Chapter 12
The transport touched down on the small field that had been prepared for it well outside of any city or town.
The only people present were some guardsmen that had been tasked to transport their lord and his luggage to the train station and then return to monitoring Terra's local governments.
Once the transport landed its rear ramp lowered and allowed those inside to disembark, showing such a diverse group of individuals that one would think they were characters from a play.
The first to exit was a group of large and ogrish looking men that made the guardsmen look like toddlers.
Standing at ten feet tall with a small hunch around their shoulders and a slumped forehead, all leading to a face that looked misshapen. Their eyes are small and beady with an almost child-like innocence behind them, showing the simple mind that lay inside these beings.
Their arms and hands looked to be made of nothing but muscle with skin stretched over it making it easy to see how they held onto their shields that were taller and wider than them.
Their bodies are covered in armor that looks to be made from tank treads and vehicle parts that they moved in and wore as if they were simple linen clothing. The weapon they carried was nothing more than a lump of cylinder metal crammed onto a handle.
Once the five brutes exited the ship a woman and man wearing red robes and carrying incense holders followed behind.
The sound of metal striking metal instead of boots hinted at the truth beneath the robes, along with the strange lumps that seemed to stretch the robes. They made no other sound besides their steps and simply stepped to the side of the ramp awaiting the rest of the party to exit the ship.
Next was a man in a military officer uniform and flanked by two people covered head to toe in armor and carrying a shield and billy club at the ready. They march down the ramp and join the guardsmen at the vehicle they had procured for this mission.
Just as the officer is about to talk to the men the final members of the group exit the craft, Harry and another group of five ogrish men quickly join the others in the open field.
The officer picks out the leader of the group and quickly addresses him.
"Sergeant, i see you and your men have followed your orders and in a timely manner, you do your platoon proud."
The sergeant simply nods and waits for the officer to continue knowing what happened the last time someone interrupted this particular commissar.
"Our lord is now going to be left in your care sergeant, ensure the success of this mission or you will be relieved of duty swiftly and mercilessly, am i understood sergeant?"
The sergeant nodded and moved to get the vehicle ready for departure while motioning to his men to grab the luggage from the vehicle their lord had just vacated. Harry simply waved the soldiers away showing off the small case he had as it was his only piece of luggage.
As the soldiers returned to the vehicle they missed the large wolf exiting the ship and how it immediately moved to Harry's side.
Emma was not going to leave her pup's side and she was going to be quite satisfied with his expression when she showed him the trick she had picked up from his books. Jumping into the back of the vehicle the soldiers quickly pile in after their lord and the entourage that arrived with him depart back into the ship.
As the large commercial van winds its way down the roads, Harry can't help but fidget, his body has been shrunk due to his magic. While that normal would have messed up the mechanical bits inside him, that let him connect to his suit, the legion had more than enough time to make it so warp sorcery wouldn't affect it.
So he tried to move about and get used to this much smaller and weaker body until he was back on his ship and among his soldiers again.
Soon enough they make it into London and head towards the train station where the soldiers would follow him to the barrier then report in the success of their lords entry.
As Harry turns to say good bye to Emma with a feeling of a large hole where one of his hearts should be, he sees not the large Fenrisian wolf. But a large dog giving a lupin grin at his bewildered expression before she nudges him to move so she can get out.
"We will be talking about this later Emma."
The soldiers in their disguises fend off questions from the employees by saying their Harry uncle's seeing him off to school. Once at the barrier the soldiers give their lord a nod and simply watch as he runs through onto platforms nine and three quarters.
Once on the other side Harry and Emma get a good look at the platform and see that it isn't full yet but there were still too many people for their liking. So they quickly headed towards the large red train and got on heading to the caboose hoping to not need to interact with anyone on the trip.
As Harry puts his suitcase in the overhead storage Emma lays down on the seats and waits for Harry to sit down before putting her head in his lap.
Once there Harry starts to give her chin and neck scratches while keeping an eye out on the platform, he knew Emma would keep an eye on the door. As they watch and wait Harry decides to ask the question to the surprising display currently laid before him.
"So Emma, when did you learn to do this and most importantly how?" Emma briefly looks away from the door and into Harry's eyes before turning back to it with a simple chuff as if that answered everything.
"No Emma I'm not going to take because I can as an answer so try again."
So Emma starts to tip and bark as if speaking to him and Harry seems to understand her perfectly as if he spoke wolf as easily as he did English and Gothic. After a couple more minutes of explanation Emma finally stopped and Harry had a look of pure astonishment on his face.
"So it really is because I simply can do it and the bound we have as familiar and master sharing that power with you and you sharing your powers with me." Emma simply gives a snort and Harry chuckles simply accepting the strangeness of his situation since it allowed Emma to come with him.
So for the next hour Harry and Emma simply relaxed in their compartment watching for any signs of danger to themselves or to the legion.
It wasn't until five minutes from departure that they saw an increase in foot traffic, but the large wolf in disguise kept most people away. Emma only needed to growl at a few who didn't take no for an answer but other wise they were left to their own devices.
Soon the whistle for departure sounded and the train then began to move away from the station with Harry and Emma content with the silence. Which was soon interrupted by another knock at their compartment door, which showed a young boy with bright red hair and clothes that looked a bit big and worn.
Harry simply ignored the boy and Emma gave the young red head a hard stare before he shuffled off leaving the two alone again.
Harry couldn't believe how cowardly all these children where, at least one of them should have had the courage to try and take a seat. Of these were the type of people he was going to be house mates with then he didn't know how many of them where going to survive training lett alone Emma.
A short time after the red head, the compartment door was opened and Emma growled at the newcomer who eeped before Harry silenced Emma by petting her head. Looking out the door at the child who has opened the door, he saw a young girl with wild frizzy brown hair and eyes, already wearing her robes.
"Sorry about her, she isn't very sociable, but I thought it was courteous to knock before entering?"
Harry's remark left the young girl with a blush across her face before she straightened up and seemed to collect herself.
"Sorry, my name is Hermione Granger, and I'm currently going up and down the train asking if anyone has seen a toad, a boy named Neville lost his."
Harry nods in acknowledgement of the apology before adopting a thinking pose. "Well I don't remember seeing a toad when I arrived or since then, what about you Emma?"
