When the sun starts to rise on the orison, A big school castle is seen on a cliff side. Inside the ballroom where all the new students sleep, the sun shone through the windows.
Ruby opened her eyes as she heard everyone talking around her, she looked at her sister to see she is still asleep and smile in excitement.
"V are you awake yet bud" she asks Venom as she stretches her arm above her head with a yawn as she receives no answer from him he must still be asleep like Yang.
She heard an energetic girl a few meters from her as she watched them. The girl kept on talking while the boy was busy folding up his bed and she shook her head and turned to Yang and started to shake her shoulder "Yang it is time to wake up sis" she said with a smile.
"Five more minutes Rub" she mumbles in her sleep and pulls the cover over her head as Ruby laughs.
"Come on Yang it is our first day at Beacon, let's go." she said with an excited voice while she jumped on her sister.
"Ruby knock it off will you, I still trying to sleep here" Yang said pushing her off.
Ruby pouted then she just turned to her bed and started to fold it up, while grabbing her black clothing with a skirt, boots, leggings, and her red cape and went to the bathroom where a few girls were getting dressed. She walked to an empty stall to take a shower closed the door behind her undress and opened the hot medium water.
"good morning my little rose host" Venom said to her which startled her a bit.
"Good morning to you V, I thought you were still asleep buddy" she said in her head she stepped into the warm water and the water washed over her body while she took the soap to wash herself.
"I just woke up now so are you existing for today" Venom asks her curiously.
"Yes I am, I just hope to be on Yang's team." Ruby said with a smile.
"we will be on her team Ruby and what do you want to do after the Intuition mm" Venom asked with a curious look on his face.
"you know I don't know, how about we break away from everyone after the ceremony and go for a swing through the woods again what do you think V" she asked as the water rinse her off.
"I like that idea very much so let's go eat something" Venom said.
Ruby closes the tap and grabs a towel to wipe her dry as she steps out of the shower to grab her clothing to dress.
Once she finished dressing herself she saw her sister a few feet from her and walked over to her.
"so you finally decided to wake up huh sis?" Ruby asks with a smile.
"Good morning Rubs and yes, I see you already got dressed huh" Yang said while hugging her. "Let's go grab something to eat and our weapons" she said while dragging her sister with her to the cafeteria.
When Ruby and Yang entered the cafeteria she saw every student on campus in the room Velvet looked up from her food to see Ruby with a blond girl pulling her along as Ruby laughed.
"Yang there is no need to pull me you know" she said as they grabbed pancakes for breakfast while Ruby through chocolate syrup over it and went to sit down with Yang.
"MM look delicious Rub" Venom said as Ruby started to eat her food she noticed that ginger girl still going on with the boy from earlier and shook her head is she still talking to him since I last saw her I wondered Ruby thought as she saw Velvet next to her team and wave to her with a smile.
When they finished eating Ruby and Yang went to the locker room to get their equipment.
In the locker room, all the students are getting their weapons ready. The boy with green clothing and black hair with a pink stripe and a ginger hair girl still talking all the way while the boy takes out his green weapons to check if they are ready
"Nora" he said to her which grabbed her attention
"Yes Ren" she said with a smile.
"I don't think sloth make a lot of noise" Ren said as he put his weapons away inside his arms sleeves.
Nora thinks for a bit then puts her arms up and says "THAT'S why it is perfect no one will suspect we work together" while bouncing around.
"Come on Nora" he said while closing his locker and smiling while walking away.
"Not together... together" she said while chuckling to herself following him out.
"I wonder what those two got so worked up about" Ruby said as she was still busy in her locker.
"That girl does have a lot of energy huh" Venom asks her as Yang turns around to answer Ruby.
"Oh who knows, so you seem awfully gibber this morning" Yang said while crossing her arms to look at her sister.
"yes she does V" Ruby said to Venom and turned to her sister "yip" she said while turning back to her locker taking out Crimson Rose and hugging it "no more award talks, today I will let my sweetheart do the talking" while Venom laughs at her as she closes her eyes.
Ruby turns to Yang as she opens her eyes again to listen to her.
"Now remember Ruby you are not the only one going to the intuition, if you meet new people you going to have to learn to work together" she said with a smile.
Ruby narrowed her eyes "UGH you sound like Dad Yang please stop" Ruby said frustrated while throwing her weapon back in the locker.
"You don't need new people if you have me with you" Venom said to her as Ruby turned to Yang again.
"and first of all, what does meeting new people have to do with fighting and secondly I don't need people to help me grow up I drink milk" Ruby said while crossing her arms "and you are right V I do have you" she said to Venom in her head while turning around look at her locker.
"...find teams" Yang finished saying as Ruby snapped back to look at her again.
"Huh what was that about teams sis" Ruby asked confused as Yang looked at her
"Did you not hear what I said about teams Rubs where is your mind?" Yang asks her in concern.
"Was just thinking about something, I just want to be on your team" she said turning around again with a sad look.
"well what about being on someone else's team to break out of your shell" Yang said while nervously playing with her hair Ruby spun around angrily and stalked towards her with narrow eyes and poked her sister hard.
"My dear sister YANG are you implying that you don't want to be on the same team as Me, I don't need new people in my life and while we are on the subject don't betray me like that" she growls at the end as her silver eyes turn halfway black as Yang take a step back and notice it for the first time.
"Ruby what is happening to you I won't betray you like that" Yang said a bit scared as she felt the aura emitting from her sister was dangerous Ruby closed her eyes to take a deep breath to calm down and reopened her eyes again as it was their silver color again and look at her sister still with narrow eyes.
"nothing is happening to me Yang just don't betray me like that please" Ruby pleaded with Yang "V was that your feeling I just felt" she asked Venom in her head.
"Yes it was I don't like to be betrayed again it will make me more angry than I already am, but you calm me down a lot." Venom said to her as Ruby heard a commotion happening down a few lockers from them she turned to look to see a spear headed straight to Juane which hit him against the locker a girl in red said that she was sorry in a genuine voice while approaching Weiss.
"will all first-year students please report to the cliffs for Intuition, will all first-year students please report to the cliffs for Intuition please" Goodwicht said over the speaker.
Ruby turns back to her locker grabs her weapon puts it behind her back closes the locker locks it and walks towards Jaune with her sister following her.
"Having some trouble there lady killer?" Yang asks with a smile and one hand on her hip while Ruby helps Juane up from the ground.
"I don't understand, my dad said that all women look for is confidence, where did I go wrong" Jaune whined like a little kid while taking Ruby's hand to stand up.
"he whines like a little bitch haha" Venom laughs while Ruby's eyes widen a bit "V language and be nice" she said to Venom in her head.
"come on Juane let go" as Ruby put her arm around his hip to help him walk Juane put his arm around Ruby's shoulder.
"Ah, that nice do you like him" Venom teased Ruby.
Ruby's cheeks tinted a bit red and shook her head and took deep breaths to calm her pulse down as Juane looked at her.
"Ruby are you okay" Juane asks her as she nods her head to him.
They walk for a bid when they reach the cliff side to see a lot of students line up in front of the two professors. Ruby went to stand beside her sister and was a bit nervous about the intuition as Venom tried to send smooth feelings to her.
"you going to do great Rub and I will eat anything standing in our way" Venom said to her as she tried to relax.
"for years many of you have trained to be warriors and today you will test that in the Emerald Forest" Ozpin said while he take a sip of the coffee in his hand.
"Now I am sure many of you have heard rumors about assignments of teams, well allow us to put those rumors to rest. Each of you will be given a teammate today" Glenda said while holding her tablet.
"What" Ruby whisper to herself.
"These teammates will be with you for the rest of the time at Beacon, so it is in your best interest to pair with someone you can well work with" Ozpin said to the students as Ruby became more unconformable. "that being said the first person that you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years."
"see I told you" Nora said to her friend Ren.
Ruby became heartbroken with wide eyes "What, NO not that" her voice mixed with Venom's as everyone looked at her a bit weirded out and Ozpin's eyes narrowed slightly in suspicious behind his small black glasses.
"after you partner up make your way to the northern edge of the forest, you will meet opposition along the way do not hesitate to destroy anything in your path or you will die" Ozpin warns them about the dangers they going to face.
"I like that idea Rub we will show them what we are made of" Venom said in her head with conviction.
"you will be monitored and graded accordingly for the duration of this institution but our instructors will not intervene, you will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff, we guard that and as well as your standing and grade you appropriately now are there any questions." Ozpin put the rules out in the open.
Jaune raises his hand "Uh yes"
Ozpin cut him off "good now take your positions" as everyone made their stance ready to launch off.
"Uh, sir I got a question" Jaune asks as Weiss is being shot into the air Venom becomes surprised at the action.
"This out to be fun let's get started" Venom exclaimed with excitement
"this landing strategy what is it, will you be dropping us off or something" Juane continues to ask still unaware of his peers being launched into the air.
"No, you will be falling" Ozpin answered amused with a smile
"do we get like parachutes or something" Juane asked nervously
"no you be making your own landing strategy" Ozpin said while taking a sip of his coffee.
Yang gives a wink to her sister puts on her sunglasses and is launched into the air. Ruby is launched next with an excited smile on her face "let's get this party started" Ruby said.
"what exactly is a landing stratEEEEEE" Juane shouted as he was launched next.
Glenda and Ozpin turn around to watch the students fly through the sky as Ozpin turns to Glenda.
"Did Miss Rose seem different to you today?" Opzin asked while drinking his coffee.
"she did seem off to me also compared to yesterday Sir" Glenda replied.
"MM I will still keep my eye on her, we will not lose her as we lost Summer to Salem for her eyes." Ozpin said to himself.
Ruby is flying through the sky with glee as she looks around at the forest below her and thinks about how to make her landing strategy without revealing her symbiote to the cameras in the area.
"how are we going to make our landing strategy V, we can't let the professors see us even a bit?" Ruby asked as she was still falling through the sky as the ground was approaching.
"allow me to take control and I will show you what we can do" Venom said with a glee.
"are you crazy we will be discovered if you do something weird." she exclaimed.
"than you leave me no choice so sit back and enjoy the show" Venom said as she suddenly lost control of her entire body as she felt like a prisoner in her own body.
"V WHAT ARE YOU DOING RELEASE ME NOW" Ruby screamed angrily as Venom felt something in the area affect him but tried to shield Ruby from it.
Ruby is closing to the ground when two black tentacles suddenly erupt from her back to latch onto the tree slow her fall down to a smooth landing as she looks around for any cameras and allows a predator smile to form on her young face and eyes to turn completely black and started to run deep into the forest while Ruby still struggle to gain control back of her body.
"Stop struggling Ruby" Venom warns her as her dark emotions make him stronger and an unknown presence invades Venom's mind.
"Why are you doing V what has gotten over you" Ruby cried with tears in her eyes as she spotted three Ursas and came to a stop and looked at them.
"I am sorry Ruby, there is something in this forest that makes me act so aggressive that I am fighting it to keep most of my anger in check but I am losing it quickly" Venom said to her as he still kept fighting those dark feelings invading him. The three Usra charge at Ruby when she suddenly rolls to the side and jumps up on her feet and charges at the first Ursa to punch it in the face and jump over the one that attacked from behind as it crashed into a tree. Her hands were covered in black goo as claws formed when she landed on the ground, she suddenly charged at them and extended her one arm when suddenly her arm extent to a black long tentacle to pierce the first Unsa through the heart and she spun around to face the other two as she becomes much more savage in her behavior that it scared her so bad that she trembles in fear of the symbiote now true power when she grabs her weapon from behind her and turns into a gun form and shot on in the head as the last one slap the weapon out of her hands as she growls at him.
I have to get rid of V but how Ruby thinks to herself in fear and depression.
Ruby narrowed her black eyes at the last Ursa as she suddenly gained height and muscle the symbiote covered her entire body like a black skin skin-tight adult amazon woman with white eye sockets and a mouth filled with sharp teeth and a long tongue and a white spider on her chest. She jumped on his back and started to slash it as the Grimm screeched in pain and black tentacles emerged from her back to pears through the mouth it dissolved into ash as she landed on her feet and went over to pick up her fallen weapon and put it back behind her as a small area reveal dark clothing behind her and then reattach again to seal it again.
Weiss emerged out of the trees and stopped when she saw a back female figure. Weiss took a small step back and anciently stepped on a twig that made a snap sound as the figure in black spun around to face her and smiled like a predator as Weiss screamed in terror.
"Weiss Shnee, so good of you to show up to have our revenge on you for yesterday" Venom said as she started to approach her.
"V please stop I beg you, you are starting to scare me I don't want to hurt her" Ruby begs Venom to stop but she still approaches Weiss with a murder intent in her eyes.
"what ...what are you" Weiss ask fearfully as she feels its dark presence.
Suddenly the woman stopped as it was struggling in an internal battle when she suddenly gripped her arm to rip off a piece to reveal black clothing underneath, the goo reattached themselves together again and the goo that fell to the ground crawled back to her and merged with her leg as they became one again.
"HOW DARE YOU TRY TO REJECT US." Venom growls as Weiss looks afraid and suddenly turns tail and runs.
Ruby fell to her knees she gripped her face and pulled as hard as she could as the symbiote still kept reattaching themselves to her face to stay together as her face showed terror underneath and screamed.
"HELP ME PLEASE" Ruby cried for someone to help her as she still tried to pull the symbiote off her face Venom suddenly saw the cause of their behavior.
"Ruby look other there by the trees" Venom said as Ruby paused in her struggle to look to see a floating grimm as it watched them "that is the cause of my anger being out of control we need to destroy it before we both become lost, it is trying to invade us which is what I am trying to shield you from" Venom explain as Ruby started to feel a small connection to the Grimm as she screams very loud that all the bird flee and every other student pause to look in the direction what it came from and Yang's eyes widen as she recognizes that scream.
"RUBY!" Yang screamed as she suddenly ran towards her sister's voice in a panic Blake followed her partner and Weiss also stopped to suddenly turn around to go back to help the young teen that stumbled on that monster woman.
The mask seals again on Ruby's face silencing her scream as she stands up to approach the floating Grimm it emits a stronger will over Ruby as she almost succumbs to its influence when the rest of the students emerge from the trees as the grimm and Venom turn to them.
"what is that thing and where is Ruby" Yang asked panicked as she looked around
the Grimm turned to Venom and emitted a stronger will over her as she grabbed her head and screamed in pain in her mixed voice.
"KILL THEM MY PET AND PROVE YOURSELF TO ME YOU UNKNOWN ENTITY OF DARKNESS TO BE MY NEW SLEEPER AGENT SOLDIER" The grimm emits a female voice to Venom as the rest of the students watch in terror.
Venom screeched loudly as he was lost in the grimm influence and a small part of Ruby still tried to resist the command.
"V we have to fight her" Ruby pleaded one last time before going silent forever as Venom now faced the students with a murder look in her eyes.
"WE ARE SHE-VENOM NOW AND WE WILL DO AS YOU COMMAND MISTRESS" She-venom said and loudly roared at them as she jumped to Pyrrha first to slash at her shield and engaged in hand-to-hand combat as Pyrrha struggled to keep up with its overwhelming strength and speed as the other student become scared of this monster and Yang's eyes become red.
"Where is my sister you monster" Yang yelled out to She-Venom as she charged towards. She-Venom jumped back to dodge Yang and kick Pyrrha away and turned around and started throwing hard punches at Yang a few got through her defenses and She-Venom jumped back to avoid a spear stab from Pyrrha as she stood up facing them and suddenly laughed. She-Venom shot a dark web out her wrist to hit Pyrrha arms together to keep her out of the fight for a bit.
"I WILL DEAL WITH YOU MONETARY PHYRRHA" She-Venom said then turned back to Yang and jumped on her while she slashed at her right eye with her claws blood fell to the ground when Yang stager back in pain and held a hand over her one eye as Jaune cut Pyrrha loose to regroup to evaluate the battle.
"YOUR SISTER WAS WEAK AND I DESTROYED HER THE SAME WAY I WILL DESTROY YOU ALL HAHAHA" She-venom laughs evilly.
"We have to kill this thing guys even if some of us don't survive the encounter" Weiss said and charged at her to cut a wound in her arm She-Venom spun around and punched Weiss in the face as she fell on the ground and stood up again as her arm heals the cut and Juane notice it immediately.
"Guys we can't kill it because it heals any damage we do to its body immediately. But I think we should call the professor to handle it, we are no match for it." Jaune said as Nora yelled while running to attack She-Venom to try hitting her on the back of the head four tentacles emerged from her back to grab the hammer out of her hands and push her against a tree hard to knock her out as pink semblance floating up in the air and use the hammer to hit Weiss over her head as she falls to the ground as blue semblance floated up from her body while she groans than grabbing Yang by the throat with her tentacles and started choking her as she approaches her and lick her face and open her mouth wide to bite her head off as Yang eyes widen and started to struggle to get away.
Jaune slowly released that it would kill them all if they didn't stop it and spotted the floating grimm still nearby.
"Pyrrha, Blake I think that floating Grimm is controlling that monster and Ren needs to distract it while you try to destroy that Grimm it is our only chance to survive this encounter" Juane said as he looked at the other three members of the group. Ren nodded took out his StormFlower ran toward the battle and started shooting at She-Venom.
"Hey let her go" he yelled as She-Venom was about to eat Yang turned toward Ren as the bullets bounced off her and tossed Yang against a tree and web her on the chest to keep her there.
"YOU THINK YOU ARE A THREAT TO ME I CANT BE KILLED MORTAL I WILL DEVOUR YOU FOR MY MISTRESS" She-Venom said in a marvelous voice as she suddenly grabbed him with a tentacle meanwhile Blake and Pyrrha, they run toward the lone Grimm as it suddenly started spinning to slam them away but it hit a shadow of Blake semblance when Blake suddenly appear onto the Grimm and slam her weapon down on it the Grimm screech in pain as she twisted it deeper when it started to dissolve as Pyrrha stands up and look towards the black figure.
She-Venom was about to kill Ren when Ruby came to her senses again "what is happening V stop please" Ruby pleaded with Venom as she suddenly froze in a mid-swing to swipe his head off his body while holding him with her tentacles with her claws inches from his face and release Ren while taking a step back and look around to see Weiss and Nora unconscious and Yang web to a tree with a deep wound on her right eye and struggle to get loose.
"What have WE done" She-Venom cried and turned tail and fled into the woods with a black tornado with black rose petals following behind.
"we have to go after it now untie me now" Yang yelled as she struggled to loosen the black webbing on her chest she recognized that black rose petals falling to the ground.
"No Yang, we can barely fight now we are all tired, that was something else we haven't seen before we don't even know what it is, but it left us alive just now, which is something we should be grateful for." Blake said as she approached Yang and cut the web loose.
"then I will go after it myself for killing Ruby" Yang growled she wiped the blood off her face to reveal a scared eye and five deep claw marks across her cheek and started following that monster woman.
"Make sure they are OK, I am going after her before she gets herself killed" Blake said to the rest of them and ran after Yang.
Meanwhile Ruby stops by a tree while she cries as the memories keep replaying in her head as the symbiote retracted back into her body as she grows small again.
"what have I done? What have I done? I almost killed them all. I need to get rid of this symbiote but how" Ruby cried as she sat down and buried her face in her arms.
Yang burst out of the trees in rage looking for She-Venom when she saw her sister crying by a tree on the ground, her one good eye winded in relief and ran towards her.
"Ruby you OK" Yang cried in relief as Ruby looked up and tried to stand up to run away.
"Yang please don't come closer" Ruby cried as she backed away "I don't want to hurt you again"
Yang stopped while looking confused as Ruby suddenly used her semblance to run away again red rose petals fell to the ground as she went deeper into the forest in a red tornado.
"Ruby wait" Yang screamed for her sister when she heard footsteps from behind her she turned around and saw Blake.
"Yang did you just say your sister's name" Blake asks confused as as she looks around.
"I did, she look so broken and scared that she is afraid to hurt me again, but I don't understand. I have to find her now" Yang stated sternly and ran in the direction that Ruby went in as the other showed up when Blake turned to them.
"come on let's go" Blake said as she ran after Yang.
Ruby emerged in a clear area to see the ruins in front of her "the ruins for the relics but what does it matter anymore I can't go to Beacon further because of what we did V" Ruby said in a sad voice and red puffy eyes and turn to walk deeper into woods when 10 later when a Sabyr suddenly appeared in front of her. She jumped back in shock as Venom suddenly lashed out with tentacles from her back to grab it around the body and rip it apart with another tentacle as the Sabyr dissolved, she suddenly grabbed the tentacles still visible and tried to pull it off her as she fall to her knees when Venom head emerged from her chest and look up at her.
"WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO RUBY DON'T REJECT ME" Venom growls as two more tentacles emerge from her back to grab her arms as to hold them apart while the other two that she tried to pull off went back into her body.
"Please Venom, I need you to leave me alone because you turned me into a monster earlier" Ruby cried as she struggled to free her arms from the tentacles.
Venom's head went inside her chest again and emerged from behind her to look around for that presence again and turn back to her.
"Ruby I am going to release you promise me you won't try to pull me off you, I will explain what happened earlier is that a deal" Venom asked her.
He looks at her when Ruby gives a silent nod when the two tentacles release her arms and retract back into her body and he keeps looking around on high alert.
"what happened earlier V because I am scared, my head still feels kind of foggy of that hatred and anger that it gave me a headache." Ruby explains in a small voice as she rubs her temples and wipes her tears away with her other hand.
Venom used a tentacle from her back to wipe her face dry and gave her a small smile "What happened early was some kind of dark link trying to control us like puppets, I don't know how it happened but it scared me too Ruby" Venom said as he still looks around.
"you mean if that thing shows up again it will happen once more" Ruby asks very scared now as tears appear in her eyes again.
"I am afraid so Ruby, so we need to fortify our bond and mind to shield ourselves." Venom explained as one tentacle emerged from her back again to wipe her tears away.
"How can we do that because it scared me to death what happened" Ruby sniffed as she wiped her nose.
"we need to fully bond as one being are you willing to do that Ruby" Venom asked as Ruby looked at him when Venom suddenly retracted back into her body "someone is coming this way Rub we will talk later I promise" Ruby turned to look behind her to see Weiss approach her and made eye contact with her.
Earlier with the rest of the group, they all searched for Ruby they decided to split into two teams. Yang and Blake walked to the ruins to search there while Weiss searched on her own not far from the group.
"Yang, is your eye OK?" Blake asked concern as she looked at the wound on Yang's face.
"It kind of hurts every time I blink but at least the blood has stopped flowing" Yang said as she touched her face and wince "but I am glad to be alive, but let's talk about that thing back there" Yang said while looking ahead.
"what about it Yang" Blake asks curiously.
"what kind of Grimm was it Blake do you know" Yang asked with a curious face.
"I don't think that thing was a Grimm Yang, it looks more like an adult woman to me in a skin-tight black suit with a monstrous face and those long claws, it healed its wounds quickly after Weiss cut them so I don't think it can be killed even if we tried" Blake explained to Yang with a thoughtful look.
"there was something familiar at the end of the fight though that has me bugging me for a while now" Yang said as Blake raised an eyebrow at her to explain further.
"that rose pedal it used to run away is the same as my sister's semblance but it was black instead of red" Yang said as she looked at Blake out of the corner of her eye.
"You don't think it was someone in Ruby's bloodline do you" Blake asked curiously.
Yang stops dead in her tracks and her eyes widen as she thinks of such a person and turns to Blake and grabs her on the shoulders.
"It can't be her" Yang said with a shaky voice.
"Who?" Blake asks confused as she looks into Yang's wide eyes.
"Summer Rose my and Ruby's mom" Yang said shaking as she let go of Blake to walk again when they emerged into a clearing to see ruins in front of them.
"while we are here why don't we grab our relics and then continuously search for Ruby and that thing so I can know if I was right." Yang said as she approached the ruins and picked up a white Pony
"how about a white Pony huh Blake" Yang asks as she shows it with a smile
"Sure" Blake replied rolling her eyes as she turned around to walk away to continue searching as Yang followed her.
Meanwhile, with the professors on the cliff, they are confused and concerned for the students and that unknown roar they heard earlier and Ruby's terrified scream.
"there are still two students who haven't formed a partnership yet, but what happened to the few of the cameras sir" Glenda asked she looked at her tablet to slide through the footage as a few were static.
"I don't know Glenda but I am more concerned about that roar we heard, if it is that same Grimm team CVFY encountered last night then they might be in danger if Cocco report was anything to go by." Ozpin said with a frown on his face as he looked at his tablet and searched for Ruby footage to find it static Yang and Blake arrived at the ruins to pick up their relics.
"what was the report about it?" Glenda wants to know as she turns to him.
"not much to say only that it fled the moment it saw them and they lost it close to Beacon grounds" Ozpin said as Glenda's expression hardened.
"than we have to keep an extra close eye on the school for it" Glenda said to which Ozpin nodded his head.
Ruby watched Weiss wearily and took a step back to run "Ruby stop please" Weiss said in a concerned voice as she took in her appearance.
"Weiss please leave me alone, I don't want to hurt you again" Ruby cried and turned tail and ran as Weiss followed her. Ruby suddenly arrives back at the ruined side of the temple and sees her sister and Blake there she stops to search for a quick way to escape as her sister spots her.
"Ruby wait please" Yang pleaded.
"No, I don't want to hurt you guys again" Ruby cried as she fell to her knees and cried as Weiss came up behind her and put a hand on her shoulder causing Ruby to stiffen. Yang runs up to Ruby crunching down on her knees and pulls her sister into a hug as Ruby tries to pull away.
"Please Yang let me go, I am a monster" she cried harder.
"what do you mean Ruby" Yang asks concerned.
"V there any cameras in the area where we are" Ruby asked in her head
"yes try to calm down" Venom said to Ruby in her head.
"I... I... I..hu...hurt you guys" Ruby confessed which confused the group as she cried.
"You are such a child please grow up" Weiss exclaimed with her hands on her hips.
Yang looked angered at that and glared at Weiss for that comment and turned back to Ruby and hugged her tighter as Ruby cried "Rubs how did you hurt us I don't understand" Yang asked as Ruby looked up and hesitantly touched her sister's face.
"Venom can you heal my sister" Ruby asks Venom in her head.
"I can use a small piece of myself to heal her" Venom said as Ruby slowly wiped the wound on Yang's face.
"Yang do you trust me" Ruby asked as Yang flinched still hurt she took her sister's hand to notice it covered in black goo when Ruby put her hand back on her sister's face and transferred a small piece into her face to heal the wound and her one eye return to full sight, as the black goo retreats back into Ruby hand and turned normal again as Weiss and Blake look at them wide-eyed. Yang slowly touched her face again and felt it when she noticed that there was no pain and that it was smooth.
"How did you do that Ruby" Yang questioned in wonder as Ruby slowly smiled as she dried her face of tears with her arm.
"that is my secret sis, now where is the other" Ruby looked around for them and turned to Weiss.
"I guess we have to collect our relics huh Weiss" Ruby said as she stood up to walk toward the ruins.
"pick the white horse Ruby because that is what Yang has with her" Venom advised her.
Ruby smiled and walked to the white horse relic put it in her pocket and turned back to her sister, Weiss, and Blake and walked toward them.
"I am sorry for earlier guys except you Blake because I did not hurt you I could not control myself" Ruby explained to them, suddenly from the sky, Juane came flying as if he was thrown when Ruby suddenly leaped into action as she used her semblance to travel up into the sky to catch Juane as they safely landed on a tree branch and look at him.
"are you ok Jaune" Ruby asked in a concerned voice he nodded they both turned to the forest as Pyrrha emerged with a Death-stalker on her tail
"is that a Death-stalker" Ruby asked confused and jumped down the tree took out her weapon unfolded it to sniper form and started shooting it in the face as it changed course and ran towards Ruby. As the Death-stalker approached Ruby a fireshot hit it from behind, the Grimm stop to look around who did that. Ruby lowers her weapon to see Yang and Blake with their weapons raised and turns toward the trees to see the other two emerge, she turns back to the Grimm.
"Guys those of you who don't have a relic, go grab one, and then let's head back to the cliffs to end this test" Ruby shouted as the other four students nodded and Nora and Pyrrha ran to the ruins to pick up their relics as she transformed her Crescent Rose into a scythe and started running towards it to slice the Grimm when it slams her away with it claw-grasp and started running towards Ruby who is slowly getting back up.
"Ruby!" Yang yelled as Weiss ran to her aid slammed her sword into the ground and summoned an ice glyph underneath her to freeze the tail Ice spiked a few inches from Ruby's face and her eyes widened in shock as was very close to death she turned and saw Weiss angrily approaching.
"You are so childish, immature and hyperactive child and don't get me started on your fighting style but if we are going to survive this we all need to work together." Weiss said as she helped Ruby up.
"you are right Weiss" Ruby said as they heard a flapping sound in the sky all of them looked up to see a Nevermore Grimm. "We have the relics, we don't need to fight them so let's withdraw to the cliffs guys" Ruby explained to them all as they gathered around.
"Run and live now that is an idea I can get behind" Juane agreed with Ruby.
All of them turn tail and run toward the woods as Yang looks on proudly
"what is it" Blake asked as Yang turned toward her and smiled
"nothing" Yang said and followed the group with Blake behind her.
The group runs through the trees to enter on the other side to see a drop-off cliff temple in the middle of the ground and notice the Nevermore flying overhead to land on the pillars and roar at them with its wings spread wide as they hide behind pillars to observe their options.
"oh great we all going to struggle to kill it and we are still tired of that previous battle with that unknown strong figure from earlier and it might still be around her somewhere" Yang said as she looked around the corner at the bird and miss Ruby flinch but Blake did not as she narrowed her eyes.
What are you hiding Ruby and what exactly did you mean that you hurt us Blake thought as her eyes winded in shock you are that figure but I will confront you later.
"we just have to work together this time guys" Ruby said as the Death-stalker ran the trees flat and roared at them.
"oh man run" Jaune shouted as all of them ran as the Nevermore rose into the sky.
"Nora distracts it" Ren said as Nora dodged the feathers being shot at them while pulling out her Magnhild and transforming into a grenade launcher and started shooting the Nevermore in the face as it screeched in pain and flew a bit away as the rest of them run towards the bridge as the Deathstalker approach Nora from behind to run her over as Ren and Blake jump in front of him shoot it and stab it as Weiss jump next to Nora and create a summoning glyph underneath them and jump out of the way and run to the rest of them and as they were about to cross the bridge, Pyrrha and Ren stop to shoot the Death-stalker while she shouts to them to keep moving. The Nevermore started to fly a big circle in the air and went to crush through the bridge, causing everyone to jump out of the way as they became separate with Ruby, Yang, Weiss, Juane, and Nora on the one side and Pyrrha, Ren, and Blake on the other side as they engage the Death-stalker in battle and are struggling as they are still tired.
"Man we have to get over there and help them" Jaune said to Nora
"Let do it" Nora replied while holding her Magnhild
"Yes but I can't make that jump" Jaune said while looking down as Nora smirked and pushed Jaune to the ground and transformed her gun into a hammer form to spin around to hit her hammer hard on the ground after she jumped in the air to sling Jaune over the edge and she jumps on her hammer and pulls the trigger to boost herself over the edge also as she crash on top the Grimm and shoot it as she flies backward and hit Blake of the cliff.
As Blake fell she saw the Nevermore flying overhead, she threw her weapon against a stone wall to swing up to on top of the Nevermore and started running along its back while slicing and jumping off to land with the rest of them as the Nevermore circle again.
"Is it tougher than it looks?" Blake said to them
"then let's hit it with everything we got" Yang replied and contentious shooting it as Blake transformed her Gambol Shroud into a gun, the three of them started shooting while Weiss through fire summing from her Myrtenaster as the Nevermore flew through each attack, and crush through the stone pillars below them, as they started to fall each of them jump up the stone as Ruby transform her arms in black goo to shoot web out to swing to safety and landed on a small bridge and continuous shooting her Crescent Rose, her arms return to normal as Weiss landed next to using her glyphs.
"non of this is working" Weiss remarked frustrated as Ruby looked around to see Blake running to land and Yang shooting her Ember Celica on top of a pillar that she landed on at the Nevermore and turned back to Weiss.
"I have a plan cover me" Ruby said as she ran to her starting position
"hey V think you can help me out at that last part when I will run up that cliff?" Ruby asked as she ran to jump on a small rock unfolded her Crescent Rose looked to Yang and shouted to her to bring Nevermore down by the cliff and turned to look and Jaune and his team to see they just killed the Death-stalker and smiled.
"they did good Ruby and I am ready to assist you" Venom let Ruby know.
Yang keeps shooting the Nevermore and jumps into its mouth, she shouts with each shot she takes "I HOPE YOU ARE HUNGRY" as the giant bird crashes against the mountain and she jumps out of its mouth and runs to her next position. Weiss runs to the cliff and stabs her Myrtenaster into the ground to form ice on the Nevermore tail to keep it ground and jumps back and makes another glyph underneath herself to give herself a boost to jump to Ruby's location.
Blake lands on a stone pillar and though her sword to Yang who catches it and pulls it tight, Ruby jumps up to hook her Crescent Rose on the wire as Weiss forms a black Glyph behind Ruby to pull her back next to her.
"Of course you will come up with a plan like this" Weiss looks to Ruby while holding two fingers forward and looking at the Nevermore.
"Think you can make the shot" Ruby asks uncertainly turning her head to look at Weiss.
"Can I?" Weiss said while Ruby raised her eyebrow and her eyes turned a bit black.
"can you Weiss" Venom/Ruby ask at the same time in Ruby's mixed voice
Weiss turned back to her in iteration and froze as she noticed Ruby's black ires mixed with silver and a different voice.
"focus Weiss can you" Ruby/Venom asks again as Weiss snaps out of it
I will get to the bottom of this later Weiss thinks and snap at Ruby "OF COURSE I CAN" Ruby loaded her weapon and faced forward with a determinant face as Weiss released her black glyph, Ruby shot forward while shooting ammo to give more momentum as she suddenly swings her weapon onto the Nevermore neck and started running up the cliff as Weiss summons white Glyphs to the top while two black tentacles emerged from Ruby back to grab the Nevermore while Ruby shoots her weapon downwards to start running up the cliff as they reach the top, she swung around to chop its head off as her black tentacles retract back into her body and red cape flow in the wind and red rose is seen.
"we did it Venom" Ruby exclaimed excitedly then sobered up a bid when a few tears escaped her eyes "but we still need to finish that talk we had because I am scared"
"Congratulations Ruby and yes we need to finish our talk" Venom said as they looked down the cliff toward the other when Ruby heard something approaching and turned around to see the same Grimm who started the whole nightmare for Ruby.
"ah, my sleeper child of darkness still denying who you are" the voice asks curiously.
"Who are you" Ruby asked scared while taking a few steps back
"dear girl, I am not referring to you, but rather that dark creature inside your heart, YOU BOTH WILL ABBEY ME" the Grimm said as Ruby suddenly dropped her Crescent Rose and clutched her head while crying out in pain when a sudden cane struck the Grimm and turn toward it attacker.
"ah Opzin so good to see you again my love" the voice said again as Ruby looked up with tears in her eyes.
"Professor" Ruby said with a weak voice and Ozpin looked at her and turned back to the floating Grimm.
"What do you want with her" he asked angrily.
"oh my dear Oz, we will meet again but dear girl you will come to me when I summon you my dear" the Grimm withdrew after addressing Ruby.
"V I am scared what does she want with us" Ruby asks Venom in her head
"I don't know but we need to strengthen our bond and mind against her because she is something I have never faced before" Venom said as Ozpin turned to Ruby
"Miss Rose are you alight" Ozpin asked with a suspicious look in his eyes as he held out his hand to her.
Ruby takes his hand to stand up as the rest of her friends and sister show up "I will be all right Processor but who was that who wanted me" Ruby asks scared as the other looks confused.
Ozpin sighs and turns to the other then back to Ruby.
"Don't worry who that was Miss Rose." Ozpin said then turned to the others "you students have done well, let's head back to the school" he addressed them and turned to walk away. The rest of them follow as Ruby slowly walks at the back while she cries silently and is scared.
"he knows who that voice was Rub" Venom cautioned her
"I get that feeling too V like he wants to hide it away but are we any different" Ruby said in her head as she sniffes.
Yang noticed her looking sad and fell back next to her and put her arm around her shoulder to give a side hug "Ruby are you all right" she asked concerned.
"no Yang, I am not all right I'm scared" Ruby explains with a scared voice as Yang gives a harder side hug.
"Tell me what happened because down there you look so determined" Yang asked as Ruby wiped her eyes and took a deep breath.
"there is someone after me that the processor had to save me just now" Ruby explained.
Weiss and Blake fell back next to them put their hands on her shoulder and squeezed it "hey, we will help you if you need anything all right" Blake said to her, and Weiss nodded.
A few hours later in the auditorium, the teams assigned as the next people were called to the stage.
"Juane Arc, Lie Ren, Pyrrha Nicos, Nora Valkyrie the four of you retrieve the white rook piece, from this day forward you will work together as Team JPNR led by Jaune Arc" Ozpin announced as Pyrrha punched him in the arm happily as he falls to the ground "congratulations young man" he contentious and turn toward the last team as their hologram show up next.
"and finally Blake Belladonna, Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, and Yang Xiao Long. The four of you have retrieved the white knight, from this day forward you work together as team RWBY led by Ruby Rose" Ozpin said Weiss looked shocked and Yang suddenly jumped at her sister to give her a big hug.
"I'm so proud of you sis and please cheer up we told you that we would protect you" Yang said.
"Looks like this will be an interesting year and Professor Goodwicht will show you all who have passed to your new team's dorms, thank you and have a good evening." Opzin bid them goodnight as all the students followed Glynda out of the building and headed toward the dormitories and receive the codes for the doors.
Inside team RWBY's room, Ruby decided to go to the roof and exit the room and Yang followed her. Together they stepped on the roof and Ruby went to sit down at the end and look at the stars.
"Ruby please tell me what is wrong" she asks concerned.
"Venom do you think I can tell her about you so we can be protected better against her" Ruby asks Venom.
"we will only tell her because she is family" Venom said and Ruby sighed and turned to Yang.
"Yang do you trust me and promise that you will keep this a secret" Ruby asks in a small scared voice.
Yang immediately becomes concerned and nods "Of course I trust you Rub, you are my only sister, what's wrong" Yang asks as Ruby takes a deep breath and starts to explain everything that happened today in the forest, and when she is finished it is silent.
"you mean that thing we fought was you" Yang asks as Ruby's eyes suddenly turn pitch black.
"I AM NOT A THING YANG" Venom/Ruby said in a mixed voice as Yang became surprised.
"so you are Venom mm, what have you done to my sister to frighten her so much" Yang asked angrily as Ruby/Venom narrowed her eyes and two black tentacles wrapped around Yang's wrist to keep her contained from attacking as she suddenly struggled to get loose as Ruby turn around.
"YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN BEFORE I AM FORCE TO DO SOMETHING RUBY WON'T LIKE, but we do need protection from that voice it scared us both and I was trying to shield your sister from HER" Ruby/Venom said while facing the stars.
"OK fine, what does that woman want with Ruby let me go, I won't attack you" Yang exclaimed as the two tentacles released her and retraced back into Ruby as she turned around and her eyes returned to their normal silver and a black head appeared from behind Ruby.
"I don't know what she wants with us, but if we are out of control again the only way to stop us is fire and loud sound" Venom said as Ruby looked at him.
"will that hurt me as well V" she asked with tears in her eyes as Venom turned to her and nodded his head.
"we are almost fully bonded Ruby just need to strengthen our minds" Venom said.
"how do we strengthen our minds and complete our bond" Ruby asked curious
"to complete our bond fully, you have to accept me completely with body, mind, and soul to become one entity and then we can never be separated and when that happens, we both will die" Venom warns her as Yang's eyes widen in horror
"Ruby don't, you have to get that thing off you" Yang said which made Venom angry, and suddenly two tentacles wrapped around her arms and one more around her neck.
"I AM LOOKING OUT FOR HER, I WILL NOT GIVE HER UP AND TO SHOW YOU WHAT I MEAN ALLOW ME TO DEMONSTRATE" Venom growls.
"V please stop" Ruby cried as she was suddenly covered in black goo and being transformed into an adult amazon built with sharp claws, sharp teeth, and a long tongue that dropped saliva on the ground she narrowed her white eyes at Yang. Venom opens half of her face to show Ruby underneath with small black tentacles moving about her face.
"Yang I can't control him, you said the wrong thing to him and he is angry now, I can feel him deep in my soul becoming one with me, I TOLD YOU I WILL DEMONSTRATE" Ruby and Venom said together as Ruby's eye widen when the mask close over her face again.
"GOODBYE YANG YOU REJECTED US FOR THE LAST TIME, SO WE WILL LOOK AFTER OURSELVES NOW" She-Venom growled at Yang and threw her against a wall as it left a crack on impact and jumped off the building to start swinging toward the woods.
"Ruby!" Yang shouted as she lay on the roof in pain with tears falling down her face "What have I done" she cried.
