Chapter 3

After another year of training with his team and John still choosing to not evolve Harry had reached the age where he will soon be getting his Hogwarts letter and everything would change.

Of course over the year Harry had changed so much in comparison to what he used to look like before he got his team.

He was now a full two inches taller than other kids his age and he was already showing muscles that showed he was a decent fighter. All from needing to constantly train with Ria since fighting types all ways need to train them selves and only respect those they deem strong enough.

Thanks to the magic in Harry's core stabilizing as he was growing it started to change slowly gaining attributes from his soul companions.

From Ria he began to have stronger muscles and bones allowing him to keep up with training her and Ivan. From Ivan he gained a sense for spirits and also the ability to touch them himself if need be.

He also found that he could start mind melding with his companions and to a lesser extent John as well have given him some benefits.

His hair and skin became softer and smooth feeling but had an underlying toughness that would be missed by anyone not attacking him. He found that out the hard way during a training session with Ivan a few weeks ago.

Flashbackthree weeks

Harry had finished a training session with John and Ria so had decided to get Ivan out for a final session before calling it a day.

"Alright Ivan it's a simple speed and agility test today you good with that?"

Ivan gives Harry a thumbs up and then gets into position for the start of Harry's signal.

"Ready, steady, go!"

Ivan immediately shoots off and begins to run for the other side of the park with surprising swiftness for a Pokémon of his size. Then Harry started his part of the training and began to toss balls of varying sizes and weights.

Harry then started throwing them at Ivan which again with surprising agility Ivan moved out of the way of every ball.

Ivan had almost made it to the end when he tripped over a sudden shift in the ground under his feet and feel forward.

Harry too surprised to move was tackled by Ivan and landed hard on the ground, again with speed that wasn't normally seen Ivan jumped up off Harry. But for all that weight and material that landed on him the only sign that Harry had been hit was the dirt and grass now staining his shirt and shorts.

Harry gets up and looks down at himself seeing that he was ok looked towards Ivan seeing the massive Golurk crouching under a tree.

Harry pushed himself off the ground and moved towards his companion and could swear he could almost see dark clouds over his head.

"Ivan what's wrong why are you over here?"

Ivan didn't even look towards Harry yet some how Harry seemed to understand him as if he had spoken.

"Ivan look I'm fine, I've taken plenty of hits before and this didn't even hurt the only thing that happened when you landed on me was my clothes got dirtier."

Ivan didn't believe that and continued to just stare at the tree, as this was happening a pair of figures simply watched laughing at what they had caused.

Harry moved closer to his companion and placed his hand on his arm. "Ivan look at me." Something in Harry's tone seemed to force Ivan's head to turn to him and his eyes to look into his.

Burning emerald stares back with nothing but kindness and determination.

"You didn't mean to land on me, you didn't hurt me when you did, and after you made sure I wasn't dead or majorly injured you then felt regret. This shows me that you are more then worthy to be my companion and that you have no reason to feel shame."

Ivan started to stand up looking down at his master filling him with such emotions and pride in who he is.

"We train for this very reason so things like this can't happen with others near by so hold your head up high and continue to stand by my side."

Ivan nods his head and then moves out from under the tree and moves back to the starting point for the exercise. Harry smiles and moves back into position and started he exercise again this time keeping his eye out for whatever caused the accident.

Flashback end

After that incident Harry did a few more test and found out that he was a lot tougher then he should have been and had found that he could at least feel some sensations from John.

Even if it wasn't as deep a connection as his companions it was something that they could have regardless.

Now Harry was trying to see if he could use some of his magic with the help of his team and if that could translate into a battle.

"Alright everyone let's get this started we have twenty three minutes to work with hold nothing back."

The Pokémon nod and get into position and before Harry can even turn to see where they all are standing he already has to dodge a shadow ball. Quickly following it was an aura sphere and a disarming voice behind that which Harry managed to doge the first and as the second got closer something happened.

Harry crosses his arms and a translucent barrier appears in front of him and blocks the attack from connecting.

But with no time to be shocked or contemplate how he did it he immediately had to dodge another attack in the form of a rock throw.

Another salvo of rock throws sent his way and some dazzling gleam behind it leads to Harry needing to attack instead of dodge. So he punches forward and a fist a flame shoots forward from his fist destroying the rocks.

He quickly kicks and a lightning flys from his feet striking down the dazzling gleam and leaving him open for more rock throw and a aura sphere from behind.

For the next twenty three minutes his training continued like this with him either blocking, dodging, or knocking out the attacks sent at him.

After the time ended the attacks suddenly stopped and the team waited for Harry to calm down from the rush.

After his heart stopped racing and he could think more clearly he signaled his team to join him as he took a seat and started stretching. As the team joined him creating a circle so they could all see each other Ria and John began to stretch as well and Ivan handed out drinks from a bag they had off to the side.

"Alright so from what you all could feel and see was that my magic or my connection to you?"

He was looking more towards Ria for an answer with her aura ability but he still wanted to see if the others might have noticed something.

"Master we noticed it was your magic making the attacks come out by copying what you have seen us do."

Harry nods his head for her to continue. "We also noticed that your magic seemed to imbue your attacks with energy that would make it effective against us even with the type disadvantage of some of those attacks."

This surprised him, he thought that the attacks would just be straight copies not changed in a way that would make it a reliable form of attack.

He would have to look into this later once they got to Hogwarts and could talk to more experienced wizards and witches.

Ria interrupted his train of thought. "We also have noticed that as the fight went on your magic extended to us and imbued us with energy and seemed to almost cause a sensation similar to evolution."

At this point Ivan joined the conversation in his own nonverbal manner.

"I also noticed that the string which connects our souls became thicker and almost turned into cables with their new thickness. Even the string connecting to John almost matched ours in that moment."

John perked up at this news for the singular fact that he always felt that he was less then the others due to their soul bond with their master.

But with this new information he felt as swell in his chest from the fact he has such a connection even without being the original one to bond.

Harry was not expecting this information but wasn't surprised about it, after all ever since he had meet his soul companions he had to get use to so many surprises. He simply nodded his head to Ivan and then lead a conversation about the spar for the next twenty minutes trying to improve everyone from the experience.

Not to far away a figure and his small Pokémon watched the exchange with nothin but contempt and anger.

Dudley still remembered the way the freak had humiliated him in front of his crew and was just about ready to make him pay for all the trouble he's given him and then some.
