Shadow's POV
The class begun with the first teacher, Mr Simon, the science teacher entering the class, we all stood up to greet but he stared at me
"Mr. Chaos why are you looking so tired, you didn't get enough sleep" He asked me
"No sir" I replied him
"Very well then, seat" he ordered the class "Now then I hope you all did the project" He asked the class
"Yes sir" we chorused
"Very well let the class begin, any discussion that you were having before let it end right now" He said with an authoritative tone in his voice
'What a drag' I thought mentally and put my head on the desk and drifted off
Timeskip
"Shadow, wake up, come on Shads" I heard a feminine say to me and I opened my eyes and saw my female friend Akai Kimimaro, a pink haired girl who tied her hair in two ponytail with green eyes looking at me with concern, I got up, streched and yawned
"What happened?" I asked with sleepy eyes
"The class is over of course and according to your schedule, you have gym next" She said looking at my schedule she took from my bag
"I'm not going" I said and she looked at me with confusion
"But why?" She asked confused
"Don't feel like" I said placing my head back on the table to sleep, then Kiyosaki came inside
"Yo Akai, what's up" He said
"I'm good what about you?" She said with a smile
"About to die from the constant attention of Shino" Kiyosaki said rolling his eyes and came to seat on a table close to me
"Yikes you look terrible" Kiyosaki said with false horror
"Fuck you, Saki" I said with my tired eyes glaring at him while he just laughed
"But aren't you going to gym class" he said
"Like I told Akai, I don't feel like going" I said tiredly
"Come on it would be fun" He said and I looked at him with the 'are you serious' face
"What's going to be fun there, Shino constant bullying or the constant mocking" I said
"Well, we're going whether you like it or not" Kiyosaki said getting up from the table and started pulling me "So get up from there" he said still pulling me
"Fine, fuck it, I'm going" I said with a sigh
"Now that's the spirit" Kiyosaki said with a grin
"Like I said before, fuck you Saki" I said with a glare
"Well you guys should have fun" Akai said standing up
"Wait aren't you going with us" Kiyosaki said in confusion
"Nope, I'm having history" She said sadly
"That's a bummer" he said with a frown
"Well have fun Akai" I said with a smile trying to brighten up the mood
"Well we'll see later, right?" She asked
"Count on it" Kiyosaki promised and she left
"Alright, let's go to gym class" Kiyosaki said with a cheerful grin, something rare to see on his face
"I don't know why you're so excited for gym class but anyways, let's go" I said
No one's POV
Shadow and Kiyosaki went to their lockers to change to their gym clothes, a grey coloured T-shirt and grey colored pants with different colours at the side of the pants and at the hand of the shirt, the colour on Shadow's gym clothes was red which blended perfectly with his eyes while Kiyosaki's was royal blue with contrasted with his green eyes.
After they had changed, they went their school's gym which was a large space for many activities to be perform at once, at the track section, there were few people running, at the work out section, there were fewer people working out, Shadow and Kiyosaki normally skipped this class, but when they did come, they normally sat at the audience part, which went half way around the gym but today they were late so things are going to be different
"Why are you two late" Their gym teacher, Mr.Henry roared at them
"Apologies sir, we were working on a project" Shadow lied, bowing his head
"I don't care about that, the school rules states that I possess the authority to administer any punishment to any student who comes late to my class" He said angrily
"The losers are in for it now" a random student said and everybody burst into laughter
"Well then, what's going to be our punishment" Shadow said boldly staring into the gym teacher's eyes
"Shadow what are you doing, ask for forgiveness you stupid fool" Kiyosaki whispered to him but he did not answer
"Oh so you're asking for your punishment eh?, you" He said pointing at Kiyosaki "Go back to your seat now" He said and Kiyosaki had no choice but to obey
"And as for you" he said referring to Shadow "You are to run a 100m race for 10 laps" He said while Shadow looked at him indifferently
"What?, that's 1000m, he'll die" A random student said
"I never liked that Shadow guy but that's torture" another random student said
'Oh fuck me, Shadow if you survive this one, I'll know that there is a something protecting you,oh well good luck' Kiyosaki thought
While many conversations where going on, Shadow was at the foot of the track and started warming up
"Don't die, Shadow" Kiyosaki shouted
"I can't, I made a promise to Akai and I'm going to keep it" Shadow said
"Very well then" Kiyosaki said
"On your mark, set, go" Mr. Henry voice called out and Shadow took off, running as fast as he could, remembering when he was still little, when he ran the 1000m marathon around the city, his parents were cheering for him and remembering their cheer, he ran faster than he ever had, passing the 3rd lap at such a short time
"No way, he's still running, he should have passed out by now" A random student commented
'Should have expected that from you, Shadow Chaos' Kiyosaki thought smiling
He continued his sprint slowing down because of his tiredness but still running at a fast pace, and finished his 5th lap shocking more students because Shadow and Kiyosaki were not athletic people rather they were frail so him running this distance without fainting was really surprising
He continued running refusing to give in to his tiredness and passed his 8th lap, this caused different reactions from those watching him, disappointment was on the faces of those who bet on him not passing the 8th lap, amazement coming from a lot of students including Kiyosaki and anger coming from Shino who wanted to humiliate him and although tired and panting he finished his punishment, he walked up to Mr. Henry, bowed and went to his seat closing his eyes and sleeping among the many conversations going on around him while Kiyosaki looked at him with amazement
Time skip
The bell rang indicating the end of the school period and all the students trooped out of the class while Shadow and Kiyosaki waited under the large oak tree for Akai but after 30 minutes had passed, they became worried
"Where the fuck is Akai" Shadow said extremely worried and he started pacing around
"Calm down Shadow, she could be attending extra classes or something" Kiyosaki said trying to calm Shadow down although he was extremely worried himself
"If she had extra classes, she would have told us" Shadow said in a panicked tone
"You know what, let's go look for her" Shadow said
"What!?, are you crazy we both know that no one is allowed to enter the school after closing hours and anyone caught will suffer serious punishment or suspension or even worse we might get expelled" Kiyosaki said and looked at Shadow as if he was crazy
"It doesn't matter, if you are not going to help me then I'll just go on my own"
Shadow said preparing to enter the school
"I'm not saying that I wouldn't go, it's just that you're making a hasty decision" Kiyosaki said
"Listen what if Akai is in trouble, what then, look Kiyosaki all we need to do is just to sneak and find her and if she's okay we'll leave that's all" Shadow said putting his hand on Kiyosaki's shoulder reassuringly
"fine" Kiyosaki said rolling his eyes
And with both of them in accordance they sneaked into the building avoiding all the guards, going from different sections of the school looking for Akai but they couldn't find her
"Yo Shadow, do you think she's still at school, I mean we've been to almost every place in the school and we still haven't found her, are you sure that we should still keep searching" Kiyosaki whispered to Shadow
"Let's keep searching, how about there, our class" Shadow suggested
The boys peeked through the window and was shocked at what they saw, Shino and his group of bullies surrounded Akai who looked very scared and uncomfortable, they were talking about something but they couldn't hear anything but then Shino roughly held Akai's hand and through the glass they saw how Akai released a scream of pain
This made Shadow very angry and without thinking, he barged into the class and socked Shino square on the cheek making spit out blood
"What the fuck do you think you're doing Shino" Shadow said angrily
"I could asked the same Shadow Chaos, what are YOU doing here, aren't you aware that it's closing hours" Shino said using his hand to wipe the blood on his lips while saw Kiyosaki enter and walked to Shadow
"Seems that the underdog is here as well huh" He said with a dark chuckle
"That isn't what I'm asking" Shadow said with a snarl
"Why don't you mind your fucking business, well you were always the one to stick your nose in other's business, remember Amy" Shino said with a smirk and Shadow flinched then snarled
"HAHAHAHA, the look on your face right now it's priceless" Shino said laughing and his laughter attracted the guard who was patrolling the hallway
"Huh? What are you students doing here" The guards strong voice boomed and Kiyosaki panicked
"Fuck" He whispered under his breath
"Nothing sir, we're all are having extra lessons except those two there" Shino pointed to Shadow and Kiyosaki and the guard looked angry
"Fuck, let's run" Shadow said and grabbed Akai and ran with Kiyosaki following them
"Hey get back here" The guard said and hurried to give chase
They all ran with all their energy and Shadow carried Akai bridal style at one point while Kiyosaki followed them breathing hard, they ran until they were a safe distance from the school then they stopped and Shadow put a blushing Akai down, the two boys panted hard but they were smiling
"Damn, that was fun" Kiyosaki said smiling and still panting
"Tell me about it, we have to sneak into the school another time" Shadow said also smiling and panting
"I just wonder if he recognized our faces" Kiyosaki said thoughtfully
"Even if he doesn't recognize us, Shino will gratefully render our information" Shadow said
"But, how can you two still be so cheerful even if you might get suspended or expelled" Akai said with confusion
"Well if any of those scenarios happen, I'm going to get an earful from my parents but well they wouldn't kill me" Shadow said shrugging his shoulders
"Well as much as I want to keep talking I've got to be going home by now" Kiyosaki said with a yawn
"Alright then let's go, goodbye Akai and be careful" Shadow said with a grin
After saying their goodbyes the two boys set off home walking to their street chatting and making fun of their bullies then they stopped in front of a crossroad then suddenly a car came out of the road and moved in the direction of Shadow and Kiyosaki, thinking quickly Shadow pushed Kiyosaki out of the road and tried to escape but got hit by the car, and rolled on the ground and with his blurry vision he could a lot of faces surrounding him but one thing he could see clearly is a screen telling him
