Chapter 16
As Harry looked around the station he couldn't help but be amazed at the organized chaos of it all while Ria, Hedwig, and John all kept an eye out for anything that ment their trainer harm.
Salazar tried to imitate Hedwigs regal poise but was getting to distracted by all the people and the other Pokémon.
Harry and his small entourage made their way through the station to the nearest information desk hoping that Hermione and her parents where at this one rather then another one. Luckily he was right, soon enough Hermione has Harry in a death hug as Lucia her Growlithe runs around their feet barking.
The Jangmo-o that Harry had given her was poking its head out of Hermione's back pack watching the exchange and letting out excited chirps.
"Harry, I'm so glad you made it, I was worried that you might be late or that you showed up early and got tired of waiting and went to the train without us, but I wan-"
Lucia started tugging on Hermione's pant leg, causing her to move out of the hug while still holding onto Harry and looking down at her, Lucia raises a brow at Hermione befor turning to look at Harry causing Hermione to look up as well.
The small smirk on Harry's face causes Hermione to blush as she pulls back and starts apologizing, Harry just laughs and hugs Hermione himself.
"It's good to see you again as well Hermione, but I think you should breath next time so I can answer your questions."
Hermione puffs up her cheeks as her blush spreads but doesn't break the hug, soon enough Harry let's her go and with parents in tow, they head to platform nine and three quarters. As they walk towards platforms nine and ten, they see a large grouping of people near one of the pillars in between where they are headed.
As the group gets closer they notice that people are running at the pillar, but rather then smash into it, they simply disappear, only to later come back out of the pillar a minute later.
A group of people dressed in Macro Cosmos outfits are trying to make people move away from the pillar and let some kids get through but are having a hard time pushing them back.
Ria, John and Hedwig are about ready to start forcibly moving people out of the way of their trainers path when a man in a three piece suit and an interesting hair cut moves to the front of the group.
"Ladies and gentlemen, while I understand your fascination with our fellow Galarian magicals, these students need to get to their train in order to head to school on time, so I ask as the president of Macro Cosmos and a citizen of this fine region if you all would please vacate the area."
The people surrounding the pillar looking a little embarrassed and start shuffling away making the Macro Cosmos group the only ones left to greet Harry and Hermiones group.
"Hello, you must either be here for Hogwarts or are interested in why this pillar is needing us here."
The same man in the three piece suit walks forward to speak to them.
Hermiones father walks forward and offers his hand for a hand shake.
"We are, Im Dan Granger and this is my wife Phiona here to see our daughter off too school along with her friend Harry, and you are?"
The man shakes Dan hand before shaking Phionas and waving to Hermione and Harry.
"I am the president of Macro Cosmos Chairman Rose, it's a pleasure to meet you all."
Hermione gasps and starts getting ready to start rattling off information but Lucia stops her again while Harry takes a better look at the man.
He's a somewhat tall man with a somewhat tanned complexion, he had black hair with only one side of his head shaved. His green eye hold a gleam of amusement and something else Harry couldn't tell, with his somewhat paunchy stomach the man looked like a young Santa Claus if he owned a corporation.
"I'm guessing you all weren't told how to get to the platform."
The nod of everyone's head makes Rose chuckle before he points at the pillar that the group had surrounded earlier.
"We'll it's pretty simple, that pillar is a type of gate that connects to the actual platform the train waits on, all you have to do is walk at it at a brisk speed and you'll go right through it and end up at the platform."
Most of the group gave a doubtful look, but Harry remembered how Diagon Alley had been and so thought that this would be similar.
So Harry without hesitation starts to briskly walk towards the pillar, Ria seeing his destination runs ahead to see if the area is safe, as she runs at the pillar Hermione and her parents worry that the Lucario was going to crash. But right before she was about hit the pillar, she seemingly runs through it without coming out the other side, Harry soon following behind her, Hedwig and Salazar on his shoulder, John looks around the area before running in after Harry.
The Grangers stared in disbelief, but Hermione shook it off and with Lucia on her heels and the Jangmo-o chirping in excitement, she runs at the pillar also disappearing into it.
On the other side Harry had come out and saw a read and black steam engine waiting on an almost empty platform, Ria already looking at everything while Hedwig puffed up and stared at anyone that came close to Harry.
John was making sure no one came up behind Harry while Salazar was staring at everything in wonder straining from Harry's neck but not letting himself lose his grip.
Shortly after Hermione came through and crashed into Harry causing them both to tumble to the ground.
In a tangle of limbs and some Pokémon the two children managed to pull themselves apart just as Dan and Phiona came through the wall and almost tripped over the children. After Harry and Hermione were checked to see if they were injured they moved closer towards the train admiring the simplistic beauty of the old styled train, the black and red gleaming in the dim light of the wall sconces.
Soon enough a cabin had been found that Dan and Phiona helped the kids settle into before they left to stand on the platform, finding the window to their cabin they stood and talked to the kids for another thirty minutes before the platform became more busy.
Soon enough the platform was awash in the bodies of other parents and children who waited til the last minute to get to the platform.
"Alright we'll get going, both of you have a fun year and remember to stay out of trouble." Phiona squeezed her daughter's hand as she looked at both children before Adam took hold of her hand and started to lead her away.
"Don't worry miss Granger, I'll make sure to pulll her out of the library." The look Hermione sent at Harry would have made him chuckle if he wasn't watching Dan and Phiona laughing at his joke.
"Bye mom, bye dad, I'll keep Harry out of trouble and I'll make sure to write you every week."
With the final goodbye the Granger parents disappeared into the large crowd as the final warning whistle sounded out across the platform causing a mad scramble for the late arrivals. After another minute the train begins to pull from the platform and Harry and Hermione wave out the window in hopes that Dan and Phiona see them and wave back.
Both children soon take their seats with Ria and John taking up either side of Harry and Hedwig siting in the luggage rack seemingly asleep.
Salazar was snoozing in the crook of Harry's neck while Ria watched the door and John watched the window.
Hermione had pulled the Jangmo-o from her bag and placed him on her lap and was petting him, causing squeaks and chips to fill the cabin, while Lucia was curled up by Hermiones feet napping.
"Hey Hermione, I haven't heard yet but what did you decide to name the little guy?"
Hermione looks up and gives a smile that almost blinded Harry with how bright it was.
"I decided to give him the name Oberon, after the king of the summer circle from ancient Galar folklore."
Harry just chuckles at the Hermione like naming convention, he couldn't wait to see what Oberon ended up becoming like with a proper trainer like Hermione instead of that baby hippo of a cousin. Hermione pouted at Harry and stuck her tongue out at him making Harry laugh harder, he was interrupted by the sound of the cabin door opening, Ria was up and her left paw was already alight with an aura sphere, a squeak was heard from the now open doorway and the sound of something hitting the floor.
Harry poked his head around the side of Ria to see who his partner was terrorizing, he found a redheaded young man with ragged hand me downs and a beat up trunk siting on the floor.
He looked to be the same age as them and he was terrified by the Lucario standing in the doorway with a raised paw ready to strike him down.
"Ria calm down, I think he wants to sit with us not attack us."
Ria simply huffs and backs down, but keeps her eyes on the red head as Harry moves closer to help them off the floor.
"I'm sorry about her, my Pokémon are a bit overprotective of me and don't like random people coming in without announcing themselves and being checked by them."
The red head mutely takes Harry's hand and lets him pull him up, keeping his eyes on Ria the red head doesn't respond immediately.
"Sorry, I didn't think about it, I'm Ron, Ron Weasley."
Ron sticks his hand out for a hand shake which Harry takes him up on.
"Harry potter, and that's my friend Hermione Granger, it's nice to meet you Ron Weasley."
Ron's eyes widen in surprise when Harry says his name and before he can seemingly stop himself he speaks out.
"Blimey, so is it true that you have the, yknow?"
Ron's eyes dart up to Harry's forehead which is covered by his hair, Harry rolls his eyes while Hermione gains a face of consternation at Ron's rather blunt mention of what she knows is Harry's greatest annoyance.
Harry simply moves his hair out of the way and shows Ron his lightning bolt scar, Ria sensing her partners annoyance at the question and showing off his scar glares at Ron making him flinch.
"Sorry mate, I just grew up hearing the stories and when you told me who you are I just couldn't stop myself."
Ron's ears had flushed red and he looked down at the ground in embarrassment, Harry simply sighed and let his Harry fall back down before moving closer to Ron and placing a hand on his shoulder.
"How about we start again, as if Ria hadn't scared you and you hadn't asked to see my scar."
Ron looked up and nodded his head in rapid agreement which made Harry smile.
"Well then it's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Harry Potter."
Harry offered Ron a new handshake.
"Ron Weasley, nice to meet you Harry, mind if I join you and your friend!"
Harry simply nodded and led Ron into the cabin, Ron took a seat next to Hermione while Harry took his spot between Ria and John, hoping that he might have made a new friend.
"Hermione Granger nice to meet you Ron, this is Oberon." Hermione lifted up the Jangmo-o from that had fallen asleep in her lap, and then she pointed down at the Growlithe. "And this one is Lucia."
Ron nodded at Hermione. "Hello nice to meet all of you." Ron then looked over to Harry.
Harry restored to Ria on his left. "This is Ria, the wigglytuff next to me is John, the Dreepy around my neck is Salazar and the hoot hoot up there is Hedwig, the others are currently in their balls due to them being to big for the train."
Ron stared in amazement as Harry listed off the names of all the Pokémon around him and that he had more in his team.
"You have a full team?"
The gobsmacked look on Ron's face caused Hermione to laugh which made Ron look at her in indignation.
"I'm sorry, it's just I was almost the same way when I first meet him and he only had three at the time."
Ron then flushed red again before looking back to Harry.
"So what are the other two of you don't mind sharing."
Harry simply smiles and points at the balls on his belt.
"This one is for my Lapras who I named Morana, and this one is for Ivan my golurk the last members for my team for now."
The look of surprise of Ron's face simply grows and then he looks embarrassed as he reaches for the two pokeballs on his own belt.
"Neither of my Pokemon are as impressive as any of yours."
He gives both balls a light toss, causing a white beam of light to flash out of them and deposit the Pokémon onto the floor infront of Ron making Harry and Hermione look down at them. The first one is a small purple creature with spikes going down its spin and a large horn sprouting out the front, two large ears with a greenish blue interior.
The second Pokémon was a pure black color and seemed to be made out of coal, a bright orange eye stared up at them as the creature kept itself steady in the singular wheel it stood on.
"The Rolycoly is my bonded partner, I call them Tre because he was the third Rolycoly my families ever had."
The little Rolycoly spun around in an excited manner as it made a happy rumbling sound.
"The other one is a Nidorino my dad gave me that he never could get to evolve he named him scabbers because of how he found him."
Scabbers merely grunted at the trio and then curled up and promptly feel asleep.
