Chapter 5

After her introduction Harry took her to his aunt and uncles house to have her talk to his guardians and make sure this was on the level.

After she showed her identification and explained who she was his aunt and uncle quickly welcomed her in and lead her to the living room. Once she was seated and given tea and some snacks she began to speak about her reason for visiting.

"As I told young Mr. Potter I am here to deliver his Hogwarts letter and to answer any immediate questions he has about said letter."

She takes another sip of her tea while a Mr. Rime hands over a letter to Harry with a happy little jig before going back to his normal tapping. Harry quickly opens the letter and begins to read it aloud for his aunt and uncles sakes.

"Dear Mr. Potter we are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizadry. Students shall be required to report to the Chamber of Reception upon arrival, the dates for which shall be duly advised. Please ensure that the utmost attention be made to the list of requirements attached herewith. We very much look forward to receiving you as part of the new generation of Hogwarts heritage."

Harry pauses for a moment and realizes that his throat is dry from all the talking and the excitement of his letter's contents.

After a quick sip of water he continues with the rest of the first letter before moving onto the next piece of his letter.

"Yours sincerely M. McGonagall." Shuffling the papers in hand he begins to read off the list of school supplies. "Uniform, First year students will require: three sets of plain work robes (black), one plain pointed hat (black) for day wear, one pair of protective gloves (dragon hide or similar). One winter cloak (black, with silver fastenings.), please note that all pupils cloths should carry name tags."

"Course books, all students should have a copy of each of the following: the standard Book of Spells (Grade 1) by Miranda Goshawk. A History of Magic by Bathilda Bagshot, Magical Theory by Adalbert Waffing. A Beginners Guide to Transfiguration by Emeric Ewitch, One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi by Phyllida Spore. Magical Drafts and Potions by Arsenius Jigger, Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them by Newt Scamander. The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection by Quentin Trimble."

His aunt and uncle looked not only confused but worried as the list was being read out after all this was beginning to sound rather expensive.

Plus was all of this really necessary for a first year student since they are just beginning their magical education.

As they continued to think this Harry continued with the list. "Other equipment, one wand, one cauldron (pewter, standard size two), one set of glass or crystal phials, one telescope, one set brass scales. Parents are reminded that first years are not allowed their own broomstick."

Once Harry finished he folded the letter back up and put it back in its envelope and placing it on the table.

His aunt and uncle continued to think on the matter of money and how much all this would cost them.

Harry was more worried about where to get these items since as far as he could tell those weren't normal items one could find at the local mart or shop.

Mave put her cup down and signaled to her Mr. Rime to pour her more tea which it did with its usual exuberant tapping. As this was happening she looked at all present and waited for them to come to grips with what they had just heard from the letter.

"I'm sure you have many questions that's why someone is sent to help explain anything that confuses you on the offset."

This lead to Harry snapping out of his thoughts and remembering that he had the answer to all his questions right in front of him.

So did his aunt and uncle. "How are we supposed to pay for all this it sounds rather expensive and it's not like we're made of money." His uncle said in a bit of a huff

Mave nods her head at his question as if it made perfect sense which it did. "Well if Mr.Potter didn't have wizard parents to begin with he would be given a stipend by the government to spend on school supplies to help him with his education and to be payed back once he graduates."

Vernon nods his head in satisfaction and visibly relaxes at the answer but something Mave said piqued Petunia's interest.

"What did you mean by if he didn't have wizard parents wasn't my sister and her husband wizards?"

Mave chuckles at the question before answering. "Well your sister was a witch and her husband a wizard but they where not only that but the last living members of a most ancient and noble house that had been accruing a rather large fortune that was being used to pay for his living here."

This surprised Petunia but not Vernon since he never told his wife that the house had been paid for since her nephew moved in nor did he think it worth mentioning.

But before Petunia could turn to her husband to ask about it Harry asked his question.

"And where would we get these items since they aren't at the local mart or shop in town let alone online."

Mave smirks at his forethought as well as the insight of asking where to get them not how afford them.

"To answer simply there is a special place here in town that a guide will lead you to get your supplies in the following weeks. From what I've been told a letter will be sent out within the month of when we expect you to arrive at the Chamber of Reception."

Harry seems satisfied by that answer but before Mave can even begin the process of asking them if they have more questions he asks something else of her.

"I noticed that their was no mention of anything to do with battling or training ones bonded just focus on magic why is that?"

Mave was pleasantly surprised by this question since all the times she's ever done this no one has ever asked that question or thought to ask it.

A wide smile spreads across her face slightly tightening her scar. "Well as we wizards and witches have found you can't learn that much from text books when it comes to Pokémon that's why when it comes to training with them you'll be given a Rotom Dex by Ollivanders."

She raises her hand before Harry could ask who Ollivander was. "I'm sorry but I do have other people to visit and i was to answer immediate question any more you can think of before your trip for supplies can be sent to McGonagall via Corviknight mail."

Harry nods his head at this and file away his questions for this McGonagall women that Mave and his letter spoke of.

Mave nods back to him and then quickly stands up having finished her cup of tea and brushing off crumbs from her pants.

"Well it has been a pleasure but I must bid you farewell." With a grandiose now she begins to head to the front door with Petunia quickly getting up to be a kind hostess.

After Mave had been let out and the door had been closed Petunia returned to the living room while Harry headed to the stairs to begin writing a letter with many questions to McGonagall.

But the one thing he was sure of was that he was looking forward to his time at Hogwarts and this trip for supplies.

Meanwhile at Hogwarts

Dumbledore paced in his tower thinking on the new year to come and how this would be the first time a muggle would be allowed to teach in these hallowed halls.

With the Ministry now defunct and the entirety of the board of governors being replaced this school year promised to be drastically different from years past.

Not that this worried Dumbledore greatly, in all honesty he was quite excited for these changes as well as the fact they now had more staff on top of his normal staff to help with students.

No the thing that worried him were the pureblood youths whose parents would try and use them to hurt the muggle staff members to prove that they didn't belong in the magical society. Dumbledore had been trying everything he could to prepare for it but he still wasn't satisfied with what he had put in place but hoped it would be for naught.

As he was finishing another lap of his office his office door opened and in walked Mave followed by her Mr. Rime happily tapping away.

She quickly came up short seeing her headmaster pace so vigorously and in such a harried manner as if he was trying to chase something.

Behind Dumbledore's desk his Drampa simply watching and waiting to see what his bonded would do. A small cough leaves Mave's lips to gain Dumbledore's attention which startles him from his worrying thoughts.

"My apologies my dear Mrs. Stransburgi I was lost in thought."

Mave waves away his apology. "It's no problem headmaster I just came to let you know that all letters have been delivered and that I have retrieved the package you asked for."

At this prompting the Mr. Rime moves to Dumbledore's desk and places a small lumpy package on his desk before returning to his mistress.

"Thank you Mave you my retire for the night I need to take care of this."

With such an obvious dismissal Mave turns back to the office door and leaves heading for the siren song that is her pillow.

As she leaves Dumbledore grabs the package and quickly heads to his bonded and hopes that his old mentor will forgive him.

Phew bout time I got this done sorry it took so long but with work and prepping for the holidays it's been a crazy few weeks any way hope you enjoyed it please leave a comment and review and have a nice day.
