The Magical Academy of Gatewell City is a magic-based academy that is located within the City-State of Gatewell City. Currently run by an eccentric Headmaster known as Arthur Clarke whose known for his political ties, the Magical Academy of Gatewell City boasts some of the best in magic education, and even boasts some of the best in education. No matter, they have been in existence for five centuries.
The Academy itself has been sought after by various groups in the world for its power that it holds. Whether it's politicians seeking their influence, cults wanting the power that is within, and those who just want the power inside to wreak havoc on the realm itself. However, it is protected by its allies, and the guards and faculty alike who value what the Academy offers, and aim to protect it from those who would threaten the Academy, or even use its power to harm others.
Despite Arthur's political ties, the Academy itself remains impartial politically, and it is also watched over by the Council of Elders, who help protect the Academy from falling into corruption through checks and balances, alongside many other methods. Here, students get to learn the Schools of Magic including the Elemental, Alteration, Psychic, Medical, Summoning, Resonance, and even Mysticism Schools of Magic. Not only this, but students who enroll will also get to learn the many survival skills they need to not just survive out in the world, but thrive in it, too!
The school houses a great chunk of professors and not only that, but also a load of students who want to learn magic. This is because in comparison to a lot of magic academies, the Magical Academy of Gatewell City has a low barrier of entry, along with a healthy amount of funds and even political ties that allow the academy itself to keep thriving for centuries to come. Arthur Clarke was a professor of another magic-based academy prior to becoming the Headmaster of the Magical Academy of Gatewell City, but he was removed from his position after a disagreement with some of the higher-ups. However, after the previous Headmaster was killed, thanks to Arthur's political ties, he was able to secure a spot within the Magical Academy of Gatewell City as its very Headmaster.
