Angemon," the figure then identified.
Insect Digimon, Kabuterimon: Level 6/WIND/Insect/2400 ATK/1800 DEF
Dinosaur Digimon, Greymon: Level 5/FIRE/Dinosaur/2000 ATK/1700 DEF
Beast Digimon, Garurumon: Level 5/EARTH/Beast/2100 ATK/1800 DEF
Angel Digimon, Angemon: Level 6/LIGHT/Fairy/2300 ATK/2000 DEF
(Insect Digimon, Kabuterimon: Effect Monster: You can Special Summon this card by tributing 1 'Insect Digimon, Tentomon' you control. Once per turn, during either player's turn, you may negate the effect of one card on the field. During the End Phase of the turn you negate the effect of a monster your opponent controls whose level is equal to or higher than this card's, you may tribute this card; Special Summon 1 'Insect Digimon, MegaKabuterimon' from your deck.)
(Dinosaur Digimon, Greymon: Effect Monster: You can Special Summon this card by tributing 1 'Reptile Digimon, Agumon' you control. This card gains 200 ATK and DEF for each 'Digimon' monster on the field. During the End Phase, you may activate one of these effects:
- If your opponent controls a monster whose level is higher than the highest level monster you control, tribute this card; Special Summon 1 'Cyborg Digimon, MetalGreymon' from your deck.
- If your opponent controls more monsters than you, pay half your Life Points and tribute this card; Special Summon 1 'Skeleton Digimon, SkullGreymon' from your deck.)
(Beast Digimon, Garurumon: Effect Monster: You can Special Summon this card by tributing 1 'Reptile Digimon, Gabumon' you control. Once per turn, at the start of Damage Step, if this card is battling a non-'Digimon' monster, you may discard 1 card from your hand and destroy that monster. During the End Phase of the turn this card destroys a monster by battle, you may tribute this card; Special Summon 1 'Beast Man Digimon, WereGarurumon' from your deck.)
(Angel Digimon, Angemon: Effect Monster: You can Special Summon this card by tributing 1 'Mammal Digimon, Patamon' you control. Once per turn, you may gain 400 Life Points for each 'Digimon' monster you control. During the End Phase of the turn this card is sent to your Graveyard, if you control a 'Digimon' monster, you may tribute that monster and banish this card; Special Summon 1 'Archangel Digimon, MagnaAngemon' from your deck.)
"I'm not done yet. Dinosaur Digimon, Greymon's effect. For each 'Digimon' monster on the field, he gains 200 ATK and DEF." As the figure said this, the dinosaur monster glowed a red aura, signaling a boost in power.
Dinosaur Digimon, Greymon: 2000 + 200 x 4 = 2000 + 800 = 2800 ATK
"Next, I activate Angemon's effect. Once per turn, I gain 400 Life Points times the number of 'Digimon' monsters I control. Heaven's Light." As she said this, her angel monster raised his rod, which glowed and granted his master more Life Points.
Qing: 4000 LP
?: 5600 LP
"Now then, I'll set one card face-down and end my turn here," the figure ended at last. "Now then, start your turn, and your requiem~"
Qing couldn't help but remain cautious, and keeping her guard up around her opponent. It was scary enough she was able to summon out four monsters, now the figure has monsters stronger than the ones she previously summoned. But now... Now what was she going to do...?
"My turn. Draw!" Qing drew her next card and analyzed her hand. "Okay. From my hand, I summon Naturu Pumpkin!" Appearing on her field was her pumpkin monster.
Naturu Pumpkin: Level 4/EARTH/Plant/1400 ATK/800 DEF
"When she's summoned, I Special Summon a 'Naturu' monster from my hand! Let's try this again, my Tuner monster, Naturu Cosmobeet!" As she said this, a ball of light came out of Pumpkin's head and landed right beside it. The light dispersed and revealed her round Tuner monster.
Naturu Cosmobeet: Level 2/EARTH/Plant/1000 ATK/700 DEF
"And since a 'Naturu' monster I control activated its effect, I Special Summon Naturu Hydrangea from my hand!" Blooming from the ground was Qing's hydrangea monster.
Naturu Hydrangea: Level 5/EARTH/Plant/1900 ATK/2000 DEF
Qing took a pause here as she analyzed the field, specifically her opponent's. 'Okay. Now I have a Tuner monster and two candidate materials to Synchro Summon something. If I tune Cosmobeet and Pumpkin together, I'll have Parkion out and be able to counter against her Trap cards. If I tune Cosmobeet with Hydrangea instead, I'll be able to summon out Naturu Landoorse, who can negate Effect Monster's effects by sending a Magic Card in my hand to the Graveyard. In an Action Field, that would give me a great advantage, as a good majority of Action cards are magic cards. However, Landoorse's ATK is quite low. Even if I do negate her monster's effects and destroy it, should she choose to just attack me instead, it'll be hopeless. If I summon out Parkion, not only is its ATK higher than most of her monsters, but if I use these two Magic cards, I could clear her field of monsters. Should she activate that set card, Parkion can negate and destroy it. Plus, the only card she has in her hand is Fusion. Unless if she draws into something that can have her summon an extra monster somehow, she won't be able to Fusion Summon next turn, at the very least. This can work.'
"Hey~! Are you awake over there~?" the figure asked. "Hurry up and continue. You can't tell me this is the end of your turn already."
"Yeah, just give me a second," Qing told her. "I tune my Level 4 Naturu Pumpkin with my Level 2 Naturu Cosmobeet! Become the great roaring nature! One that repels all traps! SYNCHRO SUMMON! Appear now, Level 6, Naturu Parkion!" From the two monsters tuned together, Qing's dragon appeared.
Naturu Parkion: Level 6/EARTH/Dragon/2500 ATK/1800 DEF
"And now, I activate the Magic card, Synchro Gift! With this card a Synchro Monster I control has its ATK points dropped to zero, while a non-Synchro monster gains its ATK! Parkion, lend Hydrangea your power!"
Parkion let out a roar and transferred all its power to its ally, with Pumpkin growing big from the power.
Narutu Parkion: 2500 -} 0 ATK
Naturu Hydrangea: 1900 + 2500 = 4400 ATK
"Next, I activate the Magic card, Synchro Cracker! By returning a Synchro monster I control to my Extra Deck, I destroy monsters my opponent controls whose ATK is less than the returned monster's original ATK! Return to me, Parkion! And destroy her monsters!" Parkion let out another roar as it charged at three of the figure's monsters, destroying them in one fell swoop before returning to Qing's Extra Deck. "And with less 'Digimon' monsters on the field, Greymon's ATK is reduced!" As she said, the red aura around the figure's remaining monster glowed weaker.
Dinosaur Digimon, Greymon: 2800 - 600 = 2200 ATK
"Battle! Pumpkin, attack Greymon!" At her command, Hydrangea whipped its opponent with its vines.
Qing: 4000 LP
?: 3400 LP
"I set one card face-down and end my turn! At this point, Pumpkin's ATK reverts to normal," Qing ended, setting her last card face-down.
Naturu Hydrangea: 4400 - 2500 = 1900 ATK
As she looked back to her opponent, to her surprise, the figure let out a bored sigh. "Really? That's all you got? I was even nice enough to not use Kabuterimon's effect on your cards, and that's all you got?" Qing's eyes widened when she heard that. Her opponent let her cards' effect pass? "Well, looks like my vision is wrong, and in a boring way. My turn. Draw." The cloaked figure drew her next card and looked at it and the other card she had in her hand. "Hmm... What to do...? Do I let you have another free turn? Or do I make my move?"
Whether she was mocking her or getting her riled up to mess up, Qing didn't know, but she wasn't going to let her opponent get to her.
"I guess I'll do this, then. Continuous Magic, Digital Sacrifice." The figure played the card she drew. "With this card, if you were to attack me directly, by sending a 'Digimon' monster from my deck to the Graveyard, the damage will be reduced by the sent monster's ATK or DEF, whichever is lower. And at the end of that Battle Phase, I take an extra 100 points of damage times the total level of monsters sent to the Graveyard this way."
(Digital Sacrifice: Continuous Magic: During your opponent's Battle Phase, if they declare a direct attack, you may send 1 'Digimon' monster from your deck to the Graveyard; reduce the damage dealt by the sent monster's ATK or DEF (whichever is lower). At your opponent's End Phase, take 100 damage times the total Level of monsters sent to the Graveyard this way.)
"Hang on! So regardless, you'll still be taking damage and be that much closer to losing!" Qing said.
"True, my Life Points will be reduced regardless, but it doesn't matter. Because I already saw... the outcome of this duel."
Qing flinched at those words but stood her ground. The figure said the same exact thing to her other two counterparts, and demolished them in their duels. Who was to say that it was any different here?
"There you are, Qing Jungle!" a voice shouted.
Qing and her opponent turned to the source and saw, to the latter's confusion and the former's fear, duelists approaching them. There were three in total, and of what she could tell, those three were from the other branches of LDS.
"We heard from Akaba Reiji," the female duelist in white clothes said.
"The calvary has arrived," the male duelist in biker's clothing said.
"You're not going anywhere, Academia!" the male duelist in black with a guitar on his person declared.
Qing's eyes widened at those words, but not in relief. Especially not after seeing the intrigued expression her opponent was having, and not when she knew how strong she truly was. "No don't! Stay back!"
Unfortunately, the trio didn't heed her warning and activated their duel disks. In the process...
"INTRUSION PENALTY. 2000 POINTS," a voice was heard from their duel disks, and the trio got shocked from the penalty.
LDS Duelist 1: 2000 LP
LDS Duelist 2: 2000 LP
LDS Duelist 3: 2000 LP
"That guy did warn us about the penalty..." the biker duelist said.
"Not that it matters! I'll start!" the duelist with the guitar exclaimed, drawing his sixth card. "From my hand, I activate Thunder and Lightning Dragon - Thunder Dragon's effect! Discarding this card from my hand to the Graveyard to add another Thunder and Lightning Dragon - Thunder Dragon to my hand! Next, with Thunder Dragon's effect in my hand, by discarding it, I add up to two more 'Thunder Dragon' cards to my hand! I add Thunder Dragon Fusion and Thunder Aeon Dragon - Thunder Dragon! Next I activate Thunder Aeon Dragon - Thunder Dragon's effect! By banishing a LIGHT and DARK monster in my Graveyard, I Special Summon him!" As the LDS duelist said this, he played a rocking note on his guitar. In a flash of lightning, a blue and purple two-headed dragon appeared on the field. One head was emanating blue sparks, while the other emanated black sparks.
Thunder Aeon Dragon - Thunder Dragon: Level 8/DARK/Thunder/2800 ATK/0 DEF
"Next when Thunder and Lightning Dragon gets banished, I add a 'Thunder Dragon' card from my deck to my hand! I add Thunder Origin Dragon - Thunder Dragon! And then I activate Thunder Rumble Dragon - Thunder Dragon's effect! On the turn a Thunder-type monster's effect was activated in the hand, by banishing a Level 8 or lower Thunder monster in my hand or field, I Special Summon him! I banish the Level 1, Thunder Origin Dragon! Awaken!" Like with Thunder Aeon Dragon, the LDS duelist played another rocking note on his guitar. Yellow lightning struck the ground with a rumble, and a majestic white dragon with yellow sparks appeared on the field.
Thunder Rumble Dragon - Thunder Dragon: Level 9/LIGHT/Thunder/3000 ATK/2000 DEF
"And with Thunder Origin Dragon's effect, since it got banished, I add another Thunder Origin Dragon - Thunder Dragon from my deck to my hand! And because I activated a monster effect from my hand, Thunder Aeon Dragon gains 300 ATK!" The two-headed dragon let out a pair of roars, as its power increased.
Thunder Aeon Dragon - Thunder Dragon: 2800 + 300 = 3100 ATK
"And now I activate the Magic card, Thunder Dragon Fusion! With this card, I am able to Fusion Summon a Thunder Fusion Monster by shuffling the required materials from my field, Banish Zone, or Graveyard to my deck! And of course, I shuffle Thunder and Lightning Dragon - Thunder Dragon, the normal Thunder Dragon, and Thunder Origin Dragon - Thunder Dragon in my Banish Zone!" The guy then started to play his guitar wildly. "Oooooh yeah! When the three colliding thunder combines, a great rockin' power is born! FUSION SUMMON! Appear now, Level 10! Thunder God Dragon - Thunder Dragon!" With a powerful clash of lightning, a large three-headed dragon emanating blue, electrifying energy appeared on the field with a strong trio of roars.
Thunder God Dragon - Thunder Dragon: Level 10/LIGHT/Thunder/3200 ATK/3200 DEF
"How's that, Academia?!" the duelist asked with a confident smirk.
"Ooh! You truly are something! Already, you have three powerful monsters on the field," the cloaked figure said in an impressed tone.
"Heh. Is that right? Then how's about this?! Battle! Thunder Rumble Dragon, you first! Attack the player directly! Lord's Thunder!" At his command, his white Thunder Dragon gathered electricity in its mouth, and fired a powerful lightning beam from it right at the cloaked figure.
"Continuous Magic, Digital Sacrifice's effect! Since my opponent declared a direct attack, I send 1 'Digimon' monster from my deck to the Graveyard to weaken the damage by its weaker stat. From my deck, I send the Dinosaur Digimon, Monochromon to the Graveyard. And between its 2300 ATK and 2200 DEF, the damage will decrease by 2200." As the figure said this and sent the selected card to the Graveyard, a black triceratops-like monster appeared and protected her from the attack.

"Oh? So that card weakens the damage dealt to you, does it? Not that it matters! From my hand, I activate Thunder Origin Dragon's effect! By discarding this card, a Thunder monster I control gains 500 ATK! I give this boost to Thunder God Dragon!" As the guitarist duelist said this, a lightning core of sort appeared before his Fusion Monster and got absorbed into it.
Thunder God Dragon - Thunder Dragon: 3200 + 500 = 3700 ATK
"And because a Thunder monster's effect was activated in my hand, Thunder Aeon Dragon and Thunder God Dragon's effects activate! For Thunder Aeon, another 300 boost!"
Thunder Aeon Dragon - Thunder Dragon: 3100 + 300 = 3400 ATK
"And for Thunder God Dragon, a card on the field is destroyed! Say goodbye to your Continuous Magic! God's Crushing Spark!" At his command, his Fusion Monster raised its lightning-engulfed claws and slammed it down, unleashing a trail of electricity straight at the figure's lone face-up card. Before it struck, however, a black shield of sort appeared and blocked the hit. "What?!"
"Monochromon's effect in my Graveyard. Once it's sent there, until my turn comes, cards I control cannot be destroyed by card effect," the figure explained.
"Looks like she really wants to protect that card for less damage," the biker LDS duelist said.
"Not like it would matter much. Once our own turn comes, we'll just finish the job," the female LDS student stated.
The guitarist duelist didn't take what she said lightly. "Hey! Don't go counting me out just yet! Thunder Aeon Dragon! Finish her! Dual Lightning Bolt Crash!" The two-headed monster did as told and unleashed a powerful pair of lightning breaths at the figure.
"With my Continuous Magic, Digital Sacrifice's effect, I now send the Skeleton Digimon, SkullGreymon to the Graveyard. Between its 3000 ATK and 2600 DEF, your monster will only be dealing 800 points of damage to me." Appearing before the figure was a giant, skeletal monster with an organic missile in its spinal cord.

"Then how about this one! Thunder God Dragon! Attack! Zeus Lightning Bolt!" At the 'Thunder Dragon' duelist's final command, his three-headed Fusion Monster breathed out a trio of destructive, electrifying blasts at the cloaked figure.
"Once more, Digital Sacrifice's effect. I send Mythical Animal Digimon, Airdramon to the Graveyard, whose ATK and DEF are both 2100." At those words, a blue dragon with a skull helmet on its head and red wings appeared and took the attack head on, lessening the damage its master will be taking.

The guitarist clicked his tongue upon seeing the Academia duelist still in the game. "I'll end my turn," he said.
"Upon your End Phase, Digital Sacrifice's effect activates. I take 100 points of damage times the total level of monsters sent to the Graveyard from its effect," the figure said, surprising the LDS duelists.
"Huh? Did I hear that right?" the female duelist asked.
"So regardless, you would've lost anyway," the biker duelist said.
"What the heck? Then you only struggled for nothing," the guitarist stated.
A smirked formed on the figure's face at their reaction, in which Qing noticed. "Find an Action Card! Hurry!" she shouted, to her allies' confusion. "Just hurry!"
"Don't know what an 'Action Card' is, don't care. Continuous Trap, activate! Demon Lord's Virus! If a card effect activates that inflicts damage to me while I have a Level 7 or higher DARK 'Digimon' monster in my Graveyard, by banishing 1 'Digimon' monster in my Graveyard, I gain the amount as Life Points plus an extra 500 for each DARK monster in my Graveyard. And the amount of Life Points I gain, my opponent takes as damage!"
"What was that?!" Qing gasped, as the LDS trio looked on in shock as they saw SkullGreymon's spirit appear behind the cloaked duelist.
(Demon Lord's Virus: Continuous Trap: Can only be activated if you have a Level 7 or higher DARK 'Digimon' monster in your Graveyard. If a card effect activates that inflicts damage to you, you can banish 1 'Digimon' monster in your Graveyard; gain Life Points from the effect instead plus 500 times the number of DARK monsters in your Graveyard. Then inflict damage to your opponent equal to the Life Points gained. If this card leaves the field by opponent's card effect, until the end of your next turn, DARK Fusion Monsters you control are unaffected by opponent's card effects.)
"So let's see... the monsters sent were level 5 Monochromon, Level 8 SkullGreymon, and Level 5 Airdramon. In total, that is 18 levels to make 1800 damage, plus 500 for SkullGreymon's DARK attribute to make 2300. Just enough to take out one of you. And I pick... you, Thunder boy," the figure said. "The damage you've been trying to inflict? Take it all back!" SkullGreymon breathed out some horrific flames from its mouth at the guitarist duelist. The flames struck the boy and forced him back, as well as burned him and his clothes.
"John!" the biker duelist called in worry, as Qing and the female LDS duelist stared on in shock at what occurred.

As soon as his Life Points dropped to zero, John's Thunder Dragons faded away, and the cloaked figure approached the defeated duelist.
"I admit, you have some skills. But sadly for you, you failed to change your fate," she said.
Qing's eyes widened at those words. Her opponent... didn't only foresee their one-on-one duel?
"Well, don't worry. You won't have to worry about losing in another duel again. After all... you won't be dueling ever again." Next everyone knew, the figure pressed a button on her Duel Disk, and a flash of purple light appear on it. Once the light died down, John was no longer there.
"Hey! What did you do to John?!" the female LDS duelist demanded.
"'John'... Do you mean... this person?" The figure held up a card for them to see. And on that card, to the Standard Duelists' surprise, was...
"John!" the male LDS duelist gasped.
"You turned him into a card?!" Qing asked.
"Of course I did. After all, such is his fate in the first place. Just as it is the rest of your fates to lose to me," the figure answered.
"Huh?! What are you talking about?!" the female LDS duelist demanded.
"Oh? Well, I guess you newcomers don't know. Unlike many duelists, I already know how a duel goes. Specifically the result of the duels. I foresaw my duel against her earlier. As for when you guys came in, I foresaw it the moment you decided to interfere with this hunt."
Ridiculous as it may sound to the LDS students, Qing knew she was telling the truth.
"Like hell that can ever be true! I'll start next! Draw!" The female LDS student drew her sixth card.
"You will meet the same fate as your friend there," the figure interrupted. "Before then, you will attempt to summon out... what was it...? A white dragon? No, it had a person on it. In any case, since destroying one of my cards can't help you, you're going to attempt to banish it. Am I wrong?"
One look at the turn taker's face and Qing and the other LDS student could tell the cloaked figure was right.
"So what if it is? Magic card, Solar Exchange! By discarding 1 'Lightlord' monster from my hand to the Graveyard, I draw two cards and send the top two cards of my deck to the Graveyard! I discard Lightlord Assassin Raiden to draw two cards! Then send the top two of my deck to the Graveyard!" She did as the card had instructed her to do. "And now I activate Lightlord Beast Wolf's effect in my Graveyard! Because he was sent there from my deck, I Special Summon him!" A portal appeared before her, and a white humanoid beast in white clothes with an axe in hand appeared on the field.
Lightlord Beast Wolf: Level 4/LIGHT/Beast-Warrior/2100 ATK/300 DEF
"Next I summon Lightlord Summoner, Luminas!" Appearing next was a blonde female in a white garment.
Lightlord Summoner, Luminas: Level 3/LIGHT/Spellcaster/1000 ATK/1000 DEF
"Next I activate her effect! By discarding a 'Lightlord' monster from my hand to the Graveyard, I am able to Special Summon a Level 4 or lower 'Lightlord' monster from my Graveyard! I send Lightlord Angel Cherubim to the Graveyard and Special Summon back Raiden!" As she said this, her newly summoned monster's hands glowed and opened up another portal. Appearing out of it was a young man in purple, daggers in hand.
Lightlord Assassin Raiden: Level 4/LIGHT/Warrior/1700 ATK/1000 DEF
"Raiden is also a Tuner Monster. As such, I tune my Level 3 Luminas with my Level 4 Raiden! With the mighty dragon in thou command, I praise thee as my guardian! SYNCHRO SUMMON! Level 7, Lightlord Ark Michael!" Now appearing on the field was a big, white, feathery dragon, with a man in gold armor with golden wings on the back riding on top of it.
Lightlord Ark Michael: Level 7/LIGHT/Dragon/2600 ATK/2000 DEF
"And now I activate Michael's effect! By paying 1000 of my Life Points, I banish a card on the field! And the only suitable target for that is your Continuous Magic! Expelling Light!" Michael's sword glowed as he shot a beam at the figure's spell.
"Oh no! Whatever should I do?" the 'Digimon' duelist questioned with such sarcasm. A smirk then formed on her lips. "Not~ From my Graveyard, I activate Airdramon's effect! Once, while this card is in my Graveyard, if a card effect activates that targets a card I control, by paying half my Life Points, I change the target to something else!"
Hearing that shocked Qing and the LDS Duelists. "What was that?!" the 'Lightlord' duelist gasped.
"Now then, about that monster you worked so hard to summon, take it back. Or rather, don't! God Tornado!" Airdramon appeared between Michael's effect and its master's cards. It flapped its wings at great strength, and forced the effect to redirect its course back at the caster. In the blink of an eye, the monster had disappeared.

"And if the new targeted card is a monster that left the field by the effect, half of its weaker stat will be inflicted to the opponent! Spinning Needle!" At her words, Airdramon flapped its wings once more, this time producing a cutting vacuum at the female LDS duelist. The vacuum cut the ground and struck its target, sending her flying.

"Leila!" the remaining LDS duelist called.
The cloaked duelist leapt over to the girl's way and knelt down to her. "It's quite saddening. You really did try, but nothing escapes fate," she said, turning the defeated duelist into a card. Once the deed was done, the figure turned to her remaining opponents. "Two to go~"
"Why you! How dare you do that to my friends?!" the last LDS duelist demanded, starting his turn.
"No, stop!" Qing called. "You need to take this chance to run!"
"Don't be a fool! I'm a duelist of LDS! I refuse to let this invader be! Draw!" He drew his sixth card.
Qing's eyes widened at his decision. "NO!"
"From my hand, I activate Super Quantum Ranger Red Layer's effect! If I control no monsters, I Special Summon this card!" Appearing on the field was a red-suited warrior, one that reminded Qing of the Japanese/American superhero shows she used to watch with her friends.
Super Quantum Ranger Red Layer: Level 5/FIRE/Warrior/2000 ATK/800 DEF
"Next, I summon Super Quantum Ranger Green Layer!" Appearing next was a green, mage-like warrior.
Super Quantum Ranger Green Layer: Level 4/WIND/Spellcaster/1600 ATK/1400 DEF
"When Green Layer is summoned to the field, I Special Summon a 'Super Quant' monster from my hand! Come, Super Quantum Ranger Blue Layer!" Next to appear was a blue feminine-like monster with seemingly red hair.
Super Quantum Ranger Blue Layer: Level 3/WATER/Psychic/1200 ATK/2000 DEF
"When Blue Layer is summoned, I add a 'Super Quant' card from my deck to my hand! I add Super Quantal Finisher Alphan Ball and activate it! With this card, if I control 3 or more 'Super Quantum' monsters with different names, cards my opponent controls are shuffled into their deck, and my opponent Special Summons a monster from their Extra Deck, ignoring the monster's Summoning conditions!" Hearing those words shocked Qing and the Fusion duelist.
"You idiot!" the 'Naturu' duelist shouted, much to the 'Super Quant' duelist's surprise and confusion. "Why would you ever do that?!"
Before he could ask what she could mean, the cloaked duelist let out a hysterical laugh. "Wow! When I saw it on your turn, I was wondering if it meant you did something smart and just ended your turn without attacking me this turn. To think it was because of you. I thank you for your foolishness~"
"'Foolishness'?!" the LDS duelist questioned.
"Through your card's effect, I Special Summon out this monster!" the figure called. A gust of wind then blew at those words, and dark clouds covered the night sky. "Synthesized from the many organs. Arise and bring chaos to all who dare oppose you! Appear, Level 9, Composition Digimon, Kimeramon!" Leaves rustling was heard, followed by some trees tumbling down and hitting the ground. Eventually, appearing out of the woods, was an odd yet terrifying monster. From what Qing could see, it had body parts of the level 5 and higher monsters in the figure's Graveyard, as well as parts from undoubtedly other 'Digimon' monsters.
Composition Digimon, Kimeramon: Level 9/DARK/Zombie/4000 ATK/4000 DEF

If this card is to be destroyed by an opponent's card effect, you may banish 1 'Digimon' monster in your Graveyard to negate and destroy the effect. On the End Phase of the turn this card destroys a monster by card effect, inflict damage to your opponent equal to half the monster(s) combined ATK.)
"A monster with an ATK of 4000?!" Qing gasped out.
Even the LDS duelist flinched at the sight of how powerful this new monster was. Despite how powerful it clearly was, he continued to make his move. "I activate the Magic card, Foolish Burial! With this card, I am able to send Super Quantal Fairy Alphan from my deck to the Graveyard! And with it send to the Graveyard, I activate Super Quantal Finisher Alphan Ball's second effect in my Graveyard! By banishing it and Fairy Alphan in my Graveyard, I activate the Field Magic, Super Quantal Mech Ship Magnacarrier from my deck!" As he banished the two cards in his Graveyard, a big space ship of sort descended from the sky and landed on his side of the field.
The cloaked Academia duelist simply let out a whistle at the display. "So, you can activate a Magic Card from your deck. And a field magic at that. Gotta say, I am actually a bit impressed now," she said.
"If you like that, you will hate this. With the effect of my Field Magic, by discarding 1 card from my hand to the Graveyard, I target a 'Super Quant' monster on my field and Special Summon from my Extra Deck a 'Super Quantal Mech Beast' Xyz Monster with the same attribute as the targeted monster, using it as an Xyz Material! And with this effect, I discard a card and use Red Layer to Xyz Summon! Take control of the red lion and prowl about the field! XYZ SUMMON! Rank 5! Super Quantal Mech Beast Magnaliger!" As the LDS duelist's targeted monster jumped into the ship, a large, red mechanical lion with an orb orbiting around it emerged. Once it landed on the field, it let out a ferocious roar.
Super Quantal Mech Beast Magnaliger: Rank 5/FIRE/Machine/2600 ATK/2000 DEF
"I'm not done yet! My Field Magic's effect isn't once per turn! I discard this last card in my hand, and target Green Layer! Take control of the green falcon and soar sky high! XYZ SUMMON! Rank 4! Super Quantal Mech Beast Aeroboros!" The green ranger monster jumped into the ship next. Emerging out from the top of the ship was a green mechanical falcon, an orb circling around it.
Super Quantal Mech Beast Aeroboros: Rank 4/WIND/Machine/2200 ATK/2400 DEF
"Not done yet!" The guy then raced to a tree and snagged an Action card from its branch. "I discard this Action Card from my hand to the Graveyard and use Blue Layer to Xyz Summon! Take control of the blue dolphins and surf across the deepest sea! XYZ SUMMON! Rank 3! Super Quantal Mech Beast Grampulse!" Like the previous two monsters, the 'Super Quant' Duelist's last non-Xyz monster jumped into the ship. Emerging out of it was a pair of blue mechanical dolphins being held by a hanger.
Super Quantal Mech Beast Grampulse: Rank 3/WATER/Machine/1800 ATK/2800 DEF
"Wow! Three Xyz Monsters at one! And with only one material per," the cloaked duelist said in an impressed tone.
While Qing can agree that the play was impressive, she could also tell that the Academia duelist was being sarcastic in that statement. Her ally, on the other hand, was oblivious to the tone.
"I'm not done yet! I activate Magnacarrier's second effect! By sending this card to the Graveyard, three 'Super Quantal Mech Beast' Xyz monsters I control will be used as Xyz Materials for the Xyz Summon of a special monster!" As he said this, the ship disappeared, and his three Xyz monsters leapt into the air. Like another archetype Qing knew of in the GX anime, the three monsters combined together to form a big robot. Orbiting around the robot were six orbs.
Super Quantal Mech God King Great Magnus: Rank 12/LIGHT/Machine/3600 ATK/3200 DEF
"Rank 12! Super Quantal Mech God King Great Magnus! Any Xyz Materials attached to the Xyz Monsters used to summon it are now its own materials!" the LDS Duelist said in pride.
"Well, it certainly does look strong! Makes me wonder how it pars with my monster," the cloaked duelist said.
"Then it's a good thing it won't, because I activate Great Magnus's effect! He gains his effects depending on the number of materials he has with different names! Since he has at least two materials with different names, by detaching one overlay unit, a card on the field gets shuffled back into the deck! In this case, your Fusion Monster is shuffled into your Extra Deck! Super Quant Great Null!" At that command, one of Great Magnus's overlay units went into its chest, where the lion's head was. The head opened its mouth with a roar, and a beam of sort shot out of it.
"No! Not my monster!" the cloaked duelist exclaimed. "... Just kidding~" The moment she said that, Kimeramon let out a roar of its own and thrusted one of its four arms at the beam, blocking it.
"Wait, what?!" the LDS Duelist gasped.
"Heheheh. You didn't think it would be that easy, did you? When you shuffled Demon Lord's Virus into my deck, you also activated its effect. If it leaves the field by card effect, DARK Fusion monsters I control are unaffected by opponent's card effects until the end of my turn."
To hear that one of her cards had such a back-up effect was a huge surprise for Qing and her ally.
"You... You thought this far?!" the LDS Duelist questioned.
"'Thought'? You are sorely mistaken, boy. I've already said it; I foresaw the outcome of this duel. You should be happy, though. You last a little longer than your friends," the cloaked figure said.
"Making it sound like it's already your win... I'll show you!" He rushed to another Action card, this one hiding in a bush. He picked up the card and grimaced upon seeing that it wasn't a card that could help him at the moment. "Damn it... I end my turn..."
"Hm? What was that about showing me?" the Fusion Duelist questioned. "Well, not that it matters. It's your turn now, girl~ Show me what you really got~"
Qing couldn't help but feel nervous with those words. "First on the End Phase, I activate the Continuous Trap, Naturu Holy Tree! With it, once per turn, I tribute a Plant-type monster I control to Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Insect-type monster, or tribute an Insect-type monster to Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Plant-type monster! I release Naturu Hydrangea to summon out my Tuner Monster, Naturu Butterfly!" As Qing said this, her lone monster glowed and turned into a Butterfly in Defense Mode.
Naturu Butterfly: Level 3/EARTH/Insect/500 ATK/1200 DEF
'This'll give me some defense at least,' she then thought, before starting her turn.
"Draw!" She drew a new card from her deck. "I summon Naturu Antjaw!" She slapped her drawn card on the Duel Disk, and appearing on her field next to her butterfly monster was a big ant hugging a seed.
Naturu Antjaw: Level 2/EARTH/Insect/400 ATK/200 DEF
"I end my turn with that!" Qing ended.
"Wait a second, that's it?!" the LDS Duelist gasped. "As you were someone Reiji told us to assist, I expected more than just a summon! And a weak monster to boot!"
"It's not like I can do anything else! In case if you haven't noticed, I have no cards in hand, and the only cards I have are the ones face-up on my field! I can't pull off some super miracle draw!"
"If you kids don't mind, it's my turn now," the cloaked duelist said, drawing her next card. "Draw. Battle! Kimeramon, make them suffer! Attack Great Magnus! Heat Viper!" At her order, the Fusion monster's four arms started to glow dangerously orange.
"I activate Naturu Butterfly's effect!" Qing intervened. "Once per turn, when my opponent's monster declares an attack, by sending the top card of my deck to the Graveyard, I can negate the attack! Whirlwind!" As she said this, her butterfly monster fluttered its wings as fast and hard as it could to stop the attack.
As good of a plan as it was, she sadly forgot one thing. "You've forgotten, haven't you? Demon Lord's Virus's effect, that is." Qing widened her eyes in realization to what the enemy was going to point out. "All you did was waste a card and its effect. My monster, on the other hand, will destroy his monster!" Kimeramon ignored the wind being blown to its face and charged at its targeted opponent.
"Action Magic, Take Flight! This card grants a monster targeted for an attack 600 ATK!" the 'Super Quant' Duelist exclaimed, activating the card he grabbed earlier. "Now you will meet your doom!"
Super Quantal Mech God King Great Magnus: 3600 + 600 = 4200 ATK
Despite the fact that his monster is now stronger, the cloaked duelist simply laughed. "What a futile effort. From my hand, I activate the Instant Magic, Dual Fusion - Battle Fusion! When a face-up monster I control battles, until the end of the Damage Step, it gains the ATK of the monster it battles!"
"What?!" the LDS Duelist gasped, as a blue aura appeared around Kimeramon. The Fusion Monster let out a ferocious roar upon feeling a great increase in ATK and dispersed heated rays from its arms, straight at Great Magnus and obliterated it and its master.

Once the attack was over, the last LDS Duelist was seen lying on the floor, with many scraps scattered about around him.
"Oh no!" Qing gasped. She attempted to rush to the boy, when Kimeramon stood in her way. The way the monster was looking down on her like a bug- no... something lower than that, sent fear all over her body.
While her monster kept the otherworldly duelist occupied, the cloaked duelist made her leisure way to the defeated duelist. "And then... there was one," she simply said, as she turned him into a card.
Watching the downed boy get turned like so broke Qing out of her daze, and she made a run for it, with her two monsters following.
Seeing her run like so brought a smirk on the Academia Duelist's face. "Oh, so we're playing this game again, I see~ Very well then." Kimeramon let down one of its arms to its master, letting her up on its shoulder. "Get her." With that order, Kimeramon spread out its wings and flew after the fleeing duelist.
'I'm gonna die! I'm gonna die! I can't believe I'm going to die because of a card game!' Qing thought, as she sprinted through the Jungle Area.
"You're not going anywhere~" she heard. Looking behind her, she saw her pursuer and her monster catching up from the air. "I don't think I mentioned this at all to you. When Kimeramon destroys a monster by battle, he can attack again!"
Those words made Qing panic even more. "C-Continuous Trap, Naturu Holy Tree's effect! I switch Antjaw with a Level 4 or lower Plant-type monster! Come, Naturu Beans!" Switching with her targeted monster was her trio of beans with a pod in Defense Mode.
Naturu Beans: Level 2/EARTH/Plant/100 ATK/1200 DEF
"No matter what you do, it's useless! First let's get rid of that bug that tried to stop Kimeramon. Heat Viper!" At her command, Kimeramon unleashed a dangerous breath attack at Butterfly. The attack struck, and sent Qing and Beans flying.
Qing let out a scream as she skidded across the ground in pain, with her remaining monster stopping nearby.
"And with the destruction of another monster, get him, Kimeramon! Heat Viper!" Like before, Kimeramon let out another breath attack, this time right at Beans.
The trio flinched upon seeing the attack coming and hid in the pod. The shelter then grew bigger, big enough to protect Qing from harm. When the attack struck, unlike with the previous two monsters, Beans still remained on the field, much to the cloaked duelist's confusion.
"Hm? That's weird. Shouldn't it be destroyed by now?"
"O-Once..." came Qing's voice, the girl struggling to get back up. "Once per turn... Naturu Beans can't be destroyed by battle..."
"Oh. So that's why."
"And also... since you targeted him for an attack... while he's face-up... 500 points of damage is inflicted to my opponent! Beam Bomber!" As she said this, the pod opened up, and one of the beans shot out at the cloaked figure.
The opposing duelist was taken aback by the effect and raised her disk up to block it. The force behind Bean's attack nearly made her fall off her monster, had she not grabbed hold of its shoulder with her free hand. Not only that, it made her hood fall off her head, and confirmed Qing's assumption of who she was.
"I knew it..." she spoke. "You're Viola, aren't you?"
The face concealed under the hood was none other than her own face. Her hair was short and purple, and her eyes were indigo.
Qing: 4000 LP
Viola: 750 LP
"So you've figured it out. Then again, how can you not have?" Viola said.
"Why are you doing this?!" Qing asked. "From what Serena told me, from what I saw in those visions, you're not the kind of girl who would do this! What happened to you this whole time? Serena's really worried about you! Did Academia do something to you? If we can just talk-"
"Okay, quick question," Viola interrupted. "Who the hell is Serena?"
That question made Qing widen her eyes even more, puzzled that her opponent had asked that question. "... What? What do you mean by that? She's your friend! Serena's been holding on to your 'Moonlight' deck in hope that-"
"My 'friend'? I don't know what sort of nonsense you're blabbering about, but I have no friends. I have acquaintances, and rivals. But I know no one by the name of Serena. Also, I've had my 'Digimon' deck for a very long time. Not once had I used any other decks."
Hearing that claim, as well as seeing her unwavering eyes, Qing knew something was wrong. She saw some of Viola's past; she and Serena were best friends, and in that one duel they had, Viola was the one using 'Moonlights' at the time. And from what Serena said back in the parking lot, it wasn't just to try out a different deck; Viola's original deck was 'Moonlights'. The girl in front of her was clearly Viola, so how could she say such a thing?
"In any case, I would want to continue my Battle, but unfortunately, Kimeramon can only make additional attacks after he destroys a monster. Not only that, but in my vision, this turn isn't the turn where you lose in the first place. I end-" Viola stopped herself when she saw something on the ground. Jumping off her monster, she saw it was a card with an 'A' on the back. Recalling what the 'Super Quant' Duelist did before he met his doom, she picked up the card and couldn't help but laugh. "I take back what I was going to say. Your doom seems to be now! Action Magic, Wonder Chance! A monster I control can attack again!"
Qing flinched at those words and continued her run.
"That measly 500 damage is nothing compared to what will be done to you! Kimeramon! Heat Viper!" Viola ordered her monster. Kimeramon didn't need to be told twice and fired another dose of its dangerous breath attack at Naturu Beans, who sent out another one of its trio to Viola. While the girl blocked the second damage like she did the first time, her Fusion Monster's attack struck true to Qing's remaining monster.
Qing: 4000 LP
Viola: 250 LP
"And now... for the final strike~"
Qing: 100 LP
Viola: 300 LP
"But that won't stop the attack!" Viola retorted. "Now strike, my monster!"
Kimeramon let out a roar, which made Qing pick up the pace.
