Chapter 11 – Operation: Megan's Birthday
Sammy could swear she was forgetting something but she had no idea what it could be.
"What am I forgetting, am I forgetting a big day or something hmm maybe I'm just overthinking things yeah that's probably it but still…" She muttered to herself.
Both Tommy and Sammy were sitting on the park bench, Tommy was reading his magazine and Sammy was thinking to herself, it was February 15th, the day after Valentine's day and Sammy was wondering if she was forgetting something.
"Are you okay, what's wrong" The Pikachu asked her as he put down his magazine.
"I'm fine I just feel like I'm forgetting something but it could just be me…"
Tommy smiled at his friend as he picked up the Magazine again and continued to read it as he said "Yeah could be…"
February 16th, A Day Later…
Team Ace were in a forest called Sparkling Forest and they were looking for a Cleffa who had somehow wandered off and Sammy still kept thinking about what she was forgetting, she still couldn't remember it and hadn't stopped thinking about it ever since yesterday, she continued to wonder as she watched her friends shoot attack at Pokémon after Pokémon knocking all of them out.
February 17th…
"welcome back to… The Pokémon Game Show" the TV Blurted out as Sammy walked into the living room and saw that Tommy and Megan were watching a show on TV and saw that Megan was asleep and was leaning her head on Tommy's shoulder while Tommy smiled down at her as he continued to watch TV, she smiled at them, they looked so content and happy but the opposite could be said for Sammy, what was she forgetting, it was starting to slowly come back to her but she still couldn't fully remember it.
February 18th…
Tommy had bought himself a laptop and was playing on it whilst Megan watched him as they were sat on the sofa, Sammy looked at the calendar again and noticed a little red circle around February 25th and some writing, she moved closer to the Calendar and studied the date closely, she hadn't noticed the circle before, it said 'February 25th Megan's Birthday'.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, how could I forget such an important day" Sammy screamed as she ran out of the room leaving a bewildered Megan and Tommy behind.
"Uhhhh what was that all about" Megan asked the astonished Electric Type.
"Um no Idea Meg" Tommy blinked in confusion at Sammy's weird actions.
…
"How could I forget my own best friend's birthday, I'm the worst friend in the world" Sammy sighed in guilt as she leaned her back against the tree, what kind of friend forgot their own friend's special day?
"Sammy!" She heard a voice call from somewhere, who was it and where was it coming from, she turned around and saw Tommy running over to her.
He came to a halt in front of her and sat down next to her on the grass exhausted.
"Sammy what's wrong with you lately" Tommy panted as he turned to look at her with a confused expression.
"Whatever do you mean Tommy?" She asked innocently.
"Well recently you've been acting really weird, you have acted nervous around me and Megan, you haven't helped us out in battle, you've been really quiet and just now you ran out of the House screaming, please tell me what's wrong, Please?" he sighed worried for her.
"It-It's j-just that… OH TOMMY I'M THE WORST FRIEND IN THE WORLD" She started crying as she leaned forward hugging him and crying into his shoulder.
Tommy rubbed her back awkwardly "Why would you say that"
"I Forgot Megan's own birthday, what kind of friend does that" She sobbed as She continued to hug him.
"Just because you forgot her own birthday doesn't mean you're the worst friend in the world, you're a great friend and you wouldn't do that on purpose" Tommy smiled as he hugged back making Sammy stop crying as she blushed.
"Huh, what do you mean?" Sammy asked the smiling Pikachu as she pulled away tears in her eyes still.
"People forget things all the time, it just happens and it isn't anyone's fault and I never want to hear you to talk about yourself that way again okay!, you are my best friend and I love you very much and I am positive Megan feels the same way I do, sure you two have your moments but she loves you a lot and I am sure you feel the same way so what are we going to do about this birthday of hers" Tommy smiled causing her blush to deepen, he always knew what to do in these sort of situations.
"Well we have to get her a present and we have to sort her party out" Sammy said as she wondered what Megan would like for her birthday "I wonder what I should get her, what are you gonna get her Tommy?"
"I already got her something" Tommy grinned as he pulled out a red bandana.
"Wow, what should I get her, I don't know what she likes apart from reviver seeds" Sammy said with a giggle making her friend Smile too.
"Well just buy her something that comes from the heart, it doesn't have to be a great, it's the thought that counts" Tommy beamed at the blushing Chespin.
"Yeah you're right but what about the Party" Sammy asked him.
"Well on the day we should invite everyone in Destiny Town plus the Psychic Wonders and I will try and get her out of the house for a couple of hours alright, buy her your present on the day since then it'll be even more special" Tommy replied happily.
"Yeah well I guess we should get going, Megan will probably get suspicious" Sammy smiled.
"Yeah you're right"
Both Tommy and Sammy got up and ran back to the mansion smiling at each other all the way.
25th February 2014 (THE BIG DAY)
"Yawn, huh what time is it" Sammy groggily said as she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes and looked at the clock and groaned, it was 10:30am, she must have slept in so she got out of bed and started walking downstairs and entered the living room, Tommy was busy putting up the balloons which meant Megan must have left already.
He looked at her and smiled happily as he jumped down from the ladder he was standing on landing in front of her "I Gave Megan tickets to a concert, it's going on until tonight so we have plenty of time to get this party prepared, funny thing is Megan didn't ask questions nor did she say anything about it being her birthday well anyway go to Destiny Town and get her present then could you possibly with the party preparations" He asked her as she nodded happily
"Sure thing, see ya in a bit" Sammy beamed as she started walking out of the living room, walked down the hallway and stepped on to the patio closing the door behind her as she started to walk down the path and entered the town square, it was quite quiet today because there weren't many Pokémon around and it wasn't as bustling as it usually was.
She walked to Espeon and Umbreon's Jewellery store since she wanted to get Megan something stylish and like Tommy said Something that comes from the heart, she walked over to them and it looked like Espeon was doing it today.
"Hey Espeon" She smiled causing the pink Pokémon to turn around and upon noticing her she smiled brightly and squealed in delight.
"OHMAHGOSH A Customer, what would you like pal" She sang as she danced around causing Sammy to sweatdrop as she noticed something… Beautiful.
"Excuse me but what is that" Sammy asked the happy Espeon as she pointed at a sparkling rainbow coloured Diamond, it was small but it was beautiful.
"Huh this, it's called The Friendship Diamond, if you give this to your best friend you will be friends for eternity even beyond death itself you will remain friends and that friendship will never end, it's a really beautiful but it's a very expensive Diamond I'm afraid" Espeon sighed.
"Um How Expensive"
"4,500 Poké"
Sammy gasped in Disbelief "HOLY ARCEUS"
"Yeah I kno…" but before Espeon could finish her sentence Sammy interrupted.
"I'LL TAKE IT" Causing Espeon to gasp in amazement and disbelief.
"H-How?" Espeon muttered to herself as she stared at the Chespin on the other side of the counter who was currently pulling out some money.
Sammy knew it was expensive and this would cost her all of her money but if it would make Megan happy she didn't mind, she placed the money on the table as Espeon picked the diamond up, placed it in a bag and handed it to Sammy who had a huge smile on her face.
"Thank you" Sammy sang as she started walking up towards the Mansion leaving a bewildered Espeon behind.
She looked into the bag and stared at the diamond as she continued up the path to their Mansion and smiled as she thought to herself I bet Megan will love this well I hope she does but it's the thought that counts, I wonder if Megan is enjoying the concert.
Sammy arrived at the mansion and opened the door to see that Tommy had done quite a bit of work preparing, he had put up the banners, put up the balloons and was in the kitchen preparing the food, she walked in and he turned around and gave her a smile.
"So have you done everything you need to do?" She Nodded and Tommy continued"Okay I've decorated the living room and I have invited everyone and the Psychic Wonders of course, would you mind helping me prepare the food" Tommy beamed at the chespin who nodded happily in agreement.
"Sure"
…
It was 6:00 and they had finally finished the preparations for the party and the guests had finally arrived, the guests were Meowth, The Meowstic Couple, Tyrantrum, Sylveon, Espeon, Umbreon, The Psychic Wonders, Kecleon, Spinda, Riolu, Pancham and Leafeon.
The guest entered the living room and gasped in amazement and awe at the decorations and the buffet on the table, Tommy checked the clock and smiled.
"Okay Sammy turn off the lights and close the doors and everyone be quiet and as soon as Megan enters the room yell surprise alright?" Tommy whispered to the group of Pokémon who nodded in agreement as Sammy left the room and turned off the kitchen and hallway lights and closed the kitchen door, she then returned to the living room and turned off the lights and quietly shut the door with a smile.
Meanwhile…
"Wow that concert was amazing, the singer was so handsome" Megan sang as she skipped towards the Mansion however upon reaching it she noticed something wasn't quite right, it was quiet and the lights were off which never happened, there was usually someone in.
"Huh that's strange!" Megan whispered to herself as she opened the door and entered the dark hallway, another thing she noticed was all the doors were closed which was even more weird.
"H-Hello, anyone home?" Megan shouted but didn't get a response, they were probably out well, she continued down the hallway, turned the doorknob to the living room, Opened the door and…
"SURPRISE" Everyone suddenly shouted all at once as the lights went on causing Megan to scream in fright and fall over, she got up and noticed most of the town were here and the Psychic Wonders too.
"What's going on?" Megan confusedly asked the group causing Sammy to sigh as she approached her friend and gave her a smile
"Don't you remember it's your birthday today" Sammy beamed at her friend causing Megan to gasp as realization hit her.
"Oh My Arceus, I forgot, it completely skipped my mind because of all the Explorations but wow who did all this?" Megan said brightly looking around the room at all the pokemon who were smiling at her.
"Me and Sammy did but it was all Sammy's Idea" Tommy exclaimed in delight.
Tears started to form in Megan's eyes as she looked at her best friend "Is this true Sammy did you really do all this j-just for me"
"Yeah, you deserve it after all the hard work you've done" Sammy smiled at her friend who was on the brink of tears of happiness as Megan lurched forward and embraced Sammy and Sammy hugged back as Megan whispered in Sammy's ear "Thank you, I Love you so much"
"Anyway I have a present for you" Sammy grinned as she handed Megan the bag and she looked inside it and pulled out the shining Friendship Diamond.
"It's beautiful thank you, may I ask what it is"
"That is a question I can answer, it's called a Friendship diamond, it's a special diamond which whoever is given it by their best friend they will be friends for eternity even beyond the grave" Espeon informed the curious Fennekin.
"Wow thank you Sammy"
Tommy rushed off into the kitchen at that moment and returned a second later with a big birthday cake as Sammy turned off the lights again and with that the group of Pokémon except Megan started to Sing as Tommy stood in front of Megan as he presented it to her.

Happy Birthday to You
"Go on make a wish"
And with that Megan blew out the candles and everyone clapped and cheered, Megan was another year older which meant another year of being an Explorer and so the best Party in Destiny Town History began…
…
The Party had finished and guests were saying their farewells as they started heading to their own homes, it was now 2am in the morning and they were quite tired.
"Again Happy Birthday Sweetheart, I hope this year treats you well" Delphox grinned as The Psychic Wonders started going too.
"Thanks, it was an honour having you here today" Megan beamed as the team waved goodbye to the guests.
After waving goodbye Team Ace headed to their own rooms to go to sleep since it was very late and they were very tired from all the excitement.
Megan got into bed and got under the covers and smiled to herself, it had been her birthday and she hadn't realized, it was kind of funny if you think about it but she only had one wish when she blew out those candles on the cake which was extremely delicious.
As she looked at the Diamond Sammy had given her she smiled, now her and Sammy will remain friends no matter even in the darkest of times… or that's what she thinks… but more than anything Megan's wish was… to be Tommy's Girlfriend.
And with that the young fennekin fell asleep, will Megan's Wish ever come true, find out in the next chapter… as the journey continues.

Next Chapter - Sammy VS Megan! The Fight to win Tommy's Heart?!
Summary - Sammy and Megan both have strong feelings for Tommy however while they continue to try and get Tommy to understand that they love him both girls end up falling out and decide to have a battle to win Tommy's heart, will their friendship survive or is their friendship over as they know it?
