Over the next couple of days, Jay and the Agrabah trio were getting closer and closer, especially with Jamilah and Aziz. To Jay, he saw them more like his siblings rather than close friends such as Mal, Evie Carlos, and even Ben.

But what if the Agrabah trio were his actual siblings?

From time to time if Jay was honest, hedidhave some thoughts of maybe the Agrabah siblings blood related but he shook that thought away as it was impossible to be related to them. If he was, then Aladdin and Jasmine had lots of explaining to do. In addition, ever since he met Jamilah, Jay thought she was a cool girl and was very kind to him, she even slipped a tiger charm in his pocket when he first visited Agrabah. At that point, he was in a way falling for her but his gut told him not to and he only saw her as a friend at the moment.

Whereas in Jamilah's case, she was bombarded with questions such as'Did you have a crush on Jay?', and 'Do you like Jay more than a friend?'ever since she met Jay and had been close with him since then. In truth, Jamilahdidlike Jay and so did her brothers but she liked Jay as her second brother, meanwhile, she liked Shang more than her friend and tutor but she wouldn't let that get to her head until Jahir came home.

But the question is…how? How Jamilah and her brothers were going to finally find out if Jay was their brother?

There's only one way to find out…

One early morning, half an hour before breakfast started, Jamilah and Aziz gathered in Emir's dorm to discuss their plan to find out if Jay was their brother.

"I dunno guys," Emir began, sounding skeptical with a soft sigh escaping his lips. "This whole looking for our brother is getting to me. Like, we're at a point where we have doubts, especially me, like if Jay is our brother or not since he's so complicated."

"Aw Emir," Jamilah said as she tilted her head to the side. "I understand where you're coming from but don't be a doubting Thomas. We're nearly there solving the puzzle to this missing brother mystery!"

"I agree with Jamie here," Aziz nodded.

Emir sighed again and ran his hand through his hair. "Alright then, do you two have any plans?" He arched a brow at his older siblings.

"Well, I was in a discussion with Lonnie and Nina about it last night and they're telling me I should pluck out a strand of Jay's hair and ours to do a DNA test."

Hearing this, Aziz huffed. "Huh, that would be an excellent idea!"

"'Would be?'That is an excellent idea!" Emir chirped.

"Yeah, I'd figured that out," Jamilah said.

"So when you're gonna get Jay's strand of hair?" Aziz asked.

"Today," Jamilah replied simply.

"Oh perfect! Make sure when you pluck Jay's hair, it must have the follicle," Aziz commanded and Jamilah nodded in understanding.

"Noted."

"Well then, let's just keep our fingers crossed," Aziz breathed.

"I second that," answered Emir

"Third," Jamilah said with a small and hopeful smile on her face.

With that said, the trio discussed a few more things about their missing brother before they prepared themselves to leave Emir's dorm to go to the dining table together for breakfast.

…..

During free period….

Jamilah had just left math class and decided to revise her work with Shang in the library when she suddenly stopped in her tracks and saw Jay at his locker, putting in a couple of books.

The young princess bit her lip for a moment. If she was honest, she was excited yet nervous about finally finding Jahir. At this moment, she felt her palms sweaty and her heart racing, but she shook her head and walked oh so very lightly so that Jay wouldn't hear her approaching behind him. By the time Jamilah was behind Jay, she bit her lip once again as she leaned over and carefully plucked a strand of hair before he reacted to someone touching his hair. Knowing Jay, he has quick reflexes and he doesn't like when people touch his hair.

When Jamilah had carefully and quickly plucked Jay's hair strand, Jay slightly flinched and turned around. Jamilah saw this and moved from behind Jay immediately before he saw her.

When Jay saw that there was no one behind him, he raised a brow turned back around, and noticed Jamilah leaning on a locker beside his locker with her hands behind her.

Jay blinked and frowned at the young princess's appearance. "Oh, um hey Jamie, how long have you been here?"

Jamilah shrugged casually. "Just now."

"Really? I didn't hear you walking."

The girl had a small smile on her lips. "I have feathered feet."

Hearing this, Jay huffed as he slammed his locker shut and folded his muscular arms around his chest.

"I believe you," he told her.

Jamilah gave a short nod and smiled at Jay. "So are you gonna go to practice now?"

Jay beamed. "You bet! I honestly can't wait to beat those Neverland boys!"

"Can't wait to see it this weekend."

"Are you gonna cheer for me?" Jay asked, wriggling his brows.

Jamilah had a light flush on her cheeks. "Maybe."

"Ah come on," Jay unfolded his arms and very lightly punched Jamilah on her shoulder. "You're like my biggest cheerleader here."

"I thought it was Lonnie?"

Now it was Jay's turn to flush. "Erm okay, you got me there. Her too but you hang out with me most of the time."

"Fair enough."

"So are you gonna cheer for me?" He was hopeful.

Jamilah smiled at him, genuinely. "Of course."

"Nice! Thanks!"

"You're welcome."

Jay's brown eyes darted from Jamilah's countenance to her left hand, which was behind her back.

Curious, Jay asked, "So, what did you get there behind you, princess?"

Jamilah merely flinched but she remained composed as she moved her hand from behind and showed Jay her palm. "Nothing." She had to shove the hair strand in her pants pocket and hoped it would stay in there.

"Oh," Jay was slightly unconvinced but he shook his burly shoulders. "Ok then."

"Yeah."

There was silence between the two before Jay sighed.

"Very well then," Jay said, moving away from his locker and adjusting his bag. "I'm going to practice now. Catch you later, Jamie," he then waved and walked past her.

Jamilah returned the wave as she turned when Jay walked past her, leaving the hallway.

Once Jamilah saw that Jay was out of earshot, she gently shoved her left hand back into her pants pocket and felt the hair strand. Jamilah sighed in relief.

She hoped that this piece of evidence would determine Jay's true identity.

….

Still during the free period…

Jamilah meets up with her brothers in Aziz's dorm as she shows them Jay's hair strand.

"Whoa," Emir said, his brown eyes widened in shock. "That's a long hair strand."

"Yup, it's almost as long as Shang's," Jamilah smothered a giggle.

"Did Jay notice that you plucked his hair?" Aziz asked.

Jamilah shook her head. "Nope. But he did flinch and I had to move fast before he saw me….and aren't you two supposed to be at practice now?"

"Yeah, but I told Coach that I had an emergency," Aziz replied." Meanwhile, Emir here told him that he was going to use the toilet."

"And I did," Emir nodded. "And trust me, those cupcakes with the icing didn't go well with my stomach," the youngest sibling began to rub his tummy gently.

Upon hearing their brother's explanation, Aziz gave his brother a look while Jamilah just shook her head.

"…ok then, and since I don't want you guys to get in trouble with Coach Jenkins for being very late, just pluck out a strand of your hair and I'll place them into different Ziploc bags," Jamilah commanded her brothers and they obliged.

As the two brothers plucked out their hair, Jamilah looked around and found a box with Ziploc bags on the coffee table. So, the young princess went over to the coffee table pulled out two bags since Jay's hair strand was already in one, and returned to the group.

"Here," Jamilah stretched out her hand. "Put your hair sample in these bags."

Aziz and Emir took the bags from their sister, opened the bag, and gently placed their hair samples before zipping them up and giving them back to Jamilah.

"Sis, so you pluck out your hair sample?" Emir asked, arching a brow.

Jamilah nodded. "Yeah."

"Oh."

"Alright, like how I collected your hair samples, only Mom and Dad's left," Jamilah told her brothers. "I hope all of this works out."

"Me too since hair DNA testing isn't always correct some of the time," Aziz said as he bit his lip. "At least what I found on the internet during lunch."

"Let's see. And do me a favor and go back to practice. I don't want Coach to send others to get you two."

"Yes ma'am!"

….

The next day, the Agrabah trio went home as teachers were having a meeting and this week was revision week.

"Mom, Dad look, I collected hair samples," Jamilah said, sounding eager as she showed her parents the hair samples in their respective ziploc bags with each of them labeled. Aziz and Emir were there as well.

"That's wonderful, Sweetie," Jasmine told her daughter, clasping her hands and bringing them to her chest.

"I know, the only samples left to collect are yours."

"Oh!" Jasmine's eyes widened. "Do you want us to pluck out our hair samples too?"

"Yeah Mom," Aziz replied.

"Alright then, give us a moment," Aladdin said as he and his wife began to pluck out their hair. They winced slightly as they plucked out their hair before Aziz took a step towards them and dropped each sample into different bags.

Once all of the samples were collected, the Agrabah royal family stood there in silence for a few moments before Jamilah spoke.

"Honestly, I hope these hair samples work out as looking for Jahir is getting more difficult and it's kinda draining me out."

"True that," Emir nodded.

"Oh my dear daughter, it will work out, believe me," Jasmine said reassuringly.

Jamilah averted her eyes from her mother to the ground then looked back up at her parents as something popped up in her mind. "Hey, I was wondering if I could give these samples to Genie?"

"Hmm," Aladdin leaned back and scratched his chin. "Interesting idea but I don't think Genie's magic specializes in DNA testing or anything about health."

Jamilah's shoulders slumped at her father's reply. "….oh."

"But don't worry, I'll call a private lab and meet with them so that they can do their testing in the hair samples and give us the result in a few days."

Emir frowned at his father's plan. "I thought you would get the results in 3 weeks?"

"Nah, that's a different place," Aziz assured his younger brother. "I believe each lab works differently. Right, Dad?"

"Correct," Aladdin agreed with his eldest son.

"Oh," Emir blinked and pursed his lips, flushing.

"Like how your father is going to call a private lab, just give us the samples so that we can give them for testing," Jasmine said.

Jamilah hummed. "Hmm, alright then," she then took a step forward and gave her mother the 5 hair strand samples.

"So when you guys are going to the lab?" Emir asked his parents.

"Today, Son," Aladdin replied simply but one can tell he was slightly nervous yet excited for this.

"Well, I hope it works out," Aziz sighed. He could feel his heart racing. "These past few months have been daunting, to be honest."

"I know and you three were doing so well," Jasmine said to her three children, sounding eternally grateful for looking for their brother. "Let your father and I handle the rest."

"Alright then," Aziz breathed as he shoved his into his harem pants pocket. "Let's see how everything goes."

"Agreed," Jamilah and Emir chorused.

….

For the next few days, the Agrabah royal family were becoming anxious about the hair testing that Aladdin gave days prior, especially the Agrabah trio, in particular Jamilah.

Ever since her father gave in the samples, Jamilah has been very anxious about the test results to the point that she became paranoid. Thankfully for the princess, Shang was there to comfort her.

"Jamie," Shang began, his voice gentle and comforting. "You don't have to worry so much about the result. In fact, you should be excited."

Jamilah turned herself and looked up at her friend with her hands resting on her lap. "I know but, what if the results come out negative?"

"Don't think that. The scientists know what they're doing unless they have a nefarious motive up their sleeve."

Jamilah had digested Shang's words for a moment, and he was right, the scientists knew what they were doing in regards to DNA testing between her family and Jay.

The young princess sighed softly. "Ok but what if the results come back positive and we told Jay about it, how would he react?" Jamilah asked.

As he heard that question, Shang paused, putting his index finger and thumb under his chin as he slightly lowered his head in thought. If he was honest, Shang thought the question Jamilah just asked was a difficult one. It might as well take him a moment or a minute to answer.

And Jamilah noticed.

There was a moment of silence between the two teens in Jamilah's bedroom but the silence was short lived as Jamilah spoke.

"Um, Shang….?"

"Huh?" Shang snapped out of his deep thoughts and turned his head to look at Jamilah. "Sorry about that. Well, the best way I could tell you is that I genuinely don't know. Most likely Jay would be in a state of shock and disbelief and might take him some time to process what's going on. That's the closest I can think of."

Hearing Shang's answer made Jamilah pursed her lips in a firm line.

"Fair enough, to be honest," Jamilah said, but her tone was skeptical. "I hope Jay doesn't freak out," she then rested her head on Shang's shoulder, closing her eyes and sighing softly.

Shang flinched slightly at the young princess resting her head on his shoulder but he gave her a small smile as he instinctively laced his large and warm fingers with her small and delicate ones, bringing her hand to rest on his lap.

Jamilah and Shang were becoming closer and closer as the days went by, and she was happy but Jamilah isn't ready for a relationship with him as yet until everything pertaining to her missing brother clears off.

"I hope so too," Shang said softly. "But whatever happens when this result comes out, I'm here for you, always."

As she heard Shang's words, Jamilah opened her eyes to gaze at Shang's dark ones and she could tell that he was serious.

This made Jamilah fall for Shang even more but she just doesn't want to admit it.

The princess curled her lips into a tiny smile. "Thanks, Shang."

"Of course."

While Shang was comforting Jamilah, the two didn't notice that Aziz passed by and stopped at his sister's doorway to see her and her potential boyfriend bonding. Aziz huffed softly knowing that Jamilah and Shang would be together by Christmas. And he couldn't wait for that day to come.

Aziz gave the two teens one last look before he went on his way towards his bedroom, thinking about the hair test result.

It was Friday evening when one of the royal guards got the envelope from the private lab and brought it over to the Agrabah family in Aladdin and Jasmine's bedroom, which they were shocked to be honest. They were expecting the results the next day, but since it came early, they were anxious but glad.

As Aladdin gently took the envelope from the guard and thanked him, his hands started to tremble as the moment of truth about Jay might be Jahir was in his hands.

There was a tense silence spread in the master bedroom and lingered for a moment until it was cut by Aladdin.

"Well folks, this is it," Aladdin took a deep breath, biting his bottom lip as his palms were becoming sweaty while his fingers drummed in a rhythm at the back of the envelope. "This is the moment we're all been waiting for the last 17 years."

"I found it hard to believe to be honest," Jasmine shook her head, sighing softly. "But the results are here and I'm feeling a gush of anxiety and excitement washing over me right now."

Aziz nodded in agreement with his mother. "I'm with Mom here, but Dad, just take a deep breath and tear the envelope."

Aladdin bobbed his head as he obliged to his eldest son's command. Once he took out the result from the envelope, he opened the result and him along with Jasmine read it keenly and their eyes were immediately widened.

The results came back positive.

Jay was their biological son.

Jahir was Jay.

Jasmine gasped and covered her mouth as she leaned back. Her eyes began to glisten as she couldn't believe what she was seeing, while Aladdin just sat there, trying his best to say something but it seemed as if words got stuck in his throat and their kids noticed.

"Mom, Dad, what is it? What did the results say? Is Jay our brother or what?" Jamilah asked as anxiety kicked her.

"Yeah guys, what did it say?" Emir joined. He could feel his heart racing more than normal.

"J-Jay," Aladdin stammered. "Jay is your brother. Jahir is Jay."

Once the Agrabah trio heard their father's answer, they erupt into cheers, with Jamilah hugging her younger brother and they jumped around happily while Aziz did a triple backflip.

The siblings couldn't believe it, after so many months of looking for him, having doubts and theories, Jahir was finally home.

Only thing left is to tell Jay that he was the missing brother all along.

When the kids' excitement had died down, they composed themselves and Aziz asked, "Really? I can't believe this. Lemme see that result," he then gently took the paper from his father and read the result along with his younger siblings. As they finished reading, the siblings were left stunned. It was all true, Jay was their brother!

"After all these years, my little boy has finally come home," Jasmine sniffed as she wept softly. She was crying tears of joy. "My Jahir is home and I'm so, so happy!" She rested her head on Aladdin's shoulder and he saw this, so he wrapped his arm around her shoulder.

"I knew that there was something about Jay that just didn't sit right with me when your mother and I first saw him," Aladdin said. "From the looks and everything, he doesn't even act like Jafar, he acts like me in order to survive on the Isle."

Aziz shrugged. "Yeah, we could have figured."

"And what's even funnier is that I was telling Mulan and Shang earlier this week about Jay and even showed them the photos of Jay and they too said that Jahir looks like Jasmine and acts like me," the older man slapped his forehead and shook his head in amusement. "But like your mother said, we're happy that Jay is home. We can finally be at peace."

"Yeah, all thanks to the three of you," Jasmine sniffed again as she smiled gratefully and lovingly at her children.

Jamilah saw this and blushed, twirling her right foot slightly. "Aw shucks, Mom. Thanks."

"We're very proud of you three," Aladdin told the three teens with a huge grin on his face. "Thank you. Thank you so much!"

"You're welcome, Dad," the Agrabah trio chorused, smiling.

There was nothing but happiness and relief filled the air in Aladdin and Jasmine's bedroom as they found out Jay was blood related. While that seems to be a joy to have Jay back after 17 years of being missing, the question is how would Jay take the news that he was royalty? Well, there was one way to find out.

The next day, it was Saturday morning when Jay arrived at the Agrabah palace since he texted Jamilah that he was going to visit them since according to him, he kind of felt bored at Auradon Prep in the evening prior.

As soon as Jay was in the family room, he saw that almost everyone was weirdly happy. Don't get Jay wrong, he doesn't mind seeing the Agrabah family and company looking merry but they were unusually happy, especially when they saw him. If he was honest with himself, he felt weirded out and curious.

"You guys seem to be oddly happy today," Jay said as Aziz passed him. "Could y'all spill the beans?" He arched a brow.

Aziz shook his head. "No can do lil- Jay."

Jay frowned.

"Okay…" Jay sounded wary as he leaned back.

"Ah, don't worry about it," Aziz reassured Jay as he patted him on his shoulder. "You'll find out at supper."

Jay's brown eyes lit up at the mention of supper. "Ooh, what are we gonna have for supper?"

Aziz shrugged. "No idea, but you'll see."

"Alright then. I can't wait!"

Hearing this, Aziz couldn't help but smile at his younger twin fondly and Jay noticed but didn't say anything other than return the gesture.

….

It was around 6:21 P.M. when everyone was having supper. So far, everyone around the dining table seemed to be normal rather than being oddly happy this morning and Jay seemed to be relieved.

'Alright, so far so good,' Jay thought as he bit into his barbecued chicken drumstick, which he hummed in delight as the flavors melted on his taste buds. Hopefully after supper, Jay was going to thank Genie for this wonderful meal.

"Hmmm!"

While everyone else was eating, at the front of the dining table, Aladdin and Jasmine exchanged looks, wondering if this was the right time to announce that Jay was their biological son.

"Aladdin, are you sure this is the right time to announce the news?" Jasmine asked, her voice soft as if she was whispering to him.

"Of course, my love," Aladdin replied as he slipped his hand in hers, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "It's going to work out, trust me."

Or so he thought.

Jasmine pursed her lips and smothered a sigh before saying, "Okay."

Aladdin smiled at his wife. "Let's do this."

Jasmine nodded.

With that said, Aladdin rose from his seat as well as his wife as Aladdin cleared his throat to gain everyone's attention, and it worked.

Jay looked up from his supper to the sultan and sultana standing at the front, frowning while holding his barbecue chicken.

"Huh?"

The sultan took a deep breath and said, "Good evening everyone, I hope all you guys are enjoying the food thanks to Genie."

On the left side of the dining table, Genie turned away shyly in his chair as he blushed and battered his long, exaggerated eyelashes. "Oh stop it, Al, you're making me blush," he said in a high pitched feminine voice.

The teens except Jordan laughed softly at Genie's actions.

Aladdin chuckled. "Oh Genie…Anyways," his eyes were glued on Jay. "So Jay, how are you liking your visit here from the first time you came here?"

Upon hearing the sultan's question, Jay swallowed his food and cleared his throat before answering. "Uh, it's great! I really enjoyed it here. It feels like I'm actually home as I always wanted to come here."

At the right side of the table, Lonnie's face softened, as did Shang, Jordan and the Agrabah trio when they heard Jay say that.

"Oh Jay…" Lonnie said sadly.

"Well I'm glad that you like it here," Aladdin smiled at the long haired boy. "And my wife and I would like to make an announcement, specifically to you, Jay."

Jay's eyes widened and his heart skipped a beat as he pointed towards himself. "Me?"

"Yes, Dear," Jasmine responded.

"Um…ok, what's the announcement?" Jay asked warily. He in a way had an idea what this announcement was about.

Aladdin and Jasmine exchanged loving and excited looks while everyone else was waiting in anticipation of the announcement.

Everyone else knew what the announcement was.

After the couple exchanged looks, they focused their attention on Jay and Aladdin declared, "Jay, I know this is hard for you to take in but ... .you are our biological son."

The dining room dropped silent as Aladdin made that announcement and all eyes were on Jay. Not even a sound of a pin drop could be heard.

Jay's jaw dropped as he heard this shocking bombshell as well as dropping his chicken and biscuit.

"What?!" Jay exclaimed, expressing his shock.

To say that Jay was utterly stunned by this news was an understatement and it was almost certain that he was not going to take this news well.

AN: I'm alive everyone! Trust me!
